Was just thinking about the amount of animals Obi-Wan interacts with compared to literally everyone else and in the Clone Wars episode where Kamino gets attacked he literally gets saved twice by the same ray-like animal and just...

The growth from judging Qui-Gon for the 'pathetic lifeforms' he picks up to whatever he has going on during the Clone Wars era. He must have gotten that from Qui-Gon though, right?

And because it's my brain and it's rotting with all the star wars stuff I am consuming I was thinking of Obi-Wan saving all these creatures and the 212th having to deal with that. Surely they made one of the rooms pet proof in case one of them needs a new home. There also have to be clones who love that because of course Obi-Wan can't really take care of rescues on top of all his duties.

After the first few times this happens Cody learns to order animal food and other necessities. And if the Republic doesn't fulfill these requests or asks too many questions he'll just have to make sure to organize them on planet during the campaigns.

Cody:I've noted that all clones with mutations are a little on the feral side. Yes, that means you kid stop looking at me like that. Well, Rex was no exception as a cadet. My batch and I were sparring one day after lessons, and I was watching a group of CTs picking on this little blonde kid. I stepped in, scared the little shits off, and went to help the blond kid out, but wanna know what the little shit did? He fucking bit me,darted to the rafters and hid up there for five minutes

Falls:Oh my stars, he still does that! He hates the med bay, so he used to run and hide in the up high areas of the ship INCLUDING THE DAMNED VENTS. Till I started to guilt trip him into staying

I know I've been complaining about this a lot recently and I'm sorry about that, but it's become really frustrating for this to happen when I'm... not even reading a fic about Anakin. Like sure whatever you don't like him but the kinds of things I see people have characters say... Congrats! You hate Anakin more than you like these side characters you seem to only have included to have them shit talk Anakin (and often woobify Obi-Wan). At this point you are being more insulting to those characters than to Anakin himself.

wip wednesday

Kenobi looks a mess when Cody steps inside. He slides the door shut after him, wanting to give them that tiny bit of privacy even when he probably shouldn’t. But Kenobi will probably want updates on what happened while he was unconscious – the closed door to Kenobi’s private medbay is only as scandalous as the two of them being alone in a meeting room together.

“Cody,” Kenobi says, and Cody tries not to focus on the way Kenobi’s mouth goes lax for a moment as tension leaves him and fondness shades his expression. “You’re well?”

“I didn’t get myself blown up,” Cody tells him, trying to sound stern. His voice dips into concern at the end, which makes Kenobi frown. Cody draws up a chair to sit beside him, busying himself with his datapad to give him a five second excuse to not look at Kenobi’s face and to try and wrangle the overwhelming relief at seeing him alive that is roaring away in his chest. “I’m well.”

That’s a lie – or it was, before Cody could lay his own eyes on Kenobi and know he’s still alive after the last stunt that he pulled. Cody reigns in the urge to reprimand him for it, because it had gotten an entire platoon out of danger, and that’s where Kenobi’s priorities are – where they’ll always be, if he can choose. Cody only wishes that he put his own health and safety anywhere as near the top of the list.

I’ve decided to post all of the progress here as well, not just on instagram. Some people have asked to be tagged once I post some progress, but I can’t remember who they were. So if you wanna see future progress, let me know and I’ll tag you!

This one may not look too different from the previous one, but nothing really turned out the way I intended to.

The colors, the textures, the focus, the sounds, the camera, everything just seems so off, and oh boy the animation… this is the result of rushing and not knowing what I’m doing, just inserting keyframes, tweaking the graph editor and hoping for the best. So maybe signing up for this project wasn’t a great idea after all lol. Plus the datapad’s not even fully textured, you can literally see where I started adding details on the front, then for some reason I just left off lol

One thing I’ll definitely work on in the future is the menu itself, because if this project is for a graphic design thesis, then I might as well try to make the only thing that has something to do with it look more presentable. I’ll definitely be changing up the fonts, and I have some other ideas for the background as well.

But for now, I’ll move on to the remaining 5 character menu animations. Originally there were gonna be 5, not 7. At first I was randomly picking out the characters I wanted to make one for, then I realized, it’d probably be best, if each squad got one animation. The 501st gets Rex, the 212th gets Cody, the CG gets Fox, the 104th gets Wolffe, and the 241st gets Tukk. CF99 got Hunter but I really wanted to make one for Tech as well, since modeling and texturing him took the longest 💀

Once all of that’s done, I can finally move on to animating the trailer video. Which I’m terrified of, but oh well lol

Hello guys!

Okay so I started to embrioder some clone helmets, because I thought it would be funny (it's not, I can't feel my fingers) so I wanted to show you the ones I done with.

So these are the 501st boys. I'm currently working on Kix.

I wanted to ask for help, I already did other ones and planned others as well. I have around 30 men I guess? And I'm a little nervous about leaving someone out so, I will write it down who's helmet I have in mind, and if you have others in mind please write it down in the comments. It will help my work a lot.

So I have:

501st: Rex, Echo, Fives, Kix, Jesse, Hardcase, Tup, Dogma, Appo, 501st trooper helmet

212nd: Cody, Waxer, Boil

Omega Squad: Atin, Darman, Fi, Niner

Delta Squad: Boss, Sev, Scorch, Fixer

The Bad Batch: Hunter, Crosshair, Echo, Wrecker, Tech, Omega (one of her hat kinda thing)

Others: Fox, Mayday, Howzer, Shiny helmet, Gregor

do you have any favorite fic recs that are fox/coruscant guard centered? there are a couple i've found that are really good but a lot of the fox tag is him in a more minor role with the focus on like cody or rex or jedi etc

Yeah i have a few! Here are some that i keep rereading - I'm putting them under the cut!

Politicians In My Eyes by jaigeye

Fox looks down at his armor, awash with blood. There are no identifying marks on him anymore. He's as red as Coruscant

Not even two days later, Fox revised his opinion. This wasn’t a disaster. This was a Grade-A, first order, fresh off the hot plate fuckfest. Fox’s day had gone something like this: lay in bed. Get up. Knock back some of the sludge in the mess masquerading as caf. Go through forms. Fill out forms. Bust open a closet in which the Senators for Uyter and Kinyen had both managed to get “stuck” in. Go through more forms. Fill out more forms. Get called up to the Senate dome to tell a Senator that no, the Guard did not address noise complaints. Find that the stack of datapads on his desk had somehow tripled over the last two hours. Despair at the state of his inbox. Etcetera, etcetera. And then.

The way it happens is simple: at some point during your service in the Guard, you’ll lose time. The thing wiping the Guards’ memories gets sloppy and Fox remembers the order not to let Fives leave the surface alive. It changes everything and nothing at all.

Life During Wartime by chermit

Commander Fox has a lot on his plate: managing his Corries, filling out piles of forms, dealing with obnoxious Senators, and not thinking about the way he keeps waking up covered in other people's blood. All that considered, he really doesn't have time to deal with being investigated by the Captain of the 501st and the Head of the Jedi Order for two separate murders he (probably) didn't (want to) commit. But Fox is a soldier, and good soldiers follow orders, so when does he ever get what he wants?

Commander Fox's Guide to Touring Coruscant by kakashikrazy256

The painkiller he had been giving just half an hour prior is still working fine, leaving him relatively...alright. Nothing hurts particularly bad, but there’s a fuzziness layered over everything, making it hard to think too hard on anything beyond the first thoughts running through his head. Go inside. Find the rest. Sit down. Drink. Don’t say anything stupid. Don’t get caught. And...and just be there to properly enjoy the company of his brothers. Don’t forget these memories. / Fox gets injured but decides to keep it secret for the sake of his batchmates. For the prompt 'is that a bloodstain?!'

After the death of ARC Trooper Fives, an altercation at 79's leads Wolffe to spend his leave snooping around the Coruscant Guard. Fox assumes he'll drop it and leave the Corries to their fate; it's what everyone else has done. He is very, very wrong.

The Last Reason by meerlicht

Cody has a scar now, and it’s the only thing that differentiates him from Fox appearance-wise. For one, they both have the same circles under their eyes. Fox assumes that’s what comes with being a Commander. Their hands are the same, too, damaged and bruised at all times. But the biggest difference Fox sees when he looks at Cody isn’t the scar. It’s the rage. Cody doesn’t wear that same rage. Fox’s hands ache with the need to punch something. Or: Fox dealing with Senators, little brothers, the terrifying ordeal of asking for help and a menace called Quinlan Vos.

Clone wars hc

Been lurking on tumblr for a bit (while) and decided to throw my own clone wars hc cause the hyperfixation be hyper fixated (sorry for any spelling errors).

Kit Fisto and Obi-Wan are bffs - They both lose their robes and seem to flirt with anything that walks. meaning they have get togethers and give each other flirting advice.

Jocasta Nu and Admrial Yularen are BAMF, and are severly underrated. you don't get away with hurting someone they care about unpunished.

Rex's first thought of ashoka was "that's a child" followed by "that's a child on a battle field" and then "that's a child on a battle field with no clothes, what the kark".

One of the shinies from Monnk's battalion definitely asked Fisto (while high on pain meds) if he lactates and monnk and fisto lost their shit and couldn't stop laughing for 5 min straight.

Kix (and other medics by default) have tranq/hypo guns for any vode or jedi that try to leave med bay when on bed rest.

Fox and Amidala gossip and constantly talks shit about Palpatine

Kit Fisto Smile Supremacy, this man win's best smile, it never fails to cheer someone up.

Rex definitely twirls his guns before putting them in his holsters when he's done using them

Bly is obviously in love with Aayla, and he tries to hide it (and fails miserably) but he's so respectful about loving her and swooning, that Quinlan couldn't even give him a shovel talk.

the clones were absolutely baffled when they met the jedi's

Wolffe and Fox are twins, they might be at each others throats 90% of the time, but if you talk shit about the one of them, the other won't hesitate to beat your ass.

Monnk says the most off handed shit in a dead pan tone (ex. Monnk: well I'm not gonna live, laugh, love this. Fisto, laughing his ass off: I-I'm Sorry? Monnk: I'm just saying this is gonna be a bitch)

Plo Koon is Plo Buir, He's at least adopted the Wolf Pack and Ashoka

the 501st and Ashoka are siblings

Grey adopted Caleb Dume

The Iron Battalion/13th battalion took one look at Cal and immediately adopted him

Ponds isn't dead (cause fuck canon), he found Boba before his schemes could go off and made him a deal, He helps Boba plan the assassination attempts on Windu (he trust his general won't die, but he gave him more headaches) so there's no casualties, but slowly the attempts stop and now Boba just lives in the 91st venator's vents.

The first time Cody picked up Obi-Wan's lightsaber he thought it was so cool, and now he just wants to glue the damn thing into his hand

Hound spoils Grizzer, he absolutely adores the massif

Jesse make sure Kix is actually taking care of himself, and make sure he's not over working (and when necessary, he uses a hypo to make sure Kix sleeps, cause Kix will hold that over his head and pay him back for it)

Fox and Thorn are opposites but they are really close

The corrie guard has a list of all the good and bad senators

The most forms that Monnk and Cody (and occasionally Ponds) fill out are forms for more robes

Cody's name is Kote (but goes by Cody cause so many nat borns mispronounce it) and Obi-Wan randomly asked if that was his name, and Cody was just utterly shocked

After Umbara, Fox say a very traumatized trooper (it's Dogma) who is facing shitty consequences for doing the right thing and adopts him into the guard

After Kix woke up from his stasis and found artoo's (again, fuck canon) he would stay up on nights he couldn't sleep and watch videos of him and his vode from artoo's memory bank

Clones using their Jedi's lightsaber - Cody using Kenobi's lightsaber after he loses it for the millionth time, Rex using it to back ventress away from ashoka, Fox finding quinlan's in a dumpster (with quinlan in said dumpster)

Hound let's grizzer purposely tackle people when he can easily apprehend them because it's funny or because whoever he's chasing pissed him off and he's petty

Yoda is the ultimate menace (like srs palpitine hates his ass, but yoda -and everyone else- hates him even more)

Yoda still keeps in touch with Rys, Jek, and Thire (mainly Thire) after the treaty or smth

The Corrie found Quinlan Vos in a dumpster and now he won't stop bugging them (expecially Fox)

Fox is a walking encyclopedia of every republic laws, you do one minor thing wrong and he can quote every law you broke, word to word

A trooper (let's call him Sharks) from Fisto and Monnk's battalion can just get a group of sharks to gather around, at every planet, every time, without fail

Plo's disappointed dad sigh can make a separatist army fold into defeat

Kenobi absolutely loathes caf, he hates it with a passion

Each high ranking clone officer has to deal with something of their jedi - Cody has to deal with Kenobi flirting with seperatist and losing his lightsaber, Rex has to deal with his general constantly crashing ships, his batshit crazy plans and his general continuously using the force to throw him, Monnk has to deal with his general randomly "shedding" clothes, and all the clones have to deal with their generals and commanders not wearing armor (Except for Jaro Tapal, HE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO WEARS ARMOR)

Corrie Guard can sleep standing up, very useful when guarding in the pods during senate meetings

The nice Senators (mainly Chuichi, Amidala, and Organa) and Vos very often get things for the Coruscant Guards, and whenever the guard see's the gifts they are baffled and bamboozled

Rex called dibs on Domino squad after the moon mission

Echo and Fives without hesitation took Tup and Dogma under their wing

Fives, Hardcase and Jesse started a prank war in the 501st that accidently evolved into a GAR wide prank war (with Coruscant being neutral ground, cause the guard doesn't need to deal with that shit, doesn't mean they don't help out)

Fox holds ALL the blackmail, and has multiple informants in every battalion, plus he has the power to withhold caf shipments

Fox also regularly reads his batchmates mission reports to mae sure their ok

The Corrie guard accidently adopted a stray tooka and a loth cat, now they're the guards emotional support animals

Rex keeps complaining about his brothers flirting with their jedi's that he didn't even realized that he third wheeled between Anakin and Padme that he joined their relationship

every mothers or fathers day without fail, shaak ti and plo koon always gets presents and gifts from their children (troopers and cadets.... and ashoka)

Coric is Kix's Ori'vod, he didn't admit it at first but Kix grew on him and well medics stay togeth

Coric purposely avoided being CMO of the 501st because they are hellions, Kix wanted to strangle him after he realized what being CMO of the 501st meant

Rex was on the 212th with Cody when Anakin was still a padawan

Rex hates evals, natural blonde plus Kamino is a recipe for hell. Also he was shocked at Skywalker being nonchalant about his hair, Anakin just though it made him cooler

That's all I have for now, if you see any you've seen before my bad, I honestly just typed the first that came to mind and kinda spiraled from there. I'm just now starting to interact with tumblr, so I might upload more and maybe even some art if I can stay focused long enough.

Yk what kills me about this. Obi-Wan really had every right to be just as angry at the clones as Kanan did. Yes he was older and he didn’t witness his master being murdered in front of him BY THE CLONES ANYWAY, but he lost literally every single one of his friends on the Council (aside from Yoda) to Order 66 and Palpatine. Order 66 almost killed him too. He heard Cody asking for confirmation of his death almost immediately after getting shot down. He had to kill members of the 501st just to survive Coruscant and change the signal being broadcasted out of the temple. And then he sees a clone for the first time in 10 years. The face that he first fought in the rain all those years ago on Kamino. The face of his Commander. The face of Anakin’s Captain. The face of every single clone that he’d fought side by side with for an entire war, the faces that he knew killed the closest people he had to a family. And what does Obi-Wan do? He does not ignore him, he does not show any signs of bitterness nor resentment. He gives him money. Maybe in doing so he silently thanks every single clone that ever died for him, maybe he sees a bit of himself in an old beaten down veteran who was once the face of goodness and hope and everything the Old Republic stood for, scavenging in the streets and just trying to survive. Perhaps for Obi-Wan, it’s getting to say goodbye to the friends he maybe never really knew why he lost. Or maybe it really was just Obi-Wan, for the billionth time, being so selfless and kind when almost nobody in his shoes could have done the same.

As far as shower ideas go, I was not expecting to come up with an AU where Anakin Skywalker adopts a tubie after the Battle of Kamino because the Kaminoans were going to decommission the kid for losing a limb in the chaos of all the fighting.

Of course it wasn’t planned for, it’s just one of those things that happen too quickly too fast and while normally Anakin would be outraged at the practice of decommissioning (because that was supposed to have been banned), he uses his smarts by talking to Kix first.

“Can you fake a death report?”

“….. Depends…. Sir.”

“Okay cool, I’ll take that as a yes. I need you to mark this tubie as KIA.”

“E-Excuse me?! General, I can’t just—“

“Kix, I know, I know. But I overheard the longnecks talking about this little guy, and they want to decommission him.”

“You had me at longnecks.”

With a flick of a stylus, Kix marks the tubie off the records, thus allowing Anakin to just take the baby and sneak him off Kamino. Echo and Fives help with “requisitioning” some of the clothing and supplies needed ‘cause that stuff got damaged during the battle who’s gonna notice a few extra missing.

Rex, upon seeing a sleeping tubie strapped to his general’s chest, gets an instant migraine and comms Cody, who then decides that’s none of his problem but then sends Rex “How to Care for Younglings” guides because they’re going to need all the help they can get.

Obi-Wan, after the initial shock, is not surprised but he’s definitely not happy about it because now that baby is not just Anakin’s responsibility, it’s now his too, because apparently Anakin decided to introduce him as “Uncle” Obi-Wan. (They’re gonna have a great time explaining this to the Council.) Ashoka is on the side grinning wildly because new baby nephew? brother? She is all for the ensuing chaos.

The tubie, who gets named Widget, pretty much immediately becomes an honorary member of Torrent Company. They make a rotation chart on who gets to hold him while the General is busy (which in all honesty Anakin probably keeps Widget on him like they’re glued so Torrent takes what they can get).

When they return to Coruscant, Anakin takes Widget to Padmé the first chance he gets. He has some explaining to do but this is honestly one of the least hair-brained things he’s done in a while (coughcough). Padmé and Widget become smitten with each other anyway.

I’m just basically imagining Anakin carrying this cute big-eyed baby with him everywhere and just radiating happy young parent energy. He can’t take Widget all the time on the venator, but boy does he go the extra mile to sneak him onboard just to have extra quality time (with help from Ashoka of course ‘cause she’s determined to be the cool aunt). And it’s just, Widget is his son, and Anakin is his dad. Even though Widget has to be left at the Temple creche (I bet that arrangement was a doozy) every time while the 501st are on campaign, Anakin calls any chance he gets to check up on him.

This is definitely a fix-it AU, by the way. Even though there are still attachment issues involved, Widget changes the course of Anakin’s fate for the better.

Somehow I always write more than I mean to, and there’s still so many things and details I didn’t write down but I think I wrote out the gist of it. Anyway, Anakin with baby.

I can't believe it's taken me THIS LONG to realize why Slick's whole speech feels weird and not explored enough. You're not SUPPOSED to believe him, any more than you're supposed to believe Anakin when he starts parroting Palpatine's propaganda back at Obi-Wan in Revenge of the Sith.

Slick doesn't ACTUALLY believe the clones are slaves or that the Jedi are keeping them enslaved. And even if he does genuinely believe that, it's not why he did the things he did.

Slick saying "I struck a blow for all clones" is just his version of "I have brought peace, justice, and security to my new empire." It's bullshit. Saying "It's the Jedi who keep my brothers enslaved" is just as reasonable as "I should've known the Jedi were plotting to take over" or "From my point of view the Jedi are evil." It's pure bullshit.

They're all EXCUSES to try to distract from the fact that they actually BETRAYED everybody and have done something unforgivably selfish that led to the deaths of many innocent people who once cared for them. Slick says he struck a blow FOR all clones, but what he actually did was strike a blow AGAINST the clones. Hundreds of the 501st and 212th died because of Ventress's ambush, and probably hundreds more died afterwards as a consequence of the destroyed armory.

And nobody buys it! Obi-Wan doesn't buy it when Anakin tries to blame the Jedi for his own choices, and neither Cody nor Rex buy it when Slick tries to blame the Jedi for his own choices. THAT'S why the show never follows up on this, THAT'S why we never hear them discuss the clones as if they were slaves again even in arcs where it would make a lot of sense to bring that back (Umbara and Zyggeria in particular). You're not supposed to see it as a genuine criticism that should be taken seriously. The writers expected everyone watching to understand that it was bullshit from an untrustworthy character who would say whatever he thought he had to in order to excuse his selfish actions.

THIS is why using Slick's comment as irrefutable proof that you're intended to see the clones as slaves and the Jedi as their enslavers doesn't work. The Jedi aren't evil or plotting to take over just because Anakin says they are to excuse their genocide. Similarly, the Jedi are not enslavers just because Slick says they are to excuse his betrayal that led to a lot of deaths (and would've led to MORE if the Jedi in question here hadn't managed to come up with an escape plan to get as many people out as possible). You aren't supposed to trust Slick, so his comments aren't proof of the writers' intentions.

The whole thing is still unfinished tbh, needs a lot of polishing, but i'd say i did a somewhat decent job considering i only had ONE FUCJJJVKDKKUD WEEK to finish all of them

The two pieces i truly did not enjoy making as you can probably already tell just by looking at it... The Corries weren't even my idea, i shouldn't even have done it, it turned out awful lol (Fox at least, Thorn ain't THAT bad lmao)

The two remaining clones will be Gregor and Vaughn, but there's no way i'm gonna start even sketching them any time soon... i need a fucking break bruh lmao

The 212th would never be her men, but they were closer than Ahsoka had anticipated. Most factions made particularly strong binds with their jedi and held them.

Ahsoka had worked with plenty of other factions of clones. She knew the dance. Toeing the like of proper commander and friend. Reaching out to the clones between the social obligations of their respective ranks.

But other than the Wolffe pack, who where definite outliers, No one reached back the way her own men did. Letting the ranks and titles fall away as the battles ended and their shifts came to an end. Comradery blossoming in the short hours of relaxation before they retired for their night cycle.

But Ahsoka had been staying with the 212th off and on for some time now. And as proper as Cody generally was in his adherence to social protocol, the lower-ranking troopers had been spending too much time with their brothers in the 501st and had picked up "unsavory habits" such as addressing Ahsoka by her name when she was off duty. *shocked gasp.*

So there was a warmth she'd managed to build up with them. A brother of a brother is a brother all the same. So maybe they weren't her men precisely but they were her friends.

And that was fine. Sufficient. Usually.

But this camp was so damn cold. The wind constantly racing between the tents rattling the canvas and her teeth with it.

She couldn't simply arrange her sleep schedule around Obi-Wan's to use him for warmth. Partially because she suspected that he never slept.

But she couldn't find any rest on her own either.

This would never be a problem in a camp of her own men. She could find any member of Torrent and use them for a heater. Her adopted brothers were well aware of her sleeping schedule and had all become accustomed to the plethora of odd habits she had surrounding the ritual of sleep.

But these weren't her direct brothers. These were brothers once removed. And Ahsoka just didn't feel comfortable extending that sort of vulnerability to every member of the GAR.

So she gave up of sleep. Maybe if she meditated deeply enough she could sustain herself with the force like an old master.

It was with a try as much as anything.

She trudged out of her tent, Obi-wan's hooded robe wrapped tightly around her. She found a small contingent of clones gathered around a fire. They all jumped to their feet as she passed, but she waved them off as she slipped into the war tent instead, running from the but if the wind.

Cody and his tactical team occupied the space, not speaking, only working at separate stations, quiet and fluid. A perfect environment for Ahsoka to meditate in.

She sat cross-legged on the cot-turned bench seat that Cody occupied. Her knee brushing his hip as she dropped her head and closed her eyes. The quiet rythme of their movements lulled her into a peaceful meditation.

The cold still pricked her skin, the occasional mild shiver pulling her back from the spiritual ether. But Ahsoka ignored it, determined to find the energy recovery she needed from within the force. Her eyes remaining stubbornly shut.

As she continued to concentrate and fight her subtle shivers, Cody took pity on her, easing his body closer to hers until her back was tucked under his arm, partially into his chest.

It was a quiet decision, no words between them. But the familiarity of the move made her smile. It was something her brothers would have done.

Soon her consciousness was sucked away by the inviting heat of Cody's body. And despite her intention to avoid cuddling with any of the men here, Ahsoka was quickly sleeping reclined into Cody's chest while he continued to do his work with one hand.

Perhaps it was a but silly to think Cody wasn't a close brother but he'd always maintained a professional distance.

One that melted away as her aching sleepy body found rest against him.
