Wally West: so are you two dating?
Dick Grayson: oh. No, we’re just friends
Wally: huh. On a completely unrelated note, what did your dad call your mom?
Dick: Murhi dragostia?
Aqua Charming: yes, my love?
Dick:
Wally: don’t ever try to lie to me again

Round 1 Poll 1
Who is the most failgirl?
For Helene:
- Her author hates her. Leo Tolstoy does his best to make her seem evil and mean and catty but she’s really just a woman written by a man who thinks he knows everything - She helps out with the Abduction of Natalie Rostova and that plan absolutely flops but it wasn’t her fault so she’s still a queen - Tries to seduce Natasha both on behalf of Anatole and on behalf of herself and it works (for both of them) - Her husband um. Hates her and threw a marble table at her once because “she’s cheating on him” but really she’s being sexualized by her father and brother AND her brother’s best friend and Pierre is just sad that she isn’t “truly” in love with him even though she probably had to marry him for her family because he has lots of money. Not her fault. - She tries to join Christianity but sort of fails? Because Pierre won’t respond to her letter (he’s being held prisoner at war at the moment) she can’t get a legal divorce and so she sadly decides to just od and she DIES
For Maria:
dances with the most cringefail guy of all time for like two minutes and is immediately head over heels ride or die in love. also in the 2021 film the first thing she says to him is literally just "you're tall" which is admittedly true and also admittedly somehow works but i think that's just bc tony is just as cringefail as she is. cringe4cringe.

Round 2 F Match 1
Propaganda under the cut
the Ball
i want to punch anatole kuragin for ruining everything but DAMN if he can't woo people with his voice jfc.
it's just so catchy!!! and it kind of has a waltzy tempo which is always good.
also the orchestra is pretty! it's honestly one of my favourite songs from great comet. <3
a Boy Like That/I Have a Love
One of musical theatre's most iconic duets.
Full of emotion and drama and amazing Bernstein music.

Thinking about Jamie Campbell Bower will make a good Anatole and Christine Allado as Sonya if there's a west end production of The Great Comet
