It's such a different experience to play your tav with a sort of head-cannony backstory. I found this pose in Mellon_Soup's references on their Patreon and immediately this idea came to mind.

Astarion seems like he would be a shockingly good (if not somewhat abrasive) wingman. Think of all the times he's met people he would have liked to romance, but can't actually engage with. I imagine even as he's healing from the trauma, he takes vicarious enjoyment in helping with little things.

Now listen, he would never dream of telling you this. It would ruin his whole aloof, haughty thing he has going on, but he always seems immediately available when you're in dire need.

Like this is how I imaging it going with him and Elianna

"Darling, did my pointy ears deceive me or are you set to sneak away with a certain explosive wizard this evening?"

"Hah--y-yeah. I think that's the plan, anyway. He said he wanted to teach me something."

"Eugh I don't know how you stand spending so much time with such an insufferable know it all. Most men bring wine and chocolates to the girl their attempting to woo--Gale brings a mirror with which to show your how dull and inadequate you are compared to him...." and then after the briefest pause... "Questionable taste aside, darling. What are you going to wear? It isn't that is it?"
