Let me make this clear.
I'm 60 years old, and I'm a climate change denier! I'm also a proud conspiracy theorist; we are ahead by three to four years.
I'm a geo-political blogger, so it will be in centigrade when I show you climate stuff from Europe. So don't get your panties in a bunch.
I was in England in the summer of 1989 when it was in the 90s, and they turned off the fountains in Trafalgar Square.
You can't make an argument for climate change with data that only goes back 32 years. That's laughable! Try a hundred years to make better predictions.
So we have always had wildfires, and you can lower the amount you get with good forestry. If you make fire breaks and start picking up incendiaries, you can avoid them. But Nooo, the liberal assholes let nature take its course.
You're probably too young to know, but out west, they let wildfires get so out of control that they crossed into other states. People died! Did we learn our lessons?
You are not dying from climate change in a couple of years, but you will die if your government destroys crops and animals. You will starve to death!
This is what's causing my fight or flight mode! Have any of you gone hungry? I have, and it caused anemia and kidney problems when I was 17 years old.
In the 70's early 80s, they told us we were going through a mini ice age. They were dumping dump trucks full of snow into rivers.
Shut up. It's August, the hottest month of the year.
You must go after the dirt bags that are price gouging and committing fake fear. WEF/ The Great Reset. Corporate communism.

“if you are not angry, you are not paying attention” is true now maybe more than ever. if you are not looking at the state of the world at the moment and thinking this is bullshit, are you really looking?

Ok can we stop vandalizing art as a form of "activism" now?
Go paint something to promote your cause instead fuckers.
You want to involve art in your shock tactics? Go on, make an artwork about climate change so impactful people will talk about it for decades to come.It will do more good to your cause than piggybacking off someone else's art.

Silver's timeline (The one where everything's on fire) is either set in Florida, California, or Australia
I presume this is about the basically-yearly forest fires we're having currently; have those begun yet? I worry...
That being said, even in the Netherlands we have had forest fires before due to climate change, despite the fact this country is supposed to be a miserably wet hellhole where the temperature in summer doesn't cross 25 degrees C or so on the absolute hottest days. Soleanna is based on Venice, where it's way hotter still than here, so no doubt forest fires are quite a common occurrence in Italy as well... Though I personally like to think the world of Sonic does not suffer through issues like climate change and stuff in the first place. Perhaps idealistic, but I like to envision that world as more equal and better-cared-for than ours. In the good futures from CD, technology is put to work to make nature thrive, so perhaps they're working towards that on Sonic's planet at large, if they haven't already? That's a nice thought!

Grow up
I remember growing up with a fan and sleeping in the attic. My parents told me to go get a job if I wanted AC.
When cable TV came out, we could barely afford it and had to return the box, back to changing the channels manually. I swear to god I'm going back to rabbit ears.
They enticed you with streaming only to make everything ala carte. The media is owned by 7 corporations; let that sink in.
I remember all my schools with no AC and just about passing out.
Some of you may know I want to homestead with help from the US Department of Ag. Initially, I was in, and then further application said Nope. I'm I too old? What is it? I'm going to my congressman about this. Most of the site is to help the corporations to help us; what?
We are the taxpayers that pay for those programs to give money to corporations and guarantee we'll pay it back. Just wondering what happens to grant money. Oh, right, it's not for me.

OK, excuse the bleakness but, I'm finding it to be quite a grim synchronicity that I'm hearing reports of research suggesting that Earth might be past the limits of human habitability a day after I'm seeing people seriously discussing the notion of altering Earth's ecosystems, in the discourses of so-called "anti-predationism" or "Promethean anarchism".
No seriously, think about it: at a time when human civilization has damaged the vast complex of natural ecosystems, the global environment of this planet, to the point that humans MIGHT not survive living on this planet, apparently a small number of people think we need to fuck with those same ecosystems even more in order to satisfy the moral instincts and intellectual vanities of a handful of human beings. How the fuck am I expected to abide that? We're probably on course to cooking life on Earth including ourselves to death, we got to this point by carving up ecosystems for endless produce and property, and there are people who think that the human species should think about doing MORE to reshape the Earth's ecosystems in our image?
Why?
