Okay, I may be reaching, but there is definitely a parallel between Barbie and Giselle from Enchanted.
In the beginning, they the most “fantasy” and “animated”; their reflecting that as well. But as the movies go on, they start to become more human. Their wardrobe starts to fit their surroundings, and the outside perspective starts to change their own perspective and who they are as a person. By the end, they have found where they belong, they find love, they find family and they both accept their new “human” lives. And their wardrobe, once again, reflects their new lives; showing them more relaxed…but with one poetic detail that reminds the viewer who they are as a character.
And both movies really show you that you can find happiness anywhere.
Am I wrong?

Franz Kafka is Dead
He died in a tree from which he wouldn't come down. "Come down!" they cried to him. "Come down! Come down!" Silence filled the night, and the night filled the silence, while they waited for Kafka to speak. "I can't," he finally said, with a note of wistfulness. "Why?" they cried. Stars spilled across the black sky. "Because then you'll stop asking for me."

if you think about it, Into The Spiderverse is a trans metaphor, miguel takes the place of a transphobe, and "canon events" is the gender binary.
Better yet, he could take the place of one of those grifters, who, despite being trans, are against trans people.
