In honor of my 20th birthday, I would like to present:

The GX cast and how they react to people singing “Happy Birthday” to them

Jaden/Judai: sits there awkwardly and only makes eye contact with whoever brought out the cake

Syrus/Sho: also sitting there awkwardly, but makes eye contact with literally everyone

Chazz/Manjoume: the level of tension between everybody is extremely high. atticus is the only one singing at any volume level. deep down, the chazz loves it.

Bastion/Daichi: spaces off until they’re done and then calculates the exact amount of air needed to blow out the candles in one go

Alexis/Asuka: resists the urge to cover her ears (atticus is the one singing)

Zane/Ryo: he can’t leave, that would be rude, but he’s visibly about to bolt from the room

Atticus/Fubuki: sings along. in perfect harmony. probably has a crown on. makes sure everyone else gets cake before they do

Blair/Rei: biggest shit-eating grin ever. center of attention and she knows it.

Crowler/Cronos: literally sobbing. has never had a proper birthday celebration

Aster/Edo: basking in the attention. will sing along if prompted, but will feign modesty until told he can do otherwise

Hasselberry/Kenzan: also sobbing. big massive group hug at the end.

Adrian/Amon: not feigning modesty in the least. sitting back and taking it all in. lets other people cut the cake and serve it to him.

Axel/O’Brien: stoic the entire time. one tear rolls down his face at the end. gets tackled in hugs which he reluctantly returns

Jim: smiling with love. makes sure Shirley hears the song too

Jesse/Johan: very “aw shucks” about the situation. blows out all the candles except for one and then invites everyone else to help him blow out the last one.

Yubel: not in the room. don’t try it. do you value your intestines being inside your body?

Picture it:

Some years after graduation in their mid twenties, Chazz and Atticus get engaged.

Chazz, as much as he's thought about it, is far too awkward with feelings and emotions even still to manage a proposal. Or rather, Chazz tries to propose, but after shuddering and bumbling through dinner like a fool, Atticus laughs and takes over, reciting precisely what Chazz was going to say back to him and answering him happily that he will absolutely marry him! No questions asked!

Everyone is overjoyed for them, it's a whole thing! Alexis gives Chazz her blessing to marry her brother but totally gives him the "if you hurt my big brother, I will hunt you down. And kick your ass." talk, but she's happier fort them than anyone, after all, she's already thought of Chazz as her second brother for a long time and now it's going to he a reality!

They have a moderately sized wedding, not overwhelmingly large, but not exactly small either. All of their friends plus the entire Rhodes family are in attendance. The Princetons aren't as, well, cool as the Rhodes' plus neither Chazz nor Atticus wanted his abusers there, so they weren’t invited.

The ceremony is beautiful, so moving, many tears from the gallery and the wedding party, including the officiant, Crowler who got ordained online specifically for them

The reception is very classy of course! A beautiful ballroom overlooking the sea. Food and champagne, everybody's having a marvelous and merry time! There's toasts, speeches, and the couple shares their first dance. But sometime later in the night, they sneak off to an outside rooftop terrace kinda space just off the main ballroom to share a private moment with a few words and two glasses of champagne.

As they sip their drinks and marvel at the sight of the moon and stars reflecting on the sea, they hear music from inside, one of Atticus's favorite songs. And under the moonlight, they dance to Beyond The Sea.

I know plenty of people like to daydream about Kaiba Corporation being a cool company to work for and how Seto is a "good billionaire" who would take care of his employees

But there is a whole ass episode in GX dedicated to two men fighting to get hired by Pegasus because it's well known throughout the industry that Industrial Illusions pays their employees more and offers better benefits compared to working for an institution that is founded and owned by Seto Kaiba.

Just putting that out there.

GX Theory I never posted here:

Cronos doesn't actually specialize in dueling, he specializes in foreign language

-Clearly bilingual/trilingual -Bad at dueling -Most schools reserve foreign language for 10th graders/second years, hence why it'd make sense for their foreign language teacher to be in charge of Blue -Subbed for Alchemy, possibly because the board thought his experience teaching foreign language would help

not saying that the dad crowler propaganda got to me again i’m just saying i’m tearing up over episode 50 again 😭

Hell yeah! I have been perpetuating dad Crowler propaganda for years now and I will continue to do so! And episode 50 really helps me out because it's so good 😭 it really shows his growth in his care for the kids even just from episode 30 when we started seeing that from him, and 50 is really moving for me. Even though Chumley loses the duel and thinks he's finished because he failed, Crowler still lets him go because the whole point of the duel was to give Chumley the chance to prove himself to himself. And like Crowler says, "losing doesn't always mean failing." The duel really was one last lesson for him to teach Chumley before he left and it's just wonderful 😭

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Crowler is the best dad any of those kids ever had 😭
