self-celebration tag game
Thank you @turanga4 for tagging me! This is such a cool concept. I'm delighted to hear about your many happy moments, and I celebrate you too!
As for what I'm self-celebrating:
Fandom stuff:
I published 7 one-shots: Eighteen Months, Kissing Katie, Pure Love, On Her Terms, Teaching Rodolphus, Trust, and Confession.
Kissing Katie was my first f/f work and I really enjoyed it.
When my long-suffering (and very supportive) husband @rawr-gorg-smash read Pure Love, he said it was the closest I'd ever come to poetry. That felt good to hear.
Trust was my first foray into light bondage. I like how it turned out but I'm not sure it's something I'll do again!
I wrote two fics for two separate fests. I am SO excited to see them fully published.
By my estimation, I've written about 50,000 words since February 1st. I expect to be at 60k by the end of the week.
I hit a couple milestones in my AO3 stats that made me feel really good.
I JUST finished Someone Else's Life, the first 'medium' length fic I've written.
Non-fandom stuff:
I got a fellowship for the next academic year. It means I get another year of funding!
I got some money to go to a conference in March. I'm exploring jobs outside of academia, and this is going to be good for networking. Plus, I get to do a little traveling.
There was an evening recently in which I got the type of news that, in the past, would've had me go into a days-long depression spiral. I was going to take a depression nap, but I decided to use some cool therapy skills and channel what I was feeling into something creative. One of the fest fics I wrote is the product of that evening.
I'm looking forward to seeing the self-celebration posts of @artemisia-black, @messrmoonyy, @puppyduckster, @incalculablepower, @takearisk-ao3, and @in-love-with-remus-lupin!

happy 6 years to the-wonandonly! 🫶🏻 i'm so incredibly happy and grateful that i created this account and i get to share my love of both writing and kpop.
over these 6 years, a lot in my life has changed, but one thing that will always stay the same as the years advance is my love for all of my supporters and for my writing.
