Ik we said that in Black Moth, Bruno would be leaving like in canon and all but... but if I may suggest... I really like the idea of him staying and Mirabel sorta becoming part of his family specifically, under his branch in the family rather than Julieta's, even though they are both her parents. It's not a sudden change and no one decides that's what had to happen, but she found Bruno's refuge in the walls one day, and now they kinda hang out there whenever Alma is mad. At some point, she may get into her head the idea that her mother would be better off without her. She already feels excluded by her half sisters - particularly by Isabela, and when they refer to Agustín as "my dad" instead of "dad", she comes to understand she can't be part of his family either. It's not that she severs her relationship with Julieta entirely - she loves her, but she becomes distant with time, and since she's so much like Bruno and Bruno was pretty much forced to stay out of a responsability towards his daughter and sister, she ends up gravitating towards him. She feels like her mother wouldn't understand some things, or that her advice always leans a bit too much on putting on a smile and trying to appease her grandmother, while Bruno is more like... "oh I hate myself too, kid, cheers to that". At some point, Julieta starts finding it harder and harder to connect with Mirabel, and she kinda stops trying to force her. It breaks her heart, but her baby barely spends any time with her or her family. However, she seems to be right at home with her dad.

But she's not Bruno's daughter in a depressing sort of way - in fact, there IS a sudden decision to be made, and it's when Mira is still 5, not even a year after her failed ceremony, when Bruno realizes shit's fucked, the situation is bad, this is his daughter and she's alone. Now, he never planned to have a daughter, but now he has one, it looks like she's gonna suffer just as much as him, and she suddenly doesn't have a dad in Agustín anymore. She's gonna need one. So he stops wallowing in self-loathing and sadness and decides he's going to be an actual dad. He crafts her toys, plays with her, teaches her to read and write, gets her an accordion when she shows an interest in music, defends her from Alma whenever he can, talks to her classmates' parents when the kids are mean to her, makes himself clean and presentable because he wants to be a good example, gets out of the walls and decides to somehow turn his room into an actual liveable place so she van visit whenever she wants... his participation in her life is a great source if comfort, and they actually end up becoming best friends. They're silly, weird and artsy together. He respects her opinion and trusts her judgment, and she knows she always has a responsible adult to rely on whenever she needs help. They also have a surprising amount of fun together, coming up with stories and handicrafts and music. He calls him Papá. Pa for short. She wears a green shawl around her shoulders, or a green scarf tying her hair, or green skirts. She learns how to raise rats. Everyone in town still believes she's Agustín's daughter, but they know she's more Bruno's that she's his. They don't know she's his daughter, but she's clearly his kid. She becomes optimistic again. He becomes a happy man. His love for her inspired him to love himself.

in general i like julieta and agustin being mirabel’s parents just fine since they are good parents but honestly if i have to read an au about mirabel being pepa or bruno’s, i’d rather have her be bruno’s at this point

OH OBSESSED WITH THE GIORNO HIGASHIKATA AU…….. would part five go differently in any way? Is Giornos relationship with the part five characters different or mostly the same?

ok so. part 5 would generally go the same way, though probably an everyone lives au bc a) giorno would be more experienced in stand fights b) i imagine he would reveal his identity post-part 5 and not during but i want to include a reveal scene w everyone and c) i like everybody in part 5 let them live

i think he'd have more involvement in fights. like maybe being involved in the grateful dead/beach boys fight if only for the joke of "wow giorno we sure are lucky you have a low body temperature" "haha yeah" <- guy who knows he's half vampire

anyway, yeah the relationships are p much the same as well. maybe giorno is a little more sociable or whatever. he'd be comfortable w mista and narancia off the bat bc they're very similar to josuke and okuyasu. fugo too since both josuke and tomoko have anger issues in canon, so giorno probably wouldn't even blink. and im a giotrish friendship truther so they'd probably talk about their shitty dads

im gonna put bruno + abbacchio under a read more since im going to be talking about kira and angelo and like. u remember how those guys are

since giorno helped take down not one but two serial killers with uh. sexual motivations to their crimes i think he internalizes that a bit. and with the bruno licking scene and abbacchio's tea i think he'd be a lot more reticent to trust them. still willing to work with them, but theyre not "friends" for awhile

I'm finding surprising the popularity of 'Bruno is Mirabel's papa AU'

It's actually makes his actions way less sympathetic. Leaving your niece who has her parents is one thing. Leave your daughter all alone after probably the most traumatic experience in her life is another. Especially considering that most of 'Papa Bruno' AUs have Bruno as a single parent. So he just leaves her as an orphan. And five years old is enough to know that your tíos aren't your parents. Just what would Mirabel think if her dad dissapeared after she didn't get a gift?

Oh. My. Gosh. Can we get more of the Body Swap AU? I gotta know who else is swapped. My guess so far, Mirabel is Antonio and Julieta is Alma because I like the idea of everyone swapping and we all know Alma likes to pretend everything is fine so obviously she'd pretend to be whoever she body swapped with. A fun idea would be if everyone was swapped based on their favorite person, Luisa's favorite is Mirabel, Mirabel's favorite is Antonio, and Alma favoring Julieta isn't surprising at all. In that case, Pepa and Julieta would be their husbands, Bruno would be Pepa (wedding fiasco aside I like to think they are quite close due to both having less than ideal gifts), Agustin would be Luisa, Felix would be Dolores, Isabela would be Alma, Dolores would be Isabela, Camilo would be Bruno, and Antonio would be Camilo. Oh the chaos that would ensue, imagine, Dolores finally getting out of Isabela's shadow by getting to BE Isabela, and poor Mariano would be so confused why his ex that admitted she never loved him is now giving him goo goo eyes, Felix deciding to be an overprotective dad and testing Mariano by doing weird things as Dolores to see if he'll still love her, Isabela getting shoved into the leader position and trying to maintain her sanity and keep the town from falling apart, Camilo being the most dramatic creepy prophet he can be while Bruno cringes in the background with a cloud over his head, poor Agustin being ten times as clumsy due to his new size, Mirabel relishing in the fact that she has a gift and absolutely using Antonio's cuteness to her advantage, Pepa finally being free to express her emotions without her gift, her and Julieta taking turns staring at the mirror because dang are their husbands good looking, Alma taking over Julieta's job as healer and experiencing first hand all the work her daughter does and all the stupid and minor injuries people go to her stand for. The possibilities are endless.

Yes, everyone (minus the husbands as they aren’t linked to the miracle) is swapped but I’m afraid your guesses are mostly wrong. But the favourite idea is fairly right.

Luisa obviously being Mirabel, both favourite sister and person in the family.

Mirabel woke up as Dolores (her favourite cousin), in bed with Mariano, and as you can imagine, completely freaked out. Probably burst her eardrums. So that’s what she’s been to up to while Luisa does whatever she’s doing.

Bruno is Antonio (his favourite of the nieces and nephews). He was very spooked. He had his suspicions, but Luisa showing up confirmed that something had definitely happened, seeing how she clearly wasn’t Mirabel and addressed him as Antonio.

Alma is Bruno (her favourite child) and is going to have a day in his shoes. She’s going to throw hands with some rude townspeople later who still treat Bruno like a bad person.

Dolores is Julieta (her favourite of the aunt/uncles), who has realised but because of her love for being right, is just going along with it. Can’t risk being wrong. She also woke from the sound of “Antonio” crying.

Camilo is Pepa (his favourite person). He initially thinks this will be breeze and isn’t as worried/scared as the others, but slowly comes to the realisation that his mother isn’t treated with the same respect he gives her by everyone else.

Isabela, plot twist, is Luisa. She’s a little embarrassed by it and claims she is only Luisa because Luisa got to be Mirabel. In actuality, she’s very pleased. Think of all the chaos she could cause—

Pepa is Isabela (her favourite niece). She will also be throwing hands later at rude-ass men who can’t accept the fact that Isabela is a lesbian.

Antonio is Camilo (his favourite sibling and babysitter). You did get that one right! He doesn’t really have much angst going on, he just has a fun day as his older brother and enjoys getting to be grown up for a bit.

And lastly, Julieta is Alma. She does try to pretend that everything is fine. She proves to not be the best matriarch, she does more mothering of the council than actually leading the town.

You know how Spider! Mirabel is all happy and hunky dory like 1610 Miles is? Happy, naive, trusting, etc. But Miles prowler variant isn't? Depressed, tired, cold, not a villain but not a hero either, etc.

I introduce to you, Venom! Mirabel: (sad angst ahead)

So, let's just say Venom! Mirabel got her symbiote when she was only eleven. Julieta worked for Alchemax and therefore could bring Mirabel whenever she wanted to if she couldn't find a babysitter.

A symbiote was being tested on and researched over most of the times little Mirabel was just around. One day a fire caused most of the Alchemax to explode, the symbiote got out, and out of an act of kindness, it protected her from being burned.

A little thought I had was that the symbiote liked Julieta, she was gentler with it and talked to it kindlier than the other scientists did. Sometimes the symbiote was able to see a few glimpses of Mirabel and once, was able to see her up close behind glass.

Alma, Pepa, Felix, Agustin, worked there to. Just in different districts. Her daughters decided to follow in her footsteps and therefore met Agustin and Felix there.

So, before the building could fully engulf in flames, the symbiote broke out of glass and protected her from the fire. The five adult madrigals, however, didn't make it.

Mirabel was found in rubble by some firefighters and taken back home. Bruno was surely devastated, as well as the other grandchildren. Antonio was only three months old when it happened, so he didn't really have that much time to bond with his parents, tios, or abuela.

Bruno, who was thankfully left with Alma's inheritance, was able to care for the grandchildren the best he could.

Even though they were fairly high class in wealth, Alma always thought it would be best for her children to live in middle class neighborhoods. She thought that because she came from a typically rich family, and she couldn't stand how uptight and entitled everyone was.

She met Pedro in a simple diner in a Brooklyn neighborhood she was told to never go to. The rest is already known, except Pedro died from a home invasion.

Even through that trauma, she still preferred to live in a simple neighborhood. The people there weren't fake, mean, but at least they were truthful. No one had an image to uphold or someone to impress, they were just people trying to earn a living. (Plus, she wanted the triplets to live next to Pedro's parents)

Her parents cut her off but thankfully she was already working as a scientist at Alchemax. She wanted her children to learn the value of just living life, not valuing money, so she raised them how a typical middle-class mom would (or at least tried to)

So, Bruno and the grandkids live in a big apartment in Brooklyn. The older girls are in college, Mirabel and Camilo go to Brooklyn Visions Academy, and Antonio goes to a good kindergarten school.

Mirabel and Camilo were friends with Miles 42 since second/third grade, thankfully they ended up in the same prestige school so they could stick together.

When Miles 42's dad died, they were able to bond on grief and become a little closer as friends. But that didn't mean they were happy, not at all.

Mirabel still misses her parents and other family members every day and cries herself to sleep most nights. The only people that know of the symbiote attached to Mira are Miles 42 and Uncle Aaron.

She saw them going around places and stealing medicine, and she wanted to help. She instantly figured out it was them; she could recognize Miles' braids and Aaron's behavior easily.

She offered to help or more like "I'm helping you and you can't say no to me"

She introduced her symbiote buddy to them, it freaked them out, they got over it, and now she helps with missions when she can.

She often calls Uncle Aaron "Tio Aaron" and Rio "Mama Rio". Same for the other grandkids. And when you think about it, Rio and Aaron are the only parental figures they have in their life. Bruno is their third figure, but he's still at a loving uncle distance.

She's a year older than Miles here (like how Spider! Mirabel is with 1610 miles), so she calls him "Hermanito" a lot, much to his distaste. She's also a few inches taller than him so she uses his shoulders as an arm rest often. Sibling tings.

I feel like Mirabel has more of an alt aesthetic, just to match 42 Miles a little bit. Blacks, Blues, and whites are usually her color scheme.

So, let's just say Spider! Mirabel, Spider! Antonio, and 1610! Miles end up in Earth 42. They were all being chased by a bunch of spider people (fighting for they life), told they were nothing but anomalies, far from home, and ended up in a foreign world.

All three of them were tired and exhausted (physically and emotionally) by the time they got to Miles' "home". Mirabel and Antonio stayed on top of the roof to keep an eye out for Miguel or anyone who looked like a problem.

Mirabel got knocked tf out by her variant and Antonio...boy just passed out from exhaustion and shock. Miles gets knocked tf out too and all of them get tied up to a punching bag. Both Mira and Miles staring their variants in the eye.

Other V! Mira facts

V!Mirabel has eyebags, always low lid eyes, some scars along her face and body, and lighter brown eyes.

She's a heavy eater, more so than Camilo, because she is literally eating for herself AND an alien.

Has the weirdest food combination, because again, there's an alien attached to her with the weirdest food cravings.

Loves to code and make a few gadgets here and there.

Instead of the accordion, she likes to play with an APC and make beats from time to time.

BVA's top student, as well as Miles and Milo.

She still embroiders and sings, but she boxes too. Miles is usually her boxing buddy.

Mira stopped doing ballet at eleven, she just lost motivation after most of her family died. She continues to do gymnastics but only to make her fight better in combat.

She is a smart a$$ if you've ever seen one, give her the chance and she will get smart with you. Dolores had to hit her with a wooden spoon once or twice to make her tone it down. (And trust me, Dolores keeps that spoon locked and loaded just in case anyone wants to get smart, as well as a chancla).

Makes sweaters and some baked deserts for Rio, Aaron, and Miles. It's her way of showing affection because, unlike spider! Mira, she doesn't like being touched that much.

Likes teaching Antonio how to code and make some tiny robots here and there.

The symbiotes name is Mariposa, name given by Mirabel of course.

Whenever Rio gives attention to anyone other than her or Miles, she gets a little jealous.

But she is MAJORLY jealous of spider! Mirabel having her whole family intact and happy. So, she has a little resentment toward her. Can you blame her?

Very observant of everything, even small details. That's how she easily noticed who Aaron and Miles were when they were flying across the sky. And in her eyes, they weren't hiding their identities very well to begin with.

Rio, Bruno, and the other grandkids think something romantic is going on between her and 42 miles and they are just like..."no". But they do find it funny.

Mira does NOT eat people, if Mariposa is that hungry Mariposa will just remove itself from Mirabel and go after whoever was a threat at the moment. Then it will become with Mira again, but under no circumstances will it eat someone while fused with Mirabel. The creature already knows the girl is traumatized it doesn't want to traumatize her more.

Also, if Mirabel smells anything related to fire smoke, she'll get extremely nervous. If there's a fire nearby, she'll try to help get people out but she's gonna be having flashbacks of what happened to her all through it.

afterwards she's just gonna break down crying. Oh yeah, she hates crying, so when she's doing it, she tries her best to stop.

• We all know that Canon!Luz is a Eccentric and geeky person who loves fantasy and adventure, but what if she wasn't exactly the person people thought she was, what if she completely snapped due to all the bullying and abuse she went through when she was younger and became a sadistic and blood thirsty psychopath.

• Everyone is human, including King.

• Takes place in Gravesfield which has a high crime rate due to gang violence, addicts, serial killers, etc. Also Gravesfield is a lot more larger than it's canon counterpart.

• There are a total of four gangs within Gravesfield; The Fallen Angels MC (Bikers), The Alley Cats (Punks), The Aryan Sons (White Supremacists), The Innocentz (Satanists).

• Before Luz, there were other serial killers that terrorized Gravesfield in the past.

• Camila was an abusive parent even before Manny passed away and was very discriminative twords Luz "For not being normal". So due to this Luz was with her dad most of her life.

• Luz was around ten years old when she got adopted and achieved her first kill.

• King has been adopted by Eda and Raine ever since he was a baby. They found him abandoned in a cardboard box within an empty alley.

• Eda has heterochromia, a prosthetic arm, and Epilepsy in which she calls her "Curse". Oh, and also a bit of PTSD.

• Eda owns a pawn shop called "The Owl's Nest" and Raine is a music teacher at Gravesfield High.

• Lilith works for the Gravesfield Police Department as a detective.

• Lilith adopted both Vee and Hunter when they were around five and six years old. She adopted Hunter after a case regarding child abuse and then Vee after busting a Child Abduction & Slavery operation.
