I love the idea of Alex's farm being this safe place for LIs so much! I don't think Sydney would ever live there because they have a good home with Sirris (maybe they could visit), but what if you could convince Kylar to stay there if you like. Idk, built a really sturdy shed to put his parents in xD And Kylar is already a whiz at science! He could expand on Alex's lab and make pepper spray for everyone to use on Remy's thugs! Plus I know it would be sooo much easier to just have an option to walk to school (with Kylar or Whitney or Robin) from the farm, and then walk back to the farm after school. Oh! And we could teach them all how to ride horses! That could be hilarious!!
Sweetheart slow down, yes all the ideas are delightful but I still couldn't grasp the "Kylar parents"?
Lya kinda kicked his ass to the prison without further exploring his manor, so... uhm, anybody explain plea- ROBIN I TOLD YOU TO NOT TRY AND RIDE THE CENTAUR YOURSLEF WITHOUT ALEX OR ME AROUND OH MY GOD HOLD IT HOLD IT HOL-

The Bad Parents would see Kristen in crisis, sort of in free fall, and all endeavour to help her. She's a kid who had to leave home because her parents are bigots. Then she moved in with her girlfriend's family (which thankfully is also her best friend's family). But do you ever think she was scared, even briefly, that she'd have nowhere to go when she and Tracker broke up? Like maybe in the back of her mind she wondered if the grace they'd shown her was because she was Tracker's girlfriend.
I think the bad parents would have rallied around her. Jawbone who knows how hard she's been grinding at school. Sandra Lynn who fully understands what it's like to be a young woman in crisis. (And who is used to dealing with Fig's special brand of bullshit; Kristen's problems might seem easier to tackle.) Wilma and Digby who are so kind and understanding but don't put up with bullshit and won't be pushovers. Even Sklonda who didn't want Riz's friends exploiting him, but you can't tell me she wouldn't hear from Riz that Kristen is Acing her cleric classes and crushing it on the campaign, and now you're telling Sklonda this girl who's really applying herself in shitty circumstances is being punished for it and on top of that it's going to effect her own kid's academics and future. Get the fuck outta here.
Kristen just needs one adult to march into that school with her and say "You're out of order." Like the school may be able to push around some kid and force her through hoops, but Sklonda or Sandra Lynn? No way. "You can't expel her. Kristen has perfect grades and is an active student in extracurriculars. What do you mean, 'She fails because her deity is dead'? Does Kristen still believe in her? Yes. Does Kristen still have her magic? Yes. How then can her goddess be dead? Last I checked Cassandra is a goddess of mystery. Just because you don't understand the mystery doesn't mean you have the right to punish Kristen for it. In fact combined with the cleric teacher's behaviour, this constitutes discrimination on religious grounds." Like... "Who's in charge here? You don't have someone qualified at the head of your administrative faculty? I'm going to have a class action suit brought against the school on behalf of the student body and you don't have Arthur Aguefort here to protect you."
Kristen needs an adult to reasonably address these issues on her behalf and failing that, an adult who will be mean.
Put me in a room with whoever you want from that school and I'll eat them alive. I'll make them cry. I don't care if Jace Stardiamond is evil or not. And I certainly don't care what big tent megachurch bullshit Bobby Fucking Dawn slithered out from. Fuck him and his Kentucky-fried drawl. I'll crush him.
(Side note: Kristen should have immediately begun whatever emancipation process Solace has because Mac and Donna should not be making legal and medical decisions on her behalf.)

Could you please do a gay centaur or drider couple that adopted a human? I just think it would be a cute story watching them try to learn and raise a human
December Christmas Monster stories
December 6.) Centaur + Drider dads, spider
Gosh I loved writing this one. Thank you so much for this request, I definitely plan on writing about these two dads again.
Warnings: child abandonment
Like always minors don't interact, I don't make content for you.

Hominos and Zanru knew they were getting themselves in a world of trouble when they found that little wailing basket in the woods.
They had gone out to go pick berries by the stream Bringing their woven basket made from pine needles that Hominos had made in his spare time. The two were chatting, holding hands as they walked as close as Zanru's spindly legs would let Hominos get before it became a little awkward for the drider to walk. That's when they heard the strange wailing from some bushes near the shore line of the stream.
Hominos wanted to just walk away thinking it might be an animal mimicking the cry of a young child to draw in prey. It had happened in these woods before he wouldn't be surprised if such creatures had come back. Zanru on the other hand wanted to go check it out. He didn't want to chance it being an actual child and leave them there to die. Of course Hominos followed with his husband, he would follow him into the after world if Zanus led him there.
Both being careful leaned down closer to the wailing bush and pulled the branches away from each other to get a look. Time seemed to freeze for a moment as Hominos and Zanru stared down at the bundle of blankets wrapped around a little face red from crying so loudly seeking out someone to comfort them. The baby was placed in a wooden basket, it was a little dirty but other than that it was keeping the baby safe and sound.
Smiling a sharp toothy smile Zanru reached a hand down gently rubbing the knuckles of his hand against the baby's face, he had to be mindful of his long sharp claws.
“Shhh darling everything is alright now.” He whispered in his silky smooth voice trying to calm the little babe. Hiccupping the baby slowed it's wails to a quiet sob. With a soft hum Zanru carefully picked the baby up and held the little baby in it's bundle close to his chest. “Where is your people little one? Why are you all alone?” Zanru asked in a soft voice, he knew he would get no answer from the baby of course. Looking around Hominos sighed shaking his head. “There's no sign of anyone nearby. I think the poor thing is out here all alone.” He said looking up to his taller husband. Hominos’ height was nothing to scoff at he was a tall centaur, his lower half a large bulky build, a work horse. He often dealt with heavy lifting, holding an intimidating aura about him but it paled in comparison to his drider husband who towered above him. His eight legs an inky black that seemed to absorb the light around him. Zanru's upper half was less frightening but only by a little. His mouth held large fangs often seeming too big for his mouth and he had more than one set of eyes on his face ever watchful of his surroundings. Black met gray at his waist with little white speckles. Zanru called them spots and Hominos called them freckles, he himself having freckles of his own.
Though both were large and one was dreadfully frightening the little baby in Zanru's arms didn't seem to be scared. Sense being picked up the baby had stopped crying and was now giggling as they wiggled around wanting to be released from the confines of the blanket prison. “Oh Hominos we can't leave this little thing out here alone.” Zanru whispered as he gently touched the baby's cheek. Hominos sighed as he nodded his head in agreement. “Let's get them home. Who knows how long it's been out here. Must be starving.” He mumbled brows knitted together as he looked at the baby with concern. Leaning down he grabbed the basket the baby had been in. No use in leaving behind a perfectly good basket behind. The whole walk back Zanru was looking down at the tiny giggling face as he wiggled his clawed fingers in front of the baby's face. “Halfling maybe? So small. I don't think there's more than two legs in there.” Zanru said inspecting the bundle. “Satyr maybe?” Hominos chimed in. Neither really knew what species the baby was, both waiting to get home to take the blanket away and see.
Stepping through the large door Zanru made his way to the fireplace. The ashes long cold from the last fire. There was no need for the summer days were hot and the nights were spent cuddling each other stealing each other's warmth. Sitting down Zanru curled his long legs under himself, tucking his legs up safely as he gently set the baby down on the soft rug. Glancing to Hominos he waited watching his husband set the two baskets down on the table before making his way over to him with heavy clops of his hooves. Sitting down on his chair, which was just of large cushions on the floor, Hominos waited with bated breath.
“Love I think you might be more worried than I am.” Zanru said with a soft chuckle, ignoring or completely unaware that his own hands were lightly trembling as he hovered them above the smiling wiggling baby. Swallowing his nerves Zanru looked down to the baby as he started to unravel the blanket.
The sight hidden under the blanket caused him to freeze as he let out a gasp. Hominos leaned forward trying to get a better look. His eyes widening seeing the baby. The human baby. Looking to Zanru Hominos let out a heavy breath. “What do you want to do?” He asked, speaking quietly, almost afraid to speak above a whisper. Hominos didn't speak as he watched his husband slowly wrapped his long fingers around the baby carefully picking them up. Smiling softly, Zanru held the baby to his chest. “We keep them.” Zanru whispered gently, rubbing the babys squishy cheek. Nodding his head Hominos smiled softly, he didn't mind following him down this road too.
Humans weren't unheard of but they were rare in these parts so finding information about them was a struggle. Every time Hominos went into town for work he would ask around for any books on humans or things made by humans for humans. Lot of it was bullshit. Hominos wasn't an idiot he knew humans didn't breathe fire like one of the books he found said. He did find some real information about humans. Enough to make sure the two could properly take care of the baby they had adopted.
One of the books talked about a human celebration of Christmas. Zanru liked the idea of it, he wanted the baby to be able to experience things from his culture along with his parents' cultures so it was decided to celebrate it once the summer had stretched into winter. Sure the baby was too young to remember it but new parents are eager parents and Zanru wanted to do his best. Doing as much research as he could Homnios would read the books out loud to Zanru while he held the baby feeding them while they both sat by the fireplace. Zanru agreed with Hominos that putting a tree inside was strange but at least they could use it for firewood once it died and use the pine needles to make more baskets so it wasn't a waste. Just messy and a bit sticky. It was rather fun decorating it as a family. The tree looked awful; they didn't really have anything proper to decorate it but seeing the baby happily giggling as they waved the trinkets meant to go on the trees was a memory they both were going to keep for years.
One of the nights Hominos was holding the baby safely in one large arm as he held his other hand up letting the baby hold onto his hand chewing on it with his soft gums while Zanru knitted a little sweater for the baby. It was a pleasant night sitting by the fire as it snowed outside. A stew simmering filling the cabin with a delicious smell. Neither regretted taking in that baby. It was tricky and they had a lot to learn still but quiet nights like this was wonderful. Any struggle was worth it in both of their eyes. “We should probably name the little thing. Can't keep calling them baby and little thing all their life.” Hominos said after a few minutes of silence, the only sound was the faint crackle of the fire. “What do you suppose we name them my darling?” Zanru hummed not looking up from his knitting. Hominos looked back down to the baby who was attempting to eat his finger with furrowed brow. “What was the name of the man in red from the book?” He asked trying to remember it. “Santa?” His husband answered glancing his way. “I don't care much for naming out child that.” Zanru said shaking his head. “No no that that the other name.” Hominos said brows furrowing more as the tried to think harder about it. “Oh. You mean saint Nicholas?” Zanru said smiling as he set his needles down. “Mm yeah that. Nicolas. How about Nicolas?” He asked looking over to Zanru. His face growing softer as he watched his husband get up and stride over to him. “Our little Nicolas.” Zanru whispered sitting down next to Hominos. Leaning against the centaur he smiled as he gently rubbed Nicolas’ cheek drawing the attention from Hominos hand to his own. “Someone thinks hands are tasty.” Hominos joked seeing Nicolas try to put Zanru's finger into their mouth. To which Zanru didn't allow upsetting Nicolas making them cry. “Looks like someone needs a bottle.” Zanru said getting up to get a bottle ready. This night of domestic bliss was perfect. Neither wanted it to end.

Y'all are aware of that 10 hour Harry Potter retrospective but the thing that gets me the most out of that whole thing that I never considered when reading the series is that wizards can obviously chose to adhere to the Statute of Secrecy but like... Magical creatures can't make that choice and Fantastic Beasts literally starts with Newt chasing down a rogue niffler, meaning that muggles probably frequently encounter magical creatures. There's no way that muggles and magical creatures could reasonably be segregated- Hermione's cat is half magical creature so how many muggle cats are also half neasel?
Like why on earth would you invent a world in which you have scores of animals, and also plants, that cannot reasonably consent to secrecy from muggles and the excuse of witch trials falls flat when actual magic exists that should factor into how those witch trials play out but never seems to come up. Anyway, the most unrealistic thing about a universe with magic and dragons and shit is that muggles would somehow never run into and remember a magical creature, there's zero way the wizards could catch every muggle who has seen something and obliviate them that's a herculean task designed to fail I refuse to believe no nifflers have ever stolen some muggles shit enough that they'd know what them little bastards were.
#winters ramblings#also why would creatures like centaurs who dont like wizards have to not talk to muggles?? its not like wizard treat them well#for them to fear muggle discrimination. why would THEY bother?? house elves?? no human has ever seen one??#Tolkien saw a house elf thats why gollum looks like that. like NO WAY through the ENTIRETY of the post SoS#that EVERY muggle who has seen magical creatures has been sufficiently mind wiped#also the dursleys clearly know about wizards and magic so how is it that the muggles of muggleborn kids#never seem to factor into the worlds politics?? what do THEY think of not being able to warn their other family#of the hreat of dark wizards?? what do they think of all those muggles being obliviated?? surely theyd be keenly aware#that if they leave their wizard partner its ENTIRELY PROBABLE that THEIR minds will be wiped??#H O W does this group of people have no voice in the series??!? like did hermione just never tell her parents#about that time DEMENTORS were guarded hogwarts from a mass murderer?? like Sirius was innocent but ???#did they not think they should have a right to have their magical kid educated WITHOUT happiness sucking monsters#and actual mass murderers PLUS dark wizards??!? what did THEY think of the slave house elves??#i want a story from THAT point of view and also how do these people not play into the worlds politics??#no way that the mugfles that DO know about wizards would be FINE eith having no say#and also magical creatures are 200% walking into people's gardens and eating shit#some mugfle is out there shitting bricks watching a hippogriff eat their roses and snapping pics#with their 1998 kodiak camera

Thinking about being a demigod as a metaphor for neurodivergency
Thinking about demigods fighting monsters no one else can see, thinking about the mist, how mortals just can’t see it. Thinking about Mrs Dodds, and how everyone told Percy he was crazy for remembering her. How ableism and insults are just so typical in places like a high school and yet if you’re neurodivergent and remember it years after school, you’re called crazy and obsessed because “it wasn’t that bad” and “you need to move on”. How Nancy Bobofit called Percy special. How Chiron (a centaur) was the only teacher to be actually nice and understanding of Percy, since he too wasn’t a mortal. How mortals can’t see the monsters and swords, how they can’t see the struggles we face and our defense mechanisms/ways to cope. How demigods just trying to defense themselves against monsters are seen as “evil” or a threat by mortals, because they can’t see than the reason they made that thing explode was to survive, than the bump on their car wasn’t actually made on purpose, but by a monster throwing them against it. How the world is dangerous to demigods, how they always have to stay alert, how there was always something off about them growing up. How they might have known they were demigods since a young age, or if not demigods, they knew something was different about them. Like Annabeth, who kept attracting monsters and decided to run away at just 8. She knew, her father knew, her family knew. There was no point in hiding it, no point in pretending it wasn’t there, everyone could see it. Thinking about Percy, how his mom knew, and how she made sure to help Percy no matter what, how she never cared. Thinking about Leo, who didn’t know until he was a teenager, who figured out on his own, who’s childhood was traumatized by his powers, how being a demigod completely ruined what would have been a lovely childhood. Thinking about Percy’s time in school, thinking about the demigods having adhd and dyslexia, thinking about how “their brains are trained for ancient greek/latin” and how they have trouble understanding what everyone else can easily read. Sure, it’s dyslexia, but it can also be something else. Their brains are not trained for neurotypical social cues, that’s not a language their fluent in, they have their own language, which neurotypicals can’t understand. How if they tell someone they’re a demigod, they won’t believe them, and think they’re weird. How it’s not something they can mention unless around the right people (other demigods, gods, mythological creatures, or parents of demigods kids, which in this scenario, is anyone with a connection to neurodiversity). How the parents sometimes are aware their kid is a demigod (like Sally), because they know the other parent was a god, in this scenario, they’re aware of the possibility of a neurodivergent kid because they slept with a neurodivergent person. Except sometimes they don’t know the other parent is a god, they don’t know their kid is a demigod. How someone can have neurodivergent kids, who’s neurodivergency is passed down from their other parent, except the other parent is not diagnosed. How, even still the neurodiversity community, there’s still stigma and stereotypes. How they treated Nico, even if he was just like them, simply because he didn’t fit. How the more visibly demigod you are, if you’re the child of one of the big three, the more monsters you attract, the more dangerous life becomes, how the moment a demigod realizes they're a demigod, they can't hide it, they attract more monsters, there’s no turning back.

Centaur Aliens Lifespan: 80 years Adult weight: 500-1000 kg Adult height: 2.5-4 meters Visual range: near infrared to blue Diet: Obligate hypercarnivores Centaurs' evolutionary ancestors were savanna pack predators who used ambush to hunt prey, nomadically following prey animal herds as they traveled round the global continent every year. Modern centaurs emerged when they started to use tools to help with hunting and land management, eventually resulting in some groups settling down and becoming reliant on fishing, animal agriculture, and food preservation to survive. Centaurs remain obligate hypercarnivores, meaning approximately 70% of a healthy diet is meat and animal products, but they opportunistically supplement their diet with grain, starchy tubers, and small amounts of roughage and vegetation. Similar to humans, centaurs have a bisex reproductive system with an inseminator sex and gestator sex who gave birth to live young, but functionally are more akin to Earth's marsupials. Centaur’s distant ancestors had larvae that lived in the soil like grubs before pupating into adults, and their viviparous silk eating clade first emerged after parental care of the larval stage evolved. While other members of their clade have development and pupation both happen in-utero, centaur litters leave the womb early and feed on their parent’s nutritive silk until they are large enough to pupate, spinning a cocoon on their parent’s back. They emerge as an imago, resembling a miniature adult with the physical capacity of an six-week old kitten. Centaurs are pseudo-eusocial, with a social structure hierarchy somewhat similar to meerkats. At its most basic level a clan consists of one matriarch, a female who is responsible for bearing the clan's young; the entourage, who are the matriarch's partners and usually mostly male; and the clan's "workers," who are not involved in reproduction. These non-reproductive clan members are generally either the matriarch's children, childless relatives, or individuals married in for their skills or political purposes. y/n l/n didn't plan on leaving camp half-blood.
she didn't plan on leaving her siblings and close friends, and her boyfriend. well, now ex boyfriend.
that was too complicated for her to even understand. one moment luke wanted everything to do with her. he wanted to be around her 24/7, and show how much he appreciated her. but recently he got distant, and wouldn't explain why.
y/n hated confrontation, so she decided to just ditch camp all together after the couple officially split less than 24 hours ago. she doubted anyone would go looking for her.
oh how wrong she was.
annabeth chase and percy jackson were on a hunt for luke castellan.
they were given direct orders from chiron to find the child of hermes. neither of them dared to question the centaur, making them search for luke as quick as they could.
annabeth's shoudlers dropped in relief once they came across luke. he was practicing his sword work against a dummy made out of hay and old fabric.
"do you have any idea why chiron would send us looking for you?" annabeth was straight to the point. percy was standing beside her, just as determined to get answers.
luke shrugs, "is there another new camper?"
percy shakes his head, "he seemed pretty urgent about it. you might want to follow us back to the big house."
the trio walked in silence back through the woods and through the cabins until they got to the big house. chiron was waiting for them anxiously at the end of the steps.
"thank you percy, annabeth," chiron thanks them for finding luke. "i'm not sure if you three are aware, the camp may be in danger. thalia's tree has been poisened. we aren't sure how or why, but all we need is the solution. a healer."
chiron looked towards luke when he finished his statement.
"again, i'm not sure if you're aware that y/n of apollo cabin has been missing since late last night."
all three have different expressions of shock on their face. luke however is mostly hurt. he couldn't believe y/n would just run off like that. he wondered if it was from the argument they had.
"i'm sending you three to go find her, and bring her back safely in order for her to save the tree and the camp," chiron instructs.
"we don't even know where she went," luke points out.
"yeah, she could be anywhere in the world," percy adds.
annabeth looks between the two boys, "wasn't she saying how if she could get away for the weekend she'd go to greece?" she ends her observation while looking at luke.
the boy quickly nods, "yes. she always loved the idea of," he pauses and his voice gets quieter, "running away to greece together."
after a moment, chiron speaks again. "so it's settled. you three will go search for y/n, daughter of apollo, and bring her back to camp to heal thalia's tree and save the camp. good luck to you all."
"we've been in this boat for hours," percy groans.
annabeth stops steering the large boat as luke stops tying a rope. they both turn to him.
"we've been on the water for maybe twenty minutes seaweed brain," annabeth teases.
"wait," luke walks closer to the younger campers, "if your dad's poseidon, why can't you just push us all under water through like an air bubble?"
"it would look a little suspicious if three teenagers showed up to an island with no boat and dry clothes," annabeth mentions, making luke's idea sink to the bottom of the ocean.
luke speaks up again, "what if y/n doesn't come back to camp with us?"
annabeth and percy don't have an exact answer for luke. that only makes him worried this quest won't work out in their favor.
"we'll cross that bridge when we get there," annabeth responds. "right now we just have to get to greece."
after docking their own boat at the port of athens, the trio was quick to buy three tickets for the local ferry. annabeth grabbed a map as luke and percy were trying to figure out the best method for finding y/n.
they agreed to search all the islands as quick as humanly possible. they'd ask locals if they knew of a strong healer, and if any of them were given an answer that resembled the idea of y/n living there, they'd know to check that island.
after searching through three and a half different islands, getting on and off multiple ferries, and still with no luck of finding the apollo girl, the trio was debating on giving up. until annabeth looked at the map again. she mentioned to luke and percy about one more island where y/n might be. it was much smaller so they could search more thoroughly.
it was almost sunset once they reach the island, meaning they had maybe an hour or two to find y/n in the daylight.
the trio split up as soon as they stepped foot onto the dock. percy searched the perimeter near the edges of the water. annabeth searched through the bundles of shops and hotels. while luke searched through abandoned looking buildings.
as all hope was feeling lost, luke noticed a building of to the side of the commotion. there was a dirt path leading up to it, with no shops or houses surrounding it.
he could only hope and pray that y/n would be inside.
the inside of the building did not match its exterior. the outside looked as if it was going to fall apart at any gust of wind. however the inside was much more lively than luke expected it to be. there were people inside rushing to get past one another. it seemed as if they were all rushing to get to the same person.
luke pushed through the small crowd, and all the air left his lungs when he saw y/n. she was helping someone from the island, who seemed to have a deep cut on his leg. luke could finally guess this was the hospital on the island.
"y/n," luke spoke up, making the commotion in the room subside.
y/n and luke's eyes locked. neither of them were sure what to do.
y/n excuses herself and drags luke outside by his wrist.
"what on earth do you think you're doing here?"
"i had to come and find you," luke tried to explain but y/n only cut him off.
"so you just followed me? i seriously don't want to be around you luke. i thought running away from you and camp would've gotten that through your head."
"y/n i didn't chase after you to try and fix this," he gestures between the two of them, "there's a serious problem at camp."
y/n chuckles, "what? did peter fall off the climbing wall and scrape his elbow again? or did sophie run into a tree for the fifth time this week?"
"y/n this is serious," luke tries to tell her.
"you can't be serious. you dragged annabeth and percy with you?" y/n gestures to the pair walking towards them with urge in their steps.
"i didn't drag them here, please you have to come back to camp," luke tries again.
"is he telling the truth?" she asks percy.
he nods, "thalia's tree is in danger, and so is the camp."
"why didn't you start with that idiot," y/n hits luke's arm before running back inside. she was quick to grab her things. she kind of threw everything into one bag that she might need at camp. most of her healing equipment and a change of clothes.
the boat ride back to long island was awkward, to say the least. percy and annabeth were both asleep in the downstairs area of the boat, while luke and y/n were dealing with directing the boat back to camp.
luke was steering, while y/n was sitting beside him. an awkward silence filled the air.
"what made you go to greece?" luke asks, not expecting the girl to answer.
"i just needed to get away," she busies herself with her rings on her fingers.
"from me?"
"from all of it. i just needed a break."
silence falls upon the two again. y/n only moves over to lean her head against luke's shoulder, instantly catching him off gaurd.
"i'm sorry i left," y/n admits, her voice as quiet as a mouse.
"you had your reasons. it just caught us off gaurd, that's all."
another beat of silence passes.
"that night, of our argument, i found something out. about us," y/n turns to face luke. he does the same to her, not caring about steering the boat at this very moment.
"i don't even know how to tell you," y/n rubs her hands over her face. luke simply takes her shaking hands into his, and runs his thumbs over her knuckles.
"i'm pregnant."
luke's world stopped. maybe he thought he was just hearing things. the waves probably distorted y/n's words.
after luke still didn't respond, y/n started explaining herself.
"i was worried you wouldn't react too well to it. so i figured not telling you would be the easiest thing to do. and coming here, to greece, was the best bet."
y/n's heart broke as she watched luke stand. he silently put the steering wheel in it's locked position, before going down the stairs where the four twin beds were.
y/n knew she fucked up. she didn't know how to fix it. or if it could even be fixed.

Do you think Fig ever came out to any of her parents? Or did she just show up with a girlfriend?
I always wonder if that was a conversation she had with Sandra Lynn, especially. And if so when did it happen? Has Fig known she was queer since middle school? Or is this a freshman year revelation? Or on spring break of Sophomore year did she see Ayda and go, "Oh fuck! I'm into women!"
Obviously she doesn't need to come out. She's in a sapphic relationship, calls herself Ayda's paramour and refers to her girlfriend so it's pretty obvious to everyone close to her. But I'm curious if at some point when they had a moment she was like, "btw I'm bi" (or whatever the case may be, idk if her canonical sexuality has been mentioned.)
Kristen realizing she's a lesbian and coming out was an important character arc for her. A big deal. And I don't think Fig needs that because her circumstances are so different and it's great to have a variety of queer stories—the hard ones where coming out means leaving home and a bigoted family/support system and starting over with new people; and the easy ones where you just one day show up with a girlfriend and no one calls attention to the fact it's a same-sex relationship and everyone's supportive; and all the stories in between.
I'm just curious if it's a conversation she had with Sandra Lynn, Gilear or Gorthalax at some point and whether it was more her coming out or if it was after Ayda and just her parents checking in.

Hi ! I just love your writing ! ❤️ Also, I was wondering if you could write a story in which the reader is Thalia’s sister and dating Luke. The reader always thought that Luke liked Thalia and thinks that Luke only dates her because she reminds him of Thalia. She shares her doubts with Annabeth who tries to comfort her and Luke overhears their conversation. Then Luke talks to the reader about it reassuring he loves her for her and it’s all fluffy. Also, to add little angst, the reader has been traumatized by Thalia’s “transformation” and beats herself up thinking that it’s her fault that her sister is a tree.
thank you so much! sure, i can do this!!
luke castellan x daughter of zeus!reader
warnings: angst, self doubt, trauma, fluff at the end
sorry if this is bad i haven’t written angst in a hot minute
Your memory of the day you arrived at camp was still as vivid as it was when it happened. You, Grover, Annabeth, Luke, and your little sister were on the run from a horde of monsters, all of them attracted to the strong scent of the daughters of Zeus.
You were sprinting up the hill, breath ragged. Luke, Annabeth, and Grover were ahead of you. “We’re almost there!” Grover shouted. “Just keep running!”
You were exhausted, running for days with no help from any of your godly parents, but you had to keep going.
You looked back to make sure Thalia hadn’t fallen behind, but she had her shield up, showing Medusa’s face to the monsters that were catching up.
“We can’t outrun them!” she yelled. “I can slow them down, go on without me!”
Thalia started to run toward the monsters, but you grabbed her arm. “I can’t let you go. We can make it, please try to keep going.”
“I have to! Aegis will keep them at bay for a little while. It’s me they’re following,” she reasoned, her eyes stormy and unyielding.
“Thalia, don’t. They want me too. I’ll go instead, I won’t let you die for me,” you proposed desperately.
“You’re always doing things for me, let me do this for you. Let me repay my big sister.” She pulled her arm out of your grasp and turned to run at the monsters before you could stop her.
“Come on!” Grover yelled from the top of the hill, Annabeth and Luke now far in front of him. “They’re catching up!”
“I’m not leaving her!” you protested. Grover met you in the middle and grabbed hold of your arm, practically dragging you to camp as you shouted several curses at him. “Let me go!”
“I can’t. My mission is to get you across that border, and I’m not letting two of you die for the rest of us.” Grover was gritting his teeth, struggling to keep hold of you as you made it across the boundary.
You watched in horror as Thalia jabbed with her spear and missed, the Fury’s whip coming down hard and hitting her over the head, knocking her to the ground. She didn’t get up.
The biggest lightning bolt you’d ever seen struck the ground, sending the hellhounds into a panic. The monsters retreated, half victorious, as they only managed to kill one of you.
From the place where Thalia died, a large pine was growing rapidly out of the ground, and a magical force field spread across the woods, strengthening the border you just crossed.
Luke grabbed your shoulder, forcing you to turn away from the scene. His eyes were cast to the ground. He couldn’t look. “Come on,” he said, his voice breaking.
You walked past the strawberry fields with Luke’s arm around your shoulders keeping you stable. You couldn’t say anything. You knew that if you did, you would break down.
Annabeth was sobbing beside Grover, who was leading the three of you to the Big House, where Chiron stood on the porch, looking solemn. You weren’t even shocked by his centaur form. The image of Thalia’s body hitting the ground was still replaying in your mind.
You woke with a start, sweating profusely and breathing heavily. Five years later, and you still had nightmares like this. It was always the same scene over and over. You could never escape that night.
You slowly sat up in your bed, pulling the covers back and placing your feet on the cold marble floor. You rubbed at your eyes, sighing as you knelt at your father’s statue in the middle of the cabin.
You never shared this space with Thalia, but you missed her like you had. Sometimes you would dream of her and you when you were small, and you would expect to wake up and see her asleep on the other side of the room.
You stared into the reflecting pool around the statue, barely recognizing who was looking back at you. The girl in the water was tired, and she looked like she hadn’t slept in days.
Looking up at your father’s carved face, you felt that familiar feeling of resentment. He had never helped you. When you were on the run, the only gift he gave was weapons for you and Thalia to defend yourselves with.
After you were claimed, it was like you never existed to him. He never answered your prayers, and he was never there for you when you needed him.
When you needed help facing Ladon on Luke’s quest, he was absent from the sky. You were forced to return to camp, two failures who learned to never rely the gods for help.
Luke was the only one you could relate to in that way. After that quest, you thought of each other differently. Finding that common ground changed your friendship into something more.
Sometimes you wondered if Luke saw Thalia when he looked at you. There would be moments where he would look at you like your sister was staring back, and he would get this sad glint in his eyes.
You certainly didn’t see her in your reflection. You’d looked for so long to find something that reminded you of her, but you could never find something good.
You had an aggression problem, which was about the only thing about you that resembled your sister. The only people you got along with were your boyfriend, Annabeth, and Grover.
Everybody at camp stayed clear of you anyways, as they were afraid of what you might do to them. Of course, you were more powerful than the others, and they were scared of that.
The day was off to a rough start. You were fifteen minutes late for breakfast, and when you entered the pavilion, heads turned. You were used to getting stared at, so you were able to ignore it.
You ate by yourself, keeping your head down. After breakfast, your first activity of the day was Ancient Greek with Annabeth.
You were reading out a boring passage to her when she stopped you at the end of a paragraph. “Are you having nightmares again?” she asked tentatively.
You looked up from the book. “Why do you ask?”
“You were late to breakfast. You’ve been looking so tired this past week. I’m worried. Luke’s worried. He says you’ve been distant,” she analyzed.
You sighed. “Yeah, I’ve been having them again. It’s the same as it’s always been.” You rubbed your hands over your tired eyes. “I can’t get it out of my head.”
“You haven’t told Luke?”
“No, I don’t want to stress him out. Besides, he probably sees enough of Thalia in me. Honestly, I think that’s why he’s with me. We all lost her that night, and he just needs something to remind him of her,” you confessed gloomily, picking at the corners of the pages.
Annabeth raised her eyebrows in surprise. “What are you talking about? Luke has liked you as long as I’ve known you. Thalia meant a lot to him, but you’re different from her. You mean something different to him.”
“Do you really think that’s why I’m with you?” Luke said, rounding the corner of the porch and making himself known. He had a hurt expression on his face.
“I’ll leave you alone,” Annabeth said awkwardly, standing up from her chair and hurrying away from the Big House.
“Luke, I-“
“I’m sorry to eavesdrop, but you can’t really think that.” He sat down next to you and pulled your hands away from the book pages. “Annabeth’s right, I’ve liked you forever. Thalia was like a little sister to me. The only time you remind me of her is when you get angry, and I’m not with you because of your anger,” he reassured, trying to make you believe him.
“Why are you with me?” Your voice came out small, and you were afraid of what he would say.
He shook his head, taking your face in his hands. “So many reasons. You’re smart, brave, and resourceful. You’re strong and beautiful. Honestly, you could name anything you don’t like about yourself and I promise you that I would love you regardless.”
“Do you mean that?”
“Yes,” he said sincerely.
You took a deep breath, ready to be honest with him. “In my nightmares, I see us on the night Thalia died. I see the moment she slipped away from me and I left her to fight on her own. I’m such a bad sister,” you admitted, voice breaking a little.
Luke looked pained at your words. His thumb was quick to wipe away a tear that had fallen. “What happened wasn’t your fault. Thalia was stubborn, once she got an idea in her head she wouldn’t let it go. You know that. If we let you go too, we would’ve lost you both. We couldn’t risk that.”
You were silent, taking in his reasoning and knowing that he was right. You leaned forward and kissed his lips softly. “Thank you, Luke,” you said quietly, resting your forehead against his.
“Of course.” He pushed a stray hair behind your ear. “Do you want me to sleep in your cabin tonight?”
“Yes, please.”
“Alright.” Luke pulled away and smiled at you. “What do you say we go zap some Dionysus kids in the strawberry fields?”
“That sounds like a great idea.” You grinned, already feeling much better.

TIME, CURIOUS TIME - L.C
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: the one where you first meet Luke and your entire world view changes.
Warnings: adoption, blood, character death
Wordcount: 3.6k
Masterlist: Time, passing
Tumblr media
If there was one thing that people needed to know about you, it's that you don't like bullies. You hated them in fact.
There was an anger inside of you. A primal anger that oozes from your pores at every instance. You were angry at everything in life, your mother for giving you up for adoption, your father for ignoring you. You were angry at the world for every single bad thing that happened.
You had only been at camp for four months and you had gotten into eight separate fights. Just like normal. Just like in the Foster homes.
Now you were sitting in Chiron's office with a black eye. You had gotten into a fight with one of the kids again and was being punished for it. Even though you thought that the punching he had received had been deserved.
Your eyes were trained at your hands as they rested in your lap. You did not want to look up and see the disappointment in his eyes.
"You are one of the most interesting campers I've ever had," he said, breaking the silence.
You looked up at him. That was not what you had expected him to say after what you had done. You were expecting more of a lecture.
"Why?" you questioned.
"You've been here 4 months and already proved that you are a superb archer and swordsman, a brilliant medic. Yet you fail to stop yourself engaging in this tomfoolery," he explained.
You thought about all that he had listed to you. You were a child of Apollo after all, you should be good at all of those things and you weren’t surprised that he thought it was an accomplishment. You didn't want to be anything like your family.
There was silence and you looked at the centaur, “Am I expelled?”
He chuckled to himself almost incredulously, "No. We don't kick students out when they are troublesome,"
Troublesome. That was one word to describe you.
You had always been seen as the problem and the solution was always to send you away. You were a problem of the highest degree and everyone agreed. Even Chiron.
Chiron looked at you, arms folded across your chest as you rolled your eyes, "You know. If we didn't already know your godly parent, I would assume you were an Ares kid,"
you scoffed, looking up at him. You hated where he was coming from but it made sense. That anger in your bones was reminiscent of an Ares kid.
"That felt like an insult," you spat out, bitter. You didn't want to be compared to any of them monsters.
He tilted his head to the side, not understanding why you saw your anger as some sort of problem, "It's not. It's a compliment,"
You wanted to scoff at the idea. Anger was not a positive trait and nobody had ever noticed a single positive trait inside of you.
Silence fell over the room and you looked away from him, feeling shame bubble up in your chest at the way you were acting; you didn't mean to act like a spoiled brat.
"Anyway. I still have to punish you. So you will be sentenced to a week's worth of night shifts at the infirmary," he said.
Your head whipped up, "A week? I only broke his nose!" You could have done worse and you would have if your siblings hadn’t pulled you off of the teenage boy.
Chiron nodded, remembering the way that the sixteen year old boy cradled his face, blood dripping down his chin as he looked at the thirteen year old girl. He had never seen an Ares kid look so defeated by such a little camper.
"You still broke a fellow capers nose. And your dessert privileges will be taken away for that duration," He said.
He smiled at you and you stood up, mumbling a thank you under your breath before you walked outside. This was going to be hell.
Tumblr media
If there was one thing that you hated more than anything, it was night duty. You looked around the medical bay and watched as the boy in there slept. He had a concussion and if it were up to you, he would be sent away but Chiron was a stickler to the rules - he needed 24 hour observation.
You walked around aimlessly, a cup of coffee in your hand.
Your life was a mess. You hated yourself. You hated the world. There was nothing here that made you want to stay and every day you looked out of that window in the Apollo Cabin, wondering if you would just leave. Its not like anyone would miss you.
That self loathing bubbled in your chest and you could feel it heavy on your chest.
This camp was supposed to be somewhere that all demigods are safe but in all truth, you had never been more lonely than you had been at Camp Half Blood. You felt abandoned by the Gods and the feeling was getting worse daily.
You were taken out of your thoughts by the sound of someone yelling. You brushed it off, everyone was always having nightmares at camp.
Then you heard them yelling for help and you realised something was wrong. Everyone would be asleep by now and you knew you would have to help.
You didn't want to play the hero. Everyone here acted like some sort of Greek hero and you hated it. But you knew you had to help so you looked around for something and spotted a sword at the side of the bed. You ignored the concussed teenager asleep in the bed as you picked the sword up, jotting down a note.
It was heavy in your hands and you didn't know how you would use it but knew you had to leave quickly. It was unbalanced, unnatural and you were not the best swordsman so you also picked up your bow and arrow, strapping that to your back before you ran off.
You rushed to the Big House for backup but as you got closer, you could hear the yells getting more desperate and knew there was no time. You had to help them and soon.
Muscle memory and adrenaline took you through the woods, trying to find where the voices were coming from.
You called out at the top of the hill, asking if there was anyone there but you heard nothing.
For a second, the noise had completely stopped and you felt your cheeks warm up. This had to be some sort of prank to get back at you for fighting the head of the Ares cabin.
You scoffed, turning around and preparing to leave. You could not believe that you fell for it and you could feel the embarrassment in your cheeks.
That's when you heard the little girls voice again, "Help! Somebody!"
You could see a figure by the camp sign now, illuminated by the fire. "Shit! Shit!"
There was no hesitation as you ran down the hill, not even stopping when you saw the fury hovering over the group of teenagers. There were four people there, one that you recognised as a satyr.
"Run annabeth! Take her Luke!" The main girl said, a large stick in her hands as she tried to bat the fury away.
You froze.
Fight or flight.
You could stay here and help the little girl as she held onto the boy's jacket or you could turn back and pretend that you haven't seen any of this. You knew the latter wasn't even an option.
"You don't have a real weapon!” The boy called out, eyes wide.
That's when you remembered you was there. You ran into the clearing and the kids turned to look at her in shock. They had not expected some hero to come out of the shadows but you were no hero, just someone who had stumbled into the situation.
You stepped into the clearing, "Here," you yelled out, throwing the girl the sword and she caught it quickly.
They all watched as you pulled your bow and arrow out, drawing it and taking a deep breath before shooting at the fury without any care for your own safety. At the same time, the punk looking girl stabbed the fury before being knocked to the floor.
The boy tucked the little girl into his chest as he watched the other girl get hit by the fury, falling over. He let out a yell.
You could only stand there and watch it all unfold. you didn't even know this girl's name and yet she was dying in front of you.
The little girl was sobbing now, the sounds muted as she tucked her head into the boys chest. He was trying to hide it but his chest was heaving up and down.
There was a second when the fury looked at you and you knew you were next. The fury was clutching its arm from where you had hit her. She looked at the camper, sneering before flying off. Her job was done.
In a matter of seconds, lightning struck the teenage girl and she began to turn into a tree, branches springing from her arms and greenery growing around her head.
There was silence. Nobody knew what to say, especially not you who was confused out of your mind.
You looked at the satyr and then you recognised him. He was the same one that saved you from that police station, "Grover, what's going on?” you asked, looking at the satyr.
His hands were shaking as he gestured towards them, "Meet our new residents of camp,"
"What the fu-" you pointed at the tree, yelling out in confusion, "What in the God's name is going on? She's a tree!"
The boy looked at you angrily and you recognised that look in his eye all too well, "The better question is who the hell are you?" The boy said defensively.
You threw your bow on the floor, adrenaline still coursing rapidly through your veins, "I saved your life," you spat the words out.
He walked over to you, towering over you and you wondered how old he was, "She still died," he spat out.
This close, you could see the cut on his jaw, the bruise growing on his shoulder and the tears that were drying on his cheeks. He looked almost ethereal in the fire light.
There was anger in both of your eyes and as you looked at him, you realised that nobody had ever looked at you like that. It was like looking at your reflection in the mirror.
You scoffed, ignoring the feeling in your chest, "I tried my best,"
Grover walked over, interrupting the two of them before they could get into a physical fight, "This is our Healer,"
There was silence as the two teenagers looked at one another, neither of them standing down. He seemed angry and it was understood but there was no need to take it out on you.
It was you who turned away first, "Come on in. You both need to be checked on and I'm working the night shift. Grover, go get Chiron,"
He nodded and when they reached the camp, Grover split off from the group to go to the Big House.
You could feel the tension in the air as you walked towards the medical hut. There was silence and you could remember how nerve wracking it was for you when you had arrived here. You felt a little bit rude for yelling at him now.
“This way,” you lead them to the medical bay and the boy with the concussion was out cold so you just turned the lights on, ushering the two inside.
You turned to the boy and decided not to make this too awkward, "How old is she?" You asked.
He narrowed his eyes at you before caving, "Seven," he said begrudgingly. He clearly didn't like you.
You turned to where the little girl was sitting on the bed and knelt down in front of her. You could remember how scared you were when you had arrived and you wanted to make it as comfortable for her as you could.
"What's your name, gorgeous?" You asked, trying to not scare her.
The little girl looked over your shoulder at the boy behind you and he nodded, arms folded across his chest. You was just making sure he thought that she was safe to talk
"Annabeth," she replied.
"That's such a pretty name. Now, tell me, does anything really hurt?" You asked with a smile.
She nodded and gestured down at her leg, "I twisted my ankle," she stated.
"Your ankle? Let me have a look," you sat down on the floor and looked up at the girl and she nodded. you then rolled up her trouser leg a little bit to look at it.
You examined it for a second, "It's a little swollen, do you want me to wrap it up?” Annabeth must have been so freaked out by all of this, you didn't want to scare her at all.
Annabeth nodded and you reached over to the side for some bandage and wrapped it around her ankle, tying it together before standing up.
You grabbed the Ambrosia, handing it to her, "Now. This is magic okay, you eat a little bit of this and it will male you feel better instantly,"
She was hesitant at first and then when she took a bite, she ate the whole bit. She smiled and looked at you, muttering a thank you.
You helped her up and then turned to look at the boy behind her, "I'll help your big brother now,"
Luke had been standing there the whole time, arms folded across his chest as he judged what you were doing. He didn't trust anything related to the Gods, especially not some weird medic.
"I don't need to be examined by a child," he said with a scoff
You looked at him again, narrowing your eyes, "I'm thirteen. I doubt you're much older than me,"
There was tension between the two young teenagers. Anyone worth a pulse could see it and they could tell that there was a shared anger between the two.
"Thirteen," he scoffed at the idea of you looking after him, "who taught you medical practices?"
You were starting to get mad. You couldn't understand why this kid wasn't going to just let you look after him when he needed it.
There was an anger at the gods on him that you recognised but there was no need to take it out on you.
"I'm a child of Apollo, i was born with it in my blood," You poked him in the chest before stepping back, "Now sit your ass down,"
He looked at Annabeth and she gave him a smile like she wanted him to get looked after. He sighed, he couldn’t let her down so he sat down on the bed.
You folded your arms across your chest, "Same question I asked Annabeth. Does anything really hurt?" You asked. You were mean to him, ignoring all of your bedside manners.
He shook his head, lips pursed together, "You didn't ask me what my name was,"
You sighed, folding your arms across your chest, "What's your name?" You asked, tone dripping in sarcasm.
"Luke," he looked over at Annabeth and the girl was smiling now and he smiled too. It was the first time he’d seen her smile in weeks, "And I'm fourteen,"
You looked down at the injury for a second, "This needs stitches," you said when you saw a wound in his shoulder, it had cut through his shirt and was starting to bleed a lot more.
You could tell that he knew that he needed to get helped but that he was so stubborn that he wasn't going to get it done. It was a pretty bad wound.
"I'll be fine," he turned his head away, stubborn, "I don't need your magic, i don't need any help for the Gods,"
You were starting to get mad at him now. He was stubborn, too stubborn, "I don't work for them," you said, scoffing, "Now do you want it stitched up or not?"
There was silence for a second and then he nodded his head. He knew that he needed help even if he was a little bit reluctant to it. You smiled with the knowledge that you had convinced him.
"Annabeth, can you go and get changed into these nice new clothes? You can go into that little room there," you picked up some spare clothes from a pile and handed them to her.
The girl smiled before walking away, "Thank you,"
"You’re welcome sweetheart," you watched as she walked away, closing the door.
You could feel your heart sink in your chest. You couldnt imagine having to come here at such a young age, it broke your heart.
You turned around and looked at Luke, a smirk growing on your face, "You're gonna have to take your shirt off,"
There was a second where you could see the blush riding to hours bells at the idea but he decided to just be annoying about it.
He was cocky about it, pulling his shirt off slowly before handing it to you. You had to hide the blush on your cheeks as you pulled up a stool, sitting in front of him.
The cut wasn't just on his shoulder, it spanned down a couple of centimetres through his chest. You placed the stool in front of him, sitting down.
"This is gonna sting," you said as you brushed the area with a disinfectant. He winced at the feeling of it on his cut, hand clutching onto the bed underneath him.
You muttered a sorry as you pulled the wipe away, placing it down before putting your gloves on and getting ready to stitch him back up.
You gave him a look, “You know, I could just give you ambrosia, then it would heal quicker,” you suggested.
He shook his head, “I dont want help from the Gods. We do this like mortals or not at all,”
You could tell something had really happened to him in his life to make him hate the gods so much and whatever it was it must have been bad.
“You’re decision,” you muttered as you started to sew him up, starting on the easier part on his chest and then moving up to the deep section on his shoulder.
He was tense and you didn't know what to do to try and calm him down, he just had to sit there and get on with it. You didn't want to hurt him.
As you reached the last stitch on his shoulder, pulling it tight and then tying it, he winced and then muttered a curse word under his breath. you looked up at him, feeling guilty.
"Sorry," you muttered under your breath, “But i'm done now,”
"No, I'm sorry. I was a jerk to you," he muttered your name quietly after that, almost like he felt embarrassed that he had remembered and you looked up at him. You didn't know that he had remembered your name.
You could feel your cheeks warmed up at the idea and you gave him a half hearted smile, "Thanks," you said, brushing another wipe over his chest and shoulder.
"I am sorry. My friend just died," he explained, tears burning in the back of his eyes at the thought.
"She had a Heroes death," you said before scoffing and then looking around to make sure that nobody could hear, "Not that that's worth anything. The Gods still let her die, they let them all die,"
Luke's face lit up as you said that. Nobody had ever shared his hatred towards the Gods before and all of the anger that he had towards you vanished in as second as he looked into your eyes.
His smile was infectious and you could feel one growing on your face just at the sight of him, "You're right! They're awful,”
There was another lightning strike and you could hear the thunder rumbling outside of the camp. Zeus did not like that criticism of his role as a father.
"Might not want to say that here," you said with a laugh.
Luke laughed too and you smiled at the sound, it was nice to hear someone laugh. He liked it as well, he couldn't remember the last time he laughed.
You smiled to yourself. You couldn't remember the last time that you had laughed with someone. It was nice to feel connected to someone, even if you’d only just met.
You handed him a camp shirt, assuming his size. He thanked you before pulling it over his head and then fixing his hair.
Annabeth walked out wearing one of your old shirts. You smiled, reaching your hand out and feeling the girl take it. She instantly cuddled up to you, not fully understanding what had happened that night.
You held close, eyes meeting Lukes. He reached forward, brushing a hand over Annabeth’s hair.
"You look great, I’m just gonna show you guys to the cabin a-" you started to explain before Chiron walked into the room.
They all went silent and as he looked at the group, Grover standing by his side, her knew this was it. There was a bad feeling in his chest and he knew that the prophecy that he had been fearing was going to come true soon. How did he know? Just a feeling.

A/N: Parts of this fic come from my other fic The Outsiders (linked here) so don't worry if it looks familiar or if you think it's plagiarised, I wrote both versions. If you want to read that you can.
This is the first part of a three chapter fic and this will be nothing like my book. This is a seperate fic, the start is just familiar.
Also. They are thirteen and fourteen in this chapter but by the time there is any romance, they will be 18. Please don't be weird about them.

I have an idea, and just hear me out,
In quite a few myths Chiron was actually a mentor for Dionysus. Considering Dionysus didn't have any sort of decent parental figure, I'd like to imagine that while Dionysus was a demi-god Chiron was the closest thing he had to a parent.
Now, Dionysus was always more godly than human (having grown out of Zeus's thigh) so he was probably absolute hell to raise. The worst teenager Chiron has ever been put in charge of. He couldn't take his eye off of him for a minute or else some poor unsuspecting pedestrian would turn into a dolphin.
Eventually Dionysus is made an Olympian and several thousand years pass since Chiron has had to deal with a teenager quite like Dionysus.
(Side note, Chiron is invited to Dionysus and Ariande's wedding).
And then one day, our poor centaur mentor gets a call from Zeus saying he's going to have a new camp director in the form of a punished Olympian. Dionysus shows up with the same look on his face when he didn't get his way as a child. Chiron is both amused and horrified.
About a decade into Dionysus's punishment and Chiron is always respectful of Dionysus, he is an Olympian god after all and a powerful one at that. He is especially respectful when campers are around, trying to set a good example and not encourage the kids to be rude.
However, one day at dinner Chiron is trying to say something and Dionysus is arguing with him and just genuinely being annoying. Finally Chiron has enough and in the most stern voice any of the demi-gods has ever heard just goes "Boy, I raised you and I will put you in time out if you do not hush!"
Dionysus is silenced, stunned, bewildered even!
Some of the campers are terrified of what Mr. D will do. Some have gained a new fear of Chiron who would dare speak to a god like that.
Most are fighting for their lives trying not to laugh and get turned into a dolphin.
Chiron simply clears his throat and continues speaking. Dionysus doesn't say another word to anyone for the next week.
