🐙 Daily Cephalopod Fact: 🐙
Mimic Octopus: Mimic octopuses have been observed mimicking numerous different species of animals, some animals being mimicked more often than others. Among the animals mimicked are lionfish, sea snakes, jellyfish, and zebra sole. The octopus' mimicry of flatfish may be its preferred guise. Not only does the mimic octopus use its ability to defend itself from predators, but it also uses aggressive mimicry, to approach wary prey, for example mimicking a crab as an apparent mate, only to devour its deceived suitor

I’ve made another CEP extra, this time for the Tinkle Trainer 6000 or more commonly known as the base game potty! I thought it would be cute if the seats could be recolored separately and now they can.
All your previous recolors for the potty will still work, but the seat is a different subset now so you’ll need new recolors for it. That’s where I come in, I’ve made a few to get started. All 10 Cluedo Colors and 15 of Poppet’s colors. I have no idea what palette they came from but they're from their Nursery recolors of the potty (and other items). The matching potty recolors from the Cluedo colors are found here.
To install the CEP Extra:
Place the file named "documents" in Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection\zCEP-EXTRA or a similar path if you don't have the ultimate collection.
Place the file named "pfiles" in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Double Deluxe\Base\TSData\Res\Catalog\zCEP-EXTRA or a similar path if you don't have the ultimate collection.

Porcini, cep, penny bun (Boletus edulis)
This is the absolute gold-standard of wild fungi, and was a wonderful gift from my neighbours who came home from mushroom hunting with their family with far too many.
It's incredibly hearty and flavourful and can be used in any mushroom dish - risottos and stews are especially good. My favourite use is to dehydrate it, as I'm doing here, in order to have it for months to come to add to soups, stews and broths.

Fungi February: The porcini mushroom can vary wildly in size, ranging from small buttons to growing up to 30-40cm in diameter and 3kg in weight! Though tasty, it can be difficult to find one you'd want to eat because molds and fly larvae like to eat them, too.
Disclaimer: Don’t rely on pictures of cute mushrooms with eyes to accurately identify edible mushrooms. At best the wrong one will taste bad, at worst it’ll be deadly!

Hydrangea CEP EXTRA + Recolors
I’m very excited to present you the CEP EXTRA for hydrangea bush. And some recolors for it too, yay! 🥳
The CEP comes in two parts - one goes into zCEP-EXTRA folder in your program files and the other one into your documents.
@jacobaoconnor also did their version of the CEP, it can be found here.
Comes with seasons-enabled recolors for the Maxis bush (this one looks best with my texture default replacement for it), seasons-enabled recolors for my new default replacement bushes (found here) as well as seasons-enabled recolors for my custom hydrangea bush (same link as the last one).

Recolors of my custom bushes do not require CEP EXTRA to function.
Most of the textures for my new DR shrubs and their custom versions were taken from Syboulette’s hydrangeas from their “A la ferme” set (also, @nikaonishko converted them here).
For Maxis hydrangeas I HIGHLY recommend having Voeille’s aka @an-elegant-simblr plant fixes, otherwise they will all revert to default flowers in winter!

P.S. I will definitely make resized and repositoried Maxis hydrangeas in the future!
EDIT:
It was brought to my attention that when overgrown, all recolors revert to default blue color and stay that way. Nothing I did to solve this issue worked so the best solution to this is using Perfect Plants mod.

Two simple CEP extras for Apartment Life’s Stack of Books and the Double-Helix Designer Bookshelf from the base game that slave the book textures to the Craftmeister Booknook, so that any retextures for those books will work for these items as well.
Important! The Double-Helix already had two recolorable subsets, so if you use this CEP Extra it means that you will lose the possibility to recolor the glass shelves. The back is still recolorable as usual.
Some recolors for the Craftmeister books that I know of can be found here (the Book Recolours download) and I will upload some myself soon here.
