Horror wants to keep a Sans and Nightmare offers them both a deal.
"Him being cute isn't the only reason why you want him." Nightmare stated while pointing at the tied up Sans on the ground, "Does he know that?"
"Yeah...sort of, he knows he'll go through training and it'll be brutal." Horror said as he picked up the Sans and untied him. He couldn't leave the castle even if he tried so him escaping wasn't a worry.
Nightmare rubbed at his temples, leaning back in his office chair. Like always he was dressed comfortably even if there was company. After a few seconds he relented, Horror's puppy eyes were getting to him.
"Fine, then you can keep him but I will have to talk to him about my original plan. I'm still going to follow through on it despite this new found relationship." Nightmare motioned for Sans to step forward, "Luckily for you, Horror may have just saved your life given your view on my ideas."
Sans walked forward nervously, he hadn't been expecting to met a God. When he had first met Horror he thought he would ended up slaughtered. Not that it would have been a bad thing to go out that way but he didn't plan to get this far.
Nightmare stood and leaned over his desk as he stared into the smaller form of a skeleton, "Me and Dream will be using your AU for a new playground of sorts." He said matter-of-factly.
"Err....okay? So what's my role in that?" Sans asked while tilting his head as he stared up at Nightmare, the imposing force shaking his will "Would it even matter if I protested?"
"No it wouldn't have mattered, I don't want you to interfere and I would have just...." Nightmare stopped himself from finishing his sentence and chuckled like he was waisting words, "Nevermind that, so now I offer you this because it will be the only control you will have over your situation."
"Anything is better than nothing?" Sans shrugged as he listened, hopeful that it wasn't something too absurd.
"You will become Horror's pet and train under him. In turn your loved ones will be protected from the meddlings of me and my brother." Nightmare offered, placing a claw on Sans' forehead after noticing his discomfort. It would be easier for him to make a choice if his mind wasn't so riddled with 'worries'.
"What exactly do you mean by 'meddlings'?" He asked as he felt the prick of the claw, he did not draw blood. His form still mostly magic as he had not spent a lot of time on his surface. This did not go unnoticed by Horror, he made a note in a small book.
"We're just going to drive them mad and have a fun little religious war about it." Nightmare chuckled, drawing emotions from Sans as he was given time to think about it. While he could have just forced the monster to say yes there was no fun in that.
Sans thought about it, not noticing that he wasn't overthinking it as he usually did. It was the only way he could protect everyone he cared about in the underground. Sure the number was few but just giving himself up wouldn't be so bad... It's not like whatever Horror is going to put him through is going to change him much.
"That's funny..." Horror murmured to what seemed like no one. Muffled laughter came from nowhere but it may have been imagined.
Sans thought about it for a moment longer. Give his life up to a total goth hottie and save his love ones in the process? That was the best thing he would get out of this. He did come to a realization, "Am I going to be protected from the madness?"
Nightmare was surprised by the question and bursted into laughter. He was so tickled by a foolish question, he thought it was clear what was going to happen. When he stopped laughing he found a face of shock staring at him.
"I don't know if you noticed but just because your loved ones will be protected doesn't mean you will." He cleared his throat and pulled his claw away from the Sans' forehead, "After all most of your time here and that wouldn't leave anyone sane."
"It'll be okay though, I promise that it won't be as bad as it could be." Horror placed a hand on Sans' shoulder and gave him a soft smile, "Plus once you get used to it all it becomes normal."
Sans stared into Horror's eyes, his empty and bright socket. This situation wasn't a total loss and was better than him being twisted outright by the God before him. If anything this was a blessing that he should take but some unknown part of him worried. He barely could keep himself together most days, how was Horror supposed to do that and make sure he doesn't completely lose his mind to magic?
His hesitation was obvious to Horror, it was familiar. He had felt the same way when he starts working for Nightmare. However everything had turned out better than when he first started, it would be the same for Sans. Horror gave Sans a reassuring hug, patting him on the skull.
"It'll be okay, just take the deal and everything will be handled." Horror's words were soft and sweet as he felt Sans' return the hug.
"...I guess I don't have anything to really lose..." Sans accepted, pulling away from the hug before facing Nightmare. He held out his hand with a wavering smile, "I'll take you up on that deal."
As Nightmare's hand clasped his he could feel liquid ice shoot through his bones. He would have screamed if it weren't for the fact that he was frozen in place by fear. His body shuttered- the breath leaving him being visible in the air. It wasn't possible that he hadn't noticed this chill before.
He felt himself be pushed into Horror's arms. His body feeling heavy and frosted over by magic. To stunned to move he watched as Nightmare and Horror had a short conversation. Horror listened and nodded along to Nightmare's words as he was receiving orders.
Sans' eyes started to close a sudden wave of tiredness hitting him. He didn't fight to stay awake and let the darkness take him for the first time in weeks. Welcoming rest and leaving everything up to Horror to deal with.

Whispers in the Dark: Uncovering the World’s Most Terrifying Urban Legends
“Urban legends are a reminder that truth is often stranger than fiction.”
Tumblr media
Remember when we used to hear myths and urban legends as children? We used to be both terrified and fascinated by it. As kids, we used to wonder: Do they exist? Are the myths true?
However, urban legends exist all over the world, and we’ve scoured the globe to find the eeriest and most pervasive ones, from the haunting, spine-chilling stories of La Llorona in Mexico to a half-deer humanoid wendigo living in the depths of Native American cold forests.
1. The Black-Eyed Children
In the late 1990s there was an urban legend of the Black Eyed Children . It revolves around children or teenagers who approach people’s homes or vehicles seeking help or permission to enter, but their most notable feature is their solid black eyes without any pupils or sclera.
Tumblr media
Most reports of encounters with black eyed children involve feelings of intense fear and dread. Those who have interacted with them describe a sense of overwhelming danger and a feeling that they are not human. Some claim that the black eyed children emit a strange, low-frequency hum or emit a foul odor.
One of the most well-known encounters occurred in 1998, when a journalist named Brian Bethel claimed to have encountered two black eyed children in Abilene, Texas. Bethel reported that the children appeared at his car window, asking for a ride home, but he was overcome with a sense of fear and fled the scene.
“ Both boys stared at me with coal-black eyes. The sort of eyes one sees these days on aliens or bargain-basement vampires on late night television. Soulless orbs like two great swathes of starless night. My fear must have been evident. The boy in the back wore a look of confusion. The spokesman banged sharply on the window as I rolled it up. His words, full of anger, echo in my mind even today: ‘We can’t come in unless you tell us it’s OK. Let us in! ’ ” —Brian Brethel on Abilene Reporter News
2. The Wailing Woman
The weeping woman often described as a woman in the mid 20s dressed in white haunts the rivers and streets of Mexico, searching for her children and crying out in anguish .The locals have described it as ‘The La Llorona ’ . It was used to scare the children so that they dont wander in the streets at night .
Tumblr media
The story goes by a beautiful mexican lady fell in love with a man of high status . they married had kids an was living a happy life when one day the man left her for another woman . In a fit of jealousy and rage, Maria drowned her children in a nearby river. When she realized what she had done, she was filled with remorse and grief, and she began to wander the streets and riverbanks crying out for her lost children. She was said to have been heard wailing, “Ay, mis hijos!” (“Oh, my children!”) . It is said that she was cursed and was denied to enter the gates of heaven and now she wanders as a spirit looking for her children .
3. The Wendigo
The wendigo is often described as a tall, thin creature with matted hair and glowing eyes. It is said to have long arms and legs, and its skin is stretched tightly over its bones. Some legends also describe the wendigo as having antlers or horn .
Tumblr media
It has been the subject of countless stories, songs, and works of art over the years. The wendigo is often portrayed as a malevolent and dangerous creature that preys on humans. In 2019, a man in Quebec claimed that he had been attacked by a wendigo while out hunting. He stated that the creature had glowing eyes and a thin, skeletal body. According to the man, the wendigo knocked him to the ground and attempted to bite him before he was able to fight it off.
“We were sitting around the fire when we heard this really strange noise. It sounded like something was breathing heavily, almost like it was right behind us. When we turned around, we saw this tall, thin creature with glowing eyes. It was watching us, and then it just disappeared.” — locals in Minnesota .
4. The New Jersey Devil
The legend of the New Jersey Devil dates back to the 18th century, when it was said to be the offspring of a woman named Mother Leeds. According to the legend, Leeds cursed her 13th child to be a devil, and the creature was born with wings and supernatural powers.
Tumblr media
The New Jersey Devil is often described as a winged creature with a horse-like head, hooves for feet, and a forked tail. It is said to be about the size of a large dog or small deer. There have been numerous reported sightings of the New Jersey Devil over the years, particularly in the Pine Barrens region. In 1909, there was a wave of sightings that made national news. People reported seeing a creature with glowing eyes and wings that flew over their homes and farms.
“We were driving through the woods at night when we saw something in the road. It was a creature with wings and a horse-like head. We were too scared to get out of the car.” — Reported sighting from a group of teenagers, 1995
In conclusion, urban legends have been a part of human culture for centuries, and they continue to fascinate and terrify people around the world. From the Wendigo and Slenderman to the New Jersey Devil, these legends tap into our deepest fears and anxieties, often providing a cautionary tale or moral lesson. While some legends may have a basis in reality, most are purely fictional and serve as a form of entertainment or a way to explain the unexplainable. Despite their often gruesome and terrifying nature, urban legends are an enduring part of our cultural heritage and will likely continue to be passed down from generation to generation.

Prompt 19 is "Classic Horror" and tbh I struggled with this one. This is definitely one of those "finished, not perfect" kinda pieces.
Tumblr media
Initially I wanted to draw Jason Vorhees or Michael Myers but they just weren't turning out how I wanted. After a break I started thinking, what's one of the most classic forms of horror? Ghost stories! So here's an Over the Garden Wall-inspired pair of friends out for a walk.

Moon Goddess Lilith
Lilith is described as a female demon. She was Adam’s first wife, coupled with Archangel Samuel and left the Garden of Eden after she had chosen not to serve Adam. In mythology, she enjoyed her sexual pleasures, took the men she wanted, killed children and did not perform what was expected from her. This underworld deity also like Isthar seems to use a ring symbol, further she is accompanied of two lions and two owls. She is shown with wings and bird feet. Her head is adorned with horns and a crescent moon.

Dracula from Universal Monsters NECA
The long awaited Bela Lugosi likeness version of the count It comes with a staring head, smug head and snarling head. My favourite design is the smug expression one. The figure also has (deep breath) three pairs of hands, a cloth cape with a plastic collar, a bat with a plastic stand, a tray, two goblets and a bottle of wine. This may be the best Dracula figure so far, with so many possibilities for posing on its own or with other figures. I’ve been impressed by NECA’s Frankenstein’s monster and Wolf Man but this is definitely my favourite.
