Just ran into a screenshot from Twitter where somebody said, "maturing is realizing you were toxic too", with a retweet by someone else saying, "If you don't look back and cringe at your actions you probably haven't been growing."
My first thought is that there's a pretty big difference between the original tweet and the retweet: I cringe at my past words and actions like dozens of times a day but only rarely have come to characterize my own past behavior towards others as seriously toxic.
My second thought is that quotes like this both seem to play into the Younger Very Online People subcultural focus on signs of toxicness and being broken and needing fixing and so on, while simultaneously creating dissonance with the overall vibe of that same subculture: "remember, you were toxic too" seems to fly in the face of "you are valid" and "if you were in an abusive situation, nobody was at fault but the abuser" and other related ideas.
I don't actually know how I really feel about the tweets.

I know based on trends or how the characters behave, one could argue Pmatga takes place around the equivalent of the early 21st century, but given the advanced tech and stuff (And maybe like one or two dates from in-show) I鈥檇 imagine it takes place a few centuries later.
I like this thought because the idea of a bunch of really old ghosts using gen Z slang and everyone being confused amuses me.
so I wrote this drabble I鈥檓 quite ashamed of:
Ghost 1: You hear the tea?

Ghost 1: Apparently some ghost be stanning Pac-Man!
