I’ve been making some fun sea bunnies from a pattern I recently picked up as an excuse to try out chenille yarn. I’m going to make as many sea bunnies as the yarn I have allows.
One will be selected to continue to live its best life with me & the rest will require good homes. Stay tuned for when the sea bunny army is released into myshop!

Starting something new - the Pineapple Peacock shawl, using some yarn I frogged from a previous (my first!) attempt at the Lost Souls shawl.
This yarn was really too thick for the Lost Souls, but seems to be OK for this one, although the thickness *is* annoying me. But it has the added advantage of crocheting up quickly, so that's a bonus, I guess. I'm not a fan of how the yarn changes, it's too jarring to my eyes, so this may end up being given away. We'll see how I like the final look.

A simple, pretty cowl for a Uni friend! Crocheted in the 'mini bean stitch' and edged with 'crab stitch'! I’m getting so much more confident with crochet and it’s really fun how fast and flexible it is!
Yarn: Sirdar Follksong Chunky (hard to find!) Not sure about the white, it was a scrap I was using up!

finishing one crochet project only to start another one the same day because taking a break is for losers /j
in my defense, the box that my new yarn came in has been cluttering up my room for like two weeks now and i need to do SOMETHING with it to get it out of the way

Next up: Mozzarella. My giant dinosaur beast 😂 It's safe to say that they're freakin huge lol. Just like Pete, I used chunky yarn for Mozzarella and ended up with a dinosaur much larger than anticipated. I think they were only supposed to be eight inches tall, but they turned out to be twenty-one inches tall. Very big, very snuggly. They have a special spot on my locker, and I give them head scratches nearly every time I walk in my room 😊
Pattern by Mike Scrivens and Jordan Graham.

happy holidays to all those celebrating! whether it’s christmas, hannukah, yule, kwanzaa, or anything else during the month of december, i hope you’re all doing well.
i wasn’t able to celebrate christmas on the 25th this year because me, my dad, and my stepmom all had covid and had to quarantine, so photos of gifts for my family members are on their way!
but i decided to use some of my leftover yarn stash to make a chunky finger-knitted blanket for my dogs, and they absolutely love it. it got down to -1ºf here in kentucky the other day so it was a very weather-appropriate gift.
stay tuned for the human sized gifts that are being finished up :)

This winter hat is made with BLO SLST and shaped using short rows for a snug and warm fit. And I added a tassel because why not!
Yarn is Lion Brand Wool-Ease Tonal in "Cabernet", worked with a 6.5mm hook. This hat was finished in a weekend.

I'm a very loose knitter. This pattern, and the yarn I substituted, both list tension as 15 stitches/20 rows on US#10 needles. My swatch is 13 stitches using US#8. I like the fabric so I'm adjusting the pattern to my style.
@tellmeayarn, for whom I'm knitting this, and I, think this yarn works in reverse stockinette. The striping is a tad more subtle. Running with that.
