This image of Linda feels so symbolic, all the firearms that we see her playing around with earlier being aimed at her head? Like the very thing she weaponized was turned against her (her passions winning her the contest but costing Linda her life)

The guns all being pink, Nibbly’s color? The very entity this contest is for and the thing that ultimately kills Linda?

It’s just so clever

I wonder if Crowley and Aziraphale were more worried about the miracle blocker, or if they were more worried about what it implies. Miracles blocked -> someone is blocking them -> someone is watching, even if they don’t see Furfur in the crowd.

With the miracle blocker active, Crowley can’t rely on having perfect aim. But also: where should he be aiming? Sure, discorporation is inconvenient (and would be distressing for the humans), but the math on that changes if you both know you’re being watched.

If that’s what they were thinking about, then Aziraphale’s “trust me” meant “trust me to sell the trick”. Otherwise, it would have been obvious that Crowley was missing on purpose, and it would have been safer for both of them if he’d aimed to hit.

you know the ha ha funny joke tui made about Mastermind doing calculus?? in guide to the dragon world? calculus was only invented in the late 1600s, which would be:

a) solidly in the renaissance (aka not medieval, as we've been led to belive), which does line up with a lot of their technology and social state better than the middle ages.

b) after guns were invented. like after guns as we think of them today are invented. considering dragons are a warfaring species, they would have 100% invented that by now. They could've even been made of metal and readily available, too.

(also even if this isn't a renaissance, a sort of mini-renaissance clearly just happened or is about to happen. like they have doctors who don't kill you more and at least one scientist.)

i simultaneously Rlly wanted to draw mirrors/reflections, but i also Rlly Did Not Want to draw reflections, so have some modern xuexiao, ft. vampire!xy being a thorsty boi so i could get the best of both worlds 🧛
