Mr Rime's buttons blink when attacking or being attacked, his "eyes" never do, and one of the cards imply it breathes from the chest. That outfit is the actual face, it has a false head. That's why I'm posting this one out of order, it's the next spooky pokemon in line. Nothing with a false head trying to lure children to it is good. Mime Jr and Mr Mime are fine though, honestly Legends Arceus warmed me up to them. Apparently fear of clowns is near unheard of in Japan. Guess they don't have an uprising clowns every couple years, like the East Coast USA has for the past half century. Seriously, every few years for the past 60 we've had waves of people in clown costumes with machetes start appear. Rarely ends in any death, they're generally just trying to terrify people. Anyway, these clowns are here to make a fool out of wizards, so time for encounter ideas!
-Mime Jr are rascally but typically harmless, just following children around to play and harmless pranks. Lately things have been going missing from those it interacts with. (the townsfolk think it's mime jr, but it's actually a thief/monster taking advantage of the distraction) -Mr Mime are the jesters of the archfey courts. When the townspeople stopped leaving out offerings for her pixies, the jester was sent to make fools out of the town. Make this a mystery, the players have to figure it's a fey and how to contact/appease them. Or just fight the Mr Mime, but it will definitely retreat and keep coming back to harrass the town, good luck with that. And with retribution should they kill the court's jester. - Galarian Mr Mime have taken up residence in the local lake, kicking anyone more focused on ice fishing than their performance. The locals need help driving them off, either by appeasing them or attack. (bonus points- the Mr Mime becaomes a Mr Rime when they reach low health, refilling health like a Mythic Trait or a video game boss) - Mr Rime has been entertaining the village with its antics. People chalk up the frozen body appearing to yetis or winter wolves, relying on the entertainer for joy in this trying time. The Mr Rime is behind these disappearances, occasionally following the last member of its audience home to launch a cone of cold.

September Challenge Days 24, 25, & 26
So for the last 7 days of this month’s challenge, I decided to stick with the same digital-only mechanics from Magic: the Gathering that I worked in the previous week. But instead of just converting MtG cards into D&D, I decided to go a step farther and make my own spells, enemies, and items using those same mechanics. Just to sort of play around with what it might look like to use the same abilities outside of an MtG-influenced context.

I've been watching you longer than you know. Recklessly drawn to your destiny, like a flame. My beautiful Champion. There is much to fear. But not death. For it gives meaning to life.

As Kevdak's body slumps... it shrinks back down to its average size, and you crumple to the ground, smiling.

“Isn’t she so cute” -Laura to Liam

So, so curious about how the fandom came to be, and where y’all started. I’m especially interested to see which events (start of a new campaign, TLOVM, Calamity) brought in the most fans, and which campaign most people started with.
I know lots of folks start and finish campaign in between campaigns/across many years, so please mark when you started your first campaign. I’m also not necessarily asking about campaigns you’ve finished, so if you’re in-progress, just mark your primary starter campaign!

Vox Machina: Pays for passage on a ship to where they need to go.
The Mighty Nein: Improvises the massacre and theft of a ship before accidentally becoming pirates (twice).
Bell’s Hells: Voluntarily calls a ship of vengeful ghost pirates who they trade a cursed sword (that’s trying to kill a member of Vox Machina) with for passage.

Exeggcute and Exeggutor, which I really struggled to not call eggplants. Japanese eggplants actually are round and white, though not nearly as large. It seems inspired from the Japanese yokai Jinmenju, a tree with hand-leaves (palm leaves) with heads that smile and laugh. In game, they're dopey walking palms trees that fire mind blasts. Or a tree that attacks by smashing its face into the ground, that locals dare call the proper form. It's hilarious, but come on. Alolan exeggutor is fun to use simply because it can spam AOE attacks, something pretty rare. Normal exeggutor will rarely fight, pretty docile. The egg swarms are definitely useful in a fight to just do massive damage, but one of the more useful traits is just getting some distance. They form a sort of hostile terrain, like a tiny mobile wall of fire. It can either surround itself in eggs to punish anyone getting close, or lay them down like caltrops and sprint away to safety. Speaking of fighting these, encounter time! - Portals to the fey realm can mess with the plantlife around them. In this case, exeggcute who plant themselves don't sprout. They split at midnight and emerge as two more exeggcute at dawn. no problem at first, but it's quickly growing out of hand. - A cult of Demogorgon has taken to raising exeggutor. Having so many "heads" and constantly spawning more has lead them to believe it sacred, and they feel it sacrifices to enrich its diet before carrying its young out to be spread. When clearing out the temple, the last thing the party expected is a carnivorous exeggutor with swarms of hungry young. -A druid circle has raised an exeggcute into an Alolan exeggutor, who resides in grove of awakened trees. Lately the tree has turned violent however, and has commanded its entire grove to do the same. The druids ask for the party to reason with it, and if absolutely necessary bring it down. The culprit is a green dragon wyrmling, hiding in the fronds and whispering corruption to it.

September Challenge– Day 13: Infernal Pest
Another card conversion from Kaldheim, I took one look at this card and the art associated with it and thought “now that’s a perfect familiar.” I think this is actually the first time I’ve made a creature with a familiar variant though
