If Jon was secretly a Dayne, that would make him possibly worthy to wield Dawn against the white walkers and SOOOO much would make sense. But knowing Rat Rat, it’s gonna be one hell of a twist we don’t expect 😭😭
Fun fact: Dawn is based off the Ebony Blade in the MCU. Dane Whiteman wields the Ebony Blade. Both Jon Snow and Dane Whiteman are played by Kit Harrington.

WAIT I DIDNT KNOW ITS BASED OFF THE EBONY BLADE THAT WOULD BE SICK IF HES A DAYNE DOENSPWISHSWKWJSJ
Danish duo in sizzling form as North End bring home the bacon.
North End guaranteed at least Championship football next season with a quite emphatic 3-0 win away at high flying Coventry City. North End took the lead in the opening minute and by half time were out of sight as we cruised to an important win at the Coventry Building Society Stadium. Goals from Keane, Riis and an own goal were enough to put North End in total control and in the second half we managed the game superbly to ensure the hosts never got a smell of making some sort of contest of this game. Irrespective of the home sides performance this must rate as one of the best performances of the season and Ryan Lowe deserves huge credit for turning things around after the narrow defeat away at Leeds back in January.
The manager made just one change from the side that drew with Blackburn last Saturday bringing in Ali McCann for Robbie Brady who missed out with a slight knock. With a minute on the clock North End were in the lead when a corner on the right was played back to Browne who hit a deep cross to the back post which found the head of Riis and the Dane made no mistake heading home. It was a pleasure to watch North End`s crisp accurate passing in the early stages and with twenty minutes gone we were two up. Riis had a shot block but won the ball back and as the ball fell to Keane the leading goalscorer made no mistake firing through the legs of the Coventry keeper. It was all North End and with seven minutes to the break the game was effectively won as Riis played a ball through for Frokjaer and such was the quality that it forced Thomas to attempt to clear but he only succeeded in turning the ball into his own net. Coventry had a couple of chances in the eight minutes added time but we held firm and went into the break three up.
No changes for North End at the break as Coventry came out fired up for the second half after no doubt feeling the sting from Mark Robins half time team talk. To be fair North End saw off a few minutes of pressure with ease and then started to dictate the game once again. Woodman saved well on the hour mark but to be honest I just couldn't see the home side forcing any pressure on the North End defence in the second half. Riis ran clear in the inside left position but just couldn't conjure a goal bound effort. Woodman got down well at his near post to save an effort from the right but apart from that there was precious little for the home fans in a crowd of 24,500 to get excited about. North End saw the game out with ease using all five subs in the last fifteen minutes of normal time to ensure the 972 in the away end went home very happy indeed
Sometimes in life you have to hold up your hands and say that you got it wrong. The turn round since the defeat at Leeds has been awesome with four wins and two draws giving us fourteen points from a possible eighteen. Ryan Lowe has done incredibly well under the most severe pressure to keep this season alive and huge credit must go to the manager. Yes he said some things during the tough times that some fans will not forgive him for but football is about winning matches and the more wins we have the more the past becomes more grainy and forgiveness becomes easier. It might all turn to a compost heap next week and as North End fans we know only too well it is the hope that kills you. Let us all take one game at a time and reflect on the bigger picture even after a defeat, for who knows just where this team playing like this might take us. If the result and performance at Coventry is anything to go by there may well be an exciting ten weeks left of this season.
Good use of the Starjammers in this story. They have seldom been as interesting as this. And having Xavier and Cyclops in the mix is a nice bonus. The focus is mostly on Dane Whiteman however, and since he is one of my favourite characters, that focus is fine by me. The final 9 pages are where the action is. The rest is intelligent drama and build-up.

What I love about Chloé Zhao is that she accepts the good & the bad criticism about her movie. She doesn't point fingers or blame anyone, like other directors. I respect her for that. Even thought a lot of people are being unfair with her and the movie, she is the bigger person.
When other movies from big franchises flop, we always see directors blaming x, y and z. And Chloe Zhao is just like "oh you don't like it? thanks for watching ^^."
Actually she is busy reading drukkari on ao3, so she doesn't care.
bout to go watch Eternals again in theaters and slip back into my *drukkari, phastos, thena, gilgamesh, kingo, ajak, eros, dane whiteman hyperfixation* that I have yet to fixate out of since the first time I've seen it
RIGHT?! When I was doing some research on House Dayne, I came across that that info. If he could wield any blade from ASOIAF, Rat Rat would choose Dawn.
I just think it’s interesting we were robbed of having Jon Snow wield a meteor sword in GOT, but now Dane Whiteman aka the Black Knight gets to wield the Ebony Blade.
I love seeing Kit get the ending he should have, he deserves all the good things 🥰

kit is so adorable I watched a movie recently where he dies and I was BAWLING BESTIE I SWEAR
Three goals in the first half of this encounter were enough to secure all three points for North End despite a late comeback from Ipswich Town. Two goals from Will Keane and an own goal in between saw North End take an unlikely 3-0 lead into the break but they had to see off a spirited Tractor Boys comeback in the second half led by Kieffer Moore. Two goals in the last fifteen minutes had North End biting at the fingernails but the boys held on to record a notable win against one of the best teams in the section. I thought we played some really good stuff at times, we closed down well, we took our chances and we just did enough defensively to show the division that we still hold a small outside chance of reaching those play offs. Seven points from the last four league games has seen us hold our position in the table and secure a couple of decent wins at home in the process.
Ryan Lowe made just one change to the side that drew at Millwall last Saturday with Captain Alan Browne coming back into the side at the expense of Ryan Ledson. North End started well and with Ipswich playing the ball out from the back on every occasion you just thought that there may be opportunities somewhere in the game. It took North End just five minutes to take the lead when Will Keane opted to shoot instead of squaring the ball and his shot was deflected off Edmondson into the net. Three minutes later and North End had their second goal when Keane turned provider to put Riis clear on goal. Just as the Dane was about to shoot poor old Edmondson managed to get a foot on the ball but only succeeded in poking past the keeper and into the net. It was all North End and Miller had a shot deflected wide from a good position. Six minutes from the break North End were three up when Ipswich tried to play the ball out and under pressure the ball dropped at the feet of Keane who made no mistake in giving North End a very unlikely 3-0 lead at the break.
No changes for North End after the break as the visitors came out with much more purpose determined to get back into the game. Moore was introduced at the start of the second half and almost immediately hit the post with a shot. Although the visitors were on top they were not creating a huge amount of chances and North End were always looking dangerous on the break. Woodman made a couple of good saves but with fifteen minutes to go the visitors pulled one back when Moore headed home from close range. North End decided to declare at this point, however things got a little more twitchy when Moore pulled a second back with three minutes of normal time remaining. North End saw it out and the additional five added minutes to record a good win against a very good side in front of 17,313 at Deepdale.
So another ray of sunshine in what has been a gloomy few months at Deepdale and while the win itself was a bonus the atmosphere at Deepdale is nowhere near what it should be for games like this. Many are still openly angry with the manager and some with the board regarding the goings on over an extended period this season. Ryan Lowe talked about "getting the love back" with the fans and the club but the only way he can do this is on the field itself with improved results. I wish the manager would be a little more reserved in his observations to the press and let the results on the pitch do all of the talking for him. Don`t get me wrong I think it was a good win against the Tractor Boys and it was the right team selection but if the manager wants to get the love back then there is a long, long way to go at the moment.

Star Wars 9 New footage: Darth Vader’s Breath Heard
Yesterday, at the Disney D23 Expo, a Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker sizzle reel screened for a few lucky fans and press. Beside the general commemoration of the series, new footage featured Rey looking very Dark Sidey with a red double-edged lightsaber like Darth Maul. But what was even more shocking was Palpatine’s voiceover, which said: “Now your journey nears its end.” According…
A debut goal for Cameron Archer following Emil Riis’ first-half opener gave Preston North End a deserved victory over West Bromwich Albion.
Riis gave his side the lead just before the half-time break, with a deflected Greg Cunningham cross being tapped over the line by Riis for his 14th goal of the season in all competitions.
Archer then came off the bench for his first appearance for the club since arriving on loan from Aston Villa and sealed the three points for his new side.
PNE made three changes to the starting XI, with Andrew Hughes, Brad Potts and Ryan Ledson all coming into the side, with Archer being named as a substitute.
North End saw a lot of the ball in the early stages and could have had the lead within three minutes, with Andrew Hughes heading inches wide from Ben Whiteman’s cross.
The visitors had a penalty shout 15 minutes later, as a clever pass from Ledson found Riis in the box and he went down under the challenge of Cedric Kipre, but the referee waved away the appeals.
Riis was involved again just after the half-hour mark, being played into the area by Alan Browne, although he couldn’t quite find the target with his powerful effort.
West Brom’s first real chance of note came soon after, with Adam Reach pulling the ball back for Alex Mowatt, who blazed over the bar under pressure from Ledson.
North End made their first-half dominance count four minutes from the break, as Whiteman’s deft touch found Cunningham, who in turn sent a dangerous cross into the area, which a defender deflected goalwards and Riis just got a touch to help it over the line.
The Dane was replaced by Archer for his debut on 65 minutes and just over ten minutes later, the 20-year-old was on the scoresheet, heading home after Cunningham’s shot was saved.
