“Your lips, against mine. Boom. Kiss” Prompt with Jesse
word count: 3.1k
summary: At this point, Jesse is willing to try any cheesy pick up line in the hopes you’ll reciprocate his feelings.
tags: plenty of bad pick up lines, a make out session and discussions surrounding relationships/friends with benefits situations
! some small details might not be canon compliant (oops) !
Tumblr media
“Ok, ok, ok, I got another one”.
At this point, you don’t even need to turn around, already well aware of who’s approaching you. After all, this is his fourth time coming over, wandering from his section of the Resolute’s training facility to yours.
“Aren’t you supposed to be learning some disarming techniques?” you sigh, having overheard some of the other 501st troopers talking about it upon entering.
Jesse shrugs in response “Yeah, I think I know what I’m doing when it comes to disarming clankers”. Crossing his arms, he leans on the table you’re working at, watching you methodically clean the blaster you were just practising with.
“So… you wanna hear it?” he asks, wiggling his eyebrows at you.
You know he won’t leave until you say yes. It’s as if Jesse takes pleasure in pestering you with terrible pick up lines, something you’re sure is a joke among him and some of his brothers.
There was a point in which you wondered if he was serious and genuinely trying to flirt with you but you were quick to brush off that idea, knowing Jesse is a man who prefers to simply have some fun when he can.
“Fine,” you huff in feigned annoyance, putting down the blaster and giving Jesse your full attention. He gulps, your bored expression making his hands clammy.
“Ok but this is one Fives told me,” he warns “so if it’s bad, you can’t blame me”.
You reply in the form of a raised eyebrow, waiting for him to just spit it out already.
Kriff, do you even know how intimidating you look like this? Jesse is sure you do and that you’re doing it on purpose, a hard lump forming in his throat the longer you stare at him. A mixture of excitement and apprehension tugs at his gut, his adrenaline urging him to say his secondhand pick up line.
Clearing his throat, Jesse puts on his best smouldering look “Hey, I’m the Azure Angel but you might know me best as the General’s ship”.
Without thinking, you crease your brow, confusion clouding your train of thought. Azure Angel? As in Anakin’s starfighter, the one he somehow destroyed months ago? Though, knowing the General, it’s safe to presume he probably crashed it.
Keeping his expression as charming as he can, Jesse continues “And I was wondering, can I crash at your place tonight?”.
Oh.
Your expression doesn’t falter. “Right… well, that’s definitely a new one” you slowly nod your head, trying your best to digest his flirting skills.
Honestly, you’ve seen better from Jesse. In fact right at the beginning of his escapade to sweep you off your feet, he actually made you blush with his provocative flirting style.
He started out hot and heavy, using his filthiest yet downright lustrous pick up lines back then but you never gave in… and now the poor trooper is scraping the bottom of the barrel, using any cheesy pick up line in the hopes of wooing you.
It’s not that you don’t want to be with Jesse. It’s the opposite actually. If you were sure that Jesse is into you then you’d reciprocate his feelings, but that’s the problem, you’re not sure.
There’s still a piece of you that wonders if this is a game, some kind of bet he has with the others. Or what if Jesse only wants some kind of one night stand? Or a ‘friends with benefits’ kind of predicament, something with no strings attached?
Being completely honest with yourself, you don’t think you could fall into a no strings attached arrangement, not when you already feel so connected to him. Yes, you’ve convinced yourself that having no romantic relationship with Jesse is better than one where you get too attached to him. It’s the most logical option… right?
Jesse sighs, bringing you out of your thoughts  “Yeah, it’s a bad one… but not mine! That one is all Fives”. You try not to smile at his urgency to deflect the terrible pick up line, knowing that Jesse would have taken full credit for it if you instead showed any sign of liking it.
“Oh so I should be continuing this conversation with Fives?” you tease, suddenly perking up “Since it’s his pick up line?”. Straightening your posture, you glance over at the other troopers.
It’s not a surprise when you see a group of them staring back, the usual bunch, all suddenly looking at the floor or ceiling the second they see you peer over.
“What?” Jesse’s eyes go wide, his gaze following yours “Why? I thought you didn’t like it?”.
You shrug, keeping your eyes on the others as you blatantly lie “It’s pretty witty… it makes sense that you got that one from Fives, he’s always been the funny one”.
“I can be funny,” Jesse instantly blurts out, not even registering the words himself as he continues “definitely more funny than Fives”.
At the mention of his name, Fives looks over. Although you know he’s trying his best to be subtle, he gives Jesse two thumbs up and a big grin. All Jesse gives him in return is a scowl, which leads to Fives quickly looking away again and whispering something to Echo as he shuffles to the back of the crowd and out of sight.
“Yep, definitely the funny one,” you repeat, trying to contain your smile when you see Jesse clench his jaw “but I wouldn’t say he’s the charming one”. As much as you love to tease Jesse, you don’t want to overdo it.
“Charming one?” at the sliver of hope you give him, Jesse’s face lights up, his attention solely focused on you as he continues “Who’s the charming one?”.
“Can’t say” you continue to tease him, not bothering to hide your smirk anymore.
“Why not?” he smiles, leaning closer to you “is it because you’re looking at him? Huh? You getting all shy now?”.
Damn this man. Shrugging again, you look away from him and back at the blaster in front of you. “You are!” He exclaims, moving his head down to get a better look at your face “Aw, are you getting flustered in front of the man of your dreams?”.
You involuntarily laugh at that, finding the amount of confidence this one man can have utterly shocking at times. Jesse chuckles too, revelling in the fact he can make you laugh.
He opens his mouth to speak again but before he can get the words out, someone calls out his name. “Jesse!” you both look over, slightly grimacing when you see an annoyed Captain Rex has appeared “Over here, now”.
“Duty calls,” Jesse sighs, standing up straight at the order from his Captain “see you later?”.
You decide to stay vague “We’ll see”.
Jesse smiles at your ambiguity, appreciating how you like to keep him on his toes. With one last nod, he turns and jogs back to the others. You glance over your shoulder as he does, a tight yet strangely pleasant feeling in your chest. Damn his charm… and his nice butt.
***
Later turns out to be two rotations, which feels too long for you. You hoped you’d run into Jesse a few hours after your previous interaction or perhaps in the mesh hall early the next morning. But unfortunately, since you both have busy schedules, it takes two very long rotations for your paths to cross again.
You’re not sure what time it is, too early for any trooper to be waking up but too late for you to get a proper night’s sleep. Despite feeling more at home practising your fighting skills or strategizing the Republic’s next battle plan, you spent the rotation filling out an array of paperwork which has kept you busy well into the night.
Since a good night’s sleep is out of the question, you’ve found yourself in the mesh hall, devouring either last night’s dinner or an early serving of this morning’s breakfast. Your internal clock is haywire, unable to decipher which timely meal this is supposed to be.
“There is no way you’re eating that” just as you spoon another heap of food into your mouth, Jesse comes into view, watching in awe. With your mouth full, all you can give in response is a questioning look, your eyebrows coming together as you tilt your head up at him.
“Mesh’la, you should be wined and dined in the snobbiest restaurants of Coruscant,” he flatters you, planting both of his hands on the table as he clambers into the seat across from you “not forced to live on rations bars and whatever gruel that is”.
Once you swallow the so-called gruel, you reply “And do you have the credits to take me to some fancy, high and mighty Coruscant restaurant?”.
Despite it being (presumably) the middle of the night, Jesse’s smile radiates a burst of energy. “Oh so when you imagine yourself at some nice restaurant, you picture me there with you? …And me paying?!”. He scoffs after adding in that last question, pretending to be baffled.
You roll your eyes, too busy taking another bite of the food to reply.
Resting his head in his hands, Jesse watches you with content fascination. “Actually, do you know what’s always on the menu at those fancy restaurants?” he asks, his smile unwavering.
For a moment, you think, unsure whether this is some ploy or if Jesse is being serious. Giving in, you walk right into his trap “What?”.
“Me ‘n you” he replies with a wink.
Dammit. Luckily for Jesse, you’re too tired to make a big deal out of it, the long rotation finally catching up with you. With your eyelids feeling heavy, your face says it all.
Jesse chuckles at your reaction, deciding to push his luck as he asks “Was that a good one?”.
With the shake of your head, you reply “Just as cheesy as the rest”.
Surprisingly, this seems to be a revelation for Jesse. Running his hand along that pristine jawline of his, he questions “They’re… cheesy? All of them? Cause I’m pretty sure I used a few smooth ones at the start of all of this”.
Finishing the rest of your food, you stifle a laugh “What, do the ladies at 79’s not tell you how cheesy your flirting is?”.
He replies with an amused scoff “I don’t think they care to be honest”.
Taking in this new yet frustratingly vague intel, you involuntarily lean forward “And what’s that supposed to mean?”.
Never one to miss an opportunity, Jesse leans forward too, not close enough to invade your personal space but enough for you to notice his 5 o’clock shadow and the way his eyes study you. “I’ll tell you…” he trails off for dramatic effect “if you leave me walk you back to your quarters”.
You roll your eyes at the request but accept it nonetheless “Fine but if you think you’re entering my quarters then you have another thing coming” .
Practically jumping up from the table, Jesse offers you his hand. “That’s fine by me, just an escort back to your room and nothing more” he confirms. Grabbing the empty container you were eating out of with one hand, you use the other to accept Jesse’s act of chivalry.
Jesse waits until you’ve binned the container and are walking down the quiet corridors of the ship before elaborating on what he said earlier.
Noticing your expectant look, he begins “Alright, alright… I just meant that at 79’s, the ladies are usually there for a reason, y’know? I don’t think a lot of them would be spending their night at a clone bar if it wasn’t for the cheap drinks and some quick fun”.
He keeps his eyes on the corridor, only sparing you a glance. While Jesse tends to act like topics such as this are his forte, he’s never had to discuss this with someone he’s attracted to. It makes his chest tighten, the same question whirling around his brain as he tries to decipher whether he’s explained it in a fair way or if he’s coming across like an arrogant jackass.
Your lack of response doesn’t help, his worries only intensifying when you don’t quip back a teasing reply. The only noise is his footsteps in sync with yours, getting closer and closer to your quarters. Jesse opens his mouth, about to ramble on a bit more but thankfully, you speak.
“I don’t get it,” you admit, the door to your quarters coming into view, just a few more paces away “why do you flirt with me when you can go have as much ‘quick fun’ as you want while on Coruscant?”.
Jesse immediately raises his hand to stop you from saying anymore, his feet coming to a halt as he clarifies “Hold on, I’ve never said I wanted to have some quick fun with you”.
No way.
Oh kriff, this can’t be happening. Is he really denying it? At this point, you presumed that fact was a given, even if he never said those words exactly. Though you try to hide your expression, your face drops, his words hurting you in a way you didn’t realise was possible.
Your shift in mood makes Jesse’s heart almost lurch out of his chest. “No! No I didn’t mean it like that,” he hurriedly states, placing a hand on your shoulder so you turn to face him fully “Well, actually I did mean it but not in the way you think, just please, hear me out”.
You stay quiet, reluctantly meeting his gaze. “I don’t want quick fun with you… or well, that’s not how I imagined us,” he explains, his eyes never leaving yours as he continues “I thought we would have some long term, committed fun. Well, that’s if I can ever convince you with any of my cheesy pick up lines”.
Feeling too vulnerable with his confession, Jesse tries his best to lighten the mood with that last part, hoping to deflect some of the attention back onto his supposed cheesy flirting skills.
With the inklings of a smile gracing your lips, you quietly ask “You got anymore of those pick up lines?”. The look in your eyes tells Jesse all he needs to know, a subtle shyness gleaming in your pupils, sprinkled with hope and anticipation.
“I’m sure I can think up another one,” he says confidently while his brain scrambles for a pick up line. Not wanting to waste any time and potentially lose this moment, Jesse says the first thing he thinks of; “Your lips, against mine. Boom. Kiss”.
You smile in response, taking your time as you consider the suggestion his pick up line so blatantly alludes to. “Straight to the point,” you comment “I like it”.
Certain this is too good to be true, Jesse’s eyebrows momentarily quirk upwards as he replies “You mean it?”.
Although there is little space between you and Jesse as it is, you take a half step forward, closing the gap between your two bodies. “I think it’s your best one yet” you confirm, a buzz of satisfaction emulating through you when Jesse’s eyes flick to your lips.
Looking for one last sense of approval, his gaze meets yours again, searching your eyes for the same lust that fills his own. Angling your head upwards, you bring your lips close enough for Jesse to understand your intentions but too far away to initiate the kiss. Though you’re positive Jesse wants the same thing, you want him to make the final move.
You can feel his breath turn shallow, as though the anticipation is too much. With his eyes fluttering shut, Jesse closes the gap, tentatively pressing his lips to yours as he tests the waters.
Everything in Jesse's head is telling him not to do this, that doing such a vulnerable act in an open corridor where anyone could see is a bad idea. And yet it feels so right, a dam of emotion bursting within him as you gently bring your hand up to cup his face, his stubble coarse beneath your fingertips.
In one bold move, Jesse loops his arm around your waist and takes determined strides towards the door to your quarters. You move backwards, trying to match his pace while simultaneously keeping your lips locked on to his. You keep moving backwards, only stopping when the corridor wall presses against your back. Yet even at that, you both continue to move though it’s now in smaller, more shuffled paces as you reach your door.
Jesse hungrily captures your lips in long, hard kisses, urgency lacing each kiss. Slowly, his hands begin to move from your waist, trailing up and down your sides without touching any part of you that’s too intimate.
Keeping one hand by his cheek, you use your other to quickly punch in the security number for your quarters, not even looking down at the command panel as you do.
Waiting for the door to open, you eagerly deepen the kiss, tongue gliding against his lips. With the same amount of eagerness, Jesse opens his mouth to you, bringing his hand up to hold the back of your head as his tongue glides against yours.
When the door opens, you step backwards again and into your room. You expect Jesse to follow, to keep his tight grip on you and continue your fiery kiss… but instead he simply leans into the room, his feet never leaving the corridor as his hands slip away from your body.
As his lips leave yours, it takes you a second to realise he’s not following you, a surprised pout forming on your face. Jesse smiles instantly, a flame of passion burning brightly in his chest when he sees your cute expression.
“Just an escort back to your room and nothing more,” he repeats, echoing his promise from before “that was the deal”.
“Jesse” you groan, slipping your hand into his and playfully tugging.
He chuckles, cherishing the action. “Next time, huh?” he says, pulling you in close to him one last time “cause I’m not in this for some quick fun, y’hear? You’re not getting in my pants that easily”.
You join in on his laughter, giving him a quick kiss on the jawline and making no attempt to unwrap yourself from his embrace. Lowering his head to your ear, he mumbles “Go on, get some sleep”.
Reluctantly, you break away from Jesse, knowing he’s right. “Fine,” you sigh, stepping deeper into your room “see you later?”.
His relaxed grin quickly turns into a smirk as he replies “We’ll see”. That earns another eye roll from you, though it doesn’t hide the smitten look on your face. And with that, your door slides shut.
Leaving out a satisfied sigh, you walk to your bunk and sit on the edge, adrenaline coursing through you. With a fond shake of your head, you damn Jesse once more, knowing full well he’s got you wrapped around his pinky.

"Are you sure?" you ask, looking at him curiously. Jesse smiles at you and nods.
"Come on, it'll be fun!" he assures you. "Hmm... Okay. I haven’t been ice skating since forever," you agree.
An hour later, you are standing in front of a frozen lake.
It is surrounded by trees and some mountains. The tops of the mountains and the trees are white from the snow, just as the ground and the ice. Here and there, little colors of green, brown or gray shine through. Even though the sun is shining, the air is cold, and your breath comes out of your mouths in small clouds. Nonetheless, this place is beautiful. You almost can't believe you are the only ones here.
While Jesse excitedly pulls on his skates, you take your time and, admittedly, play a little bit dumb. It is just so much fun to see him help you. Just as you are thinking that, he goes down on one of his knees in front of you and carefully ties the laces of your shoes.
"Come on. I'll hold your hand so you don't fall," he promises you, pulling you up and onto the thick ice. You comply and follow him happily.
At first, you are a little bit wobbly on your feet. Like you said - it is the first time in a long time that you go out on the ice again, so it feels a bit weird in the beginning.
"You're doing great. Just do it like me, left and right, left and right," Jesse explains, and a smile tugs on your lips. You hold his hand a little tighter and feel his warm fingers squeezing back. Even though your hands are separated due to gloves, you can still feel some warmth spreading.
As you go on, you are getting more confident in your movements, and after a short time, Jesse is just a little bit too slow for you.
"Hey, I thought you had never been ice skating before!" he yells after you as you leave his side to skate a little bit in front of him.
Laughing, you turn around and start sliding backward. Yes, sometimes Jesse isn't the only show-off in this relationship.
"I haven't said that!" You giggle and reach your hands out again. He grabs them, and together you circle each other in a playful way.
Chuckling, you draw closer after some rounds, and the closer you come, the quieter you get.
In the end, you are standing close to each other and looking into each other's eyes. Slowly, you move your face closer to his, and just as your lips are about to touch, your foot slips, and you are falling.
Jesse, a gentleman through and through, tries to catch you. Instead of helping you, you accidentally pull him down with you. A moment later, you are both hitting the hard ice with your asses.
Well, you at least. Lucky as always, Jesse lands right on top of you and starts chuckling.
"Well, I knew I was good, but I never thought I would sweep someone off their feet literally," he hums happily.
"Haha, so funny." You try to be serious, but your lips betray you as you start to grin uncontrollably.
He isn't wrong; he has kept sweeping you off your feet since the first time you met.

HELLO!!!!
is me again hehe <3
lately, i've been thinking about how Jesse and how his strong devotion and loyalty translates into a relationship. so i was thinkingggggg, a scenario where Jesse needs to be walked of the edge of a heated situation and needs reassurance that he's it for reader. that he's the man reader wants to be with and will stand be his side.
can be either SFW or NSFW (with agender reader with female parts??? that would make me so happy) what ever is sparking your lovely imagination.
so appreciate and love and am grateful i found your beautiful writing and met such an amazing person <3
Tumblr media
Mythos, my dear! Thank you so much for the ask!! I saw your second ask too and I hope I’ve done your beautiful request justice. Jesse is so passionate but that’s exactly what we love about him and the idea of being able to show him that when he was feeling insecure is exactly what he deserves! I completely got carried away with this and ended up writing over 2.5k words (although it’s never enough for Jesse!). I hope you like it! Thank you for celebrating with me, love!

You finally made it to the bar on a particularly busy night at 79’s. It was way more work than it should have been for a glass of water, but the dance floor that Jesse had kept you glued to all night was hot, and you were parched.
You could still see him through the crowd. His cog tattoo and shaved head helped him stand out among his identical brothers. That and you’d be able to spot his grin anywhere. He was in his civies tonight, a black t-shirt and his lone pair of jeans. Jesse always looked good, but you enjoyed your current vantage point and took a moment to check out the handsome man. You had only been on dating for a few months. Your friend had been hot and heavy with Fives since the moment she met the goateed clone. It had taken her a few tries to convince you to join them on a double date with one of his brothers who Fives insisted you’d like. You hadn’t been expecting much, not because you didn’t like Fives, but simply because you didn’t imagine someone like him could be your type. Jesse had swept you off your feet, though. You hadn’t admitted it to him yet, but you were falling fast. His endearing charm, constant sarcasm, lighthearted take on life, the passion that burned bright through him, and the kindness and understanding he always showed you made it easy to fall. You watched him move under the neon lights, and you felt a wide smile creep across your face. Jesse always seemed to put that smile there.
So it was Jesse and the lights and the music’s fault that you didn’t notice a crowd of people behind you until one of them stumbled into your back. You spun around, ready to apologize for taking up precious bar space before you realized it was a group of nat-borns. Instantly, your defense went up.
It wasn’t often that other civilians wandered into 79’s, and the ones that did were usually there to cause problems. So as you eyed up the stumbling rough and rowdy group, you didn’t have to go looking to know that they were likely trouble. Unfortunately, as Jesse often liked to remind you, with a deep laugh and elbow to your ribs, trouble usually came looking for you.
“Hey,“ The tallest one slurred as he looked you up and down. “Come here often?”
“Yup.” Your reply was curt, and you hoped they would take the hint when you turned back to face the bar.
Instead, a hand came to your shoulder.
“Hey, I was talking to you.” He was suddenly close, his breath rank and hot on your face as he yanked you towards. “You think you’re too good for us.”
“Don’t touch me.” You took a full step away as you warned him.
“Slummin’ it here with all these test tube freaks.” He closed in on you again. “Let me show you what a real man can do.”
You raised your hands, about to shove him backward, when a familiar arm slid over your shoulder. Despite your guard being up, you instantly knew who was next to you.
“Problem here?”
Your eyes didn’t move from the creep, but you could hear the eternal grin on Jesse’s face. You didn’t mistake the grin for carelessness. Instead, you knew it was just Jesse. He was always calm until he wasn’t.
“Ahh, I see. No problem.” The man stumbled back into his friends before muttering under his breath. “Freak fucker.”
“What did you call them?”
Your head snapped up at the sudden change in tone in Jesse’s voice. He wasn’t grinning anymore. His hand left your shoulder as he began to stiffen at your side. The man didn’t realize his mistake as he kept hurling insults your way.
“They’re just another slut for you meat droids. The Republic needs to end the war so they can take you all out with the trash.”
In split seconds, Jesse lept past you. He swung, his fist connecting with the creep’s jaw, sending him reeling backwards. He threw another jab, catching the man with a blow to the nose before he stumbled out of Jesse’s reach.
Your stomach dropped as one of the friends lunged for Jesse, whose gaze was still on the instigator. But never one to be caught off guard, Jesse side-stepped the second man in the same moment he spun, landing a uppercut into the man’s stomach.
You balled your fists, ready to follow Jesse when another hand came to your shoulder. You cocked a fist back but Kix’s voice found you before you could swing.
“You jump in, you just make it worse for him.”
You huffed in response. Kix wasn’t wrong. You knew Jesse could handle a few nat-borns by himself and he would only be distracted if you started to fight. Still, your fist stayed balled by your side.
In the next moment, a flash of red by the door caught your eye. The Courscant Guard was here. They were always close by on busy nights, keeping the peace however they had to. The three clones positioned themselves by the door. You recognized Thorn by his helmet. He posted himself in the corner, a shiny on either on side of him. You knew he wouldn’t intervene unless he had to, but if Jesse kept at it, Thorn wouldn’t have a choice.
Kix saw Thorn too. He set his jaw and dove into the fray. He emerged with an arm wrapped around Jesse’s waist, tugging the scowling man out of the scuffle. Kix turned, tossing his brother away from the seething nat-borns before he spun around to face them again.
“Get out.” Kix pointed to the door. “Or you’re going to have a lot more meat droids to deal with.”
The instigator snarled through a bloody nose and spit at Kix’s feet. Jesse yelled out and charged for the man again. You turned to face him, stepping into his path and putting your hands on his chest. Jesse looked down at you, his face instantly softening just a bit.
“Jesse - we’re leaving now.” The words were an order but your tone was gentle, hoping you could reach the part of him that had just relaxed under your palms.
He frowned, his eyes quickly back on his target. The men were rapidly retreating out the door, with side-glances thrown at the Guards in red. You felt Jesse twitch, like he wanted to chase after them.
“It’s okay, Jess.” Kix’s voice came from behind you now, calm and quiet. “Just let go it.”
“They’re not worth it.” You lifted one palm to Jesse’s face, laying it on his cheek with just enough pressure to coax him into looking at you. “Please, Jesse.”
His hand came up to your forearm, giving you a gentle squeeze.
“Okay,” The words were breathy as they left his mouth. “Okay, okay. You’re right.”
You lifted to meet his lips, capturing him in a quick, grateful kiss.
He exhaled as you pulled away, breaking the brief kiss. You ran your thumb along his cheekbone, tracing the lower rim of his tattoo. Then your hand fell to find his hand at his side.
“Let’s go home.”
You tugged him towards the exit. As you pulled Jesse out of the club, you threw on glance back to search over his shoulder, quickly finding the familiar eyes of Kix. He tilted his head in question, and you nodded in reassurance. He smiled back and raised his glass in a grateful salute before he turned back to the dancefloor. Jesse followed you to the door in a daze. The adrenaline of the fight had worn off, and he hung almost limp as he drifted behind you.
By the time you got back to your apartment, Jesse was almost catatonic. His lids hung heavy over his eyes as he sank onto the edge of your bed. He hadn’t said a word since you left 79’s. You were starting to get worried. Rather than press him to talk, you went to the kitchen and got a wet washcloth. Returning to find him unmoved in the bedroom, you knelt before him. Coaxing him to take off his shoes, you placed them next to yours at the end of the bed. Then you turned your attention to his bruised knuckles. Taking his calloused hand in yours, you started to dab at the scrapped skin.
“You… you don’t have to do that.” Jesse stuttered as he finally spoke.
“I’m happy to, Jesse.” You tried to smile up at him but his sleepy gaze had turned into a wide eyed stare and it caught you off guard.
“No, I mean you shouldn’t have to do that.” He yanked his hand out of yours.
You barely had time to wonder at his sudden movement before he was up on his feet, pacing across your small bedroom.
“Jesse, talk to me.” You kept your voice gentle, not out of fear but out of caring. You wanted him to know you were there for him.
“You deserve better, you know.”
You frowned but before you could protest, Jesse spoke again, never breaking his relentless stride.
“I’m sorry. I’m just a hothead. All I know is how to fight.” Jesse ran his fingers over his broken knuckles. “You deserve more than that.”
He finally stopped his pacing as he caught his form in the full length mirror that hung on your wall. His frown grew as he studied himself.
“Look at me.” His shoulders slumped and his eyes fell to the floor. “I was bred for this. Bred to be a soldier and that’s all I’ll ever be.”
You quickly clambered to your feet. He didn’t move from his position in front of the mirror. You stood behind him, savoring his closeness for a moment. You wrapped your arms around him at his waist and pulled him in tight to you.
“I love your fire, Jesse. I love that you’re a fighter.”
He let out a single dry laugh. It was so soulless, so unlike Jesse. You held him a little closer.
“Look at you, Jesse.” You settled your head on his shoulder, stretching to peer at your combined reflections. “You want to know what I see?”
He finally raised his head, hesitantly meeting your eyes.
“I see how passionately you care, how you love so strongly that you would go to war for those you care about. Your brothers know that. They love and respect you for that. But that fire isn’t all you are.”
“You can make me smile on the hardest of days. You keep calm in far more situations than you give yourself credit for. You like to pretend you don’t care but I can see how deeply you do.” You dug your fingers into his shirt, gripping his ribs, trying to convey how much you wanted him. “Don’t ever say you’re just a soldier. You’re so much more than that, Jesse.”
Jesse’s eyes were shining as his reflection stared back at you. He took your arm from his waist and tugged you in front of him, his eyes never leaving yours in the mirror. He wrapped his arms around your shoulders folding you into his warmth. You reached up and held onto his arms like he was the only liferaft in the sea. He started to grin again. You leaned your head back into him with a sigh and a smile.
“I’m so lucky to have met you.” Jesse murmured as he kissed the top of your head.
“We’re both lucky.”
You turned your head to lay a gentle kiss on his bicep. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see the smirk on his face widen just a little. He pressed a kiss to your neck. And then another. You tilted your head, giving him more access to your sensitive flesh. One of hands that laid across your chest searched out your pert nipple and began to tease it gently through the rough fabric of your shirt. You leaned back into him with a soft moan, grinding your hips against him, feeling him harden behind you. Jesse’s lips found your ear.
“Oh, cyare,” Jesse’s words were dark and husky. “You don’t know what you do to me.”
His other hand snaked its way down your front, finding the waistline of your pants. Jesse pushed the fabric aside, sinking one knuckle into your already wet center.
“See what you do to me.” You breathlessly muttered. “Jesse, I need you.”
His hands jumped to your waist to find the hem of your shirt. Gentle fingers traced a line up your side, gathering your shirt as he went. Jesse paused at your mid-waist and looked at you. You nodded, giving him permission to proceed. He whipped the top off of you in the next moment. You spun to face him, needy for the feeling of his skin on yours. You tugged at the ends of his shirt, and he quickly obliged. You ran your hands over his chest, savoring the warmth of his skin and the sturdy build of his muscles.
Jesse bent to meet you and quickly captured your lips in his, kissing you deeply. He still tasted like a hint of whiskey. His tongue swirled with yours in a bruising fury and you felt yourself craving more of him. You broke apart for a moment, both turning your attention to your pants. The last bits of clothing was quickly removed and kicked aside.
Jesse spun you around to face the mirror and then pressed his wide palm on the small of your back, coaxing you into bending over. You gave into his directions, bringing a hand to the wall on either side of the mirror. You felt him run his length along your aching slit. You let out a breathy moan as he brushed along your clitoris, your head falling and eyes closing at the glorious friction.
“Oh no, cyare,” Jesse’s back was suddenly pressed against you, and his hand was on your jaw. He guided your head back up so you were staring into his deep brown eyes.
“That’s it,” he nipped at your neck as he stood again, lining himself up. “Let me see those eyes.”
You stared up at him, meeting his dark look in the mirror. His pupils were blown. Jesse stood again, towering over you. You bit your lip as you studied the breathtaking man for the briefest moment.
Then he entered you. His member filled you, reaching your furthest depths at this angle. The ache of being so full was quickly replaced by a overwhelming pleasure as Jesse’s hand snaked its way around you, deftly finding your already sensitive nub again. He teased small circles as he slowly began to move, dragging his cock from you before swiftly entering you again. Soon, his hips pistoned into you and you pushed back off of the wall, meeting him with every stroke. His other hand held your hip on a strong grip. You cried out his name as a wave of orgasm overtook you. Jesse followed behind, filling you as he finished.
You stood up and swayed on weak legs. Jesse quickly gathered you into his chest, showering your shoulders with kisses.
“Thank you.” He whispered against your skin.
“Always.” You sighed, leaning back into him. The next words left your mouth before you even considered them. “I love you, Jesse.”
Your stomach dropped for a moment. You knew you meant it but maybe it was too soon, too early. Before you could take it back, you looked to him in the mirror. His dark brown eyes found your suddenly wide ones and they were bright, all lust replaced with a vast joy. He quickly spun you to face him. Cupping your face in his hands, he tilted you up towards him.
“I love you too.”
His lips captured yours and his hands fell to wrap around your waist. Your heart soared as he squeezed you tighter to him.
“Now come on,” Jesse smirked before he stepped backwards, tuggiing you towards the bed. “I’m not done with you yet.”

Free, I’ve missed you so much!!! I saw that you reblogged some first kiss prompts, so if I may be so bold as to request
the uncontrollable smile they break into either after or during the kiss itself
with my love, Jesse 💙💙

You’d been having the night of your life. After a hellish week at work, full of unreasonable expectations and incompetent coworkers, you’d finally made it to the bar with your friends. The jovial nature of 79s was infectious, and it felt so good to let your guard down and just have fun for once. You’d danced, had a drink, played a hologame that you swore was rigged, and now were crammed into a booth with a whole horde of happy patrons.
A hand lightly touched your knee under the table, bringing your attention back to the conversation you’d been having. Your friend was always raving about the 501st, and now they were here on shore leave. She hadn’t been wrong – you were thoroughly enjoying yourself. From the hilarious quips and razor-sharp wit to the exhilarating stories punctuated with flirtatious comments, they were a constant good time.
“Jesse!” you answered triumphantly, watching the Republic cog move as his eyes crinkled in a smile. It made your pleasant tingly state feel even more effervescent. “Ha! You said I wouldn’t remember!”
“I said I bet you wouldn’t remember it tomorrow,” he laughed, patting your knee and withdrawing his arm. “See, you already forgot.”
“I’m not just gonna bang you and write you off as another fun night,” you said with mock sternness. “I’m not that kind of person – I’m going to get to know and appreciate every glorious nuance of who you are, and the one and only Jesse shall live on in my mind, untarnished and glorious…forevermore!” You clapped a hand to your mouth, giggling at your own profundity as well as the way his eyebrows had risen higher and higher with each ridiculous word.
“That’s quite poetic,” he conceded, lifting an arm to wrap it around your shoulders, making you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. “But uh… you’re gonna bang me?” he asked with a roguish grin, tilting his head and gazing at you with impossibly large puppy-dog eyes.
“That’s yet to be seen,” you answered coyly, and he laughed again, leaning back against the booth cushion as he took another sip of his drink.
“Fair enough,” he said, setting the glass down. “But I’m warning you… If you get back on the dance floor with me, you’re not gonna want to go home alone.”
“Ooohhh, them’s fightin’ words!” You were half teasing, half aroused with a shiver of anticipation at his playful confidence. “You must think pretty highly of yourself!”
“Not at all,” he said with a completely straight face. Only the glint in his eyes belied his mischief. “I’m only speaking from experience.” With a wink and a shove of the clone next to him, he was scooting out of the bench seat and pulling you along with him. You laughed, clambering to your feet as he held your hand steadily. “I’m giving you one last chance to flee back to safety,” he purred, leaning in close to your ear and making your heart skip a beat.
“Karking hell,” you blurted out, “You’re ridiculous…ly hot.” He threw his head back with an elated guffaw, and the next thing you knew, he’d led you to the most packed corner of the bar where bodies of all shapes, sizes, and species bumped and grinded to the endless thump of the bass that barely changed from song to song. It didn’t matter – the cacophony of noise, the myriad of neon lights, and the fuzzy tipsiness brought on by a few drinks all created an atmosphere of letting go and enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
He put a hand on your waist, stepping in close and gracing you with a whiff of his scent – something clean and fresh, almost too heavily-applied, sweetened by the hint of sweat and heat. It was intoxicating. When you leaned in, pressing your body against his and laying a hand on his shoulder, there was no doubt where your mind was going. He was built. Confident. Hilarious. And somehow not off-putting at all. You’d enjoyed your conversation earlier, being equally enamored with his wit as well as his insight.
The song shifted, and with a gentle lead, he turned you around to pull you up against his front, sliding both arms around your waist and settling them on your hips. Or just slightly below. You moved together to the rhythm, your own hands finding his arms as you swayed. He nuzzled against your neck, yelling something over the music that made you laugh, and you reached an arm up, arching your back to wrap it around his neck and pull him close. The low hum he made in your ear sent a warmth blossoming between your legs, and you bit your lip. Kriff, he hadn’t been lying. The way his war-hardened body was able to move so effortlessly with your own left little to the imagination about what he might be like in other scenarios.
You closed your eyes, losing yourself in the music, the moment… (heheh)... the feeling of his chest against your back, his hips against your ass… You could swear you felt more there too, but maybe you were just imagining it, feral as you were. It felt good to stop worrying about everything for once, and you felt lucky to have found such a partner for the night.
After what felt like hours, you pulled him off the dance floor, sweaty and exhilarated from having been rubbing and grinding against each other in a build-up that you could hardly stand. With a quick stop at the corner of the bar, you poured a small water glass for each of you, chugging yours in a few gulps before refilling it. He ran a hand over his head, finishing his own water and returning the cup to the dirty dish rack. The flush on his cheeks and the sparkle in his eyes were absolutely irresistible, and you felt emboldened. You pressed a hand against his stomach, reveling in the surprise on his face, and drove him backward into the wall almost forcefully. It seemed impossible to combine innocent delight and a darkened gaze, and yet there he was, smoldering with absolute magnetism in front of you.
“Shoot, I warned you!” he teased, sliding a hand around your waist as you slipped one leg between his, sidling up to lean on his chest and press him into the wall. You laughed, placing a hand on his broad chest, feeling his heart pounding as much as your own.
“I was indeed warned,” you admitted, toying with his hip with your other hand. He wrapped his arms around you, one around the small of your back, the other around your shoulders. You tilted your head slightly, sliding your hand up his chest, along the side of his neck, and around to the back where you cupped it firmly. Without hesitation, he leaned forward, bringing his lips to yours with exhilarating confidence. You melted into him, sliding your thigh more intentionally against his crotch, where there was definitely something more now. You drowned in your senses – the heat, the desire, the scent and taste and feel of him – and then snapped back to the present as you felt his kiss changing.
His cheeks curved as he smiled against your mouth, tipping his forehead to touch yours and allowing both of you to catch a breath. Your heart exploded in your chest at the sight of him, eyes still closed and grinning like an idiot, and you cupped his cheek with a tender hand. When he finally did lift his head and open those gorgeous amber eyes, it sent a jolt of electricity through you – the irresistible sexiness paired with the unabashed glee was something you never wanted to forget.
“What?” you said finally, poking playfully at his adorable grin. “Got something smart to say?”
“Nothing,” Jesse chuckled, surprisingly soft for a moment. “I’m just really loving this night.”
“I think we’re gonna be loving it even more,” you murmured, hand grazing back down his chest and coming to rest at his waist. “But now it’s you who needs to be warned…”
