All my brush packs are totally free (tips optional but always very appreciated!) and can be used freely in any work, including commercial work that you profit off of, with no license or credit required. My goal with these brush packs is to make digital painting feel more achievable and accessible - especially painting environments, something I now LOVE but that used to intimidate me, & felt much more approachable with the right tools! Many of the packs also come with tutorial video content. I hope you enjoy!
What brushes or programs do you use? Sorry if you've already answered this before!
My brushes have changed a lot since the last time I shared 'em! I use Clip Studio Paint with a mixture of my own brushes (download) and some altered character pens from ×ェ× (download). Explanations n' samples below~!
For sketches I use my Brushy brush and a slightly altered version of ×ェ×'s character pens. My alterations to their pen were pretty minor - I reduced the variation in brush size, especially at the start and end of the stroke, to make it more like a standard lineart brush.
I use my Grain brushes and another altered brush to refine the lines. Instead of creating a new layer for my line art, I draw the line art on the same layer as my sketch. I use these brushes to draw and erase, adding and subtracting from my sketch to clean it up.
I don't use Rough or Bumpy too often, but they're good for cleaning up line art and creating fine detail. I use them to create intricate details and patterns that are actually just a bunch of little scribbles and loops when you zoom in
All of the showcased brushes are available for pay-what-you-want on my Ko-Fi! And free is an option! Feel free to use them in whatever you want - though I’d appreciate a link to the brushes if you end up posting anything that uses them!!
(Photoshop-compatible versions will hopefully be available in the near future!)
Available for Clip Studio Paint, I've meticulously created brush tips and adjusted settings to make this the perfect set for rendering TTRPG and fantasy illustrations.
the hard pencil from this set, though i tweaked A LOT of the settings to my own liking, like the texture, size and density when i tilt my pen, angle of the tip, etc etc. i can upload my version of the brush to my gdrive if anyone wants it.
i also turned the anti-aliasing all the way down to make the brush crunchier:
and also i sharpened the sketch to make it even more "crisp":
you can always pick "sharpen more" if you want the effect to be less subtle.

most are still avaliable for free on Clip Studio Assets as per usual, this is just as a means to support me monetarily if you want : )
Clip Studio, the chosen one of non-subscription model based art making, recently announced they're joining the Adobes of the world. Yup, we're not gonna get free updates anymore.
I have a modest portion of my CSP tools already ported to Krita. I will release that set soon--I started that process two years ago, and I'm glad I did. I plan on making Krita tools from here on out, and will still support and update my Clip stuff too.
I'm in the middle of moving--and my partner and I are opening a tabletop gaming and maker space with our friends--or I'd drop the in-progress set now.
Krita is pretty rad. It's capable. It's free. It's also a shame that Clip swerved hard.
