Some of Fred Jones' best moments:
Totally not a subtweet about how he is portrayed in the Velma series.
No not at all about that new show.
Totally not actually about his complete mischaracterization that has absolutely no basis on any of the previous incarnations of the character.
That it reduces him to a stereotype he never fit in the first place.
And erases a fun, kind, silly and caring male character for another fill in stereotype we have seen a million times for no reason other than its easy.
NoPe. Not about that at all.

They're off to see the wizard! The wonderful wizard of Oz!!
I actually started this last month and then got burnt out and didn't finish it until now but whatever I FINISHED IT!! I finished watching Scooby Doo and Guess Who last month and there's a Wizard of Oz parody in the last episode and I just knew I had to do fanart, a legal requirement if you will.
I kept Shaggy, Fred and Velma's costumes from the episode the same but I thought Daphne and Scooby deserved costumes that were a bit more personal too. But who would the wizard in question be?? Well don't worry because I drew art for that too!!
I just can't stop thinking about a proper direct to DVD scooby WOZ parody film and how Van Ghoul should be the wizard, like in my head it's perfect.

In light of the recent show not being what we wanted, I decided to draw my designs for a college age Mystery Gang

I know we all like to joke around about how ironic it is that William Afton (a murderer who wears a costume) is played by Matthew Lillard (Shaggy’s live action actor), but I’m surprised a similar connection wasn’t given to the rest of the Mystery gang ~
Like, we’ve got Daphne (usually played by Grey Griffin) as the masked thief Catwoman
And we’ve got Fred/Scooby (usually played by Frank Weller) as a Gorilla who disguised himself as Patrick
So in conclusion: the mystery gang has become the very thing they’ve come to destroy

I've dreamed for quite a while of there being a Professor Layton and Scooby-Doo crossover in a similar vein to Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright, so I finally decided to try to draw Layton-style designs for the gang.
Not sure what the hypothetical story would be, but I sort of like the idea of it being set after Unwound Future with Luke and Layton investigating multiple mysterious incidents in their town, and inspiring them to form their own mystery-solving group (perhaps partially in a competitive way, with them trying to solve the mysteries first?). Mostly I just think it would be fun to throw the characters together and have them interact though, since both franchises involve 60's aesthetics, supposed supernatural activity, rubber masks, and talking to dogs.
Featuring how I would characterize the Scooby gang even in a non-crossover context in the form of Layton-style character profiles.

Daphne in 60′s Medieval revival clothing! She’s finally done!
This is one of my favorite vintage trends. It’s like historical clothing inception, me interpreting a trend from half a century ago which itself was interpreting historical clothing (which is oft misunderstood, so these are very ahistorical). This is very self indulgent of me because I’m a real nerd for this shit, and the Scooby Doo characters’ clothes have changed so little since 1969, that I really had no choice but to do some vintage studies with Daphne, my queen, the sail in my ship, the ribbon in my hair. In my vision for the show, Daphne would have at least one new outfit per episode, thematically relevant of course. I figure this would be appropriate for the Black Knight or the Ghost of Merlin, would it not be just so?
