Is there anything better than a dramatic hood? It feels criminal that Loki never gets one (unless you count that only-from-the-back shot that never made it into the final cut of Age of Ultron) I knew I had to give one of my designs a big Sith-like hood, and even though it was challenging to pattern it to work with the helm, it’s pretty awesome IMO.
I added a small magnet to the back of the face plate of the helm, and to the inner layer of the hood, so that it can stay on without ever looking like there’s an attachment!

This Thor concept art suit (designed by Wesley Burt for Infinity War) is so so so important to me. This look has lived rent free in my head since I saw it in the artbook.
To me, this version of Thor is a true King of Asgard, god of Thunder, and Norse warrior. The design pays homage to previous Thor suits, as well as Odin’s MCU looks. A Warrior King, a Pirate Angel, the Protector of Midgard.
Selfishly, it feels SO COOL to be one of the only people to have cosplayed this look. The first ever suit I cosplayed was Thor’s infinity war look, so it feels poetic to have this be my “best” suit, using my real hair and beard and all.

WHAT!? XD What the hell does that even mean?
I'm sorry, I just. It's not just this show; We see it in other properties like Hawkeye and Thor: Love and Thunder too. For Phase Four, Marvel's going so hard on the idea that the Marvel public are direct 1:1 Marvel Comics stans that it becomes very hard to take seriously.
Everybody in this universe is Gwenpool. Every single one. Kevin Feige lost his mind and forgot that the events of the Infinity Saga are supposed to be real historical events that these people lived through.
And. Like. Sure. AvengersCon? Cosplay competitions? Whatever. There's war re-enactments and stuff. I can accept that, especially in the years immediately following the Blip, the world was overtaken by an outpouring of gratitude that manifested in some kinda weird ways.
And references to things like America's Ass? Yeah, we've got Scott's podcast to attribute to that. It's insufficient but it's something.
But some things are just so on the nose that it's really off-putting.
Like. The point of this moment is that Zoe's presence is making Kamala feel insecure. Kamala put so much effort into her fandom, and now the pretty white girl is going to Fake Nerd, get all the attention, and steal her thunder.
But the way it manifests so literally as a 1:1 fandom moment is. It comes off like going, "Ugh, I can't believe Zoe came to this big historical re-enactment. She doesn't even LIKE the Hurricane Katrina crisis responders!"
Everybody likes the Avengers, Kamala. E-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y has some level of investment in the Blip. This is not a fandom. Some people might be less normal than others about it, but it's still just... History. You do not own the events of October 2023.
I agree with the sentiment that Kamala is trying to express but the way she expresses it makes me once again wonder whether the people in the Phase Four MCU are just watching the movies themselves.

Chapter 50: Happy birthday.
“Wanda!” Y/N laughed incredulous and the redhead shrugged.
“What are you two talking about?” Sam said, walking in with Nat.
“Nothing.” Y/N said.
“Everything.” The witch emphasized with a smirk.
“Ooh, I want to know this everything nothing…” Nat said, mirroring her smirk. Y/N felt herself grow hotter from embarrassment.
“Fine! But Sam, get out.” He pouted with a frown.
“Oh come on, it's not fair!” She pursed her lips and pointed to the door. He sighed, defeated. “Fine, but only because I don't want to fight you three at the same time.”
The three girls smiled and waited until he left to begin their gossip.
“Okay, spill the tea.” The spy said.
“Have you been learning internet lingo?” Y/N asked, not being able to process that Natasha Romanoff had just said “spill the tea”. The redhead shrugged.
“Maybe…”
“Anyways,” she shook her head. “We were talking about something... pertaining to a person… and a certain… gift…”
“For god's sake Y/N!” Wanda laughed and then turned to Nat. “She wants to impress Loki with something sexy and I said that she should wear lingerie with his helmet.”
Natasha frowned, thinking, and then, surprising Y/N, she nodded.
“Yup, that makes sense.”
“What?” Y/N asked. “I'm not gonna wear his helmet! This is not a cosplay!”
“Okay but… think about it. What does Loki love most in the world?” Y/N frowned.
“Um… snakes?”
“Y/N, be serious.”
“Okay!” She held up her hands in surrender. “Me, he loves me.” Nat smirked.
“So confident.”
“Natasha, be serious.” She mocked and the spy rolled her eyes.
“Whatever. He loves you, and what else does he love?”
“Thor?”
“No! His outfit!”
“Okay, he's not vain.” Y/N argued.
“I'm not saying he is vain, I'm saying… he's a prince, he was a prince, and his clothes were important. Especially that helmet, which serves as a crown.”
“And I am…”
“His queen.”
“His devoted queen.” Wanda added with a smirk.
“Okay, now that is a different territory.” Nat said, pursing her lips.
“Yup, I'm not discussing that with you guys. Ever.”
“Oh, come on! With who else are you going to discuss this with? Steve?” Y/N barked out a laugh and Nat giggled.
“Only for the look on his face if I ever talked to him about that!”
“Honestly, come on. We want details…”
“We don't want anything. You.” Nat said, pointing at her.
“Okay, I want the details.”
“What?” Y/N grabbed her phone and pretended to get a call. “Oh yes, that!” The two redheads rolled their eyes. “Okay, sure thing!” She continued on as she left the room.
“Terrible actress.” The spy said, shaking her head.
“Hey!” Y/N exclaimed from the hallway and made both of them laugh.

Y/N woke up to a nose brushing against her neck. She hummed in appreciation.
“Good morning my darling,”
She turned around to face him and found a smile on his face.
"Hey love..." She sighed and nuzzled her face in the crook of his neck.
He grabbed onto her waist tighter, pulling her as close to him as possible. Then, much to her annoyance, he pulled away and went to turn around to grab something from the bedside table. He then turned around again, with an almost shy smile.
"What?" She asked.
"Happy birthday my love," he said and kissed her lips sweetly.
They had talked about it, this year she was ready to celebrate this day. She was ready to enjoy it with the people she loved so much. So she smiled.
"Thank you babe, but what-"
"Here." He said as he showed her a rectangular velvet box. She pursed her lips and went to grab it, but he stretched his hand out of her reach. “Ah, ah, ah. Not yet.”
“Loki-” She began to protest but he cut her off.
“My love, my angel, my darling Y/N. I have always suspected that I was living in a thousand year dark night, that there was a light that was not shining on me. I was able to confirm that the moment I first saw you. Such angelic beauty I was not privy of for so long.”
He sat up straighter and grabbed onto her hands, his eyes shining with so much affection she felt she might pass out from all the love she felt for this man. “You are a light in this universe and all the others. You are kind and brave and stubborn as they come.” She let out a strangled chuckle. “You are my love, my life, and most importantly, you are my daylight…”
“Loki,” she sobbed as she jumped him and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck.
“Happy birthday, my darling.” He said as he hugged her back.
She pulled away just a bit to see his face and he could see tears on her cheeks.
“Loki, I love you so much. I don't know how to deal with it.” She kissed his lips and then went to pepper kisses all over his face. “I love you, I love you, I love you. I never had… I never felt so loved.”
He brushed some hairs out of her face and smiled softly at her.
“You are everything to me, Y/N. You are my heart, my courage, my strength… everything.”
“You are everything to me too, Loki. I mean it.” He grinned.
“Now… open your present.”
He didn't need to tell her twice. The velvet box had a tied up ribbon on top of it, so she untied it and opened the box slowly.
She gasped as she looked at a beautiful bracelet and then at her beautiful boyfriend.
“You are insane.” She laughed. “This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. After you of course.” She added slyly and he let out a laugh.
“Each charm is for a moment we shared together. This one is for when you lend me Romeo and Juliet. It was our first real conversation.” He said pointing to a book shaped charm. “This one is for that time we went to adopt what you now call our child.” They both smiled as she touched the cat shaped charm.
“It was our first hug…” She said and they both smiled softly.
“And this one is for us… being a family of two.” He said shyly, pointing to the last charm that had two little people on it.
Y/N touched the charm and closed her eyes.
“Darling?” He asked, frowning with worry.
“Hm?”
“Are you alright?” She heard his beautiful voice, full of concern, and opened her eyes letting a few tears fall from them.
“Im… okay. So much better than okay.” She said, sniffling. “I… Loki…”
There was something in the way she was looking at him, in the way her eyes were full of happiness and sorrow at the same time. There was something hanging in the air; an epiphany perhaps. An epiphany of how much they loved each other, how unkind life had been with them before, how kind it was now. Something told him that she couldn't put it into words, all that love, all that pain. But it was there, he was sure of it. So he gave her the same look with a soft smile, grabbed her hands and said:
“I know.”

“No one forget the balloons or I swear to god!” Tony said dramatically. He had bought heart shaped Taylor Swift balloons for Y/Ns party and he was hellbent on no one forgetting to showcase how good of a parent he was.
“We wouldn't dare Tony.” Natasha said, rolling her eyes.
The rest of the group was organizing the room, while Loki distracted Y/N.

“Loki, I'm hungry.” Loki sighed.
“Well, my love, I'll go grab you something.”
“Okay…” She answered innocently.
Little did they know, they both were planning something for the other.

“How is everything here? Y/N seems to be getting impatient.”
“What are you doing here and not distracting her?” Tony asked, alarmed.
“She wanted something to eat, am I supposed to starve her too?” Loki asked sarcastically.
Tony didn't answer, instead choosing to roll his eyes.
“In a few minutes bring her down. We are almost ready.”

In her room, Y/N looked at herself in her mirror. She had decided to take Wanda's advice and wear some green lingerie while on her head sat Loki's horned helmet. She could do this, it was just Loki.

Loki was so concentrated on not dropping the tray with food that he didn't even notice Y/N was not on her bed anymore. That was until he set the tray on her nightstand and called for her.
“One second!” Her sweet voice called.
He was about to ask if she was alright, when she opened the door slowly and walked out wearing a black silk robe with his helmet on and smiling seductively.
He swallowed.
“L-Love, what-”
“Hush darling, just… enjoy.”
Slowly, she opened the robe and revealed a set of green and gold lingerie, which made Loki's heart almost leap out of his chest.
Yes, they had had sex before, but she never did this, they never tried to spice things up. But this… this was more than spicing things up. This was Y/N giving herself to Loki in a way that she had never given herself to anyone. This was an offering. An offering to him.
He only realized he was looking at her like an idiot when she frowned and began covering herself up.
“Are you… Do you not like it?” She asked, suddenly insecure.
He widened his eyes.
“Darling, this is…” He got closer to her and began caressing her arms and getting rid of what was left of the robe. “This- you. You are simply stunning. But I don’t understand why.”
“I wanted to give you a gift.” He laughed.
“On your birthday?”
“Well yes. I thought this gift we could both enjoy…” She began smiling seductively once again and he almost threw her on the bed and took her right then and there. But there was one problem.
“I- I would love nothing more than to ravish you right this second…”
“But…” She looked disappointed.
“But, unfortunately, this will have to wait. We have to go.”
“Where? We’re only having dinner with the team in a while.”
“Well… yes. Dinner is ready.”
“So early?” She asked, confused.
“Yes, they didn’t want any mission interrupting your special dinner so they made it early.”
“Oh.” She frowned. “Alright. I, uh, I’ll take this off.”
“No!” He exclaimed quickly. She turned around. “How about you leave this under your clothes, a little preview of what will happen later.” He started to get closer to her, with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
She smirked and got even closer, pressing both their chests together.
“Mmm yeah? You think you’ll be able to control yourself?” She asked him as she innocently lowered her hand and palmed his groin. He growled and grabbed her face, pulling her in for a deep kiss.
When it started to get heated, he pulled away. She pouted and he felt the urge to bite that puckering lip and make her his, as he had done many nights before.
“I think that…” He traced his index and middle finger over her breasts. “If I find it too hard we’ll just have to make an excuse and leave early hm?”
She smirked.
“I guess we will.”

“What are we having for dinner?” Loki looked at Y/N and smiled, amused. They were currently in the elevator, heading to the dining room, where the surprise party was being held.
“Think of your favorite food in the world…” She began dreaming of every single thing that she loved when he popped her bubble. “Well, not that.”
“You're mean.” She pouted.
“You love me.” Y/N rolled her eyes.
“Eh,” she said but she couldn't contain herself from wrapping her arms around his neck and covering his cheek with kisses as he laughed heartily.
The elevator doors opened with a ring and she headed for the dining room. When she reached the big doors that led her there, she looked behind her to see a very silent Loki. She frowned.
“Are you okay Lokes?” He looked at her and smiled softly.
“Yes, I just want you to have the perfect day.”
Y/Ns heart swelled at that and she gave him the softest look she could muster.
“Loki, I woke up next to you and we got to spend the whole day together, I don't know what could be more perfect than that.”
He smiled at her and grabbed her face with his hands to give her a kiss full of gratitude. They both smiled into the kiss like idiots, and before it got too heated Loki broke it off.
“Now, come on. Let's go have dinner with your family.”
“Our family.” She corrected him and he had to swallow the lump in his throat. It was so nice to hear that and to know that it was true.
He gave Y/N one last smile before she opened the doors and was greeted with a loud “SURPRISE!” coming from everyone on the team.
“Oh my god!” She put her hands over her mouth in shock. “Oh my god! Are those Taylor Swift balloons and are you Taylor Swift?” She asked, making everyone else laugh.
“Yes, they are and yes, we are.” Tony said, proud of himself.
Y/N laughed and began looking around. Everyone was here, including Strange and Sigyn. The whole family together for her birthday. She was just expecting a normal dinner, perhaps a cake, but not all this. The place was decorated with balloons and glitter and a huge “Happy Birthday” sign in purple and pink. They were all dressed as a different Taylor Swift. Most men, except for Thor who now had his long hair back, were wearing a blonde wig. Y/N felt her heart grow ten times bigger at the sight of her beautiful family.
“I know we told you a million times today…” Nat went to hug her. “But happy birthday Y/N/N. We love you.”
Y/N hugged her tightly and closed her eyes. She didn't want to cry, yet she wouldn't be able to contain it for much longer.
“Thank you Natty, I love you too. A lot.” She smiled and pulled away. “And you guys… Thank you. I love all of you, this is amazing.” She finished, a bit choked up.
“Save the tears for later, we have more coming.” Tony said coming closer to her. “Happy birthday kid,” he lowered his voice so only she could hear, “even though you're definitely not a kid anymore, you'll still always be my kid… the same one who stumbled into that meeting room that first day.”
“Tony…” She began crying. “How do you expect me not to cry?”
“I don't mind you crying out of emotion, but I want it to be because of something I said.”
She let out a laugh as everyone rolled their eyes playfully.
And just like that, the party began.

“Remember when you came crying to me because you saw Loki eating a toast?” Natasha asked, amused. Everyone else burst out laughing in confusion.
“What? Why?” Clint asked. Y/N bit her lip, embarrassed.
“I was just really excited to see him. Like, he was my favorite character and one day i’m watching him on TV and then the next he’s eating a toast right in front of me.”
“I did not know me eating toast could be such an important moment to you.” Loki told her playfully and she bumped his shoulders with hers.
“Hey! Leave me alone, I was a fan!” She smirked and lowered her voice. “And now I get to sleep next to you… or under.” He swallowed thickly.
“What are you two talking about?” Tony asked.
“Absolutely nothing.” Loki responded, perhaps too quickly, making everyone laugh at his nervousness around Tony still; he was the father of the love of his life after all, what was he supposed to do? Tell him that they were whispering about sleeping together? That would go very smoothly.
“Oh! Remember that time that you put purple dye in Caps shampoo and for two weeks he had to look like a teen pop star?” Tony asked, enjoying the look on Steve's face.
“Remember when Nat made us watch that video of you watching Bambi for the first time?” Cap asked, pleased with himself due to Tony’s reaction.
“Hey! I thought you rocked the look Cap, truly.” And that’s when everyone started talking over the other and trying to swap embarrassing stories about the other. And so that’s when Y/N began getting lost in her own thoughts.
For such a long time, she hated her birthday; even before the accident, even before everything. It was just a reminder that she wasn’t who she wanted to be, that time was ticking, that she was alone. So every birthday she cried, and every birthday she made the same wish as she blew out the candles all alone in her dimly lit kitchen. I just want to not be alone anymore.
Thors boisterous laugh brought her back to reality. She looked at him, then she looked at Clint, who was wrestling Pietro on the couch while the other in question laughed and tried to push him away. She looked at Wanda and Vision holding hands, talking to Nat and Bucky. She watched as Sam got up to get himself a drink and brought Steve one, as he conversed with the others and laughed. She saw Tony arguing with Bruce over some science thing, probably. Even though she wasn’t listening, she could almost hear Tony’s sarcasm and Bruce’s calm voice, disagreeing with him. She saw every single one of them. She saw her family, all together for her. And suddenly she realized she was seeing her wish come true.
A small pang of guilt hit her when she realized that she hadn’t thought of her other family at all. Even though it may not have been the best family, she still loved and missed them. She wondered if they were watching over her. If they were, she wondered if they would’ve been mad that she had seemingly replaced them. But mostly, she wondered if they were okay.
So when the time to blow out the candles came and everyone was expectant around her, waiting for her to make a wish, perhaps a wish pertaining to something material, a new Taylor Swift album or new clothes, she closed her eyes and wished for one thing only, for them to be okay.

Have you ever gone to a fan convention (Comic Con, Anime Expo, G-Fest, Conbravo, etc) and cosplayed as one of your favorite characters?

There was this one time back in early 2020, somewhere around February I think? (Cause I got to wear my costume for Halloween in 2019 before this) When my local library was going to have this whole event that was going to give the actual feel of comic con. People were going to dress up as their favorite heroes, we were going to watch Avengers infinity war and Avengers endgame and we were also going to have some people talk about comics and the future about them and other stuff.
But sadly it was cancelled because of the pandemic. I was really excited to go to the event before and I was going to even wear my Spider-man homemade suit (the one that Peter made in the homecoming movie). it was a costume I actually got to make and put together myself, along with some help from my family of course. I had to get all the parts for it online separately and I had to glue some material on my goggles for it as well, and did a lot of sewing for the gloves and mask too (though my family helped me with the sewing parts, cause idk how to sew lol). I even made the web shooters myself with some help.
It came out really cool in the end once it was done, it even looked exactly like the official homemade suit in the movie.
But hey, on the bright side I did get to wear it for Halloween for two years in a row, including this year too. A lot of people really liked it a lot and i'm really proud of how it came out.
It's one of my favorite Halloween costumes to wear because of how cool and awesome it looks

everything you said about Captain Britain on my post on my sideblog, I 100 FUCKING PERCENT AGREE!!!
It also bothered the hell out of me in the first episode of Ms. Marvel that at Avengercon, no one was dressed in Sam’s Cap suit?? And there was nothing to do with him at all?? Like that had ALL that Avenger’s merch/meet-n-greets with cosplayers/signs up and everything but yet they couldn’t do ANYTHING for Sam?? REALLY??
Like, if Ms Marvel is set somewhere in 2024 and Sam became Cap in May of 2023, then there would be plenty of time for people to be fans of Sam! You’d think people would be fans of Sam as Falcon for years anyways (cause he was a Avenger whereas Bucky wasn’t even one and people forget that)! His suit is cool as hell, why wouldn’t people want to cosplay it and have fun with it?? But Marvel Studios THEMSELVES continue to ignore Sam’s presence and importance while they continue to hype of a lady who we all watched literally die in a movie that came out 8 years ago…
The battle to get people and the MCU themselves to care about Sam and recognize his importance is just exhausting… I just can’t wait for Anthony to bring in a stellar performance that knocks everyone’s socks off in Cap4 and hopefully it gets some people to see how incredible he is. It’s sad too that he has to prove himself to the these people when he’s being proving how amazing he is for the past 8 years ugh.
SKY I WAS JUST ABOUT TO SEND YOU AN ASK ABOUT THAT POST BC YOU SAID EVERYTHING I WAS THINKING JUST IN A MUCH MORE WELL-SPOKEN AND WELL-PUT WAY!! Seriously that post was SPOT ON, and it is so infuriating (although not surprising) that this is still a conversation that needs to be had.
I forgot to mention Avengers-Con from Ms. Marvel in my rant but yes!! There was even merch for Groot?? GROOT who was on earth for how many mins in Infinity War and then how many minutes in endgame?? When Sam has been saving earth for YEARS. SAM SHOULD HAVE HAD HIS OWN MERCH/COSPLAYERS/ETC THERE!!!
And looking back at Sam’s time as Falcon, he was involved in the community a lot, both for his time in the VA and as an Avenger. He would have easily been a household name just like Captain America and Iron Man. So you KNOW that people in the MCU definitely looked up to him as their hero, admired him, and created merch for him. Yet we, the audience, don’t see that because they don’t show us anything about Sam. Unless I’m mistaken, we have not gotten a single mention of Sam since TFATWS. Even with Kate Bishop, Peter Parker, and Kamala Khan all being massive fans of the Avengers, there’s still no mention of Sam??
And yet, we get to see Captain Carter. We get to see promotions for her. And we don’t get that for Sam, who is actually Captain America!!! The racism both in the fandom and at marvel is apparent and appalling. Anthony has been fantastic since day 1 and somehow has managed to improve an already stellar performance?? He’s incredible!! He’ll absolutely knock Cap4 out of the park. But marvel and the fandom refuses to acknowledge that SAM IS CAPTAIN AMERICA. It’s so frustrating. Anthony deserves better. Sam deserves better.

summary: y/n got a bit too drunk at an avengers premiere and said some regrettable things to her ex tom.

a/n: y’all have no idea how much confidence this song brings me. so I just had to make a fic about it.. let me know if I should make a part two about 👀
It was finally the premiere of the new avengers film, infinity war. I was currently getting ready in the bathroom of my hotel room. Touching up the last bits of my makeup. Making sure there wasn't any smudges or blank spots. I soon finished up and walked out the bathroom whilst turning the bathroom light off.
I then walked over to my bedside table to check if I had everything in my purse. Like my wallet, chapstick, phone etc. After checking everything I made my way out of the room and went downstairs to the lobby. I saw that my driver was awaiting for me at the main door. I walked over to him and gave him a light smile. He looked back and returned a smile.
"Good Evening. I must say you look astonishing tonight miss y/n". He said with a soft tone. "Why thank you Lewis". I say back giving out a small grin. We then headed out to the car where he held the door open for me and let me inside first. I thanked him once again.
On the way to theatre I was messaging a few of my fellow cast mates saying how excited I was to see them all again. Especially since it's been a few months since I last saw them all. But I had to admit, I was really nervous to see one particular person.
Tom.
Tom and I had a messy breakup. I went to go visit him while he was filming in another country. I planned for it to be a surprise. But it turns out I suprised him at the wrong time. Tom was in a stressful mood due to work. Which I could understand. But it caused him to take it out all on me. When then made me take my anger out on him since I was exhausted from the long flight. I left in a hurry after our argument. We haven’t really spoken since then.
Before I even knew it, we arrived. I must’ve been so caught up in all my thoughts to even realise that we were already there. Once I looked at my window, all I could see was a bunch of flashes from the cameras of the paparazzi. Who were already taking pictures of the others. It honestly all felt like a dream.
I was about to open my door until Lewis opened it for me. I nodded a smile at him and stepped out. I could feel the sudden breeze hit my bare skin, sending goosebumps all up my arm. All I could hear was the clicks of cameras and the fans screaming and shouting everyone's name. It made me feel so welcomed and proud. It felt like I was...home, in a sense.
As I elegantly walk my way down to the red carpet I took some pictures and signed a few things for my fans. I made sure that I took time to appreciate all the fans that were cosplaying my character. Admiring each and every detail of their outfit. I just found it to be so surreal.
Hearing all their nice compliments made me smile. Some comments were about how I was doing after the breakup with Tom, I tried answering the best I could. Even though I could feel the ache in my heart when Tom's name was mentioned. But at least the majority of the other comments were just about how excited I was for the movie.
After catching up with my fans I walked over to the red carpet to get a few pictures taken by the paparazzi. Trying my best to keep a nice smile and give them all of my good angles. I took a few front pictures and then took some with my head looking over my shoulder. A few minutes later Scarlett came rushing up to me.
"Y/N!!". I hear Scarlett yell at me to my left. I look over and see her quickly walking over to me whilst trying not to trip over her long beautiful dress. My whole face lit up when we both embraced each other in a tight hug. It felt nice to be in the arms of one my closest friends on set again.
"You look so hot girl!". I say while letting go of Scarlett. "Naww girl you look stunning as hell!". Scarlett said back while gesturing her hands in an up and down motion at me. I gave a huge grin back. We both then took some photos together, posing and smiling for the paparazzi.
After I finished up taking some pictures with Scarjo, I was heading into the theatre to grab a seat but I was suddenly stopped by someone grabbing my arm. I turn around to see it was Chris Hemsworth. I smiled big and greeted him.
"Chris!! hey". I say with the biggest smile on my face. He embraced me with a tight squeeze. "Hey humbug, you look absolutely stunning tonight".
I blush lightly at his compliment. Humbug was a nickname he gave to me while on set a few years ago. He thought of it when he heard me humming lyrics to my favourite song in between scenes.
After catching up with Chris I finally enter the theatre and sat down in my assigned seat. I sat in between of Scarlett and Mark Ruffalo. Tom (Hiddleston) was seated next to Chris whom was also sitting besides Mark. I was just greatful that I didn’t have to be seated next to Tom.
As a few minutes passed by and more and more people assembled into the theatre. Taking their seats and getting ready for the movie to start.
Before the movie started a presenter walked out on stage and called the cast up. I waited for my name to be called while cheeing loud for my fellow cast mates. Once my name was called, I stood up and walked up on stage. Waving and smiling back at the audience.
After the presenter introduced everyone and RDJ (Robert Downey Junior) said a few things about the cast and movie, then we all sat back down and watched the movie.
A couple of hours passed and the movie was finished. The fan's reaction to the movie was so incredible to witness. Even some fans got up and out of their seat for some of the exciting scenes. Which I thought was absolutely spectacular. Especially with not really knowing how much a movie could bring such excitement and joy to people’s lives.
Robert was holding a mini private after party for the cast. I thought I would go since it wasn't too late and it would be good to have some fun with the others again. So I made my way over to Robert's penthouse with Scarlett and Elizabeth. We played some music on the way there to boost our energy up so we could have a good time and just be ourselves by letting loose.
Once we arrived we headed in and went straight over to get some drinks. Scarlett and Elizabeth soon parted ways with me to go off to start conversations with the others which left me alone at the drinks table. I didn’t really mind though. It left me to drink away my problems in peace at least.
As I was drinking away my conscious, I didn't realise that Tom came up to me. I look up to lock eyes with his light glistening blue eyes. Oh how I’ve missed staring into them.
"oh. hi tom". I say with a bit of nervousness. He looked back at me with a concerned look. "might want to slow down the drinking there love". he said while taking away the alcohol from my hands. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach increase by hundreds after hearing him just speak. Though he looked really good tonight, I was still pissed at him for not fighting for our relationship.
I glared back at him. "no, i'm good". I say back with a bit of an attitude and walked away with another drink in my hands. I could tell it made Tom a tad mad on how I decided to ignore him.
The feeling of his eyes burning into the back of my head, gave me such a confident boost knowing that he had no control over me anymore.
The night went on, I found even more alcohol to consume which made me become very intoxicated. I tried at all costs to try and avoid Tom for the rest of the night. But it was all until Chris H gathered us all together to do some karaoke. Which I was totally down for. I even volunteered to go first, because I knew exactly what I was going to do.
I wobbled my way up to front of everyone and grabbed a microphone. "GoOD eVening EvEryoNe, tOnIghT i'Ll be SingIng a SonG thAt is dEDicAtEd To a spEcIal soMeone... mR tOm HiDdLeStOn!!". I said with a few slurred words. Everyone started to lightly clap with a confused face while looking over at Tom. Tom was just as confused as everyone else.

The song then started to play.

I could hear some whoop whoops in my little audience which brung a wide smirk to my face.
The damage is done, moving on if I'm ready or not
I slowly made my way over to Tom. Not breaking any eye contact between us both.

There was about a centimetre between us now.

I whispered into his ear. Then moved away back to the front of everyone.

Everyone was in disbelief at this point. Not believing at what I was singing. I soon made my way over to everyone around the room. Smiling and singing to them. When I reached my hand out over to Paul he started dancing and singing along with me. Tom couldn't believe what was happening anymore.

I practically scream at him. I then get off him and danced around to the front again. At this point everyone joined in and was cheering and dancing along. Enjoying the performance I was giving them.

As soon as the song ended everyone stood up and cheered, besides Tom. He was still sitting in his seat in disbelief. Still completely confused on what he just witnessed. Suddenly I hit the floor with a crash. Blackness slowly started to fill my eyes.
I woke up with a huge pounding headache. Not even knowing where I was. Until I opened my eyes completely to see that I was in a familiar bedroom.
Oh no. I could recognise this room anywhere.
It turns out I was in Tom's bedroom, and in his bed.

Nova Vita - I finally finished this 10-episode show. It ended on a cliffhanger that was only mildly interesting and I was rather relieved when it ended. It was worth it to watch Thomas Beaudoin and I've certainly watched worse for my fellas. He was the best part of the show and perhaps the most believable. I might have a better appreciation for the fake wife as I do a skimming sort of re-watch, mostly to do screenshots of Thomas. I don't think I'll ever care about the mourning wife. I don't think I can recommend this show to anyone but I wouldn't mind hearing what others might have to say about it, especially if they don't have a reason to watch like I did...

Ahsoka - Another well done episode this past week. I recognize the actor playing Young Ahsoka as the one who played Young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War! See, I pay attention. Even though I am enjoying this show very much, I think my understanding of the show has depended too much on watching the re-cap shows after the episodes. I don't have the same emotional investment as the fans of Rebels or Clone Wars and the show hasn't really done enough to bring me in. It's a delicate balance but if I feel like this, what more for the even more casual fans?

Apple announced the iPhone 15 lineup. Of course, the iPhone 15 Pro Max is THE iPhone to get if you want the best camera of the bunch. No, I'm not getting the iPhone 15 Pro Max (though if I were in the market, the 256 GB version would be my choice) but I'll get to touch one in a week since R is upgrading his phone. I'll feel some tech envy and then I'll have to remind myself that I'm cosplaying a tech reviewer type by being a Captain 2 Phones. Spoiled, I know.

supporting my All Blacks
The Rugby World Cup is in its second weekend. The All Blacks lost their first match but they won against Namibia on Friday, 71-3. Bonus points! I'm pretty determined to wear an All Blacks jersey on the days they play. So far it looks like they're playing on Fridays during round play, so good for me as I can get away with wearing sports wear on casual Fridays at work. Plus the superintendent is a rugby fan, so he might not mind so much. GO ALL BLACKS!!!

I got a new desk printer/scanner combo to replace my former printer and scanner this week. Maybe I'm a nerd (no, no maybe, I am) but I was excited to get the new piece of equipment even though my printer had been with me for eight years or so. It was so dependable but my scanner was less dependable. My new printer/scanner seems like a great printer (and mini copier) but the scanner scans ever so slightly crooked. How can I fix that?! I don't know but it's going to annoy me, especially if I have to edit the scans for some reason. But I can't complain too much. It's a great update that feels like a good turn of happenstance.

the dependable former printer
Whilst scrolling through a friend's FB, I happened upon a post that made me stop. The sentiment expressed utterly disappointed me but it also infuriated me. I was glad to see that no one had liked that particular post nor commented on it. Perhaps we're all too civilized to counter the post's words. Go us?
As a daughter of union workers and a union worker myself, I wholeheartedly support of unions. Unions are an important element of the working force, bringing us fair wages and benefits. Anyone who says they're pro-union but says they hate unions in their profession in the next breath doesn't understand what a union is or perhaps thinks they above people who work in unions. It's likely a combination of both but in this case I think it's the latter. I'm not going to say that all unions are good because I worked in one that I suppose did its job but allowed the department to reclassify us, which meant more money for the workers but also more money to the unions and works that the department could shuffle more easily than before.
If you can work in a job that doesn't need union protections, good for you. Truly. Please don't act like you're better than someone who does work that depends on union benefits because you can somehow get inconvenienced, likely during negotiations. If it's part of your job to deal with such things, suck it up and get it done. But don't act like you support unions when in reality, you do not. You can't purport to support unions if you're going to say you hate it in your profession. Maybe you're in the wrong line of work if something you'd normally support turns into something you hate because of your profession.
As I consider this more, I think I must say that not only did that friend's post infuriate me, it offended me. But you know what, they won't care or they'll try to say something like, "I didn't mean it that way." Well, I took it that way and nothing can really change my opinion about it. I'm tired of making excuses for other people, for giving them the benefit of the doubt. I've done this for too long and maybe it's time for other people to do it...

Threads (@kiari) - I think I'm still enjoying this one the most, of the new places. I know it's still in early days and I should be happy we have web access now but I wish that hashtags worked there. I saw a post arguing that hashtags aren't needed but I feel like that random poster doesn't understand hashtags at all...
Bluesky (@kiari.com) - I've been getting invites codes every week, which means I can share them with my friends. I also like Bluesky but it needs more people posting random stuff. I want my friends to post more there!
Spoutible (@valerie) - This one is probably evolving the best and the conversations there are thoughtful and fun in turns. Some people are still so serious and this is the place that likes to act like they're better than the other places (and yes, in many ways they are) but too many people also seem to judge the other places and the people who post there...
I try to post everyday (well, every weekday) to all three places and I do still post my Wordles to the place formerly known as Twitter. I'm not going to deactivate or delete my twitter account because I don't want someone to take my handle and use it for nefarious purposes. After all, it's a longstanding account. If Twitter burns, my handle will go with it. Until then, I'll post those Wordles and not much else...
