Day 33/45 (08.02.2024)
-I studied (with proper focus) for 11 hours today. The lack of time is hitting me 'now'
-I also made a bread dough again i Made pasta as well. And somehow even managed to make japanese curry for lunch too?
-how did I manage all that I am confused too. (sorcery)
-I also had a visit from the red devil today but at least there are no cramps (I just know it'll kill me tomorrow) (I am tired of this monthly subscription of Lucifer’s bloodbath)
-I finished just a few minutes before 4 am. It was a satisfying day. And night.
-I gave up trying to wake up early and sleep early. Because that's not working and it's just a waste of time. When I don't have to study, it'll be fine. But I focus better at night so no point wasting the time. Night Owlishness it is!!

I’ve made progress on MITM, with echoes in my heart, and a little bit on artificial survivor tonight, and I’m very pleased with myself
MITM 21 and 22 are scheduled to go out May 16th and June 6th respectively, keeping the ‘every three weeks’ release schedule for 20-22 since I wrote them as a block. 23 has 6 scenes done ish, with 2 left, and 24 has 5 scenes done-ish and 3 left, (i think) so I think, if the creek don’t rise, I should be ready to publish 23 3 weeks after 22, on June 27th, and have 24 ready for the 4 year anniversary on July 16th. Keep your fingers crossed, but something resembling a regular update schedule might? be possible? for a little bit.
#i still have no idea when the second and final parts of with echoes and artificial survivor will be done though#i am mostly just *screaming* looking at my dissertation/jmp to do list#but writing a bit in the evenings when i can does help cheer me up most of the time#mitm#squire talks#and after chapter 24 there's only two chapters of mitm left#so im. *screaming internally*. yeah.#we'll get there when we get there.#i made curry and muffins today. these are also things that help keep me from screaming too much about academia

Summary: Both you and Kaveh have a tendency to overwork yourselves. So, one night while you're busy at work, he approaches you...
(Sorry I've been gone so long, school and work have been kicking my ass, i havent even gotten to play 4.1 yet)
It was nights like this you were glad the Academia’s library was open all night and day. Papers and scrolls were spread over one of the tables of the back as you scribbled down notes, concepts and theories. It must’ve been hours since you moved, except for the occasional retrieval of another book to add on to your bibliography.
Your hair was a mess and the bags under your eyes made it seem like you hadn’t slept in weeks but this assignment was one of the most important in your career. Your critical eyes focused on the pages but your stomach felt hollow, making it harder and harder to anchor yourself to the words.
The sound of the doors opening could be heard all the way from the back but you paid it no mind, one of the other people here decided to turn in for the night. That was until the familiar silhouette of a blonde loomed over your notes and cleared his throat. “Yes, Kaveh,” you spoke coldly, no warmth left after the ridiculously long hours you had already spent in this tomb of knowledge.
“I know you have a deadline but you should get some rest, (Y/N),” he spoke adamently, the pose of his shadow shifting to put a hand on his hip.
“Funny,” you sarcastically spout, looking up to him with a sly smile and your chin on your hand, “I didn’t know you came from a place to judge.”
The man timidly looked away, stammering, “no, no I am not. That’s why I brought you this.” Lifting his other arm, he showed a small bag that smelled of curry. You smiled, moving stuff out of the way before opening the bag and pulling out one of the two small containers.
“Chai or coffee,” he asked, pointing in the direction of the small drink bar the students recommended the Academia add when Azar was dethroned from Grand Sage and Nahida took back her power.
“Chai,” you smile, watching the man walk over and fill two mugs and bringing them back over. Looking at the cups and containers of curry, you raised a brow as Kaveh pulled a chair close, “you’re staying?”
The young man nodded. “I know better than to try and pull you away from your work,” he relented, pulling out several sketches and drafting supplies as he sat opposite of you. Your eyes sat on them for a brief second; Kaveh’s detailed notes and several eraser marks were caught in your careful eye.
Gingerly setting them aside as to not stain the pristine pages of parchment, your attention was brought back to the man in front of you. Opening the containers caused the brilliant smell of Kaveh’s cooking to hit your nose and make your stomach growl like a starving tiger coming in for the kill.
Sliding the cup into your hand, fingers gently grazing and making both of you turn slightly pink. Clearing his throat, he stutters, “Besides, if you can’t beat them-”
“Join them,” you finish with a soft smile on your face. Lifting your mug, Kaveh follows suit as the two cups tap in a satisfying ‘Klink’.

Izuku smiles back at Katsuki, admiring the look of quiet happiness there. Although Katsuki mostly utilizes his face for various expressions of irritation or battlelust, Izuku finds gentle contentment suits the blond just as well. “Of course, Kacchan. Anything for you.”

Plot Summary: You got a new phone once you moved to Musutafu city after opening a bookstore. Your mother encouraged you to move, told you it would be good for you. After accidentally texting the wrong number, you strike up a conversation with the man who tells you exactly what onion belongs in your curry. You never exchange names, liking the anonymity of it all. As you navigate a new city, Bakugou navigates anger management classes and therapy along with hero work.
Excerpt: Katsuki turns away from you, nearly toppling a bookcase in the process and he can hear you hold back laughter. He feels heat rise to his face, reaching the tips of his ears. He goes to the back of the shop, where you said the books would be and he can’t even focus. Just rests two hands along the wood of the bookshelf and takes a few deep breaths. People don’t get under his skin. Not The Hero Commission, not Shigaraki when Katsuki was 16 and kidnapped. Not his manager who yells at him with empty threats. He looks death in the eyes every day and greets it with a smile.
But you, with your quick tongue and pretty skin; with your sharp gaze that can bring him to his knees, you make him feel small. Make his heart feel so weird in his chest and he doesn’t like it. Doesn’t like the way he feels like butterflies are floating in his sternum. Doesn’t like the way he feels like his stomach is tied in knots and the way he swears there’s something awful clawing in his heart; mean and red and bleeding.
Nauseating, he thinks.

Three concerning trends emerged in their strategies, which included facilitating comebacks for long-discredited climate deniers, cheering on violence against climate activists, and attributing deadly climate-driven events to conspiracies or religious calamity.

Discredited climate deniers like Judith Curry, Patrick Moore, Anthony Watts, and Gregory Wrightstone, who have been vocal for decades, received renewed attention in 2023 from right-wing media figures, who seemed to be turning to views that stray further and further from established science.
Judith Curry, former chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech, consulted for oil and gas companies during her time in academia. She resigned from Georgia Tech in 2017 citing climate “craziness” and has been called out by other climate scientists for taking public positions reliant on debunked climate change denial arguments.

Bracket(??) Announcement!
I have FINALLY (which I am very sorry for guys) finished going through my submissions and have created something that looks like a bracket. BUT, in order to include the most characters, I have devised a group round with 128 characters divided into 8 groups and have sorted them in a way that prevents this competition from becoming a batman vs spider-man final.
making the polls shouldn't take nearly as long so be on the lookout for those! this will be pinned and I'll make sure to edit this post with links to the polls, and matchups are not necessarily going to be heroes next to each other! matches can be made up by any two heroes in the same group

Favorite color: Red and black.
Song stuck in my head: Unshaken from the Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack. No, I'm not crying about the ending. Not at all.
Last song I listened to: Oh my Lovely from the Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack.
Three favorite foods: Coffee (it is a food group in my mind. A really addictive one), all kinds of vegetable pottage/stew (there is not a one to one translation of the concept, but the "thick soup" is really close), crepes (fun thing to do is to add additional seasoning to the batter, if you are making sweet crepes, I think cinnamon is an excellent addition, for savory crepes, a tiny bit of basil or curry powder can do a lot. It all depends on your filling of choice and your own taste)
Last thing I googled: I googled the definition of pottage. The last fic-related thing was the price of coffee beans in 1910s.
Dream trip: New Zealand or Australia, maybe? And Malta!
Anything I want right now: Get my PhD and be done with the whole academia.

I'm just gonna share some of my ocs' favorite foods. Just because I'm feeling a little bored.
Black Clover
-Josele: lemon baked salmon
-Helia: slow cooked pork ribs and veggies
-Selen: trail mix with lots of dried fruit
-Lorelei: baked lobster tail and pasta with white sauce
-Lexi: half-baked mixed berry muffins

-Shizuka: breakfast platter (there's lots of variation but her ideal breakfast consists of steamed rice, miso soup, sweet tamagoyaki, spinach with sesame dressing, pickled vegetables, and grilled mackerel)

-Ayami: steamed potatoes with butter
-Masatsugu: pork soup with extra daikon
-Norifumi: egg fried rice

So what’s gaming pastas favorite food, aesthetic fashion style be like?
Now before I answer I wanna get a few things clear:
I don't know much about fashion or aesthetics, I will use what I know to explain as well as what I believe fits the most-
I will not do every Gamingpasta, because otherwise I may lose my mind, I'll just use the “Big 8” for now.
I don't want these to overshadow what this blog is for, aka my self-indulgent need to show my creations due to my ships and AUs. But obviously this doesn't mean I dislike answering Gamingpastas related questions or ramble about my made up “lore” or headcanons. Just be aware that this blog is for many things, mainly self-indulgence. It's more I don't want you to get disappointed due to believing this blog is promising smth different.
Okay, enough of that, let's go ahead.
Ben: Honestly, given his years long imprisonment and abuse, the act of someone making food for him, especially sweets or something warm mean more to him than a favorite food in general. Tho if he had to pinpoint, prolly like doughnuts, pudding and chocolate. He also used to be weary of meat dishes when he still lived in the mansion due to EJ and Liu mainly looking after him, even though EJ of course never fed them human meat.
His fashion style is honestly whatever he wants to wear, casual, emo, crazy 90s, even crossdressing. In fact he has a whole closet with clothes he wanted to get cause he simply liked them but never wears, he prefers stealing from Silver or alike lol. But if he had a specific style I guess Scene fits him quite well. The mix of punk or emo with many colours like the 90s, just noice.
Silver: I headcanon him to be a pescatarian , aka he doesn't eat meat, but still eats fish. He likes nearly everything that warms one up or is well cooked, as he enjoys cooking himself (Don't ask why I have that hc I just do). A food coming to his mind quickly is muffins or ramen. He also loves hot drinks, like coco, tea or coffee.
He prolly prefers baggy, comfortable casual clothing, not really a whole aesthetic, tho I can see him pull of most alternative styles.
Steven: He likes to share, as he's what most would call a bro or buddy type. Some also like calling him the mom friend despite not seeming like it at first. So he is basic and likes pizza, nearly all variants.
I guess his style is similar to Silver, though he doesn't mind if the casual clothes aren't as baggy, big, comfortable. He also likes them being a tad more sporty, in order to walk and move around better.
Glitchy: Glitchy is full vegetarian. There isn't really much to add here, he does like curry. Especially those formed to look like Pikachu.
His style is pretty similar to Steven, tho he can prolly pull of like academia vibe if he were to feel like it, but prefers more casual or sporty clothing, once again to move around better.
Sonic.Exe: I'll be easy and basic. He likes hot dogs, especially chili dogs and very sporty clothing.
Tails Doll: Doll never bothered much with interests, due to insecurities as he is a doll and was abandoned. But he is often seen drinking like tea and coffee. Perhaps someday he'll allow himself to fully try out life and try things to find a favourite food.
As for clothing, I think whatever fits best at the moment, tho he is very interested in steampunk. Lots of gears, perfect for mechanics, suits and like to still look fancy, nice fall colours, it seems made for him.
Dark: Don't tell anyone, but Dark secretly really likes candy, especially the Japanese star candy. He used to often bring it to Ben and would eat some by pretending to only do it, so Ben won't eat all as that's unhealthy for a growing boy. He also likes most meat dishes.
Fashion style is definitely goth. Black always, lol. Except for the rainbow friendship bracelets Ben gave him.
Brine: Also pretty basic, he likes meat dishes, mainly steak and very casual clothing. Never really cared to find out his style of choice.

Idk who can relate but I have this compelling recurring fantasy of being a student at one of the Imperial Universities in the Taisho period.
I'm from a noble background, as brilliant and confident as I am debauched and morally empty, but in a very romantic and aesthetically pleasing way. Times are good, and I entertain myself with thoughts of helping to build a glorious modern Japan, while seeing no contradiction between this and seeing my less fortunate fellow citizens and as largely existing to serve me. For now I may be relatively innocent of sin, but unless I have some incredible moral epiphany I'll probably grow up to help establish Manchukuo or something, deceiving myself all along the way that it is for the greater good 😊
In reality I'm female and not very rich and very leftwing, and I get a moral injury just from looking at the news the way some people only have to brush against something to bruise their entire leg. So thankfully not a chance, but I can study in a Taisho Roman-themed cafe and eat fancy curry and romanticise the grim process of revising for a maths exam and writing two reports all in the next week. Believe me I've got my best Dark Academia shirt and blazer going on as well, and if I didn't have to put so much on my rucksack I'd be wearing my coat with a cape instead of sleeves for the full aesthetic experience.
