Conversación con cupido.

Un día me encontré con cupido y le pregunté:

—¿Por qué no puedo tener un amor como en el de los libros?

Cupido me contestó:

— Porque la vida no es un cuento de Hadas. Desde pequeño nos meten en la cabeza que el amor debe ser perfecto, cuando no es así, nada en esta vida es perfecto y mucho menos el amor. En todas las películas que veíamos de pequeños, nos pintaban una vida y el amor de color de rosas, cuando todo esto no es nada más que una idealización. Muchas veces le exigimos a la otra persona cosas que no estamos dispuestos a ofrecer, las cosas deben ser mutuas para que funcionen. Para tener un amor sano primero debemos sanarnos a nosotros mismos porque de la misma forma en la que nos queramos, nos va a querer el otro. Antes de exigirle cosas a la otra persona primero debemos mirarnos en el espejo y preguntarnos: ¿Estoy dando lo que exijo? Y si la respuesta es negativa, pues ya sabremos que hacer.

Después de procesar todo lo que cupido me había dicho, finalmente le pregunté:

— ¿Y si no soy merecedora de un amor así?

Y cupido me miró muy sonriente y me dijo:

— Querida niña, en esta vida todos recibimos amor, aunque creamos no merecerlo. Yo pienso que todos en esta vida merecemos recibir amor, aún si se trata de la persona más despiadada del mundo, pienso que merece saber que alguna vez en su vida fue importante para alguien. Y para eso existo yo, para que todos amen y sean amados. Es mi único trabajo.
