When I was a Christian extremist, I was obsessed with pointing others to Jesus to save them because I GENUINELY LOVED PEOPLE.

I mean, if hell is real, and you really cared about people, you'd spend every waking minute trying to pull people out of the fire.

I was born into Christianity, and didn't know anything else.

It wasn't until I took a step back to think about it logically that I realized how GRUESOME and UNLOVING the belief in hell is.

It is OPPOSITE of LOVE.

Because I genuinely loved people, once I saw it that way, I was HORRIFIED over my zeal and how I came across to people.

I don't hate people who are really caught up in the belief of hell and are genuine in their love for others. I get it. I was the same way.

The belief in hell is just not showing love to people the way you want it to. It's dangerous. It's harmful. It's toxic. It's unfortunate that Christianity has so much power, it sucks good people in.

I don't believe that everyone needs to think like me. I am not responsible for anyone else except me and how I guide my children.

I was very vocal about deconstruction while I was actively deconstructing. I still spoke about it over the years, but not as much as I do now.

I don't care what adults do with their own time and energy. Adults are capable of making their own choices. No one needs me to tell them otherwise.

When Religion has actively taken a hold of the SCOTUS, and I know Christian extremists' unrelentless agenda is to strip Americans of basic human rights and freedom in the name of God- that's where I stop respecting.

As much as they boldly proclaim the gospel, as much as they boldly try to take over America, I will boldly speak out against them, and will actively try to dissuade people from Christianity without remorse.

It matters to a lot of us.

When I come across good people who spread the gospel, I am grieved because I love them, and they are hurting others unaware.

I won't stop even if it hurts people's feelings.

Just as you have the freedom to practice your religion, I have the freedom to share my personal story and to warn people about spiritual traps.

They have a clear agenda to take over our government, and they won't stop unless we stop them.

The Christian March To Power In America

It seemingly began with groups of Christians claiming that they were under attack from a progressive liberal America. They wanted the right to discriminate against individuals on the basis of their sexual preference. All these human rights coming into law, often at the behest of the United Nations and their treaties, were, apparently, threatening the basis of fundamental religious instruction in schools and churches. Now, we are seeing the Christian march to power in America. They have their immoral leader Donald J Trump promising them a new land with authoritarian laws amended to fit their way of life.

The American Invention Of A Blue Eyed Jesus

America has never been and was never intended to be a theocracy. All those God fearing folk who flooded the new world, many of them slavers, who were happy to see the Negros work their land under the lash, did not form the majority opinion. Christianity is an invention, of course, for white America Jesus is depicted with blue eyes and pale skin. All those famous paintings of the bible stories commissioned by the European church illustrated them in white skinned terms. The Semitic truth was long lost; and the new settlers embraced their saviour along racial lines.

The Cross & The Gun Overcoming Savage Unbelievers

The Christian Nationalists, many of them Evangelicals, are more at home with Old Testament Christianity. Fierce prophets and righteous warriors slaying Philistines and other bad guys often depicted with darker skins. America to them is colonial settlers fighting for their new home against the Indians. Christians were told by their leaders that they had the God given right to take the land of the savages – who were non-believers in their eyes. The gun gave them the means to kill all those who resisted their establishment of the promised land.

The New Crusade To Retake America Now, there is a new battle underway with the proliferation of sinners encroaching upon the righteous in their promised land. A white America has been tainted by too much immigration poisoning the blood of the nation. Those previously on the fringes of society, the coloured, the afflicted, and the damned are making too much noise about their rights in a modern America. It is time to rise up and retake the promised land. The Christian march to power has begun and it leads to Washington. Trump is their loud mouthed, white supremacist bulwark. He is the man who makes it alright to speak the truth. The truth being misogynist, racist, and non-woke in all its profane glory. Trump is in the vanguard for a return to family values. Those family values include the belittling of women, the sexual abuse of children, and all those things that have always gone on in families. Christians Want To End American Sexual Freedom Christians in this camp want to see an end to the sexual freedoms of Americans. They have already, through SCOTUS and the stacking of the bench with conservative Christian justices, begun to take away the individual rights of women. Their reproductive rights have been returned to the state and the concerns of powerful men. IVF in Alabama, that beacon of civil rights in the south, has come under the wrathful glare of God fearing men on their Supreme Court. Marriage equality will be next, as the Christians put the sword to gay rights and the LGBTQIA community. Contraception and access to it will be their righteous weapon in cutting down promiscuity and sexual freedoms for Americans.

The View Of Trump America 2.0 Theocracies are invariably accompanied by corruption, as those in power seek to benefit materially from their exalted status. Authoritarianism loves cronyism and nepotism. A Trump presidency will see his family and friends, and those in thrall to his fiefdom, filling the seats at the big table. Trump supporters will be hoping that he will endower their Christmas stockings with plenty of goodies. Many of them, however, will be disappointed, as pleasing everybody has never been the Trump way. The slashing of the public service and the dismantling of institutions like the FBI and DOJ will see a renaissance of criminality and organised crime in the USA. Trump respects power, like Putin in Russia, and mob bosses and their foot soldiers will flourish. Much more state sponsored violence will make its way onto the streets of American cities. Imagine Jaredd Kushner as Secretary of State. Stephen Miller running Homeland Security. The blood chills. “The new House speaker, Mike Johnson, knows how he will rule: according to his Bible. When asked on Fox News how he would make public policy, he replied: “Well, go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it. That’s my worldview.” But it’s taking time for the full significance of that statement to sink in. Conclusions & Considerations Will this new Christian crusade in America turn out to be overreach and start a big backlash against Christian Nationalism? The Christian march to power in America could see the demise of this unscientific belief system. Especially if it begins to mess with people’s freedoms. Believing in Bronze Age stuff about almighty God and his concern with what you do in the privacy of your own bedroom may start to rankle more Americans if they wield more secular power. The taint of Trump and his cronies may eventually stain more than a few altar cloths. Fundamentally this comes down to how and whether, we as humanity can become more inclusive and accept diversity within our populations. The Trump GOP campaign is predicated on reactionary forces and the politics of grievance. Americans are accustomed to blaming others for their discontent. Politicians have led them by their nose to finger point blame at those who appear to be different. Those same politicians represent big business, which is ripping off ordinary Americans. Most of America is heavily segregated in terms of where they live and where their children go to school. This makes it much easier to demonise ‘the other’ as cause of all your problems. The Republican Party has been mining identity politics, cultural issues, and the anti-woke backlash for years. Fox News is their amplifier in the right wing echo chamber. One comment I saw over and over again was people claiming Christian Extremists "aren't true Christians".

Here's the thing, it doesn't matter.

It just doesn't fucking matter.

The whole point is Christian Nationalism *Exists and it is Wrong*.

They want to infiltrate the government and it's no secret. They base it off of Matthew 28:28-30. They won't stop with the US. Their goal is Global Domination. Just look at how they have already dominated the globe with their Christian White Supremacy. Their next goal is taking over politics. They aren't quiet about it because they think they are following Christ. It is part of their faith.

I want you to take them seriously when they tell you their agenda.

Stop dismissing and downplaying them. Stop theologically debating them. Stop shrugging your shoulders to live your best life like they don't exist.

Your dismissive attitude about them doesn't matter when they are lobbying to take your rights away.

They've already declared a "holy w@r" on unbelievers, and the political climate is playing into their hands. It's fucking already started.

As much compassion as I have, we cannot pander or cater to them. Loving people doesn't mean that we aren't allowed to be angry. I'm fuckin livid and you should be too.

Now that that's out of the way,

I am agnostic. I *personally do not follow Jesus. I don't really care about him, honestly. I don't care what the Bible says. I just want to have a healthy planet to live on and a healthy society as best we can, not just for us, but for future generations.

I see atheism and theists as both valid *personal beliefs. I just think it's best for us not to confuse faith with facts which is why I am agnostic. I have a lot of believer friends on my page whom I respect, and I have a lot of atheist friends I respect. Have fun debating among yourselves if that brings you joy. Just please be respectful and remember we are limited in our understanding here.

I believe in basic human kindness, but I am not naive. I don't follow Jesus, I do not feel compelled to follow his teachings. I may or may not subscribe to turning the other cheek or even forgiveness. If you bite me, I might bite back. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don't play with oppression or abusers.

And for fucks sake, I got my tattoos After I Deconstructed. 🙄🙄🙄 Thank you for telling me what wasn't allowed in my own religion... I wasn't even able to speak my mind as a woman, or even God forbid, *say something Insightful in the presence of men* without getting gossiped about or kicked out of the church, but please, tell me how having tattoos *Today invalidates what I said about my own Past experience. I don't want to go to your "fairyland" anyway 🤣🤣🤣 Yes, I was actually quoting a comment. Lmao

I do not speak because I am trying to win anyone over. I speak because, bottom line, it's worth speaking. I speak because We are the MAJORITY and need to act like it. I speak because I have the courage to. I speak because I am a woman and a mother. I speak because I care about my country and humanity. However, changing minds is never a reason why I do what I do. I don't care about that. I respect people enough to let them be.

To all of those who were genuine, felt validated because of your own experience with Christianity, I see you. I honor you. You aren't crazy. You aren't alone. You are my reason. This is our country too. Don't give up. Your story matters. I will try to respond to as many as I can.

Why Do the Nations Rage? by David A Ritchie (A much-needed corrective)

This book is unusual for our time and very much needed. The Deuteronomy 32 worldview has not been taught to Christians much (except in Eastern Orthodox traditions) until recently, and I don't think many Christians are still familiar with it. David Ritchie explains this worldview and through it shows the ancient, deep connections between "the powers" and the nations.

In Part 1, Mr. Ritchie introduces the concepts of the "powers," "nations," and "nationalism." In Part 2, he uses the Hebrew scriptures to show the origin of the powers, and show the connection between the powers and the nations. In Part 3, he shows how the apostle Paul understood the powers and nationalistic allegiance in the light of the redemptive power of Jesus Christ. In Part 4, he shows how nationalism conveys its own set of spiritually-charged doctrines that both mirror and distort the Gospel. And finally, in Part 5, he offers practical tips on how to deal with nationalism.

Mr. Ritchie lays out his argument in a logical and concise manner, explaining concepts that have not commonly been taught to modern Christians, but which are explained in the Bible (and which we somehow read right over, not even seeing them or which we read, think “that’s weird,” but we don’t understand it and don’t know where to start searching for an answer).

This book is a much-needed corrective for a church that has lost its way. I recommend it highly.
