#crosshair handing echo a gun minutes after meeting him

Figured I might as well start actually posting about this Au I made-
The au in question is a Star Wars modern au that I plan to one day turn into an actual fic, but as of now it's just one poorly put together chapter and a lot of brainstorming!
It's sort of a slice of life/everyone lives/happy ending story. It's centered around Boba Fett and started as a joke about his name and how in a modern setting when people first meet him they say 'Like the tea?' And he gets irrationally annoyed by it. Hence the name "No, Not The Tea" (but shortened to "Not The Tea" because removing 1 word suddenly makes it less of a mouthful)
But let's meet the characters, yeah?
The star of our show, Boba Fett, is 15 years old and the story starts with his first year of highschool.  He's grumpy (your typically moody teen) and the youngest of his brothers unless you count Din (14) and he does because he's tired of being the baby. (It does have its perks, though) Din isn't actually his brother, but he and the rest of their little rag tag group might aswell be family. (Peli 17, Fennec 16, and Cobb 15)
Next up we have everyone's favorite dad, Jango Fett! (He's a very good father in this) Father of 3 boys(or so he thought) Kote "Cody" (23), Rex(19), and Boba, he has his hands full despite two of them being grown. He works as a bounty hunter (cause that's an actual profession) and his hobbies include annoying his family, and crushing on his kids history teacher. At the age of 18, he signed up to be a sperm donor unaware of just how much they would be using his DNA. Turns out? A lot. And the majority don't seem to have a good home life. He's sufficiently pissed, when he finds out.
Coming in as the eldest child of the Fett household we have Cody! (That was until 17 and Fox showed up at least) Any legal document you find will say "Kote" but people are stupid and difficult and can't pronounce it (it's exceedingly simple, really) so Cody was born. Cody is a caffeine addict (though what Fett isn't?) and will jump at any opportunity to bother his younger brothers. (He once got Obi-Wan to buy Boba a boba-tea..Obi-Wan thought it was sweet! Boba almost committed a murder. They do not speak of that incident)
The middle child that somehow became a father to twins before anybody else could even think of utter the words "grandchildren" would be Rex. It's not like it's his fault! He figured having his 8th period of his senior year would be fun. He didn't anticipate that helping his gym teacher out would involve talking a sophomore down from a panic attack. (Echo, 16 at the time. 17 when our story starts) It's absolutely not Rex's fault that he and his twin followed him around like little ducklings after that. (Fives called him dad as a joke, so Rex took it upon himself to tell Jango that he had grandkids and almost gave the man a heart attack.) It doesn't help the Echo and Fives look suspiciously like Boba- hey wait a minute! Yeah, you guessed it. Long lost kids^^
Alright speed round let's go,
Arla's kids are the Bad Batch boys(she adopted them, they have no relation to Jango. Hunter 21, Wrecker 20, Crosshair and Tech 19) Omega is 11 and her biological daughter. Her big brothers love her to death.
Ahsoka is 19 and Rex's bff.
Luke and Leia are also 11, and they're their parents (and Uncle Obi's, and auntie soka's) pride and joy. Anakin and Padme have basically adopted Han (15. Was in Boba's grade but got held back) as their own at this point.
Wolffe is Cody's age, and the oldest of his brothers (Sinker, Boost, and Comet). They were put into the system (Yes, they came from Jango's DNA) and Plo Koon adopted them. When Jango and Plo first met they exchanged numbers and gushed about their children. (There is much more to that story but that's for a later post)
Ima-gun Di is an ex war general and currently married to Keeli. These two have absolutely NO role in the story whatsoever, I just love them. Jango has only met them once and it was because Ima-gun mistook Jango for Keeli at a grocery store once.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is a tired, loving man who teaches history at a highschool and has a not so secret crush on one of his student's fathers. (He's actually taught all the Fett boy's, lord help him.)
Jaster Mereel just wants to know how his ad keeps ending up with kids. He was already confused where the first three came from but now there are 7??(Alpha-17. Oldest. Jango is more of a brother to him if anything. Fox, did not intend to be apart of this family in the slightest and that was fine up until he met Boba and they bonded. Now he's an Ori’vod?? Yeah that checks. Then of course Cody, Rex, Echo&Fives, and Boba.) Best grandfather ever.
Mando'a is a language, because I actually love it sm-
There is so much more lore to this au than I realized, and this isn't even all of it. I fully plan on posting more, and I have a lot of art that I've done for it if I would ever get around to finishing it/posting it. Feel free to ask questions, and I hope to post more!
(Fun fact, I accidentally deleted all of this the first time I type it. So this is the second time I've typed it- I'm not bitter.)

Um so I don't actually know how to submit a request so, I've never done it before, but I hope this is right.
So I read this enemies to lovers with Tech where the reader is the Batch's new mechanic/medic/pilot (y'know something like that) and Tech is constantly trying to outsmart the reader and is kinda rude to her. So I am requesting either that or Tech and reader are already together and Tech makes a comment that hurts the readers feelings but Tech doesn't understand why she's upset cause he was merely stating "factual evidence". Also can the reader be female or like no gender. I hope I did this right.
Time will tell
(Tech X F!Reader)
Oh yeah! Either way is good, but I prefer taking requests in DM’s. I’m originally from a different writing platform and I took requests directly in messages, but send in an ask like this is good too. I don’t mind either way. That goes for everyone else who doesn’t know how to send in a request!^^
I love the first one, and I have a little something for that
———
“And that’s… Tech” Hunter sounded disappointed as he seen his brother not only did not look up, but didn’t say anything as he introduced you to your new team, Tech just gave a small wave without looking up and walking off. “He’s a busy guy, I presume” you spoke, watching ‘Tech’ walk off and into their ship. “You’ll get use to him, he’s not all that bad. The worse he could do is fill your head with useless info for hours on end” Hunter explained while putting a hand between your shoulders, guiding you into the Marauder. Ok, so it might have been a bit small but at least you were off Kamino where everything was too sterile and creepy looking. You were all alone in your room after all, no one ever really came in but a few clones, Nala Se and Omega usually handled them all though.
You gave another look around, making sure you tried to memorize everything. “We have a mission in a few hours, so I suggest you grab what you need from your place” “oh, no. I’ve got all I need, I’m going to head back and tell Nala Se we’re leaving soon” you walked out, Hunter nodded in agreement. “Well, we’ll tell you when we’re ready” you nodded, walking away from the ship and back into Kamino to Nala Se
Tech had only ever heard your voice, and by the sound of it. He was already annoyed, since when was there ever another person who does exactly as he does? It was only him, but.. the thought of sharing ideas and thought with someone else ‘smart’ would be nice. But no, he wouldn’t take it. He had to see for himself, he was sure you were going to fail, and he surely wasn’t going to be pushed aside, especially for all he’s ever done for his brothers. You weren’t the one who upgrades their armor for them, you’re not the one who has a datapad much like he has, and you couldn’t possible know anything about mechanics. He’s never met anyone who knew as much as he did, and if he hasn’t within his life, then there’s probably no such thing as it.
He thoughts were cut short, when you sat in the co-pilot seat next to him. Only Echo sat there, maybe Hunter on some occasions, he still didn’t look, and he grew annoyed as you tried to tell him what to do. “Do you even know what planet we are on?” Tech asked, finally looking at you, “what does that have to do with this? You haven’t told me where we are and I’m stuck with you. So if you could just focus on the task at hand then maybe we could actually try and get along” you spoke, his eyes widen at your words, he didn’t want you to know anything. It may sound selfish, but he thought of it as a training, I guess you could say. How would you go about in a situation where you don’t know where you’re at, and what you’re doing? What is your next steps for an unexpected change of plans?
His gaze was still hard on you, how could you know something about flying? “Tech, if you don’t help them, Omega and Hera could be shot down” you sounded desperate, but he was the one in charge. He was the one flying, you weighed your options, you didn’t know what to do. He only sat there, observing you like it was his job. “Forgive me” you apologized to him as you pushed him out the seat and took over the wheel. “Hey” Tech called from the floor, standing up, but soon holding onto your seat as he seen what you were going to do. “Hang on Wrecker!” You warned the man in the back, you pushed the petal as Tech almost flew back and Wrecker yell from the back. You turned the ship around for Wrecker so he could take out the cannons.
Tech held on as your flying was not something he was expecting, once you had all of the turrets down and Wrecker finished off the clones on the ground, you stood up, grabbing your helmet and gun. Tech grabbed your arm before you ran out, “hey-” you spoke, “careful with my ship next time” he glared at you, but Wrecker broke the both of you up by running through his grasp on your arm. “Your ship Tech? Or all of ours? She did great!” Wrecker said, hitting you on your shoulder as he laughed and ran off. “Still, we got what needed to be done, I suggest we drop this.. this argument and actually help. And for your information, we’re al Ryloth” you ran after Wrecker, and Tech stood there. You were stubborn alright, but that doesn’t mean you were better than him. No, he won’t allow it
After Hera was reunited with her parents and uncle, you all took off. For their brother Crosshair was after them, maybe even you now since you were with the Batch. Taking a deep breath in, and letting it out, you continued to clean your helmet, a few new scratches, but nothing bad. “Y/n?” Omega asked you, coming up and holding your shoulder as she stood on one leg. “What’s wrong Omega?” You asked, looking at her leg, “I got a cut, and my legs hurting. Could you look at it for me?” She asked, sitting on the chair in front of you as she turned to meet your body. “Yeah, let me just grab my stuff, stay right there” you told her as you stood up, walking to grab your bag and come back. You pulled her pants up to her knee, seeing a small scrape on it, “hmm, you only scraped it, nothing too bad if we clean it. Glad you came right on time” you tried to lift her mood up. Looking like you did since she laughed and held Lula.
“This might sting a little, but it won’t hurt” you showed her the bottle, calming her down as she was worried what you had in hand. She gave a small nod, handing it back to you, you smiled and slowly poured the liquid over the cut. She winced, hugging Lula tighter as you grabbed a bacta pad and placed it over her knee. “Alright, that should be good. Come back later for another cleaning, I’ll remind you so don’t worry, and if the ache still continues after a few minutes. Tell me so I can give you some medicine, it might be from all the time you haven’t treated it, but be careful next time” you pulled her pants down, patting her lower leg as she set it down. “So you aren’t going to treat the ache she has?” Tech asked, datapad obviously in hand as he watched you, “Tech! She cleaned it up just now, I should be fine. I think it was just dirty” Omega spoke, Tech looked at her, the back at you, he walked over to another seat, making Omega face him as he turned the chair. “What are you doing?” Omega asked as Tech pulled her pants up again.
Taking the tape off and looking at her scrape, he almost nodded in approval, but stopped himself. “Oh come on, I’m not going just throw a bacta pad on there and say I’m done” you told him, “still, you could have left out an important part” he spoke, Omega watched, “and just because you’re a medic, doesn’t mean you know it all” he harshly said, you wanted to just leave, everyone’s been nice except for Tech, “yeah? Well just because your name is ‘Tech’ doesn’t mean you’re actually a technician. You can multitask yet I haven’t spoken one word about your work” you spoke up, gathering your things and leaving. Omega watched as it all unfolded before her, “that was a bit rude Tech, maybe try and be nice, she’s new. You’re probably making her feel bad” Omega defended you
Tech took his helmet off, watching you walk off and disappear down the hall. “Maybe we only needed one, medic aboard. That was only a small scratch Omega, anyone could treat that” he stood up, “maybe you think we only need one medic, but I think differently. You should respect her more, I came to her because you were busy making repairs, and I’m glad to have let you work while she wasn’t busy. She even helped us back on Ryloth” it wasn’t new that Omega put yet another one of her brothers in place. She was right, you did save them, and treat her. He bet, if she would have went to Wrecker, he would have only plugged it up with trash and dirt then throw a bandaid on it.
Omega walked out the cockpit, Lula in her hands as Tech was left alone. So what you knew how to fly and treat a small wound, anyone could do that… anyone who knew what they were doing. And he was intrigued at how much you knew and what you’ve done.
Everyone sat in their seat, you sat behind Echo as he sat in the co-pilot chair. Your hands gripping the pen as you worked an equation out on a piece of paper. Tech heard you whisper quite loudly the numbers, so he worked it out in his head as he watched the stars go by while in hyperspace. “205” he said, you looked up, sighing in annoyance and putting on a fake smile, “thanks Tech, I’m sure me working it out and trying a different way of solving this problem was to easy for you. What a pity, me working with pen and paper as you have a datapad? What was I thinking?” You scoffed out, Echo laughed a bit at your bite back. Tech turned to you, “what do you mean ‘a different way’?” He asked, you threw the paper at him as he caught it then glaring at you for doing so.
His eyes scanned over the numbers, this wasn’t right. None of this was, “give me the pen” he spoke, you looked at him, “what for?” “Just give me the pen” he demanded as you shook your head no. Echo was curious to see what you both were arguing about, his head peaked over the paper and was met with messy writings and scrambled numbers. “How can you read that thing?” You heard Echos disbelief in his voice, “here, I’ll explain it” you reassured him as you clicked the pen. Tech watched as you began to explain what this new trick was. He was fascinated, he found himself looking up your arm until he watched your face as you spoke about something that actually interested you… interested him.
He continued to hold the board with the paper on it for you while you worked it out, circling the answer. He wasn’t sure why, but when you turned to Echo to talk about it, he was quite jealous. Echo wouldn’t understand, but Tech did, why didn’t you argue with him about it. He hesitantly tapped two fingers on your shoulder, you turned and faced him, “perhaps, we could further discuss what you put into motion here? I could teach you some new things as well” he offered, Echo had seen his frail to finally try and get closer to you. He stood up, “excuse me” he walked off, giving you and Tech the time together. “Not sure, I feel like you’re only going to insult me further while thinking you’re smarter, you also offered me something. Don’t know if I should take it that you want something or you hit your head” you crossed your arms, looking at him. “I assure you, I have something’s I would like to share” he lightly laughed.
You thought about it, “fine, but if anything” you threatened him, “there no need to get hostile with me now Y/n, I want to see just how much you know” he leaned back into his seat, arms and legs crossed as he eyed you down. But if anything did happen, the Batch was on board. You sat in the seat Echo sat in before, questioning your choice on agreeing.
It seems Tech had underestimated you to soon, you we’re definitely smarter than he had thought. Was there actually someone just like him? Someone who he could rely on and wouldn’t have to explain too, mainly going into details. But you, oh you… you just gave him this feeling. He didn’t want you to leave the seat when you both sat, it was interesting seeing how you knew some things he didn’t. You both shared theories and facts about unusual things people would have probably brushed off and thought was annoying or just plain boring. He found himself moving ever so closer to you when you both started getting into.. deeper matters. What you did on Kamino versus what he does for the galaxy with his brothers. You told him how you wanted to get off the planet and explore while he suggested he explores all the time.
That was until you both found each other, knees touching while you both leaned forward. It was wrong, you abruptly stood up, “I’m sorry Tech, I shouldn’t have” you fixed your armor and set out. Just what happened there?
He didn’t have feelings for you, if he did. It’d most likely be jealousy and anger, for he didn’t want to be replaced for someone they had just met. He was their brother, you can’t just remove them from their life. Now you were off somewhere in the ship, probably have already forgotten about him. But his thoughts were stuck on you, was he too mean to you? Now that whenever he got close, you either brushed him off or you walked away. But what if he wasn’t, would you two have been closer? Together perhaps? It was like talking to himself, actually finding interest in the conversation. Feelings were never in his area of expertise, so he couldn’t exactly pinpoint what he was feeling at the moment. He was sure to keep an eye on it and write down anything he feels on his datapad, maybe even do some research.
“Y/n!” “Coming!” You replied to Echo as he yelled for your assistance. Walking down the hall to to Echo kneeling before the console trying to fix whatever he was trying to. “Yeah?” You asked, “I need..” he trailed off, trying to get the control panel fixed. “Oh! I’ve done this plenty of times back on Kamino for the clones’ ship when they got back” you spoke while kneeling next to him, undoing the wires as he looked at you, “what are you doing?” “Relax, you can’t just keep the control panel like this, you have to make sure it clean, this this part” you pointed to the corner of the panel as there was dirt inside, “that’s blocking this part, from entering. So brush this aside, and put it back. Now you’re going to want to make sure all the wires and whatnot are still good. Some could burn out and that could ruin the whole thing, and then you’d have to replace it all. But other times, it just needs a little cleaning” you walked him through it, telling him what goes where and how to clean the board without ruining it, while still making it easy for him to understand without using the big confusing words
He nodded, understanding, “Tech would never say anything like this. He does all the repairs like this, the only time he needs help is when he needs tools or for us to hold something” “Ah, I see. I’m sure he means well. I never had anyone to talk to about this and it feels good to finally share some knowledge” you told him to screw the panel back on. He stood up, offering you his hand and helping you up. “Thanks” “no problem, you learn something new everyday” Echo laughed at your joke, giving you a pat on the shoulder and walking off. You kneeled back down picking up the tools and gathering them into a bag. Another pair of hands helped you, as you looked up, you noticed he had no thigh armor. Tech.
“Thank you Tech, you didn’t have to-” you were pushed on your back as Tech was on top of you. You groaned at the pushed, opening your eyes to see Tech giving you a kiss. Your senses finally returning as you felt the harsh action, making your lips hurt. He softened the kiss, making you now blush as you laid there under him. He pulled back, “T-Tech?” You let out the breath you held in, “Y/n. I’m so sorry about before” your brow furrowed in confusion. “What for?” “All those words, bringing you down. It’s wrong now and it was wrong then, but how could I have not appreciated your actions before?” He questioned himself as you now remembered all those things he said and what he did to try and put you down.
“I can’t let someone, so good and loving leave. I’ve seen the way you treat Omega and my brothers when I’m not there too, you’re smart and beautiful. Yet you’re ready for battle when you’re thrown into it. I’ve been thinking, about my feelings, and… and us” your eyes widen at the last part. About, you? Him? Together? You haven’t thought about it, maybe once but that was when you both were talking that night in the cockpit, he was rude and unforgiving when you were introduced and given a task, always saying he knew and could do better than you. And that your tactics were sloppier than his, and to be frank, he didn’t mean that. It was his feelings he was confused about, “Tech.. I actually don’t know what to do. While you say you’ve thought of us, I haven’t, maybe once but that was wrong. We could never work out” you confessed, his gloved hand on the side of your head as he stroked a few hairs out of your face.
He sighed, thinking. This time it was his heart speaking, not his brain, this has nothing to do with what he normally did. So he had to wing it. “Tell me. What do I need to do to show you, how much I appreciate and want you by my side? Tell me what’s making you feel uncomfortable about us and how I can help. I’m willing to give this a chance if you are” he sounded desperate, the first time you’ve heard him like this. But you had to think on it, he was just as smart, maybe even smarter, he was blunt which made you not have to worry about his opinions on others and how you feel. And he was strong, both mentally and physically. You’ve never met someone as close knowing and interesting like you.
“I.. I’m willing to give this a chance as well” your hand came up to his hair, then pulling him down for another loving kiss. All those problems and feelings he couldn’t explain and work out, have now blown away. If seemed like being close to you felt like ecstasy, your aura felt so welcoming and warm. His lips ghosted over yours before coming down for another. This new found feeling was something he could get use to, yours lips felt so soft against his, your fingertips slightly trailed along his jawline and cupped his cheek. “We, better get up before someone sees us” you suggested, he nodded. A quick kiss on the side of your mouth was given before he got up. Pulling you along. He wanted to see where this relationship would take him.
He was excited to have you by his side now, he knew you two could take on anything. The thought of having someone just like him by his side put a warm feeling in his stomach, someone he could protect along with his brothers. Maybe the jealousy before was telling him something, maybe you both were destined to be together since you both could agree that you’ve never met anyone like the other. And he was glad to have someone to return to every time he came back from a mission, or having you on a mission with him in general. He already had hundreds of reasons why he fell in love with you, and if that’s just the beginning, he wondered what being with you forever would he like. Only time will tell
———
I hope you enjoyed, again! If you ever want to send it a request, I take it in DM’s for those who want to stay anonymous, but others can also go to my ask box. Either way is fine, I don’t mind!^^

Four times Crosshair helped his brothers and one time he did the best he could.
Hello! This is my first time doing something like this so I hope you enjoy it. I'm still very new to writing and I suck at editing so I'm sorry for any mistakes.
Word count: 2,781
Warnings:
Wrecker- Mentions of blood, violence, Hurt character.
Hunter- Mentions of overstimulation and migraines
Echo- Nightmares
CT-9904- That scene from s1 e1 tbb
Wrecker (Cadets, age around 16)
The feeling of the clone’s face against Crosshair’s fist was satisfying. Even after the blood started to cover his knuckles, he kept punching. It wasn’t until the cadet’s eyes closed that he stopped. He let the boy’s tunic go, and he hit the ground with a dull thud. He would wake up eventually and Crosshair would inevitably get punished but right now he didn’t care.
He was alone when he got the com. He was getting cleaned up after some private training., about to meet his brothers in the cafeteria but when Hunter told him that kriffen reg had landed Wrecker in the med bay he changed course.
He made his way to the medbay. Stopping only to wash the blood off his hands. Looking in the mirror he noticed his hair was getting grayer. He wasn’t sure why his hair was graying so early but he didn’t mind it. Wrecker always teased him about it but he thought it made him look more mature.
The med bay door slid open revealing Hunter sitting beside a bed as Tech paced. A droid was hovering over the bed occupied by Wrecker.
Hunter stood as he walked over. “What took you so long?”
“I was busy.” He forced himself to look away from Wrecker’s bloody and bruised form and to Hunter. “How is he?”
Tech answered first. “Under these conditions, there is a 15 percent chance that he will wake up in the next hour, Every hour after that the chance goes up by 7.5 percent until hour five where if he’s not awake by then the chances lower by-”
“He’s going to be fine.” Hunter supplied, sending a comforting smile to Tech. The droid left without a word and the boys settled down. Wrecker’s face was swollen. The left side of his face was covered in bandages, including his eye. Every moment that he watched, that he saw his brother in this state, his fury grew.
“What happened?” He asked through clenched teeth.
Hunter and Tech shared a look and Tech adjusted his goggles.
“No one knows yet,” Hunter said.
His hands tensed into fists. The quickly bruising knuckles protested but he didn’t care. That’s when he saw it. Lula, tucked in beside Wrecker, was looking almost as bad as its owner. One of the ears was hanging on by a thread and a leg was missing.
Without saying anything Crosshair stood up and grabbed the stuffed toy.
“I found the leg in the hall.” He pulled it out and offered it to Crosshair who took it without a word.
Crosshair didn’t know how to sew but he tried his best with the supplies he could find in the med bay. They all waited. Hunter as still as possible, trying to keep the squad as calm as possible. Tech buried himself in his padd and tried to distract himself. Although every hour Crosshair could hear him whisper the new odds of Wrecker waking up.
Crosshair folded in on himself completely focused on fixing Lula. His long legs protested being forced into the chair, his back ached from being slouched, but he didn’t mind. After two hours Lula was all fixed up. It wasn’t what Crosshair would call a good job, but it was the best he could do. He just hoped it was enough.
Tech
If Tech wasn’t dead at the end of this Crosshair was going to kill him. Not surprisingly the job went bad and now they were in a shootout. His scope allowed him to see the chaos in the warehouse from the hill he was nested on. Amongst it all was Tech. Who disobeyed orders and abandoned his cover; running like a kriffin idiot trying to get to the computer.
“Tech get under cover!” Hunter’s voice came through the comm.
“No can do Hunter. If I can just-” Tech was cut off as more droids entered the warehouse, open firing.
Crosshair cursed under his breath and started to pick them off. There was little chance of this mission succeeding but that’s where they worked best. In the midst of the blaster fire, yelling, orders being called, and explosions he noticed something. Another blaster was shooting into the warehouse at Tech who had, so far, dodged the fire purely by dumb luck. He watched carefully, tuning out the bickering in his ear.
A streak of a blaster shot through the air heading for the very clueless Tech who was pinned down. Without thinking he aimed. Time slowed as he watched the bullet fly through the air. His finger tightened on the trigger and in the time of a heartbeat he fired. The bullets collided and went wide, missing Tech who was quickly getting surrounded.
He aimed again, this time at the chains holding up the large doors. He shot. The first chain broke. Reaming at the other chain he fired again. His brothers could handle the droids, He’d handle the sniper. He shot again. The chain rattled but stayed in place. Another shot and the door dropped crushing the few droids underneath.
“Cross what’s happening? Was that you?” Hunter’s voice broke through the wall of concentration he put up.
“Little busy” He replied, moving positions to aim where the other nest would be and waited. One breath, two, three, there. Movement caught his eye as someone poked their head up. His finger tightened and he felt the familiar kick of his gun. The figure dropped and He stood.
By the time grabbed a speeder and made his way to the warehouse the fight was over and other than a few burns and cuts his brothers were safe.
Hunter
Hunter was having another bad day. He didn’t have them as often as he did when they were cadets. He had learned how to suppress it better. Or, Crosshair suspected, how to hide them better.
However, he still had days where he was easily overwhelmed. They all knew the signs. Talking quieter, flinching more, headaches, tensing at the smallest sound, not wanting people to talk or touch him, sitting further away from the group. Crosshair had had migraines before and remembered how awful those were, he was glad that he would never have to deal with increased senses.
Hunter was in the cockpit looking out the window. Everyone had tried to give him as much space as possible so they were making themselves busy elsewhere. He set a steaming cup of the tea he always drank when he had bad days down as gently as possible in front of Hunter and sat across from him. They sat in silence for a time. He watched Hunter slowly sip the tea.
“Thank you,” Hunter whispered
“You should go lay down. I’ll keep the others quiet.” Although he had lowered his voice Hunter still winced.
“I’m okay, We’re almost to the mission anyway.”
Stubborn as always. Wordlessly Crosshair checked the computers, there was an uninhabited planet not far from them. He entered the coordinates and the ship changed course.
Hunter raised a questioning eyebrow and he just gave him a smile.
“Where are we going?”
“Jargon. It’s quiet.”
“Cross I-” He glared at the dash that beeped and sighed. “Thank you”
He hummed in acknowledgment. The mission could wait a few hours, or even a few days, as long as his brothers were okay.
Echo
Crosshair couldn’t sleep. He and Echo had just gotten back to the ship after a week away. Tech, Hunter, and Wrecker were still away and weren’t expected until at least the next day. Why Hunter decided to make him go alone with the new guy was beyond him. He wasn’t interested in making friends. He had his brothers and that was more than enough.
He laid in his bunk staring up at the ceiling. The ship was eerily quiet with everyone being away. As much as he wanted to enjoy it, it filled him with dread. He had grown to love the noise and chaos that came with the bad batch and missed it when it was gone.
He heard movement and was pulled from his thoughts.
“No… No” Echo was murmuring. He sat up and got out of bed to see what was going on. Quietly making his way over he could see Echo tossing in his bunk. His first instinct was to call for Hunter. This was more of his thing. However, that wasn’t an option.
Kneeling beside the bed he put a hand on the clone’s shoulder. “Echo,” Echo responded by getting louder.
“No! Please!”
“Echo!” He shook him. “Wake up.”
The tossing stopped and his eyes opened with a deep breath. He tried to sit up but the hand stopped him. “Rex will come back for me!”
“He already has.” He removed his hand and leaned back to give the man some space. Dealing with nightmares wasn’t anything new. They all had them.
Clarity came into Echos eyes. “Crosshair?” He sat up, still breathing heavily.
“You had a nightmare.” It was a fact and yet Echo looked down ashamed. Crosshair watched carefully as Echo looked everywhere but him. “I’m sorry I woke you.” With that, he laid back down. Crosshair internally cursed both the regs and Hunter.
Nightmares were a part of life for the clones however the regs had something against talking about them. They preferred to keep the pain a secret, pretend it wasn’t there. Why they were taboo to talk about was beyond him. He had spent many nights listening to his brothers talk about theirs and he had spent almost as much time sitting up with at least one of his brothers because of his own nightmares.
While he understood why and even accepted bringing Echo aboard he still wasn’t that close to him and didn’t plan on getting close. He was, after all a reg. A reg who had special abilities now, but a reg nonetheless. He knew that Hunter wanted him to let Echo in the way he had let in his brothers. He also knew that he didn’t care what Hunter wanted. However, as he watched Echo close his eyes and pretend to fall back asleep his heart twisted.
He stood. “Come with me.” Without waiting he walked out of the ship. On his way out he grabbed a blanket.
A few moments after he walked out onto the ship’s ramp, Echo joined him.
“Crosshair? Is there a problem?” He still looked scared. Like any minute he’d be sucked back into his dreams never to return.
“Sit.” Echo did as was ordered. Sitting on the ramp. The black sky was filled with twinkling stars. Cross put the blanket over Echo’s shoulders and sat next to him.
Crosshair was looking straight ahead. “If you are going to be a part of the bad batch you need to learn to accept help.”
“I don’t know what you-”
“Fresh air is the best remedy for nightmares.” He turned to look at Echo. “There is no use in keeping them bottled up.”
They sat there most of the night. Echo told him about his time before being taken, his brothers, his commanders. He told him about Fives and Rex. He told him about his time as an unwilling traitor to the republic he loved.
They both silently promised to not talk about that night again. Echo didn’t want to be embarrassed and Crosshair didn’t want this responsibility any more than he needed to take it. Or at least that’s what he would say if pressed.
The next morning Crosshair was woken up by his brother’s arrival. Their part of the mission was a success. And as the five of them walked into the ship and Crosshair figured that maybe four brothers wouldn’t be so bad.
CT-9904
Good soldiers follow orders.
The rest of the bad batch was in the hanger. Predictable. They always thought they were a step ahead. Now he would show them how flawed their thinking really was. They were cowards trying to run away.
Hunter walked out from behind the crates. Reckless a small part of him thought. He ignored it. He had eyes on Wrecker, Echo, and Omega. All behind the crates. Tech was most likely in the ship.
“Best stand down Sargent,” He said. They were in a standoff and Crosshair knew who would win when the time came. The traitors wouldn’t hurt him. “Make it easy on yourself.”
“Have you lost your mind?” Hunter replied.
Yes
‘Quiet’
“We should’ve killed that Jedi. You disobeyed orders” Why didn’t Hunter follow the orders? If he had just been a good soldier, a good leader, then none of this would be happening.
“I did what I thought was right.” Hunters snapped, stepping forward.
“You never could see the bigger picture.” He shrugged. “Now surrender.”
Let them go.
Hunter glanced back at the group as they prepared for a firefight. Wrecker put his helmet on.
These are your brothers.
“Is that an order?” Hunter looked back at him.
He let out a chuckle. “I guess it is.”
Don’t do this.
“Well, I guess I’m disobeying that one too.”
They stayed staring at each other. Waiting to see who would make the first move. He spat out the toothpick.
Stop, please, no.
‘Quiet,’
His finger tightened as the thunder rumbled. He wanted Hunter to come peacefully. Why did Hunter never listen? He didn’t want to hurt them.
But he would do what he must.
In one motion he lifted his arm, set the blaster on it and fired. Hunter ducked and it hit the ramp of the ship. A part of him was screaming that this was wrong but he continued. The clones he was with open fired. Clone force 99 returned fire and two smoke bombs were thrown. They moved in.
He took aim again. This time using a heat sensor. He let off a few shots then waited. They needed to clear the smoke and when they did…
The sound of metal hitting metal rang through the air as the smoke cleared. Wrecker was in the middle of it and through one of the container lids, knocking some clones down.
Taking aim all he could see was the second one coming for him. He rolled out of the way as the containers fell where he was moments ago.
He aimed.
NO!
He shot, hitting Wrecker’s armour. He’d survive.
This time Wrecker fell. His brothers wouldn’t fall for it but the girl might and if he got a clear shot on the girl Hunter would soon follow.
Sure enough, a blonde head poked out from behind the crates and he fired again. He missed as she was pulled back undercover.
The ship started up. They couldn’t go. They needed to stay, needed to see that this was the right thing.
“Seal the bay doors!” He ordered. The clone to his right. He ran for the panel on the wall.
A light started flashing and a warning alarm beep. The door didn’t shut.
“Sir! Someone is overriding the controls.”
Tech.
He took aim once again. Hunter was giving Omega orders. She would be his target as they tried to leave.
“Only one way out Hunter. Your move.” He said.
Traitor.
The voice was loud and annoying. He shook it off.
He put his finger on the trigger.
“Go!”
Hunter and Echo stood and fired. Moving into the walkway, towards Wrecker. Towards the ship. Moving forward to cover he fired. He made it behind the crates and mentally kicked himself. Why wasn’t he aiming properly? This should be over already.
The last clone fell, hit by the oncoming fire. He turned his head to try and see where they were but couldn’t see them. Only the blaster bolts. He stood and took aim. Hunter was in his sights. This time he wouldn’t miss and he wouldn’t have mercy.
Stop!
His finger tightened on the trigger when suddenly electricity ran through the gun. He watched it drop and looked to where the shot was fired. Standing on the ramp was Omega. Blaster in hand.
He could swear he heard laughing from somewhere inside of him.
He pulled the blaster off of his hip and aimed. Omega shot first. Both the shots missing as he ran for cover.
You’ve lost. Let them go.
The ship lifted off and he ran towards it. Firing. None of his shots hit and soon the door was shut.
He stopped running once they were in space. He put the blaster away and took off his helmet. He looked into space as the mix of emotions bubbled inside of him. They left him. He failed his first mission. He knew Wrecker would live and his brothers would be okay. That’s all that matters.

Beautiful Mischief [Pt. 9]
Bad Batch x Reader • Angst/Fluff/NSFW (yknow the whole deal) • Mechanic [hidden Jedi] ! Reader • Female reader
Tumblr media
“You’re leaving soon?”
“I need to go on Kamino, and find the answers myself if Obi Wan hasn’t yet”
“Y/N I...I can’t have you kill yourself”
“Rey, I promise I won’t” Y/N reassures her vod without the blood as Reylen brought her into her embrace.
“Remember what we planned when we were kids?”
“Yes”
“You’ll meet me there...when it’s finally over”
Y/N squeezed Reylen in her embrace feeling her grip onto her cloak.
“I promise”
“You modified this rust bucket a lot” Crosshair comments as he helps Tech get ready to launch.
“I do what I can” Y/N replies sitting at her station checking on the diagnostics before prepping along with the two.
Hunter stares at Y/N from his seat sensing her tension, already making him worry as Echo caught on immediately.
“I have easy contact with Fives from the 501st, do you think we’ll need the back up?”
“The Bad Batch is the strongest out of the clones. I have faith we can handle this on our own. But you tell him if we need it, we’d give him the word” Y/N looked at Echo when she told him all of that, getting up and checking on a few things before launching.
“Wait for my call” Hunter informs Tech receiving a nod before following after Y/N seeing her simply take a minute to herself in the storage compartment.
“I know you’re there Hunt”
“Hmm. Thought I was stealthier than that”
“Not with me” Y/N watches him step in standing in front of her. “I’m okay”
“You’re not”
“I promise you that I am”
“Okay, well I’m not” Hunter admits taking Y/N’s face into his hands taking a deep breath giving her the second to do it herself as she carefully held his wrists. “We may face a lot more than just the Kaminoans. Could face the republic head on”
“Or Odious...”
“Or all of them. The republic was meant to protect you, but they failed to do their job and you’ve fallen. Yet that’s all they see. Ignoring all the recovery you’ve been through.”
“Hunter...”
“We risked our lives already, and are willing to do it again for your sake.”
“I won’t let anything happen to any of you...I won’t allow it” Y/N frowns looking him in the eye as Hunter slots himself closer feeling her hands move to his torso.
“I know cyar’ika” He says before pressing his lips against hers moving his hands to her waist keeping her close.
When the war is over
I want a life with you
And I don’t want to lose you before I can get that chance
Y/N leans into Hunter’s embrace in the comfort of his quarters as she hasn’t stopped thinking about the possibility of everything going wrong.
“Are you alright?”
“No”
“You can tell me what’s on your mind”
“...I’m afraid to”
Hunter frowns squeezing her a bit as Y/N held onto his arms pressing her back against his chest. He rests his head on her shoulder holding her until she started to calm down in his embrace.
“I’m fine with dying, Hunter. This isn’t just my fight but for now it should be. I don’t want any of you getting hurt because of my actions. Not anymore...”
“Like we’re going to allow that cray’ika” Crosshair interrupts the two’s private moment by eavesdropping and barging in.
“Cross”
“Okay since he decided to actually come in” Echo adds following the sharpshooter and sitting on the edge of the bed as Cross propped himself against the wall. “We won’t let you die”
“And before you start to argue. The first attack wasn’t just meant for Odious to capture you. Darth Maul had his own agenda. We would’ve had to stop him if we didn’t give a single fuck about you”
Y/N sighs leaning into Hunter more as she took Echo’s hand once it was extended to her.
“I can’t lose any of you”
“And we can’t lose you” Wrecker adds finally joining but staying out since him entering the room would make it claustrophobic.
“So we’ll fight until we win. And we won’t lose anyone” Hunter states.
Loves of my life
I will lay down my life for you
And you would do the same for me
But I can’t let that happen
Stepping onto Kamino felt like a mistake, but Y/N needed her answers.
“Something doesn’t feel right” Tech states following Y/N close behind her as she felt it. Something was off.
FIRE
Y/N ignited one of her sabers blocking a plethora of shots fired directly at her as Crosshair uses Tech’s shoulder to give him leverage with his rifle and took down the gatling gun firing resulting in a minor explosion causing the trooper manning it to fall. But Y/N caught them with the force giving Cross a look.
“We aren’t killing any body. Especially any of your brothers.”
“Y/N—-“
“They don’t know better. Good soldiers follow orders. Once the chip is revealed, with its flaws.” Y/N states. “The war will be over. Obi Wan failed to figure it out or he simply followed orders instead of caring about those in his life. I will fight my battle another day. But for now. I’m finishing this”
As the batch kept close to Y/N as she took lead walking over to the trooper that was orders to fire. She helped him up taking a step back before he could try anything.
“Who’s orders?”
“I have orders to not talk to you”
“Well then. Wrecker” Hunter calls watching Wrecker grab the trooper by the chest plate slamming him into the wall.
“Now. Who’s orders, reg?” Crosshair glares watching him struggle in Wrecker’s grasp.
“Chancellor Palpatine and General Obi Wan Kenobi” He continues to struggle before finally being dropped and before he could call it in. Echo grabbed his communicator tossing it to Tech to dismantle.
“You think the General is here?” Echo asks getting a tense look from Y/N as she retracts her sabers when the sound of hanger doors open.
Y/N stepped through the batch staring at the transporter ship making themselves visible. The doors close and the ship lands before the 501st and 212th poured out from the sides along General Skywalker and Kenobi.
“If you think you’re going to do anything to her—-“
“Shut up” Hardcase blurts getting smacked by Jesse for blurting that out loud.
“Excuse Hardcase, we’re not going to do anything to Y/N except bring her in under orders of the chancellor”
“Now what does the chancellor want, when the council has more a problem with me?” Y/N glares bringing one hand behind her and signaling Tech as he got to work with his visor. “Obi Wan. Qui Gon taught you better than this”
“Don’t you dare—“ Anakin stops when Obi Wan stepped forward.
“He did. But I believed in the order”
“Believed” Y/N frowns. “What’s stopping you from killing me like what many Jedi did to the sith and anyone that turned against the order?”
“Y/N but you didn’t—“ Echo frowns stopping himself when Hunter looked at him to.
“You, Y/N.” Kenobi frowns taking his cloak off causing an unnoticeable eye roll from Cody, his commander. “You were tortured. Under a control that you had no say in. I had to report it since you were once under our care and then not. You were controlled by sith. Everything had to be documented. Including the scans and labs we took. The chancellor wants us to take you in for questioning”
“Instead of solving the chip and who controls it. You care more about my factor in this? What a weird way of showing it. But I’m not going with you and I’m not hurting any of you to get away”
“So turn yourself in scum”
“Okay I will hurt him but the others I won’t” Y/N glares at Anakin keeping her hands away from her lightsabers knowing if she touched one, she’s a goner. “Hm”
“Y/N—“
“This is gonna take the hard way I guess” Y/N forced Anakin and Kenobi’s sabers into her hands before getting a head start into the building and before the batch could react, Tech had already deployed her BD unit to release a grenade that put an electric shock through the two battalions and generals.
“Let’s get going”
“How the fuck do you plan that?!”
“Tech is an analyst, Cross” Hunter laughs following Y/N as Wrecker grabbed Crosshair and Tech unexpectedly to hurry their pace.
Echo stayed behind for just a second staring at the battalions before quickly following. He hacked the door with his socket to make sure it stayed closed to give them enough time.
“You got a plan?”
“I know what I’m doing Hunt”
“Hm. Love this already” Crosshair laughs being set down when they reached the lab as Tech opens the camera on the BD unit with the datapad available seeing a few troopers coming through.
“They’re coming. What you have planned. Better hurry”
“And make it quick. I can’t always handle the hacking mechanisms in Kamino” Echo states already shutting down door by door as Tech kept them posted on the closer they got.
“HOW COULD YOU TRUST THIS—THIS TRAITOR”
“ANAKIN, SHE WAS MY PADAWAN. SHE WANTED THE LIFE YOU HAVE WITH PADMÉ AND GOT IT RIPPED AWAY FROM HER THE SECOND SHE LEFT THE ORDER. IMAGINE THE LOSE YOUVE EXPERIENCED TIMES A MILLION. SHE GAVE US ALL THE INFORMATION FROM HER ABUSER AND SO ON. EVERYTHING WE NEEDED TO KNOW AND I DIDN’T LISTEN TO HER. NOW SHES AN ENEMY OF THE STATE AND I CANT FIX THAT WITH MY INSTRUCTIONS TO KILL HER”
Tech froze hearing that last bit from Obi Wan from the cameras and seeing Anakin grow hesitant but a job is a job.
A job is a job

The Reveal Pt. 1
Rating: SFW/PG-13
Word Count: 1.3k
Pairing: Hunter x Fem Jedi!OC
Warnings: Swearing (im too lazy to write the star wars swear words so its our kind of swears), trauma/fear situation, suspense build up, hints to romance
Summary: You've exposed yourself as a Jedi to the Bad Batch, and not intentionally. You're trying to avoid them on the Havoc Marauder, worried that they may be out for your blood, the same way the clones were when they executed the Jedi.
Authors note: I'd recommend reading a few other fics I posted that kinda help lay the ground work for this story/the OC. Ill link them below. This is kinda dramatic, but I had to write it out. Ill post part 2 pretty quickly itll be linked below as well. I have more fluff stuff coming I promiseeee
Migraine
Injured Pt. 1, Pt 2.
Part 2 of The Reveal here
@mangoberry99
The environment on the Havoc Marauder had been tense the whole ride. You had decided to try and avoid everyone as much as possible, and you’ve been on the far side of the ship in the small medical supply closet since the journey began.
Shit.
You had slipped up. You prayed to the force that they didn’t notice, but who were you kidding. Hunter had enhanced sense, Tech was enough of a genius to put two and two together. They saw you make a 40ft jump.
You and the ship were under heavy fire. They were trying to bring the ship closer, but they weren’t making progress quickly enough. You had to jump, or take blaster shots to the face. Now you exposed yourself by making an impossible jump.
Maybe they’ve never seen a Jedi before…
You shook your head. Idiot. Of course they’ve seen Jedi, they were in the Grand Army of the Republic, the same army that had thousands of Jedi as commanders and generals.
You used to be a part of that same army. You fought the war.
And you ran away before it was even over. The battle on Umbara… you shivered from the thought of it. That was your last fight.
That’s when I stopped being a Jedi.
You dispelled the thought, just for another unpleasant one to come. What if they know I am- or was, a Jedi? What if they try to kill me like the other clones did to the Jedi? You squeezed your eyes tight. Their faces flashed through your mind. Memories too- challenging wrecker to a drinking contest, teaching Tech the proper pronunciations in Togruti, spending time with Echo in the cockpit on a night of shared insomnia, cutting Crosshairs toothpick while still in his mouth on a day where he was giving you too much sass, and Hunter.
Hunter. You sucked in a deep breath, a swell of emotions filling in your chest. You always wondered about him. His relationship with you was different from everyone else. You could call the boys your friend, but you weren't sure if friend was the right word for him. You noticed how he would keep his eyes on you, how he kept close to you when things got dangerous. You remembered moments when you tended to each other's wounds, or walked past each other on the ship. The longing glances, lingering touches. You could almost feel the electricity you had felt just from being beside him, for some reason craving to reach out to him. You trusted him, you had vulnerable moments with him.
And now he might try to kill me. And I might kill him.
The galaxy really knew how to be cruel, and it looked like you were being given the cruelest fate it could think of.
The door opened and you saw a small figure slip in. Omega. You sighed. She liked you, maybe too much, now that the shit was about to hit the fan. Or you would run and hide as soon as you could, and never see them again.
“Sera! I was looking for you!” She smiled and turned on the lights. She seemed happy to have found you.
“Hey kid.” You looked down at her, and you couldn’t help smiling. Omega was your first friend after a long time of solitude. She wandered over to your home a lot, which led to your eventual friendship with the bad batch.
“Do you mind if I sit in here with you? Or maybe you can come out with me?”
You felt your stomach sink. You weren’t going to enjoy letting her down.
“Omega… maybe it’s best you go stay near the boys. They’re probably wondering where you are right now.”
“I don’t think so, they know I’m on the ship.” She brushed off your concerns quickly. “Tell me about one of the planets you’ve visited! Or-”
“Omega, Sera, we’re about to land, strap in.” You heard Hunters voice down the hall. You felt knots twist in your stomach. You used the force to sense your lightsaber. Still hidden in your bag, a secret pocket you made to effectively hide it. You didn’t make any movements.
“Sera? You coming?”
You looked to see Omega waiting expectantly, concern showing on her face. “Sera…” an expression you couldn’t quite understand crossed her face as she stared at you. Was it worry? Understanding? “You’re safe here.” She reached out to touch your arm. “I promise, you’re safe.” She squeezed your arm and smiled.
If only you knew.
You won’t kill them. You’ll do whatever you can to disarm, and run. You decided this with confidence now. You couldn’t hurt Omega like that, kill the only family she knows. And if it comes down to it… you’ll take the knife in the back, the blaster shot, the beating, whatever happens.
“Thanks Omega.” You smiled, but it was fake, and you were sure it probably looked wrong. “You head up now. I’ll be fine back here.”
She looked unsure and you nodded your head, urging her on. She exited and you released a breath you held. You closed the door and shut off the light.
You heard footsteps, your name being called, but you stayed hidden. Eventually you felt the ship jolt around a bit, and you could tell you’d just exited hyper space and were flying through the atmosphere. Another couple minutes later, a soft thud confirming that you’d landed. You felt adrenaline start pulsing through your body, your fingertips felt like they were being zapped with electricity.
Here we go.
You slipped your mask on, a memento of the clone wars you fought in. You used to always wear it, that was until you befriended the misfit clones. You felt protected when you wore it though, and you needed as much protection as you could get right now.
You shook your head a few times. Maybe they don’t know. Maybe they don’t know. Maybe they don’t know. You kept repeating it in your head. Almost like a mantra. You grabbed your bag and exited the room.
“Sera! There you are!” Wreckers loud voice boomed down the hall. You flinched a little. He didn’t charge at you. He smiled his big goofy grin, swaggering down the hall. He didn’t look like he was going to pummel you. You waited expectantly. “Here I am…” you forced a laugh.
“Where were you?” Hunter spoke and emerged from behind Wrecker. His eyes tried to meet yours, but you avoided direct contact. You didn’t walk up to approach either of them. You watched Hunter now. He didn’t look like he wanted to hurt you either.
This could be a trick. The clones killed the Jedi by tricking them, it had to be the only way. You stayed on guard. You answered Hunter, “Just around. Felt like being alone.”
“Okay then...” His eyebrows knit together, and his arms folded across his chest. You couldn’t tell if he believed you. Hunter was always difficult to read. The boys knew you coveted alone time, so you thought your excuse was believable. Technically it was partially true.
“Well I’m here, we’re back, and we can get off the ship now, right Tech? Echo?” You hollered down the hall. Hunter had an eyebrow raised, analyzing your behavior. You tried to ignore him.
“Yes, we’re opening the doors now.” You heard Tech reply. Right on queue, the ship's exit ramp opened.
You rushed out quickly, managing to get past Wrecker. You breathed the fresh air in. Almost out of this. Then it’s time to disappear. You still had your old Jedi cruiser hidden. Now it was time to put it to use, hopefully you didn’t get gunned down by an Imperial ship.
“Sera, wait up!” You heard Wrecker barrel down. You held your breath, hairs standing up. “How did you make that jump earlier? It was so far!” His hands made a motion to exaggerate it. “Did something explode??” He said excitedly. You didn’t think about how that logic made no sense. You only stood frozen.
“Explosives couldn’t have done that Wrecker.” Tech chimed in. “And isn’t it obvious?” He was standing at the exit door of the Havoc, looking at his data pad. “Sera is a Jedi.”

Vin’s Bad Batch Rant -ep 1
Tumblr media
Welcome to this part of Tumblr where, after I watch each BB episode, I’ll give you my detailed (yeah lmao as if) analysis and emotional ramble. SPOILERS AHEAD!! Let’s gooo (this is gonna be a long one, 70 minutes of ep!!):
First of all HOW DARE THEY. Filoniiiiii.
I was NOT expecting to start with a mission right before Order 66 are you fucking kidding me? I immediately went “Nope, not doing this.”
Look at the initial flashback of the clone wars. I was shaking, too many memories.
I haven’t watched Rebels but I know some things and I know who Caleb is. So HI Padawan Caleb, good to see you. But... wasn’t Kanan’s skin complex a bit darker?
It’s going nicely, some comedy thrown in, The Bad Batch being wholesome and just destroying clankas! Tech is growing on me.
Master Billaba why are you so disappointed omg ahah thank them immediately!?!?
Yo I fucking swear, I swear to god that when tbb was leaving and the Captain turned to receive Order 66 I jumped from the seat so fast. Like I yeeted myself so fucking far you cannot understand. Literally, fuck fuck fuck this. My anxiety and ptsd from the clone wars went 📈📈📈📈📈📈
Rip Jedi Master Billaba.
Run Caleb, just run.
(I’m so fucking glad to see The Bad Batch is immune to Order 66. Like so glad.)
Ok Crosshair and Hunter go rescue Mr Padawan there.
CROSSHAIR WHAT THE FUCK CHIILLLLL
nope nope nope this is not going well. I was wrong, I fucked up, I spoke too soon.
“Good soldiers follow orders” noooooooo
Hunter being wholesome omg, what a dad energy he has. I already love him.
Omg Hunter’s scream when Kanan jumps.
Crosshair literally chill dude, let’s all vibe together.
Also uhm... it hurts to see them all so pale. Please for the love of god fix that, it’s unsettling.
The way they return to Kamino so oblivious of what’s going on. It hurts
“Coruscant guard is here” YES SHOW ME FOX YOU COWARDS
Uhm.... Filoni can we talk for a second? Yeah I would like to ask you WHY? Y’know, was it really necessary to show the corpse of a dead Jedi and the hand with the lightsaber falling off? This scene is gonna be stuck in my mind forever. I’m crying.
Can we also talk about the music? Haunting, a masterpiece throughout the whole episode.
This is not a kid’s show.
Love that they have their own personal barrack filled with their stuff, so precious. Plus the Tooka doll, omg😩
The amount of times I’ve said “Crosshair chill” by now is over 9000. Spoiler: it gets worse.
Absolutely love the tension between Hunter and Crosshair. Live for these moments.
Tech listing the characteristics of his mates and then “my exceptional mind” LMAO brag about it.
“The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed”. “You can say that again” Wrecker OMG I wheezed. Echo’s like “bruh”. That’s what I need. Right here. God I love this.
“Still don’t think the regs are programmed?” This part made me shiver. It literally terrifies me. Also Tech is growing so much on me...
Hello Omega, nice to meet you.
“adolescent human female” Tech what the fuck it’s just a girl.😂 I love her accent and her smile! And she’s a medical assistant, love that too!!!!!!
Omega really said 😃😃👋🏼👋🏼
Here comes Tarkin ugh
Why does it hurt to see regular clones without helmet? Probably cause they all look like Fives, Kix, and the others. My heart is crying
Also, why is no one bald anymore? Guess that’s old fashioned uh... (yeah I know it’s because they want them to have no characterization whatsoever, but what’s wrong in being bald?) I miss my bald-with-crazy-tattooes- regs❤️
“Hello again” 😁😁👋🏼👋🏼 the way they look at her LMAO 😶😐😑🤔😕
Food fight, yay! (Crosshair was just trying to chill but ooop guess it’s time to fight)
EXCUSE ME?!?!?
No seriously. They really threw AZ in curing Echo’s injury??? You don’t know how much I was crying. I thought they were gonna throw a “Fives” in and I wasn’t ready at all, not now. Glad they didn’t but still... fuck me Filoni
Look at Echo’s reaction. Fuck. He’s scared as hell, probably though he was back on Skako Minor being a lab rat.
Yeah what a shocking revelation for them AZ.
Headcanon: Tarkin hates his life. He’s so bitter.
The fact that they’re being tested against real threats and guns while they have stupid toy guns it’s so fucking wrong and ridiculous.
“Five are all that remain” but Echo’s not genetically enhanced. That means... (i was putting 2 and 2 together)
Here we go with a mission... this stinks from miles away just telling you
Omega and Hunter talks, ughh the feelings
The way Omega calls softly Hunter’s name ugh I’m sold. They already have a bond “something about her I can’t figure out.” 😩😩
“I guess kids aren’t your area of expertise” Crosshair what a subtle shade😂
Crosshair was not really going to shoot at kids and elder people. Right?
Oh hello Saw, good to see ya. Always a pleasure.
GENERAL SKYWALKER AND CAPTAIN REX mention here we goooo🤪🤪🤪
This is chilling and unsettling....
Great a snitch droid or whatever the fuck that is.
*dramatic stare between Crosshair and Hunter* plus toothpick action going on
Crosshair literally stfu
And here’s Tech dropping facts. Omega’s an enhanced clone. I wonder how they made it possible for her to be a female taking Jango’s DNA but whatever, this is Star Wars.
I am legitimately pissed that Crosshair threw away the toothpick. Justice for toothpick.
Omg she found a picture of the squad😭😭😭😭😭 flashback to Rex’s picture with Echo, Fives and Cody I’m crying
Look at them walking right into the trap.
Hunter looks totally offended but c’mon, you know what you were going against.

“I know it’s not your fault. You can’t help it.” Yes I’m crying why aren’t you. The way he looks at her... I’m dead.
CT-9904. Okay... also why did they have to kick Hunter. He’s so precious, trying to defend him regardless of him being under the effect of the chip.
Oh shit oh fuck oh shit here we go. (I didn’t want to watch this part.)
Ehm, Hunter why did you have to lay down like that, you sexy beast. I’m waiting for a gifset of him like that. I’m waiting.

The amount of times Wrecker got hurt just in this episode is concerning.

Well well well. I LOVED IT. FILONI THANKS FOR THE UNWANTED FEELINGS that made me remind I’m a human capable of emotions❤️ I owe you one but I’m also hurt and also in love. Yes, there are things that did not sit really nicely with me: the obvious whitewashing, Omega being a clone of Jango (yes I was kinda expecting it but as I think through about it... makes less sense. Literally how?), but overall I enjoyed it.
Also if you wanna chat about TBB and feelings dm me or send in an ask! See ya bad bitches💕💕

Summary:
"This is treason. If they find out about this, they’ll kill us both. Why are you doing this?”
Crosshair stared at the other man for a long moment before lifting his helmet and slipping it back on. Silently, he turned back to the ray shield and pressed the button on his vambrace to turn it off before stepping through. As the shield powered back on and he made to step away, he turned back.
“I don’t know,” he said softly.
~
One year after the events of The Bad Batch, Crosshair struggles to reconcile his choice with the harsh truth of the world around him. He finds enlightenment in the most unlikely of places and realizes he may have made the wrong decision. But is it too late to do something about it?
Two years after the events of The Bad Batch, Rex reluctantly agrees to allow Hunter and his squad to help him rescue a man who's been captured by the Empire - an Imperial double agent who's cover has been blown. What Hunter thought to be a simple extraction ends up having far greater consequences for their squad than he could have ever anticipated.
Every choice comes with a consequence. Once you make a choice, you must accept responsibility. You cannot escape the consequences of your choices, whether you like them or not.”
- Roy T. Bennett
This was a horrible idea.
He knew it was a horrible idea. He didn’t need Gregor to tell him that this was clearly a trap. It was obviously a trap.
He knew something was fishy the second the coded frequency came through. It was an old one, a Republic coded signal — one commonly used amongst the clones. After R7 managed to trace it to a location, he and Gregor had been off to try and pick up the message.
The message had been to meet, alone, in an abandoned warehouse in some long forgotten town on a backwater planet on the edge of the unknown regions, an area so dangerous even the Empire hadn’t bothered to encroach upon it yet. The message wasn’t sent from any frequency he recognized or was familiar with, and R7 had trouble pinpointing it as it kept scrambling every few minutes.
Whoever it was who sent the message clearly didn’t want to be found. That combined with the fact that whoever it was wanted Rex and Rex alone to meet them near the middle of nowhere, without backup, was less than reassuring. Yes, Gregor , it was probably a trap.
He still had to check it out, just on the off chance it wasn’t.
Didn’t mean he had to listen to instructions, though.
“Do you see anything?”
Rex looked around the foliage surrounding the warehouse through the infrared scanners on his helmet, but nothing came up. Not even local wildlife.
“Negative,” Rex said, flicking off the infrared and checking to make sure his blasters’ live rounds were on and fully charged. “Alright. I’m going in.”
“If you get murdered or captured, just holler,” Gregor’s voice chuckled into his ear.
Rex rolled his eyes, but moved forward, walking slowly into the warehouse.
The first floor was open plan with crumbling pillars precariously holding the building together, the second floor collapsed in one spot near the back. The foliage from outside was creeping in through the cracks in the duracrete flooring, and the transparasteel was shattered at various places around the walls.
He found a beaten and decrepit lift abandoned near the back with a doorway leading to an emergency stairwell next to it. His scanners didn’t pick anything up on the first floor, so he moved swiftly along the perimeter wall, taking care to keep the open floor in his sights at all times.
At the stairwell he turned to point one blaster inside, glancing around and still not seeing any life forms. He backed slowly into the stairwell and as quietly as he could made his way up.
He nudged open the door leading to the second floor with his blaster. This floor wasn’t open plan, and he moved slowly down hallways, clearing rooms and keeping an eye out for that caved in floor he’d noticed from below. There was no trace of any living thing coming through these halls any time recently. Dust was undisturbed and cobwebs hung up in every corner, broken glass and decaying leaves all over the ground. He moved as silently as he could with the debris crunching under his boots.
Finally he turned the last hallway, eyes immediately zeroing in on a cracked door at the end. The tiniest bit of light was pouring through the crack, just enough to make the door stand out from the others in the darkness. He moved carefully toward it, still stopping to clear other rooms in his path before heading for the cracked door.
Taking a deep breath, he pushed the door in and quickly whipped his pistols up to point ahead of him. Besides a small torch lamp sitting on the ground in the middle, the room appeared otherwise empty.
Before he stepped inside he flipped the infrared in his HUD on once more. Standing in one of the previously darkened corners of the room was a tall armored figure leaning casually against the wall.
He stepped inside slowly, blasters pointed at the other person.
“Who are you and what do you want?”
“So it’s true… the infamous Captain Rex lives.”
Rex said nothing, just continued to point his blasters in the direction of the voice. He watched as the shadow shifted, and a familiar face stepped into the light. Rex scowled at the other man.
“Crosshair.”
“Captain,” Crosshair sneered lowly. In his hands was his standard firepuncher rifle, but it was held loosely, finger off the trigger and pointed toward the ground. “You can put the gun down.”
“You first.”
“I promise, I’m not here to hurt you.”
“I find that hard to believe,” he snorted.
Crosshair rolled his eyes. “It’s true. De-chipped and everything.”
Rex scoffed. “Yeah? I remember who you were before the inhibitor chip, Crosshair. That doesn’t exactly reassure me.”
The sniper looked at him contemplatively before shrugging.
“Fair enough.”
Rex watched as the other man slowly, keeping eye contact and telegraphing all his movements, laid the firepuncher on the ground before kicking it over. He then reached up and detached his pack, giving it and the vibroblade sheathed on his calf the same treatment. He straightened and quirked an eyebrow at Rex, toothpick moving slowly between his teeth as he chewed it.
“Good?”
Rex hesitated for half a second before holstering one blaster and bending down to pick up the vibroblade. He kicked the pack and rifle behind him and further from Crosshair’s reach. Ignoring the man’s huff and rolled eyes, he stepped forward and forced Crosshair to turn around, frisking him and detaching the utility belt from his hips.
“Satisfied?” Crosshair drawled as Rex stepped back, utility belt in hand.
Rex relaxed his arm slightly, lowering his deecee to the ground, but keeping it armed.
“What do you want, Crosshair?”
Crosshair gestured around the empty warehouse room. “To talk.”
“You know, your old squad told me what happened. How you chose to stay with the Empire.”
“Echo always did like to gossip.” Crosshair said casually.
“So why am I here?” Rex continued impatiently, ignoring the other man’s snark. “Trying to lure me out so you can turn me in to your superiors?”
“No,” Crosshair said simply, crossing his arms as he relaxed, hip cocked. “If I really wanted to do that I would have told them about your little rebel base on Yavin 4 after I discovered it two months ago.”
Rex’s eyes widened and his hands jerked back up to put Crosshair back in his sights.
“How did you—“
“You may want to tell Senator Organa to be more careful,” Crosshair sounded almost bored, like they were just discussing the weather patterns of the planet and not the safety of dozens of freed clones and rebels. Two and a half years of Rex’s work against the Empire. “He’s being watched. You’re lucky it was me and not someone else.”
Rex took a deep breath.
“Then what do you want?”
“I have a… proposition for you.”
Rex blinked.
“A proposition?”
“I know what you’re doing,” Crosshair said, fingers tapping on his elbow. “Rescuing your brothers. Helping them escape the chips… and the Empire.”
Rex laughed incredulously.
“Yeah? What, did you have a change of heart? You want me to help you now?”
“Not me,” Crosshair said quietly, reaching up to pull the toothpick from his mouth and flick it across the room. “I’m going to help you, actually.”
Rex’s eyes narrowed.
“How?”
“I can help you get the reg— the other clones out,” Crosshair grimaced at the slip, but continued. “I work directly under Vice Admiral Rampart. I have access to clones in multiple legions and multiple fleets. I can be your man on the inside. Locate clones, help them get the chips out, and help them get away from the Empire.”
“Why? I thought you hated the ‘ regs,’” Rex said, opinions on Crosshair’s thoughts clear in his tone. “What changed?”
Crosshair’s glare softened and his gaze left Rex’s, flickering to the ground.
“Let’s just say I’ve had my eyes opened.”
Whatever the kriff that meant, Rex wasn’t sure. He wasn’t sure what to make of this situation at all. The last thing he’d expected to find in this warehouse was the ex-Bad Batcher. Especially after Hunter’s explanation of what happened on Kamino a year ago. It was no surprise to Rex to hear that Crosshair thought himself above the other clones — the man had made that abundantly clear from the moment Rex met him. But to hear that he had chosen the Empire? The people who destroyed everything Crosshair knew? The people who forced him to go after his brothers, the people he knew best and spent his short life growing up with? He knew Crosshair could be prickly at the best of times, and certainly difficult to get along with, but he never could’ve imagined even a clone as cold as the sniper in front of him would willingly side with the Empire over his family .
But if Crosshair was telling the truth… Hunter made it sound as though Crosshair had worked his way up quickly in the ranks of the Empire. If Crosshair was being sincere, if he really was willing to risk treason and execution to help Rex in his quest to save as many brothers as he could, then this wasn’t an opportunity Rex could just let slip by. No matter how much he may dislike the other clone.
“Say I agree to this,” Rex said slowly, lowering his blasters. “Why should I trust anything you say?”
“You shouldn’t,” Crosshair shrugged, face and tone nonchalant. “But we have a mutual friend who insisted you’d be willing to help once we caught word that you might still be alive.”
“Mutual friend?” Rex looked at the other man pointedly. “I don’t know anyone working for the Empire that I would call a friend.”
“Well… not willingly working, at least,” Crosshair pointed out with a smirk and Rex’s hand tightened on his deecees until his gloves squeaked against the plastoid.
He’s just trying to piss you off. Focus on the bigger picture.
Faces flashed before his eyes. Cody. Bly. Appo. Boost and Sinker. Boil. The list of lost brothers he hadn’t been able to find, hadn’t been able to save goes on, much longer than the list of those he had. Had one of them been able to fight the chip? Are they trying to get out, to be free from their new slavers?
He thought of Wolffe, paranoid and raging even after the chip was removed, wracked with guilt but still thanking Rex on his knees for getting him free. He thinks of Wooley, holding him as broke down when he realized he was the only Ghost who made it out.
How many more could he save with Crosshair’s help?
“Who?”
Whatever name he’d been expecting, it wasn’t the one that left the sniper’s lips. His breath hitched as his chest tightened, his stomach somersaulting as though on a ship with faulty artificial gravity. He could hear his heart pounding furiously in his ears. All this time he thought he was the only one left, the last of their batch.
“Does the name Howzer mean anything to you?”

Order 66
Based on prompts from @clonesandmoans about Padawan Skip. Ya’ll seriously need to go check out their writing for the clone wars!!
Padawan Skip is roughly 14 maybe 15 in this one.
Length: 1533 Words.
Tumblr media
It wasn’t very often that there was a break amidst the Clone Wars or her Padawan Classes, which made this particular moment all the better. Stepping out of the Havoc Marauder and onto the soft Naboo grass, Skip took a large breath of the fresh air. The scent of flowers lingered from the wildflower patch nearby.
“I’ll be back soon!” She looked around to her Batch, all of them spread around doing their own things.
Hunter was whittling away at something, a habit Skip had learned that helped his mind focus on one thing instead of everything around him. He gave a small nod in her direction . Not far away, Tech sat typing away on a datapad. Too engrossed in his work Skip assumed he hadn’t even heard her to begin with.
Crosshair was somewhere aboard the Havoc Marauder, no doubt taking advantage of the break and Wrecker was hovering nearby the wildflower patch, studying a colorful butterfly floating around the flowers.
“Not going far are you?”
If she hadn’t felt his presence behind her, she might have reacted differently. However Skip turned around with a small smile upon her face.
She hadn’t been around Echo too much yet, the newest member had arrived whilst Skip was attending other matter’s with her master. But she was eager to learn more about the new addition.
“No, just a little ways into the woods. I want to meditate for a little bit.” Skip answered. Echo nodded along before turning his head away.
“Be careful.” Echo replied.
“I’ll be fine, what’s the worse that could happen?” Skip answered playfully, Echo rolling his eyes in response.
“You Jedi are all the same.” He retorted. “Your as carefree as General Skywalker. You could encounter a feral Tooka. They can be pretty dangerous.”
“You think there’s Tooka Cat’s out here!?” Wrecker exclaimed excitedly, catching onto their conversation.
“Not probable. Tooka Cat’s reside more so on Coruscant. There’s a sub-species on the Planet Lothal, but there hasn’t been any recordings of feral Tooka Cat’s here on Naboo.” Tech replied, his eyes still trained on the datapad.
“Skip will be fine Echo.” Hunter broke in, “We’ve taught her more then just her Jedi training provides.”
“Doesn’t mean that she always listened to our training.” Crosshair said, stepping down the ramp.
“Hey! I listened to everything!” Skip replied.
“Only because if you didn’t do it right the first time we’d make you do it again.” Crosshair said.
“And again, and again, and again. You never went easy on me!” Skip groaned.
“Enough.” Hunter said, “Go on Skip. You’ll be arguing all day with Crosshair if you don’t get going.”
Rolling her eyes Skip gave a small wave heading out into the brush, ignoring the small pit growing in her stomach.
*
Her master had other matter’s to attend to, and had offered a small mission with the Bad Batch, of course it had been easy and they had finished much sooner then intended. Instead of returning to Coruscant, her Master had ordered her to remain with the Batch until he could meet up with them for their next mission.
Naboo seemed to be a frequent pit-stop for the Clones, navigating to this spot right from the start. Skip could see how much they appreciated the peaceful planet, and despite their tough exterior they seemed to fit right in with the planet.
There was a small spot in the middle of the forest that Skip had found on the first day, a break in the tree’s letting warm sunlight cascade to the forest floor.
Settling down on the ground, Skip let her eye’s close as the reached out with the force, pulling it around her like a blanket. It was safe, and protective, taking away the pain’s and burdens of the war and it’s losses.
Time seemed to slow as she slipped into a meditative state despite the fact she knew it was passing way quicker then it felt. What felt like minutes could easily be an hour.
After a while she began to reach further with the force, sensing the creatures moving about their day, the tree’s eagerly awaiting the sun beaming down upon their leaves.
If she reached out a bit further she could sense the others signatures back in the clearing. They had moved from their spots, seeming to hover around each other within the Havoc Marauder.
Had a transmission come through from her Master?
Just as she began to unfurl the force around her, she felt an immense pain within.
Snapping her eye’s open she pressed a hand against her chest as her stomach lurched. The air in her lung’s expelled, but would not return and she gave a gasp as she reached to her bonds, pulling at the one she shared with her master.
An endless void greeted her and she pulled away quickly.
Something was wrong...something was very wrong.
Rising from her spot was hard,
Maneuvering her way back through the wood’s was harder.
Her senses were dulled, and everything was swirling, and if she could just get rid of this pain in her chest that immense weight upon it, she might have prepared herself better for what came next.
In the distance she saw someone racing through the brush, twigs snapped and broke as they ran harder.
“-ip! SKIP!” They called.
Echo? What was Echo doing out here?
“RUN!”
Straightening up, Skip tensed, hand drifting to her lightsaber attached to her belt. Something was after her batch? Her brothers?
“Echo?” She called back running forwards. “Where are the others?”
Echo collided into her, pushing her back harshly, and she nearly tumbled to the ground.
“We have to go. We have to go now!” He yelled, human hand gripping her shoulder.
“Echo, something’s wrong!” Skip said, “Where are the others!?”
Echo hung his head momentarily.
Finally the clone rose his head up, eye’s filled with tears.
“They’re coming to kill us. They’re going to kill us...They have to kill you...” Echo gasped.
She would have refuted the statement had a blaster bolt not hit the ground in-between their feet.
She turned her head, seeing the helmeted figures of the Bad Batch, gun’s raised.
Pointing at her?
“Hunter!” She pulled away from Echo’s grasp. “Hunter what’s going on.”
The Sergeant kept his gun raised, finger halted on the trigger.
“The jedi are traitor’s. You’ve betrayed us Skip.” Hunter...no not Hunter. This couldn’t be Hunter...this clone stated, voice dripping in venom.
Not even hesitating, he pulled the trigger.
A hand pulled her wrist, yanking hard around the back of a thick tree trunk.
“You’re ok! You’re fine!” Echo said. “It didn’t hit you!”
It didn’t? It certainly felt like it hit her.
“Why?” Her voice cracked as she tried to ask.
Why were her brother’s doing this?
“It’s an order...to kill all the Jedi.” Echo whispered, “I promise I’ll explain but we have to get out of her alive in order to do so.”
Skip looked to Echo, saw the pain in his eye’s. The urgency in his voice, the sound of boot’s growing closer and closer.
Skip allowed the Force to take over, her mind retreating to safety within.
*
The small transport ship that they had hijacked was launched into Hyperspace before Echo finally spoke again.
“Chips.”
Skip looked at him like he had grown too heads.
“Now is not the time to talk about chips.” She whimpered tears threatening to spill.
“No...Chip’s in our brains...like computer Chips.” Echo answered softly.
“What?”
“There are these Chips...in every Clone’s brain. They’re like a fail-safe? Maybe...either way, that’s why my brothers...our brother’s are doing what they’re doing. They don’t know any better. They cannot refuse what the chip is telling them...my batchmate...my brother found out about them. They killed him for it...I hacked into the reports when I found out he was dead. I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but now it all makes sense. One of our brother’s chips fired early, he killed a jedi...” Echo said.
“How are you not...”
“Trying to murder you?”
Skip winced-the gun raised-shot fired-
“Sorry.”
“Go on...” Skip said.
“Honestly? I can only think because of what the separatist's did, they must have damaged the chip? Maybe removed it...we should probably find someone to check on that.” Echo said.
They lapsed into a moment of silence.
Suddenly he laughed, Skip snapping her head to look at him once more.
Tear’s fell down his cheeks as he laughed.
“It’s just ironic isn’t it...all the separatist’s did was save me...save me from committing these horrible crimes...” Echo trailed off again.
“They’ll be after us...they won’t stop.” Echo said finally.
Skip twirled around in her chair. She had covered up the pain in her chest with determination as they made their daring escape, weaving through the woods, slipping into the heavily crowded Space port...the whisper’s...
-Senator Amidala is dead....
-The Republic has fallen...
Now she pushed the pain, the memories, further back. It probably wasn’t a healthy coping option...but she didn’t have a choice.
“Thankfully I picked up a thing or two about my brothers. We’ll have to outrun them.”
“It won’t be easy.” Echo whispered.
“They never made it easy.” Skip whispered softly, only loud enough for herself to hear.
