So she's basically an Evil Dorothy?
I noticed she had some red heeled shoes to go with that red dress as you were talking about her wanting to go home so I immediately thought of The Wizard Of Oz. 🤪
Very interesting character study of this character. I'll admit I've been a bit flippant with Glory. Not really showing her the respect she deserves. But that's only because I personally do not like Big Bads just to be Big Bads. Villains being evil just to be evil bore me for the most part. But your assessment that Glory has a tragic traumatic story driving her motivations has made me think twice about her. I mean don't get me wrong... I think she is a wonderful villain as villains go but I NEVER thought of her as much more than that. Certainly not the way I view Dark Willow or Angelus, who always had much more depth and complexity and nuance to them. This analysis has actually made me reassess my thoughts on her a little bit. Well done.

Blood Ties aired for BTVS season 5, episode 13. There are two important developments in this episode. Dawn - Buffy's sister - learns who she really is, and the Scoobies and Spike do too. (Buffy, Joyce, and Giles already knew.) Dawn does not take the news very well.
The audience also learns about the connection between Glory (shown above) and Ben - a medical intern and friend of Buffy's.
Dawn Summers is played by Michelle Trachtenberg. Glory is played by Clare Kramer. Ben Wilkinson is not shown but is played by Charlie Weber.

Shadow aired for BTVS season 5, episode 8. For the first time the mysterious enemy Glory - also known as Glorificus - is named.
minion Dreg: "... our gift to you, most tingly and wonderful Glorificus."
Glory: "Please, call me Glory. And get up, looking at you is hurting my neck."
Glory had previously appeared in No Place Like Home and Family. Glory is played by Clare Kramer.
