call me petty but i blocked over this

whenever i think about the bad batch i just get sad. it could’ve had so much potential. it could’ve fixed so many things. it could’ve fixed the whitewashing already going on in the clone wars, but instead it made it worse. it could’ve stopped the stereotypes of body types and facial features, but it didn’t. it could’ve had more expansion on characters with disabilities, such as echo, and how they live their life with their disabilities, but they just completely dismissed it and moved passed it like it was nothing. it could’ve portrayed black/poc characters, such as saw gerrera or sid, in a more positive light and show their truer intentions, but it just made them seem more violent. so many little details are so icky about it, it’s just sad. it’s sad because it had so much potential and only did more harm than good.

the characters are cool i guess and the concepts and the plot is cool but there were so many things just Wrong with it, it’s upsetting. and like… couldn’t they just have the decency to unwhitewash the characters?? it surely can’t be that hard… considering they’re a billion dollar company 😐

also on my last about Toph becoming a cop, pretty sure she was the one who created the police force right? So there’s also an argument to be made that because there probably were not police forces in the past Toph just wouldn’t have the knowledge of how corrupts the police force becomes when she made it. I’d get the “Toph becoming a cop is ooc” if the police force already existed and Toph just joined them, I’d get that point way more. But they didn’t and she was the one who made them.

and with that in mind, I think it’s perfectly in character for her! She wants to beat up bad guys, protect people, of course she’d create a force that can do that. She couldn’t have known how corrupt it would become because there wasn’t any police force in the past to look back to and see how they did.

(Again I don’t like cops, please do not misconstrue this as me defending irl cops—)

Look, I just…don’t like kids. Or maybe “don’t like” is the wrong phrasing. I feel uncomfortable around them. See, you’re allowed to like them if you want. There’s nothing wrong with that! In fact, I’m pretty sure that’s the “normal” thing to feel. I was just responsible for kids from a very young age and don’t want any of my own as a result. Why would I want to be a parent when I’ve spent most of my life being a (very poor) stand-in for other kids’ parents who didn’t want to take care of their own? Plus I just don’t think I could be emotionally available to kids the way they need and deserve. There’s more to this thought (and more reasons why I don’t want/feel uncomfortable around kids than this) but I just really needed to get this off my chest, since this rb/block kind of hurt. I thought I was past getting upset over things that happen on the internet, but this cut deep for some reason.

Ian has manic episodes and he gets really dangerous to himself and sometimes other people depends how bad it is, Erin’s the only one who knows how to keep him calm enough that he doesn’t do anything stupid but with her gone he just loses it starts borderline stalking Wendy wanting to get revenge , would’ve been willing to kill her, probably attempted on his own life several times but it wasn’t his turn to die yet so he was just stuck getting worse and worse
