‘No’ Star Keke Palmer Talks Handling Rejection and Being Consistent
Keke Palmer is well known in the Twitter verse for being “reserved and busy”, establishing herself as an actress, host, comedian and musician at just 28 years old. But that wasn’t always the case, Palmer revealed in a recent interview with Glamor magazine.
Nearly 20 years ago, the Illinois native made her first acting debut in Ice Cube’s “Barbershop 2: Back in Business,” playing Queen Latifah’s…
Queen Latifah (Dana Owens) joined Newark Mayor Ras Baraka Tuesday at a groundbreaking ceremony for a new mixed-used project she is partnering with local developers to build in the city’s South Ward.
I know it probably seems really fucking stupid because I'm 23, I'm a full grown adult, but cartoons are my special interest and I hate when studios act like cartoons especially are nothing and keep stupid live action shows that make no sense(Riverdale). I'm still mad about warner brothers purge of cartoons from hbo max last year and I will never get over Disney canceling the owl house just to see how popular it is now and be like "oh maybe that wasn't a good idea" and now Netflix canceling inside job. Also, maybe coincidentally, maybe not, but all of the shows being canceled/ purged are shows LOVED by neurodivergent people who can relate to the main characters because the main characters are also coded as ND
The animation industry has been so fucked over these past couple years (the cancellation of The Owl House, Infinity Train, the HBOmax animation purge, just to name a few)
This seems to be the last straw for a lot of people, and it certainly is for me. Inside Job was one of Netflix’s top shows (not just top out of the animated stuff on Netflix, one of the top shows overall). It was renewed for a second season due to this popularity, so there should have been no reason to unrenew the show now.
Petitions haven’t worked in the past, I get it. I was one of those people who petitioned for months to get Infinity Train back up and running, to no avail. I get it, this sucks, and there’s very little we can do about it.
That said, please try and spread the news about this petition, or any other petitions you see. While there is very little hope for the show right now, there will be no hope at all unless we try to do something about it now. We need to make our voices heard.
So I say again one more time, please take a few seconds out of your day to sign the petition, and if you are able to, please share and reblog it as well. Spread awareness. Maybe we’ll be able to accomplish something. We’ll never know if we don’t try.
(Sorry for any spelling, grammar, or drawing mistakes)
I made some more art for my Huntlow adopts Hazel idea. Link to original post here.
For some context for this drawing, I don't think Hunter would be the biggest fan of Amelia, mostly due to her treatment of Hazel. So this drawing is supposed to be when Hunter snaps and calls Amelia out.
moments in “one breath” that took my breath away or made me CRY:
[HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD]
the story of little girl Scully crying about the snake she’d killed (just a little bit, I wasn’t fully crying that early in the episode lol)
Mulder going absolutely BALLISTIC in the hospital trying to find out who had done this to her
the moment when in Scully’s vision, the rope tethering her boat to the dock pulls and snaps (really, I think the boat and dock made a beautiful metaphor)
when Scully’s dad appears to her in a vision and says the when he realized he would never see her again his life felt like it had been the length of one breath and he never knew how much he loved her until he could never tell her and and he’ll see her again soon BUT NOT JUST YET (fully crying by this point)
Mulder trying to resign from the FBI (because without Scully… what’s he waiting around there for?)
Skinner’s story of his near-death and telling Mulder his resignation was unacceptable, and especially Mulder’s realization that it was Skinner who gave him the address for the Cigarette Smoking Man (another moment where I really cried)
the scene with Mulder at her bedside! “I feel, Scully, that you believe you’re not ready to go. And you’ve always had the strength of your beliefs, Scully. And I think you believe you’re not ready to go. I don’t know if my being here will help bring you back. But I’m here.” (yes, I know I just quoted the entire scene :P)
the fact that Mulder passed on the only chance to find answers about what happened to Scully and let his apartment get trashed because he needed to see her (and then cried when he got home, and broke my heart)
Scully’s: “Not Fox — Mulder.” and then later: “Mulder, I had the strength of your beliefs.”
