you are in love | cedric diggory x fem!reader (part 1)
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
Cedric was content with what he had. He was prefect, quidditch captain and the unspoken partner of yours. He wouldn't want to risk a thing with you because everything is so good as it is. But when other students are thrown into the equation, at the end of the day, is he truly yours?
warnings: two dummies in love, reader is a Gryffindor
word count: 2.5k
a/n: This is my first fic published so I'm nervous!! But I'm going to try to make multiple parts for this one because it was just getting too long and I have so many ideas for Cedric (bc we were robbed!) Also not proofread! ₊˚⊹♡

Fred pushed the list of self made “Prettiest Girls at Hogwarts” in the new first years’ faces. The tiny moving portraits of the Hogwarts girls looked a little silly in the first years’ minds but the twins insisted that pictures solidify their case.
“These are who you lot should be aiming for,” he stated with confidence, utterly prideful of the list, “aside from y/n of course, she’s off limits.”
“Off limits? She said she didn’t have a boyfriend while she toured us though?” a small first year girl chirped. The twins exchanged a knowing look before chuckling slowly.
“The beautiful Gryffindor prefect, my little unknowing friends, is off limits because ah, right on time as usual” George dramatically cocked his head in your direction.
You had been eating your breakfast alone quite peacefully when you felt someone in yellow dawned robes slip into the open seat beside you.
“Cedric Diggory, Hufflepuff prefect, quidditch seeker-“
“And captain” George sang.
“And just all around dream boy. All the girls think he’s bloody fit.” Fred concluded.
“He has kind of an unspoken dibs on y/n. Has had one since last year when they became prefects. No one has even tried to make any advances on her cause of it.”
“Why’s that?” the first years were now all huddled close to the twins, listening with intense interest.
Fred rolled his eyes, “because look at the bloke!” A couple of students from neighbouring tables looked curiously in the direction of the loud proclamation. Looking around he leaned in closer to whisper, “Rumour has it he’s planning to put his name in for the Triwizard Tournament this year too. He’s as fit they come!”
“Not to mention he’s so bloody nice that you can’t even hate the bloke for being so perfect.” George finished as the rest of the table nodded along, absorbing the precious information.
“He’s not perfect you know.” Everyone whipped their head to see Hermione chiming in, not even looking up from her books.
“If he was the dream boy you all say he is, they would’ve been together by now. Personally, I think he’s too comfortable for his own good.”
“What’d you mean by that Hermione?” Fred asked.
She shut her book with a thud and sighed, “Yes he’s attractive in all ways, but how long do you reckon he’s going to keep stringing her along like that? He’s been flirting with her for as long as he’s known her but won’t do anything about it. It’s sad really.”
The twins paused while exchanging confused looks, not understanding what was so sad about the two perfect prefects’ relationship.
“Ugh, boys!” Hermione, exasperated, gave up and opened the thick novel to continue her literature.
It’s not like Cedric didn’t like you. He liked everything about you, but Hermione was right, he was comfortable with how things were. He wasn’t cocky, not in the slightest, but he was always far from worried when it came to you and other guys at the school. Everyone knew about you two, so he’s never been challenged for your attention. He in all honesty, guiltily enjoyed the lack of complication that the two of you had when it came to your relationship status. There wouldn’t be anything to lose if he didn’t start anything, so he stayed in his comfort with you.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
“Morning y/n!” Cedric’s presence instantly made you feel relaxed and warm.
“It’s such a pleasure seeing you here at my house’s table this morning Diggory.” you teased. It wasn’t completely unnatural for Cedric to join you at the Gryffindor table, but he usually felt that as a prefect, sitting at his own house table was almost a requirement.
“I came bearing quite honourable and exciting news y/n,” he was beaming, so excited that it seemed like he was going to jump out of his seat, “I’ve decided to do it this year. I’ve officially made up my mind that I’m going to throw my name out for the Triwizard Tournament.”
He was ecstatic, to say the least, and it was difficult for you to match his energy as you had just heard the worst news you could’ve expected from him. The Tournament has had students die while participating, so it wasn’t surprising that you didn’t want the boy you cared so much about to have a chance at it.
He caught onto your uncertainty fairly quickly; you were obviously smiling but it didn’t reach your eyes. He let out a breath and carefully reached for your hand.
“I know that you may feel hesitant about it but believe me, I know the risks but there is so much for me to gain from this experience. So please trust in me y/n.” his pleading eyes were too difficult to resist.
“I do, I do trust you Cedric,” you mustered as much support as you could in that moment, “the Goblet would be stupid not to choose such a fine competitor.” Your words seemed to satisfy Cedric as he jumped out of his seat, gave you a quick kiss atop of your head and sped off to the Hufflepuff common rooms.
He had made his mind up and the only thing you could possibly do was to try to hex that stupid over-gloried cup in your mind as you prayed to Dumbledore for Cedric’s name not to be pulled.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
The news that students from other schools were coming to Hogwarts excited the masses. It wasn’t every day they got to see such new faces. Especially faces as attractive as the Beauxbaton and Durmstrang students.
Everyone was bursting with excitement in the Great Hall, awaiting anxiously for the foreign students to arrive. You on the other hand were busy glancing at Cedric who was chatting happily with his housemates.
“You’re staring you know.” Hermione’s deadpan voice made your head turn to face her, your eyes lingering just a second longer on the Hufflepuff table.
“Honestly y/n, we have some of the greatest wizarding students coming in for a tournament that only happens every five years and your focus is on Diggory? Merlin y/n if anything, focus on the OWLs instead.” Hermione wasn’t annoyed, but instead truly baffled as to how you could easily ignore such a large celebration for one boy.
You held up your hands in defense, but before you could retort, Dumbledore had already started introducing the new guests.
The vision of blue overwhelmed your senses and you were stunned for a second, only being snapped back to reality by the hollering of the surrounding boys. You shifted in your seat in an attempt to see Cedric’s reaction to the Beauxbaton girls, but the rowdiness of the male students blocked your vision. Sinking back in your seat pouting, you wondered if Cedric was enjoying this as much as the other boys were. I mean, Ron was practically drooling. You didn’t have much time to sulk over the issue as you got simultaneously shoved on both sides by Hermione and Ginny. You craned your neck to see what was causing this female commotion.
“Oh Merlin y/n, it’s Viktor Krum! And he’s even better up close!” Ginny whispered excitedly. You stared at the older boy not really impressed but you giggled with Ginny nonetheless, feeling left out of the Viktor-Krum-is-so-handsome festivities that were happening at the table.
From across the grand path of new students, Cedric stared at you as you giggled and whispered with Ginny. Following your line of sight, his eyes were met with the stiff, soldier-like, famous Viktor Krum. Groaning, he hung his head in his hands as the noises of the Great Hall faded in his ears. He was beginning to think, maybe he was, in fact too cocky when it came to you.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
Your friends were whispering excitedly in the courtyard when you had joined them.
“What’s got you lot so excited?” you asked while squeezing to sit between Hermione and Ginny on the ledge.
“Viktor Krum! What else?” Ginny chirped excitedly. Just at the mention of his name, the other girls squealed in pure bliss. You observed your young friends’ excitement happily. You hadn’t had much time to observe the new Hogwarts guests, as the reality of Cedric putting his name into the goblet this year became more and more clear to you. A warm hand delicately tapped your shoulder from behind you, breaking you from your worries temporarily, and you looked up and behind to see Cedric standing behind you while giving you his most infamous, heart-stopping smile.
“Ladies” he nodded to the group of girls in acknowledgement before bringing his full attention to you. Content, you leaned your head back into his chest as you looked up at the boy who seemed to be radiating sunshine.
“Cedric! What are you doing here?” you were beaming. He looked like honey. You couldn’t really describe it, but he was just so warm and so sweet. Beautiful really.  Especially in the courtyard sun.
“I thought you could perhaps lend me your potions books for today?” he grinned lopsidedly at you as you sighed and pulled out the heavy book. How could you ever say no to this boy?
“You’re the champion of my heart y/n, you know that?” you laughed when he clutched his heart with his free arm. Your heart bubbled with warmth. You let yourself bask in the feeling only for a moment when Ginny moved to head back to the common rooms first. Feeling rather amorous, you told her you would meet her back there soon. You wanted to share your bubbly feelings with someone and Ginny always loved listening to it.
“Not just your heart Diggory.” Hermione teased quietly seeing that you were distracted with Ginny for a moment. She gestured Cedric towards a pair of Durmstrang students. One in particular seemed to be taking quite an interest in you. As the Durmstrang boy kept glancing at you, Cedric’s hand on your shoulder unconsciously became a little stiffer and he pulled you a little closer.
Cedric then bent down to reach your ear and whispered lowly, “I really do appreciate it y/n. You’re not only the champion of my heart but also the one who holds my mind, body and soul in all completion.” The cheesiness of his words had you giggling. You knew he didn’t truly mean what he was saying, but the light tinge of pink on your cheeks was evident.
Stretching back up to stand Cedric held his gaze on the Durmstrang boy, feeling rather confident and accomplished as he watched the boy’s friend pat him on the back consolingly as they walked away.
“Oh, Merlin! I forgot that I told Ginny I’d meet her in the common room!” you frantically gathered your things and hollered rushed goodbyes. “Don’t forget to return my potions book Cedric!” you reminded and he chuckled lightly to himself in response.
As your sporadic figure grew smaller in the distance, Hermione turned to face Cedric. “You know Diggory, every guy at Hogwarts may know of your guys’ relationship, but the ones at Durmstrang don’t.” Hermione stated matter-of-factly, making Cedric’s grin falter.
“What’s that supposed to mean Granger?” Frustrated, Hermione groaned, “It means that although the boys at Hogwarts don’t fancy y/n, that doesn’t mean that the boys at Durmstrang won’t. You can’t pull that kind of stunt again with every Durmstrang boy she comes in contact with. Godric, boys are so dim sometimes!” she huffed as she turned on her heel to leave.
Cedric rubbed the back of his neck, feeling quite sheepish for being caught in his rather childish act. Hermione was right though, he wouldn’t be able to keep every single guy away from you. So what was he supposed to do?
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
The night of the choosing of names came all too fast for you. You knew he put in his name. You knew he really wanted this. And for some reason, you felt like you knew he would be picked. This weighed heavily on your mind and you honestly could not for the life of you, pay attention to who the other two victors were.
The paper flew out and Dumbledore caught it. The dread in your stomach increased to a nauseating level, the chatter of the students ringing in your ears and then the room went quiet. It wasn’t actually quiet but suddenly you weren’t able to hear the cheers of your peers as you watched the boy you yearned for so dearly, walk through the aisles in celebratory fashion. Your head started spinning, how many students had entered their names? What were the odds? How was it possible that the one student, the one student that you couldn’t risk being out in that tournament, had gotten picked?
Cedric was on top of the world at that moment. He wasn’t too interested in becoming legendary or glorified through the Tournament but was simply elated to bring pride to the Hufflepuff House. He would be lying though, if he said that he would gladly take on the glory if it meant you would see him as such. Thinking of you, he searched quickly for your head in the crowd. When he finally spotted you, his grin widened but as he saw your fallen and disconnected expression he grew concerned and tried to move his way through the crowd to your spot. Unfortunately, it was a lost cause as the Goblet erupted once more and the wave of confused students swept Cedric further away from you.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
“Krum’s got a yes!” Cedric turned his attention away from his house tablemates to the rowdy group of Durmstrang boys that were chirping excitedly.
“Who’s the lucky woman Viktor? I mean half of this school wants to be your date to the Yule Ball! You have to tell us who you ended up asking!” the boys leaned in eager to hear more about Viktor’s proposal.
“Who else, I asked the pretty Gryffindor I said I would ask.” he replied shortly, seemingly unamused by his friends.
“Bloody hell, he’s asked y/n!” Cedric whipped his head around to the first-year Hufflepuff who had also turned to listen in. Cedric’s facial expression dropped.
Glancing at Cedric nervously one of the older Hufflepuffs questioned the girl, “How in Merlin’s Beard would know that? Krum didn’t even say that he had asked y/n.”
“It’s obvious!” she smiled as she hurriedly reached into her pocket and fished out a piece of paper.
“Prettiest…Girls…At…Hogwarts” one of the Hufflepuffs read aloud slowly. Unbeknownst to you, the twins have not only been solidifying their list with the Gryffindor first years, but ALL the first years.
“Look!” she pointed to your tiny moving portrait on the paper.
“It says right there: y/n, 6th year, Gryffindor. If Viktor Krum had been talking about a pretty Gryffindor, it had had to be her. She’s a prefect, he would absolutely go for her!” the tiny girl smiled proudly at her findings as if she had cracked a hard case.
⋆ ˚。⋆୨♡୧⋆ ˚。⋆
Sitting alone in the Hufflepuff common room, Cedric was deep in thought.
Had Viktor Krum really asked you to the ball? Had you really said yes? He knew he hadn’t asked you at all but he had assumed it was only natural that the two of you would’ve gone together. Right..?
The more he questioned you and himself the more miserable he became.

warnings: language, the twins doing something illegal, emotional reader, little use of yn

“Morning, (yln)”
“Malfoy”
Of course, he didn’t say anything as you walked out of the Slytherin common room on your way to have breakfast. but you felt his blue eyed intense stare in your back. Unfortunately, you lived in a world where even Draco Malfoy thought that hanging out with you was… not good, but since his parents knew yours, saying hi to you was the least thing he had to do, mainly because it was his parents request.
You decided to go alone this morning. Well, you were always alone, but when you do have company, it’s your cat; Hara. She looked very pleased with her sleeping position, so bothering her was not an option.
You could say she was your only friend, the only one you had ever since your first year at Hogwarts and now, on your sixth year, everything was the same. Did you hate it? Not at all. You got used to being alone, even though you hated it at first.
Your family has a reputation, therefore, you do too. People say you’re an ice princess, they say that if looks could kill, many students would be dead by now and you’d easily be responsible for it. Despite your very low desire of having friends or even sharing your life with wizards and witches, they said many other things about you too that could have easily be something that describes the sweetest girl in the world.
The way you walk, as smooth as if you could float, small but decided and confident steps. Always smelling fresh, like just showered; whoever sat next to you could sense it so strong that some even said that your perfume is made with amortentia.
Besides, you were also your house Prefect.
Truth was, you were an easy center of attention, even when you didn’t want it. A Slytherin girl who’s family is rumored to be richer than the Malfoy’s, her best friend is her black cat, always wearing the most expensive jewelry, spending as much time in the library as possible to study and also someone who’s extremely intelligent that shows its passion for Defense Against the Dark Arts, being at the top of her class? How could you not be someone that people talked about?
You were a whole mystery. But they were too afraid to even try to discover you.
You didn’t know who even started to say that you were not someone good to be with, so you couldn’t understand anything at your first year and cried yourself to sleep every night because no one wanted to be around you. With time, it got better, maybe it’s better to be alone than being sorrunded by bad people, you thought, and it always made you feel better when your stone cold heart was about to melt when you felt too vulnerable.
But no one, definitely no one… makes you feel as vulnerable as Cedric Diggory.
Of course you knew who he was, who didn’t? He was a revolutionary insanely attractive guy that caught every girl’s attention even in his first year. For your first year in Valentine’s day, he received at least twelve letters and a massive box of chocolates gifted by an anonymous girl at your grade, and he didn’t hesitate on sharing it with his friends. On second grade, he gained even more popularity after becoming a part of the Hufflepuff Quidditch team, and by fifth grade already, many girls were desperate to ask him on a date and fantasize about what being their girlfriend was like.
You couldn’t deny that you were one of those girls… not the girlfriend part, but the one that could easily fall for him if your heart gave the chance.
You liked him in first grade, secretly, but as the months went by, the colder you became, the more you avoided him, and the more you forgot about his existence, just being another person you know that would not be relevant in your life.
At least, not until he bumped into you just when the year started, three months ago.
You were walking with your hands full of books, almost covering your view as you tried to find your way to your dorm again. Hara was next to you, as always, and you secretly wished she was a human the whole time so she could transform back into her original shape and carry some books for you.
That didn’t happen.
What did happen, is that you gasped as your books bumped into someone’s body; for the second time. The first one ran away when she offered to help you and you yelled at her to leave you alone, because you were too angry to even let her help you.
But how could you yell at his face?
“Oh, Merlin” he had said before quickly getting on one knee, and his big hands already started to pick up three books. You just stood there… silent. “I’m so sorry, I was coming around the corner and-…”
Your tired and big sigh interrupted his words. “It’s fine.” your voice said as you got on both of your knees as you fixed a piece of tour hair behind your ear. “It’s the second time today.”
“I’m sorry” he said again, much sadder this time, and you noticed. You thought you maybe were too hard on your words, or your tone, or the way your face was clenched, but why would you care? Weren’t you always like that?
You didn’t answer though, just silently picking up your heavy and boring looking books from the floor.
Cedric had looked up at you twice while picking up the books. He recognized you from the hallways and his classes, but didn’t find the need to introduce himself; he thought you wouldn’t care a bit. Of course, he had to think just the same way as everyone else.
You secretly wished he didn’t, but you also thought that this was going to be the only time that you saw him and actually talked.
“Are you going to your dorm?”
You frowned your eyebrows at him as you lifted your head. His brown were hidden behind some hair that fell on his forehead as his lips were parted, waiting for your answer. You nodded your head, suddenly remembering that you were actually talking to him, not staring at a fucking statue. You slapped yourself internally, feeling stupid.
“Yeah” your answer was short.
“Let me help you then, it’s the least I can do”
God, could he be more perfect?
But your hard ass had to complain.
“No, it’s okay. I know my way”
You heard his laugh when you picked up the last book from the floor.
“I know you do, but I want to help you. They’re too heavy for you”
You sighed loudly again, and with an annoyed expression on your hardly visible face, you said; “Look, I don’t need help, okay? Just-…” you stopped when you looked to your left. Hara was always there, but not this time. “Where’s Hara?” the fear in your voice alerted Cedric’s ears.
“Who’s Hara?”
“My cat!” you almost yelled, letting your books fall again as you quickly got up, already disappearing into the corner in which the brunette guy came from. “Hara?”
He was quick to follow behind you. “It’s a black cat, right?”
“What?” you asked, turning your head as you found him standing next to your body, looking down at you. “No! I’m not letting you help me find my cat”
“Well, too bad” he muttered before walking past you and brushing your shoulder. You scoffed, surprised with wide eyes as you heard how he called your cat’s name and made those same little noises that everyone does when they are trying to find a cat.
He did not fall for your complaining. Why did you like it so much?
“Ugh!” you shouted towards the ceiling while letting your arms rise up and then fall heavily to your sides. “Hara!” you screamed, knowing damn well that that would not make her come to you again, but being the only thing that came out of your mouth.
You could still hear Cedric’s voice as you silently looked for Hara in the cold hallways, books long forgotten, probably getting stepped on by many students.
For what felt like ten minutes, you were already convinced that Cedric was long gone and had stopped looking for your cat. Your thought got you relaxed, but also worried, were you too harsh on him? Too rude? You didn’t want to be rude with him, or with anyone but it was just what came out of you.
Cedric didn’t run away though. No, he stayed, he insisted. He had to be one of the few if not the only person that ever did that to you, at least for the past three years…
“yn!”
And then he called your name.
A single name falling from his rosy and pumped lips, letting it fall like thick and sweet honey that tasted as magnificent as the sweetest chocolate or cherry. You liked how it sounded, coming from him.
You turned your back, and he almost smiled when he noticed what he had in his arms, and the way your eyebrows instantly came back to their original not-worried expression.
Hara seemed a little too comfortable in his arms as she looked around nervously, as if she saw something she shouldn’t, or got scared by something. He stopped in front of you and gave you your pet in your arms, slightly letting his hands brush yours, but quickly letting go. The feeling was too good to be that short.
“Where were you?” you asked staring into her yellow eyes, as if she could answer. “You scared the living hell out of me, sweetie”
“Sweetie?”
Shit, he was still there.
You just gave him a quick look before kissing Hara’s head and placing her down to the ground again, pointing her with your finger to stay there, she meowed.
“Uh… thank you” you said, probably for the first time in months, and quickly feeling your throat go dry. He smiled, proud of himself because of course, he knew you never acted like this, in fact, it was like a totally different person in front of him.
He noticed the way your cheeks went slightly pink when he caught your baby-acting way of talking to Hara, he found it cute.
Cedric didn’t believe many of the things he heard about you over the years, like, you study so much in the library because you secretly read black magic in the forbidden section, or that you were so mean on your third grade that you made three girls cry the first day, when in fact, he knew it was another person. He almost hated the way people decided to treat you one day and never notice your existence again when it came to friendship.
You were popular, but still, one of the most feared persons. Did that make sense?
“Anytime” he replied, and you held your breath when he got closer to you, still looking at you, but quickly getting on his knees again to give your cat some little pats on her head and stomach when she just laid there, asking for more of his —probably— soft and comforting touch.
Traitor. You thought, looking at Hara.
“She’s so cute” you heard him laugh when your cat gave him the purest glassy eyes ever, enjoying his presence while you stood there awkwardly, just wanting to leave. “I think she loves me”
Once again, you didn’t know what to say, so you stayed silent again, playing with the edges of your robe.
He got up again, still standing too close to you. “You’re still letting me carry those books, right?”
“Huh?”
“Come on, it’s the-…”
“Oh, I know” you interrupted, lifting your palm as your lips clenched in disgust, but way too funny to not make him smile for the last time. “It’s the least you can do” you imitated and exaggerated manly voice.
He walked with you the whole way… and you hated the fact that you let him. If your arms weren’t feeling heavy with books, the ones that Cedric made you grab because they were the lightest, you would’ve crossed your arms over your chest all the way, but since you couldn’t do it, you decided to give him a silent treatment.
He kept eyeing you the whole way, that annoying expression on your face that really made him question to himself if he should even try to talk to you again.
It was not towards him though, but to yourself; how you hated yourself for acting so different all of a sudden, so… small. But this wasn’t your fault, was it? I mean, if he didn’t show up, none of this would’ve have happened, so he was the one to blame, wasn’t he?
Right?
You questioned yourself that same thing over and over again for the following week.
It was like he invaded your mind, everytime you looked at him, you heard him talk in class, or walked past him down the hallway. It was like you were always trying to see him too, it was pathetic.
Fucking pathetic. He only helped you find your cat, for God’s sake, why was that so important to you?
Maybe because no one ever helped you before, or the way he walked so tentatively towards you anytime he walked, or how good he looked with your own cat in his arms… so cute, so handsome.
Sometimes he was there when you tried to sleep too, inside your head. What was happening to you? Why were you desperately trying to keep him out of your mind all of a sudden? Why did you feel your heart skip a beat whenever he talked? Why did you happened to be thinking about his face so much? Why wouldn’t he let you sleep?
Was this what your talked about? She mentioned something about liking boys at a certain age, but every boy you ever knew ran away from you, so, was Cedric this boy now?
You certainly didn’t know what was it about him that caught your attention so suddenly, but stopping was not an option. After all, it made you feel good.
The more days that passed, the more confused you felt, and people started to notice. They saw how you were muy quieter now in class, how you barely raised your hand or how you just seemed… lost. Was something wrong with you? Probably, because you didn’t even eat your breakfast this morning. You just sat there, playing with your scrambled eggs and toasts, not even hungry enough to eat what you served.
There was some mumbling that came from behind you, the Gryffindor table, but didn’t even bother to look back at them, as you always do, so they would either lower their volume, or shut up. Instead, you took the cup in which you had some pumpkin juice, and drank it all.
And then, the mumbling stopped.
The whole Gryffindor group went silent, and that’s when you turned around, almost asking them to speak again… they were all staring at you.
Fred and George were mouth opened and all big eyes looking directly at you, as if something really bad just happened. His friends were whispering into each other’s ears, and you finally spoke.
“What?”
Silence.
“What are you staring at?”
“Um-…” one of the twins spoke first, but you found tell which one was it. Then he lifted his finger, and pointed to the golden cup on your left hand. “Was that your juice?”
You frowned your eyebrows, looked at the cup, and then back at them. “Yes” you replied “Why so interested?”
Silence was dominant again, as the twins exchanged a scared look and then looked back at you again. Your ears were starting to get red, nobody was telling you anything so they were either messing with you, or something bad had happened. You chose to believe the first one… but saying what you were actually thinking was not part of the plan.
“Alright, stupid looking faces, what the fuck is going on?”
The expression on their faces changed, surprised about hearing what you just said… you never insulted anyone. In fact, people thought that you were the kind of person to insult in their mind, but trying to be as cold as ever on the outside, that’s why everyone called you ice hearted or ice princess, you never actually said what you thought… you just tried to be as calm and as cold as always.
But you just insulted a group of teenagers, and that never happened before. No matter how mad you were, you always tried not to insult. People did it to you and it felt horrible, so why do it to someone else?
You gasped lowly while covering your mouth. “Fohmygad” you muttered against your palm. “Oh my God, I’m-… I didn’t want to”
“We know” the other twin had said. “You just drank veritaserum”
And your whole face transformed.
“What… did you just say?” Your voice tone was scary, just like a threat.
“It was not for you!” you recognized the girl that just spoke to you, Angelina. You sat with her a few times in class, but she was quick to run away from you as soon as class finished. “I told you you shouldn’t have done that! All the cups look the same” she hit one of the twins on the side of their head. He whined.
“How was it supposed to know she was going to grab Malfoy’s cup?”
You quickly stood up and placed the cup on the table, right next to, in fact, Malfoy’s breakfast. It was not too far away from you, and you had poured yourself the same drink, but Draco left for a second before you drank the wrong juice.
Fred and George kept talking at the same time towards you, fear in their voices and getting smaller and smaller almost hiding under the table. You ignored them as much as you could so nothing else could come out of your mouth, and with half your face covered, you walked away from the Great Hall.
But of course, not before bumping into another person again.
“Woah” Cedric said as he grabbed your shoulders. He laughed when he noticed it was you “We keep bumping into each other, huh?”
“Don’t talk to me” you bit while shaking your body off of his grabbing, and bit your tongue again as the gigantic door kept getting closer and closer, but it didn’t make you feel any better.
You didn’t look back as you walked as fast as you could towards the bathroom on the fifth floor, the Prefect’s bathroom, after all, you were one. It was a safe place, since no one was ever there at that time in the morning and not everyone could come in. You just wished that Myrtle was not there, she could be a bit annoying sometimes.
After letting your way in, you ran to wash your face with the coldest water that your skin could handle. Your skin was on fire, just like the rest of your body and maybe, just maybe, your brain. You have definitely gained a new enemy.
Verisaterum? Really?
Malfoy could be a pain in the ass but, out of all the potions in the wizarding world, the Weasley twins had to choose the hardest one to make, with no taste, no color, but most importantly, illegal to any use outside the Minister?
Merlin’s fucking beard, you needed a break.
“yn?”
You scoffed when a male voice called your name. “It’s occupied, genius” you answered with your back still turned to where the voice was coming.
The footsteps were coming closer and closer, and you were not in the mood to deal with any Weasley shit, you thought.
“Pretrificus Totalus!” you screamed while turning around, your hand already grabbing your wand and throwing it towards whoever it was the Weasley that followed you.
“Hey!” the male voice, not Weasley, screamed as he hid behind a wall, your spell crushing into the cold surface. “What do you think you’re doing?” Cedric showed himself, confusion on his face as he slowly decided to walk again.
“Cedric.” you called, putting your wand away. It was the first time you called his name. “I thought you were one of the twins”
“I can tell… are you okay?”
Yes.
“No”, you replied. You groaned lowly when the truth came out of your lips. In times like this, you really wished these kind of potions didn’t exist, it was hard to hold back their enchantment. “I just drank the most stupid potion that the Weasley twins could think of to piss off Malfoy”
He placed his hands inside the front pockets of his pants as he laughed. “Verisaterum?”
“How’d you know?”
He clicked his tongue, making his way towards you again. “They joke about it too much” he leaned his back against the sink you were gripping tightly with your hands.
You took a deep breath and stayed silent for a moment, analyzing your reflection as you asked, “How long does it last?”
“Depends on how successful it is. It can go away between one hour and six”
“Six hours!?” you yelled to his face, then scoffed while letting an annoyed smile draw on your face. “For the love of….”
“We can always ask Snape for the antidote… but that would mean you tell him about the twins’s action and that was illegal”
You bit your tongue as your feet bobbed up and down, snapping your toes onto the shiny floor again and again as your breathing was a clear sign of how bad you were feeling.
“Forget it. I’ll just wait”
Your knees bended as you sat on the floor, right next to Cedric’s legs, and letting your head fall against the cold pipe under the sink.
“You’ll wait up until six hours before you speak again?” his voice could perfectly fit with another type of quiestion… ‘are you crazy?’ would be the perfect one.
But you just nodded, not even looking at his perfect face. “It’s not like I have someone to talk to, anyways”
Ouch.
Cedric bit the inside of his cheek as he looked down at you, feeling bad for you and how vulnerable were feeling, but being smart enough to keep that thought to himself.
“Or… you can talk to me”
You clicked your tongue and laughed coldly. “Yeah, right”
“Really” he insisted as you saw his figure squat next to yours, finally dropping his whole weight to the floor, imitating your posture. “By this time you should already know I’m not someone who falls for your complains, right?”
“You’re right” you replied as you played with your fingers nervously. “That’s good”
Shit, shut up already.
“Why?”
“‘Cause I like it… oh my god” you covered your face “I was not supposed to say that”
Cedric laughed again.
“You like my company?”
No, no, no, no.
“Yes” you whined “Please stop asking me questions!”
He let out a louder laugh this time. “Why? It’s fun”
“Yeah, you drink verisaterum and we’ll see if it’s funny, smart boy”
“Sorry”
He stayed silent after that, and so did you. Your cheeks were flushed with embarrassment as you kept wishing that this potion was so poorly made that it only lasted one hour, but the effect didn’t seem to go away any sooner.
You could feel it because that’s just how your mind felt too. Suddenly the thought of not saying the truth to any question was not an option in your mind. Did you even know what a lie was? God, you felt so weak that you hated yourself. Why couldn’t you be like those wizards you read about? The ones that can resist it?
Your whole reputation and personality would’ve stayed intact if you could.
But right now, sitting right next to Cedric Diggory, asking you questions, and with red cheeks… that just ruined the whole image that people thought you had.
“Do you mind if I ask you something?” he suddenly stammered and it made you jump slightly. He had leaned closer to your ear, as if sitting next to him was not enough to hear him.
“I do” you answered before laughing to yourself “That was the only answer that did not feel forced to come out”
Cedric laughed too, and he took his time before deciding what to ask you, trying to find the correct words to say to not make you mad, or walk away and leave.
“Is it… are you really how people say you are? I mean, I see that you can be as cold as you want but, is that who you are?”
Your eyes made him nervous. After his lips closed, your face just inches away from his, you just stayed there staring at him. You bit your own lip as you kept looking at his grey eyes, trying to find any sign that showed you that he really didn’t care about it, or that the wrinkles on his skin would show up like anytime he laugh, another sign that he was just messing with you, and he really couldn’t care in the slightest about you. But he didn’t move.
So you sighed. “No”
Cedric nodded, more than satisfied with that answer. He was right.
But you had a lot to say, even though he didn’t ask you that much.
“I guess I became what people started to say I was, or what I started to hear about myself. I wasn’t always cold, or I wasn’t always pushing people away from me. Actually, I was the one trying to have lots of friends and be myself with many people but they just… I don’t know, they felt threatened, so… let’s just say I got mad with my own life and decided to not let myself feel vulnerable again, because I don’t deserve it”
Another big gap of silence… and your eyes slowly got filled with tears.
“I’m not who everyone says I am. Ice princess, the hell” you laughed “I mean, sorry I’m not a sweetheart to everyone that gave me nicknames! They expected me to be like this so, here they go”
You sniffed while your nose got red and puffy. Not a single tear was dropped but you still looked so heartbroken that it made the boy next to you almost cry too. You didn’t even complain about the potion this time, because you finally had thrown again that massive rock that just kept hurting your chest over and over again.
“There was only one person that treated me nicely in the last three years”
He frowned his eyebrows. “Who?”
“You”
You had turned your head towards him again, with a small smile on your lips. He knew it was going to be hard for you to thank him, but the shiny look in your eyes was just enough for him to realize. “Really?” he asked.
You nodded, still smiling. “Yes, it’s like a bonus point”
“Bonus point?”
“Because I like you”
Fuck… fuck!
“I-…”
“Wha-…” you both started taking at the same time.
It was like a fucking movie. Both of you frozen in time, staring at each other’s faces as you tried to say the correct words, but nothing came to mind.
Cedric could feel his heart pounding in his ears, while you wanted to crash your head to the nearest wall.
“You…” he started, but didn’t finish, at least not what he initially wanted to say. “Are you for real?”
“No, Diggory, I just fucking lied to your face, can you believe it?… Of course I’m for real, dingus!” you yelled.
Cedric bit his lip as he turned his head to the opposite side, trying to bite back his laugh. “Okay, I get it, it was a dumb question”
But then he laughed. God, his laugh, his perfect little giggle. It made you smile.
“I kinda like you too”
Your neck snapped so hard towards his direction that you thought that maybe, you just died.
Your lips kept opening and closing everytime you tried to say something. For some reason, none of this seemed like a joke to you, almost as if the potion’s effect had affected Cedric too. Something about this felt real, maybe it was because you openly talked about your feeling with him. He knew you weren’t bad, he always knew, he just wanted you to confirm it.
Maybe drinking verisaterum wasn’t as bad as you thought.
Your heart pounded heavily in your chest when he fixed a piece of your hair behind your ear, and the lightest yet burning touch of his fingers against your jawline made your breath hitch once again. He smirked again, as he always does, “You’re really beautiful” he cooed, as his hot breath hit your cheekbone and left behind a sweet feeling that you never wanted to get rid of.
He then got up, as swiftly as a leaf would do, and extended his hand to you.
“What?” you debated.
“Let’s go for a walk. I feel like I have to ask you a few more questions before I decided which place I’m taking you to this weekend”

Cedric Diggory as a boyfriend 🏆🦡
Tumblr media
⋆ ˚。 ⋆୨sweetpandorabox୧⋆ ˚。 ⋆
⋘ 𝑜𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑎…⋙
Warnings ⚠️: Slight mentioned of sexual themes and some spicy stuff.
Dating this sweet, kind, and handsome Triwizard champion could include:
🪦 💛 👨🏻
Cedric is a true definition of a gentleman, he undoubtedly has that chivalry touch about him, he's polite, honest, and kind. He would put your jacket around you as soon as he noticed you shivering even just a little, offer you his arm when you're about to walk somewhere, hold a door open for you, kisses you on the forehead, kisses your hand when the both of you have to part ways and never lets you pay a cent during a date that requires paying, because he enjoys paying for you and never wants anything in return. The affection of kisses, hugs and more means the world to him.
He calls you cute nicknames like Angel, Heaven, My World, or Sweetheart.
Likes when you call him Ced, Darling, Love, Handsome, or Teddy (It's an inside joke between the two of you that Cedric is as soft and kind-looking as a teddy bear, so you kept it going with that nickname).
His love language is probably words of affirmation, he's really good at expressing his love for you through words, he mentions how much he loves you often, and he compliments you anytime he gets the chance but most of all he's always affirmed you that no matter how many people might be interested in him weather that's about his popularity, looks or personality, he'll never leave you ever and that no one can ever replace nor even come close to you. That he couldn't love a human any more than he loves you.
He likes writing your name on all your subject's books for you but instead of your family's last name, he puts down his instead so every book you own says "This book belongs to Y/N Diggory" which drives your friends crazy with excitement, even professor McGonagall was sure you'd marry him one day.
He would take you out every Sunday morning to madame Puddifoot's tea shop for some tea, with sugar and milk just how you like it, while Cedric makes it a habit to make paper rings out of the tissues provided on each table for customers, then he'd take your left-hand kisses it and put the ring on you ring finger before saying "One day It'll be a real ring that shines and glimmer the way your eyes do when it hits the sun", that line never fails to make you smile and blush, so you smile at him kindly while he returns it sipping your tea away.
You have to get on your tippy toes to kiss him because he's built like a tree which never fails to make him laugh and smile at how adorable you are, but you'd pout every time he laughs at you so in return he lowers himself to your level and says "go on" then you would smile and ruffle his hair as messy as you can which leave the both of you to laugh and blush.
He uses his prefect power to go out after hours, his excuse is that he's patrolling around the castle before bed and sneak you up to the astronomy tower when there's no class available and stargaze there, then he'd ramble about all the stars that he knows about which you find really interesting and amusing.
He's the best at giving advice about anything and you've always taken it without hesitation because his advice has worked in your favor every time, he just seems to know what's best for you always.
Him chasing you all over the place to give him a hug after Hufflepuff's quidditch practice when he's all sweaty, smelly, and sticky.
When it comes to sex he's very gentle with you making sure to put you first before himself and a praiser too, despite how much you drive him crazy with lust because of how attractive you are to him, so it's mostly slow, passionate sex but when he's in the mood to just please you, he gets you to sit on his lap while he fingers you, touch your breast and kiss your neck and shoulder as you moan in pleasure. (😫).
He loves the sight of you walking towards the great hall for breakfast on the weekend after you've just woken up with his jumper on, slightly messy hair, sweats, and slippers on, what makes it better is the way you greet him good morning with your sleepy voice and a kiss to top it all off never fails to make him smile brightly and blush too.
He likes watching you sleep, he finds you to look so peaceful and effortlessly gorgeous doing nothing but breathing easy while closing your eyes, dreaming away about something good he hopes.
Despite him being sweet and patient most of the time with you, he's not afraid to argue back if he finds you to be too stubborn about something.
Shows you off proudly in front of anyone and everyone he could, talk about you often, mention how lucky he is to have you in his life and how he could never survive with you, not now not ever at this point.
Writes you cute yet unexpected love letters, notes, and paper balls with doodles of the two of you together, and no matter how many he makes/sends you've managed to keep and saved them all, which Cedric doesn't know about and by now you'd have thousands of letters, notes and paper balls filled with doodles made by him.
He smiles a lot around you and is the type of person who makes good eye contact even if he doesn't like that person that way in general.
Amos and Mrs. Diggory loves having you around their house and would often invite your whole family to join/celebrate things like Christmas for example in their home, just hoping that you and Cedric will be married together one day and untie both of your families into one big and beautiful one.
He lets you dress him up in your clothes for fun, put makeup on him, and even tie his hair into a short ponytail. He puts up with it all just to see you laugh your nose off, as long as you're happy he's happy too.
Whenever you achieve something big and you'd tell him excitedly he picks you up in the air and spins you around laughing with you and saying "I'm so proud of you my sweetheart" with a huge smile on his face before putting you down and giving you a passionate kiss.

Off Guard
pairing - cedric diggory x reader
summary - the time you allow cedric to get to know you
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It’s cold,” he opened his hand, large palm pushing back small hairs that seemed to be flailing around in the wind. His yellow scarf was draped around his neck, tightly wrapped around until it was snuggly rested inside his jacket. The cold had caused the ends of his nose to already begin to change in color.
Honestly, Cedric didn’t mind the cold, with it came beautiful new scenery of the green outside covered in a pure white. The snow easily coated most of the area, offering new entertainment and reminders that break was to come to the students.
The mention of break arriving was such a hefty reminder that he had two sickles and four knuts resting in a velvet bag at the top of his trunk. The bag had a embroidered CD on its front, representing his initials, and was once filled with sweets that you’d gifted him after a exceptional quidditch match. His smile was never so wide, and his hands never wanted to wrap themselves around you as much as in that moment.
“The cold is refreshing,” you hummed, sitting on the large windowsill as he slowly moved over to you. His steps were hesitant and eventually he mirrored the position your were in. Your knees were crushed to your chest, arms wrapped around to hug them tighter, just staring out at the bare trees with a transfiguration book discarded on the ground. He followed, trying to crush his long legs to his chest.
Cedric allowed his feet to be a few centimeters from your own, the tips of his boots nearly touching yours. “Why are you out here? You scared that friend, Luna. She came rumbling into the classroom!”
“I don’t know why,” you whispered, hands moving to stretch in front of you as Cedric took the opportunity to (finally) take one into his grasp. Your mouth opened wide, staring down at his actions as his thumb smoothed out the skin on the back of your hand.
“Why won’t you ever tell me what’s wrong?” his voice was soft, eyes filled with honesty while his movements never faded. With a small inch of his feet, his boots were now touching the tips of yours.
“There isn’t anything to tell,” you mumbled, tapping your own thumb against the hand that was connected with yours. “You worry too much, don’t worry so much about me.”
He took a soft breath from across and stood up. Your hand dropped from his grip and your shoe no longer prodded at the ends of his own. You turned your body so your feet dangled off the ledge of the window-sill and he swiftly moved to stand in front of you.
“Stop that,” he whispered, shaking his head and pink cheeks. His cold fingers moved to address the scarf that was handing idly on one shoulder. Cedric moved the fabric to be wrapped around your neck and tightened it. “You’re going to get a cold,” he mumbled while his fingers worked carefully at maneuvering the fabric around your neck.
“Maybe then I won’t have to deal with those annoying first years.”
He laughed, eyes lighting back up and nodded his head in a fast motion. “This years are something else,” the fellow prefect agreed. “But you’re so good with the kids, helping them with classes, you’re a perfect prefect.”
“Not like you,” it was another whispered statement, one that caused Cedric’s eyebrows to furrow in confusion. Soon after noticing the crease it was gone and you felt a chilly palm connect with your (now) heating cheeks.
“Don’t,” he hummed, staring at you with more adoration than he normally allowed to be seen. His eyes moved down towards your lips, parted slightly and taking in slow breaths. The air that was exiting your mouth was seen between the tight space separating you both, puffs of air from the both of your breaths intermingled with one another.
“Diggory.”
“Yes, de-” quickly it registered in the hufflepuffs head that you weren’t the one to mutter that statement. Your lips still being parted and eyes widening comically at the unwarranted appearance. His hands immediately went to his sides and speedily turned around to face the person.
“What are you doing? Break was only ten minutes and then you never come back!” his friend exclaimed, wrapping his fingers around Cedric’s wrist before pulling him back into the direction he came in.
Tumblr media
A final quidditch match was in session the day after Cedric left practice to see you. The wind was furious and it’s effects could be seen by the players mobility. You watched from your houses stadium, small chattering in the background filled with exciting squeals and paranoid worries.
You were granted great seats, standing near the front of the box shape area due to your position of being a prefect. The two teams practiced down below, warming up against the ferocious weather. Despite you gaining some comfort in your now huddled position, a small frown on the field lead your feet to leave.
It wasn’t something you had planned with much thought, luckily before your feet reached their final destination you were caught in the act, a fellow Ravenclaw yelling your name.
“Have you come to wish us luck?” he flew over to your side, eager grin. “Our favorite prefect granting little ole’ us some luck?” his lips grinned eagerly at your image as more of the teammates made their way over. “How honored are we?” he turned behind to the others who nodded in agreement.
“Good luck,” you looked over at the large group of ecstatic quidditch players, bundled in gear and a new shine present in their eyes. Though the sport was never something that interested you so much, moments like these did, just being able to sense the pure emotions dripping from the fellow players. “You all will do amazing.”
“And us?” a charming voice spoke up, yellow bombarding the deep purple hues that surrounded your vision. In came the signature smile and kind eyes that were directed sweetly over to you. “Where is our luck?” diggory questioned.
“We are opponents today, so no wishes,” you hummed, hearing laughter resound around the immediate area. “When you lose this match, maybe then you’ll receive a ‘good job’,” a large smirk graced itself onto your features as the man just reached a large hand down to lightly flick your forehead.
“You just watch l/n, the competition is on,” he exclaimed, raising his broom high in his grip before turning it over to hop on and ride away. “I’ll make you say your praises!” he taunted while flying around in the air.
It was clear, throughout the rest of the match Cedric Diggory zoomed around with much fury and excitement, easily succeeding in his position and pushing his team towards the win. The yellow-gowned students sent loud cheers throughout the stadium as ones decorated in purple merely stood with small smiles and quiet whisperings.
You journeyed down to where the players stood, a sympathetic grin on your lips as pats among the backs were cut off with two long hands wrapping themselves around your waist and pulling you close. Soon enough your feet were dangling in the air as the Ravenclaw players glared up at your frazzled image.
“Wha- Diggory!” you yelled, turning yourself around as carefully as you could to hug his waist with much strength. “I don’t like flying! Godric we are very high!”
“Look how pretty everything looks from up here,” he whispered near your ear, leaning his head down to whisper and zooming a bit more away to get a full view of the stadium. “Look at the smiles on those kids faces,” he lifted his hand to point to the Ravenclaws laughing away with a newfound glee. “They finally get to see their prefect off her guard.”
“This isn’t so funny for me,”
“Because you’re off guard, that was the point,” he chuckled, his other hand leaving the handle of the broom. “No hands!”
“Cedric!” your grabbed his hand, pulling it onto the wood so he could return his grip. “Don’t-”
“You say that a lot, but, I just wish to know more about you l/n. Is that so bad?” he begun to lower you two back to the ground except the words continued to echo inside your head, his question, his secret.
You couldn’t focus on the cheers of your team, all rushing over with little remarks as he just exited the scene, smile whisking itself back onto his features. It didn’t help the odd feeling in your stomach, the one bubbling more and more at his actions that your feet soon enough led you off the field. Slipping past fellow students in the halls you heightened your speed to catch up with him, all until you could now grip his own wrist and pull him away.
He voiced your last name as a question, evidently startled, “Are you alright?” a hand rested on the side of your shoulder, those sparkling eyes looking upon you with concern once again.
He moved to flick the skin of your forehead before a hand gripped the ends of his scarf, pulling him down, as your lips were lightly placed on his. In a fleeting moment the kiss was over, your lips still puckered, breath heavy.
Then there was laughter once again, filling the large room, resounding so loudly in your ear as he just softly leaned forward once again. A warm palm crept to your colder cheek, comforting the skin with a light rub of his large thumb. “You’re very surprising, thank you,” his plush lips caught yours, a soft and angelic feeling that kept the bubbles boiling in your stomach but now welcomed.
Cedric Diggory was always worried, always wanted to know about you, and finally you were prepared to let him.

— a/n! not my best work but hey at least i posted something. ANYWAYS request things pleaseeee i would love to write something cool <3 thank you for the request!!!!
AUTUMN WAS CEDRIC'S favorite time of year. He loved being able to wear his cozy sweaters and gift them to you. He loved the muggle diner dates after quidditch practices on free nights where you could order coffee and pancakes to share. He especially loved the walks around Hogwarts as the leaves fell to the ground, creating the most perfect picture. It was the most beautiful time of year. And you made it even more so.
It was no shock that the two of you found yourselves on a walk throughout the gloomy courtyards. A jean jacket wrapped around yourself, Cedric's hufflepuff scarf practically strangling your neck. His classic grey jacket zipped up with his hands in his pockets. You by his side, smiling ear to ear.
"You know, you look absolutely beautiful today." He complimented as the two of you made your way past the Whomping Willow. It was a chilly October afternoon, and the both of you and had just arrived back to Hogwarts from a Saturday morning in Hogsmede. The two of you originally hadn't planned to meet there but you were both with your friends, and of course ran into one another. The smile on his face and the light in his eyes when he saw you made his friends chuckle. You lit up his world like nobody else — and you had only been dating for two months.
So, being the gentleman he is, Cedric of course offered to walk you home. It was a quick "yes" and you were wrapped in his scarf — watching him pull pieces of butterbeer fudge out of his pocket and absolutely obliterate it. "Are you implying I don't look beautiful everyday?"
He let out a laugh as he stood in his tracks, pulling out another piece of fudge. "Mhm, that's exactly what I'm implying." A smile was quickly present on your face, your hands falling in your pocket as you stood beside him. "Let's sit."
You pulled out your wand as he fumbled the fudge back in his pocket. Pointing the wand at the dewy grass, moving it in a left motion. "Accio blanket." It seemed like no time that a gray plaid blanket had taken place ontop of the green grass. Cedric smiled with a mouthful of fudge as he took a seat, making you giggle. He patted a spot beside him as you took a seat yourself, leaning on your elbows.
Birds chirping in the near distance was the only sound heard as he leaned back. His brunette curls sprawling out on the picnic blanket. He looked peaceful in a way, all you wanted to do is hold onto him and never let go. He wasn't like any person you had ever known. Cedric was respectful and kind — like every guy should be, but at Hogwarts they weren't. Well at least the guys you had gone out with. He was so different.
"What're you thinking about?" The hufflepuff asked you, his head turning towards you. His nose was turning slightly red from the cold which only made his face even more enjoyable to look at. "Just... you."
"Me?" He breathed, pressing his hand to his heart as he sat up slightly acting quite dramatic. Cedric's eyes poured into yours, like he was looking at the soul of his Universe. "'Course."
He pulled into his pocket offering a handful of fudge. You couldn't even question how he had anymore left before he questioned you. "What about?"
You shook your head at the offer as he shrugged it off and threw one in his mouth waiting for you to respond to his question. You pressed your lips together before forming a smile, watching Cedric chow down on his fudge. "You're great, Ced." No words could describe the way his toothy grin made you feel, watching him swallow the fudge. "You're my boyfriend and you still get giddy when I call you great?"
"Mhm," Cedric hummed as he went silent glancing down at the blanket. He seemed to fall into a transe as you watched him. A piece of hair fell before his eyes and he seemed to not even notice it. Orange and brown leaves falling in the distance, the sound of students crunching their shoes against them. You pressed your finger onto his forehead, lightly pushing the curl out of his face. "Pretty boy, what are you thinking about?" You asked, mimicking his words from before.
His eyes blinked over to you, his hand coming up to press against yours. It was warm pressing your own hand into his cheek. "You," He mirrored making you throw your head back in a giggle. A smile forming on his face as he watched you. "Hey, Y/N?"
"Hm?" You hummed as you leaned closer to him, your hand never leaving his cheek. "Do you ever think about the future? Not like seventh year but... after Hogwarts. When we're not under the rule of Mcgonagall and we actually can afford to go to Honeydukes everyday." Cedric joked making you smile. "Well, yeah we kind of have to, don't we?"
"Yeah, yeah we do." He nodded along hesitantly as you removed your hand and he sat up. "What do you see in that future?" Cedric's demeanor changed all of the sudden, his hands twirling together. Your smile nearly dropped nervously as he looked away, an awkward smile growing on his face.  "I don't know it was a dumb question anyways..."
"No... I guess I see a job as an auror. Working with my friends and having a house. A pretty one in the countryside with a willow tree outside. And a garden with fresh fruit like the way the muggles do it. So I can always have something baking so the house smells like fresh bread-" You pressed your lips together as you watched him listen intently with a smile. "I'm ranting, sorry."
"No... keep going, please. I beg." Cedric smirked as you let out an awkward laugh. "Well, I don't know. Maybe a kid or two in the far- far future. Um, I don't know I've always had that dream."
"Yeah, kids?" He asked, a lopsided smile taking over his face. You couldn't help but grin at him. There was something that made your heart race at his questions of the future. "Ced?"
"Hm?" He tilted his head as you pressed your lips together as sighed. "You're there. In the future, my future."
"Well I'd sure hope so." Cedric didn't waste anytime pulling you forward to press your lips into his. His hand pressed against your cheek as the other held you up for balance. Your hand wrapped around his forearm while the other found its way to his hair. You never felt such a feeling of happiness in your heart. Like the sun rising on a cold day.
"Mmm for the record, it'll be two kids. One boy and one girl. Someone's gotta carry on the family name." Cedric pulled apart making your bite your lip. "Yeah okay, why don't you just kiss me some more?"

Cedric Diggory x Fem! Reader

Waking up felt like a chore now nothing was new anymore. It was currently early in the morning, and you were lying in your bed once again, there didn’t seem to be any motivation to do anything nowadays. Turning over onto your side eyes heavy, laced with tears once more from the previous night, tears soon turning into a pathetic sob. Looking over at your arms littered with scars old and new hiding them under the white sheets of the sanctuary known as your bed. You felt selfish maybe it was just winter depression? Or was this more than that? Surely you shouldn’t be so selfish when others may be going through more than you surely it’s just a coincidence you must be feeling like this. It shall pass within due cores, right? Oh, but how you were wrong you’d been feeling like this since the start of the new school year and had not mentioned anything to anyone about how you were feeling or what you were going through not even Cedric.
Pushing everything aside for a while you forced yourself out of bed. You had to get ready for school it just felt like a cycle, what was the point? For a brief moment you thought about your friends would they care if you just stopped? Stopped caring, stopped showing up to lessons, stopped interacting with them? You knew it wasn’t their fault for your miserable lifestyle nor should they have any reason to suspect anything because in their eyes you are happy, joyful, and eager to learn right? You began crying once more. You didn’t deserve your friends, did you? You were being selfish once again. You also didn’t deserve a perfect boyfriend. Cedric Diggory Seeker for the Hufflepuff quidditch team. He was a ray of sunshine he was everything you could ask for in a boyfriend. He was popular, funny, kind, and caring what did he see in you?
You just needed to get through this last day of school. It was Friday and then you could relax. By ‘relax’ was meant shutting yourself away once again away from everyone away from your friends, away from Cedric. You soon made yourself over to your dresser looking at yourself in the mirror. You couldn’t bear looking at your body it was one of your biggest insecurities you knew that. It got you thinking again what did Cedric see in you? Wrapping your arms around your stomach you chocked out another sob resting your forehead against the cool reflective glass.
You managed to get your uniform on finally. Brushing out your hair with your hair brush at least trying to look presentable for what was ahead of you today. “Just have to get through today, that’s all.” You whispered to yourself. You started doing your makeup next you couldn’t go out without putting it on you felt insecure without it almost like you were hiding a part of yourself or were you just trying to cover something up? Cover up the sadness and guilt you felt. Frowning at yourself once again in the mirror almost like it was the saddest thing you’ve ever seen.
Quickly you gathered your books and other necessities into your bag leaving your dorm and heading out of your house dormitories. Walking through the halls of Hogwarts wasn’t that bad most people were nice to you showing you a smile or even waving at you. Lost in your thoughts as you joined the crowd of other students who were heading to the hall for breakfast. Suddenly you felt two arms wrap around your frame making you jolt back slightly, stopping you from walking. "Morning sweetheart." A groggy masculine voice spoke to you as the figure rested himself against your figure. It was none other than your boyfriend, Cedric Diggory. He was your ray of hope, a ray of light guiding you through your darkest times without him being aware of what dark times you may be going through he's always there to help you, you knew that. "Morning sleepyhead." You chuckled softly raising your hand to ruffle his hair, gazing up at him. "I've missed you." He chirped a soft pout on his lips. "I got busy with quidditch practice, feels like I haven't seen you in forever." As Cedric began to continue talking about his improvements on quidditch you couldn't help but recall the moments of pain without him. You did truly love him but you felt like he could do so much better than dating someone like yourself. His arms remained wrapped around you as he leaned forward to place a kiss on your cheek. "Hey," he said raising his eyebrow at you "is there something on your mind?" Cedric's eyes softened as he looked at you. Merlin how you wish you could tell him, tell him everything, tell him all your struggles but you just shook your head a thin smile on your lips. "No, no I'm fine Cedric" You didn't want to burden your ray of light, no. Not like this. "You can talk to me about anything, you know?" He said, however, he did not push further and just gave you a look of confusion.
As you both continued to walk to the great hall you chatted amongst yourselves Cedric going on about quidditch practice and how he’s excited about their next official match and so on but you couldn’t help but drift off thinking about the words he said before this conversation. ‘You can talk to me about anything’ kept ringing through your mind. You didn’t want to burden him with your worries. You didn’t want to burden him with responsibilities that he doesn’t need to know about you’ll push past them eventually right? You didn’t even know where to start would he be disappointed? Would he view you differently if you told him the truth? If you told him about your troubles with self-harm if you told him how you viewed yourself would it change your whole relationship? You've seen the other girls at Hogwarts they were prettier than you. They were confident, outgoing, and loving you really couldn’t compare yourself to them.
As you both sat down you were still lost in your thoughts you did not touch any of the food presented in front of you. “Darling?” A voice spoke out. It was Cedric looking at you worryingly reaching out his hand to intertwine with yours. “You seem lost. You haven’t touched any of your food, should I be worried?” He said you blinked shaking your head just like before. “I was just thinking about our exams coming up.” You said. Another excuse, you hated this - lying to him but it was for the best wasn’t it? Cedric nodded still giving you a worrisome look before turning away from you to talk to one of his friends. He looked so happy with his friends honestly you just felt like a waste of space in this situation, you were worrying him - you hated it so much. You eventually began to eat lost in your thoughts whilst doing so.
As the end of the day finally rolled around you were relieved. Finally, you’ve made it but you truly couldn’t stop thinking about what Cedric had said. You truly love him it was messing with your head you could feel tears well up in your eyes again. Tears falling like an overflowing stream this burden you had been carrying had finally made you realise you couldn’t handle this alone. His words were futile devices against the burden you were carrying solemnly. You also realised isolating yourself was for the worse or was it a positive factor? You couldn’t tell what was right or wrong anymore. You needed to be by yourself you had to be by yourself you had to bottle it up you couldn’t allow anyone to see you like this as you hurried to your dorm as quickly as you could. However, from afar someone was watching you, watching you in your saddened mess none other than Cedric. He knew something was wrong he was planning to meet you at the end of your last class to try and talk to you about how you were feeling he couldn’t help but notice at breakfast how you seemed off. He needed to speak to you. He knew where you’d be, you’d be in your dorm so he decided to follow you to help you in any way he could he was your boyfriend after all. He felt like it was his duty to make sure you were happy, safe, and secure.
Slamming your door shut you collapsed onto the wooden floor of your dorm sobbing dramatically. What a burden you were you hated it. You hated all of this why did you have to be so pathetic? “I can’t take it anymore..” you choked out in between your sobs taking off your robes and revealing your scars once more looking over to your mirror, your mascara smudged from your pathetic sobbing. You couldn’t signify if this was all a nightmare or not. Why? Why did you have to go through this alone? Shakily you stood up standing in front of your mirror as you tried to wipe the smudged mascara away to no avail it didn't work, only creating more of a mess. You seemed so unimpressed looking at yourself in the mirror your reflection staring back at you. The girl in the mirror couldn’t even look back at herself without being disgusting.
Suddenly a knock at your door makes you jump slightly snapping you clean out of your thoughts. “sweetheart? Are you in there? It’s only me” the voice rang in and out of your ears. You knew exactly who it was it was, it was Cedric. "You seem to be having a rough day" he spoke up again. "Do you wish to talk about it?" Quickly you tried wiping your eyes clean removing any of the remaining mascara staining your cheeks and areas under your eyes as you slowly turned the knob of your door to open it. You had forgotten, hadn’t you? You weren’t covering your arms, how could you forget? As soon as you opened the door you were greeted with a warm smile, his signature inviting smile however there was concern in his expression his eyes widening as he saw your arms and the way your face was delicately stained with mascara and dried tears. Why hadn’t he noticed the signs sooner? He gulped guilt over washing him as he stepped into your room closing the door behind him. “You said you were fine, what’s going on darling?” His voice broke, he was hurt, hurt that he wasn’t there for you when you needed him. You followed his gaze down to your arms, how could you be so stupid? Tears began welling up in your eyes once more as you suddenly gripped onto his school jumper sobbing into his chest. You two stood there embracing each other. Cedric's arms were securely wrapped around your shoulders not letting go. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry I wasn't there for you when you needed me." Your boyfriend whispered raising his hand to try and wipe away the tears streaming down your cheeks your grip only tightening on his jumper.
You and Cedric had now settled on your bed his hand gently holding your shoulder. You had finally told Cedric everything, you had told him how you felt about your body - you had also told him about how you’ve been feeling. "You're not alone, I promise I'll never be so blind as to not notice when you start struggling again." "I'm sorry." you mustered to say, you're gaze shifting to the side, soon enough Cedric lifted his hand from your shoulder placing it on your cheek. "look at me" He spoke softly, comforting you with his soft tone, as you did finally look at him he opened his mouth to speak. "none of this is your fault. I promise whenever you need me I'll always be here for you, forever."

A cute scene from a chapter from my fanfic on wattpad !!
I’m sitting in the library with a pile of books stacked messily on top of one another in front of me.
I’ve spent my whole afternoon holed up in the library reading all I can possibly find on Slytherin’s history and everything that’s known about the Chamber of Secrets.
Someone pulls out the chair next to me and sits down. Without even having to look up, I already know who it is.
“Are you following me, Diggory?” I say, still not looking up.
“No, ma’am,” he says, running a hand through his hair.
“Why do I keep seeing you everywhere I go?”
“Is that a complaint?” he raises an eyebrow.
“What if it was?”
“Ah, but I know it’s not,” he grins, his prominent dimples appearing. “So what are we reading today, Clever Girl?”
He bends his head to try to look at the cover of the book in my hand.
“Secrets of Slytherin,” he reads with a frown. “Why are you reading that?”
“Because I’m trying to figure something out,” I reply, my eyes still scanning the same line over and over. I haven’t actually absorbed anything that I’ve read since Golden Boy has sat down here.
Cedric shifts my pile of books in front of him, and begins to go through them. I watch out of the corners of my eyes as he reads the title of all of them and picks up a random one and opens it.
“What are you doing?” I ask.
“Reading,” he replies casually.
I snap my book with a sigh, and I watch his lips form a smile.
“Someone’s happy,” I raise an eyebrow. “You’ve finally got my full attention. Satisfied?”
“Oh, very,” he smirks, putting his book down. “You want to finally tell me what’s actually going on?”
“What are you talking about,” I say cooly, my heart hammering inside.
“Well–” he picks up my book that’s titled, ‘Wizarding Mythologies: The Chamber of Secrets’. “Why are you suddenly interested in the Chamber of Secrets and about Slytherin?”
“Being nosy now, are we?” I say.
“Very,” he nods. “So please tell me.”
So I do. I tell him everything that’s happened since the first day of term. For some reason, I’ve just decided to trust him. When I’m finished, he looks at me like I've just told him some fantasy story.
“Why didn’t you tell me this before?”
“Because it’s not your thing to worry about,” I answer, not meeting his gaze. “It’s not your burden to carry.”
“And it isn’t yours either.”
I finally look up to meet his eyes that are filled with nothing but concern. How could I not fall for him? Sitting this close to him really gives me a chance to examine his features. Every girl in Hogwarts would die to be this close to Cedric Diggory– to be able to sit only a few feet apart and gaze at his beautifully structured face.
“Well, someone needs to stop the heir,” I say quietly.
“And that isn’t your job,” Cedric responds. “You’re sitting here, cooped up in the library, reading all of this– this bullshit that isn’t your problem to worry about.”
“Let’s go do something,” he stands up, reaching out his hand for me to take.
I look at it for a moment before grabbing it and standing up, following him out of the library.
We end up on the second floor of the castle, in front of the painting of the fruit bowl.
Cedric reaches a hand forward, and tickles the pear on the painting.
The painting swings forwards to reveal the Hogwarts’ kitchens inside.
Inside, there are dozens of house elves bustling around, some cooking, some prepping, and some cleaning.
“Mr. Diggory!” they all exclaim happily when they spot Cedric.
“Frequent customer here?” I grin.
“I come here sometimes for midnight snacks,” he says with a lopsided smile.
The house-elves rush forwards, all of them taking turns to give him a hug.
“Mr. Diggory has brought a girl!” one of them exclaims.
“Oh and she’s beautiful!”
“Is this your girlfriend, Mr. Diggory?” another one tugs at the hem of Cedric’s jeans.
“Oh no–”
“We’re not–”
“Mr. Diggory’s blushing!” a high-pitched elf exclaims excitedly. “Oh, and what is the Miss’ name?”
“I’m Y/N,” I say, extending a hand, which the elf shakes excitedly.
“What have you come here for, Mr. Diggory?”
“Oh, I just wanted to bring Y/N by and show her around… and maybe pick up a few snacks.”
“What would you like today, Mr. Diggory?” A group of elves rush over to several ovens lined against the walls, and pull out different bakery items from each.
Croissants, biscuits, cupcakes, muffins… you name it, they have it all.
“I’ll let Miss Adair pick,” Cedric says with a grin.
“Wow, what a gentleman you are,” I say, going along with it. “Is this what you do to all of your girls? Bring them to the kitchens and try to woo them?”
“Oh yeah, all of my girls actually,” he nods very seriously. “They love being wooed by the Cedric Diggory.”
“Your ego is as fat as your head, Golden Boy,” I scoff, but can’t help but grin.
“And I’ll take a few biscuits and muffins please,” I say to the elves, who nod eagerly and begin wrapping up a basket of both.
“Good choice,” Cedric grins.
We thank all of the elves before leaving, and Cedric leads the way outside to the Black Lake.
Sitting on the grass, resting our backs against a large shady tree, we watch the sun begin to set, lying right on the horizon.
“These are really good,” I say, holding up a biscuit before taking another bite.
“Now you’re grateful for this frequent customer, aren’t you?” Cedric smirks, pointing at himself.
“I do appreciate his air-head very much,” I nod.
“That air-head just got you a bunch of pastries,” he remarks, raising an eyebrow.
He looks at me for a moment, as if he’s taking in all of my features and really analyzing them. I suddenly feel very self-conscious.
“I never noticed how red your hair actually is,” he comments, looking at my cherry red hair that is now more prominent than ever with the sun beaming down on it.
“It’s fading,” I say, picking up a strand and looking at it.
“Why’d you dye it?” he asks.
“I wanted a change over the summer,” I shrug. “I wanted to try something new. Why– does it look bad?”
“No,” he shakes his head, “Not at all.”
There’s a group of students taking an evening swim in the Black Lake with the Giant Squid.
“Do you want to go for a swim?” Cedric asks, watching me as I watch the group of students.
“No,” I raise an eyebrow. “Where’d you get that?”
“You’ve been watching them for the last three minutes,” he laughs. “They’re going to think you’re a creep.”
“Yeah?” I grin. “Then you’re a creep for watching me, Diggory.”
“How dare you,” he gasps dramatically. “You’ll pay for that, Adair.”
He sets his muffin down and picks me up, running towards the water of the Black Lake.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING– PUT ME DOWN– CEDRIC DIGGORY– YOU PUT ME DOWN RIGHT NOW—”
Once we’ve finally reached the water, Cedric throws me in gently, and I’m full drenched, in my jeans and everything.
“Cedric Diggory!” I exclaim.
“Yes, that is my name,” he grins mischievously.
“Oh, you’re going to pay for that!” I shake my head, scooping a handful of water in my two hands and throwing it onto him.
He splashes me back, and it begins the war between the two of us, each one trying to get the other more drenched.
I attempt to shove him into the lake, but him being much taller than me gives him an advantage.
Finally, he eventually stumbles into the water, his hair soaking wet.
“Aha!” I exclaim with triumph. “My payback!”
“I actually win,” Cedric grins. “I was the one who got you into the water.”
“You drive me insane, Diggory.” I scoff, shaking my head.
“Yeah?” Cedric smirks, stepping closer. He stops when there’s only a few inches between us. I can count every single freckle that dots his face. “How insane?”
“Out of my mind crazy,” I breathe out.
He brushes a wet strand of hair away from my face, and cups my cheek.
“I lose my mind over you too, Clever Girl.”
And I do what I should’ve done long ago– what I’ve wanted to do since I stumbled into that compartment on the train.
I kiss Cedric Diggory.
And it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.

The Great Hall was practically bursting with the visiting students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, and (Y/N) positively hated it. He wanted his calm Saturday mornings back, when only a few students were sitting at their tables and minding their own business. Not even the Slytherin's would be out, then, but the Durmstrang students dragged them out almost every Saturday morning.
(Y/N) walked towards his table slowly, trying to squeeze around a crowd of students coming his way. He should've just stayed in bed like he had contemplated doing before coming down here.
Sitting down at the only free space at the table; the end of it, he grabbed his preferred breakfast items and started eating, sipping from his cup every so often but just generally zoned out on his plate. Because he was zoned out he didn't really notice when the students around him went quiet, and were looking in his direction.
Well he didn't notice until someone cleared their throat- that person being Cedric Diggory. (Y/N) looked up at him, glanced at everyone watching, and promptly turned tomato red. Cedric smiled a bit and just kept looking at (Y/N).
"(L/N)," he greeted.
"Diggory," (Y/N) responded, surprised at himself for not stumbling over his words as he so often did. He supposed it was just one word, but with this amount of people staring he usually would've stuttered.
"I was wondering..." he paused and looked around himself at the crowd. "What're you looking at?" Everyone looked a little shocked but quickly returned to what they were doing, the first years that had previously been sitting in front of (Y/N) scurried away and left an open space for Cedric.
(Y/N) bit his lip as his leg started shaking, channeling his energy as he tried to process what was happening. This was not at all how his normal Saturday mornings would have gone.
"I was wondering how you were this morning," Cedric finished, getting himself his own breakfast and making it clear he intended to stay sitting in front of (Y/N).
(Y/N) cleared his throat a bit and gulped, pushing his food around on his plate and having trouble gathering the courage to look up at Cedric.
"Fine," he settled on answering, nodding a bit too fast. "And you?" Short responses were good, just don't stutter in front of him and it'll all be over soon.
"Good, yes, thanks. Man, they really have better morning biscuits over here at Slytherin table, don't they? Or maybe they just improved the food quality because of our guests," Cedric speculated, smiling brightly at (Y/N) before bringing a piece of biscuit up to his mouth.
"I always did like the mixed jam," (Y/N) quietly peeped up, motioning to a nearby jam as a recommendation. Cedric inspected the glass, glanced at (Y/N), then proceeded to smear a glob of it onto a slice of toast. After tasting it he seemed impressed, nodding with a smile.
"That is very good."
"Diggory?"
"Please, call me Cedric." His pearly whites had charmed their way into many other student's hearts, but at the moment the sun hit them just right so that a glint shot right into (Y/N)'s eyes, making him blink a bit.
"What are you doing, t-talking to me?" (Y/N) whispered, looking around and then quickly looking away as Draco Malfoy locked eyes with him, not wanting to be teased later.
"What do you mean?" Cedric asked, taken aback by the abrupt question.
"I- I really don't mean to be rude, but..." (Y/N) licked his lips as his eyes darted around again. "I'm the most boring Slytherin here, not to c-count for the fact that I'm Slytherin, period. What is Cedric Diggory: the 'Golden Boy' of Hogwarts and current Hufflepuff Champion doing talking to me?" (Y/N) explained further, pushing around his food again to occupy his hands and eyes after his bout of talking.
Cedric sighed and looked at (Y/N) with gentle eyes.
"I wanted to spend breakfast with you. I've heard that you're kind-"
"Who told you that?" (Y/N) asked incredulously, looking up at Cedric with creased eyebrows. He hardly talked to anyone long enough for them to tell if he's kind or not.
"Susan Bones," Cedric responded with raised eyebrows.
(Y/N) nodded in understanding- Susan sometimes sat at the edge of the library table across from him, and they occasionally helped each other with homework.
"You just seem very interesting to me, (L/N). I wanted to get to know you better. It seems that Susan is the only one who knows much about you, which isn't much at all." Cedric smiled at (Y/N), trying to gauge his reaction.
"So, what- I mean... I- What exactly do you want me to do?" (Y/N) was still red but grew warmer as he stumbled over his words, making Cedric realized that he thought (Y/N) was absolutely adorable.
"I was wondering if you'd cheer me on for the first task," Cedric admitted, leaning on his elbows on the table.
Looking up in surprise (Y/N) ducked his head again, a small sarcastic smile paint his face.
"I don't cheer," he mumbled, taking a bite of his food that was growing cold.
"You don't cheer?" Cedric questioned, eyebrows creasing unbelievingly.
(Y/N) shook his head hesitantly in response, still not looking Cedric in his eye.
"Well then..." Cedric thought. "How about a token of good luck?" He smirked.
"Token of good luck?" (Y/N) repeated, glancing quickly at his eyes before realizing his mistake and bringing a hand up to rub the back of his neck, placing his fork on his plate and then taking both hands in front of him, fiddling with his fingers.
"Your scarf, for example," Cedric was now whispering, though he knew (Y/N) heard every word. "Or a piece of jewelry. Fabric, a charm, maybe even something physical..." he was teasing but wasn't sure if (Y/N) picked up on it.
He didn't seem to, seeing as Cedric could basically feel the heat from his face from there.
"I have something," he quietly confirmed, thinking of the bracelet he wore on his wrist. Maybe it was silly but he believed it held good luck, meaning he wore it everyday. Not that it worked, but believing didn't hurt.
"Brilliant! You can meet me before the first task and give it to me then, yeah?"
(Y/N) slowly nodded, glancing into Cedric's eyes again. This time he managed to lock them in, staring into (Y/N)'s (E/C) eyes. (Y/N) felt as if he could get lost in the deep brown of Cedric's, the way the sun reflected off of them and how it felt as if there were a million secrets tucked away behind them.
"See you?" Cedric asked faintly, as if in a trance.
"Yes," (Y/N) confirmed with a quick nod, watching Cedric walk away before realizing his classmates were staring again. He ducked his head and focused on his breakfast.
...
"Dragons?" (Y/N) hissed in a moment of hysteria.
Cedric, who found the outburst amusing coming from the quiet Slytherin, smiled and nodded.
"Dragons," he repeated back.
"Are you daft?" (Y/N) burst again before reigning himself in, calming his breathing and looking around.
"See, you are kind. You care about me," Cedric observed.
"I care whether all of you champion's survive. That's not kindness it's just human decency," (Y/N) dismissed. He felt more confident with his words seeing as he and Cedric were the only two in the hallway just before the outside entrance.
"Still," Cedric objected.
"I'm going to be honest..." (Y/N) bit his lip for a second. "I have no idea why you would ask me to give you good luck. I'm possibly the only one in our year without balance or some sort of strong social relation, so it makes no logical sense to me, but here you are anyways." He untied the black leather bracelet with three metal brackets across the top and motioned for Cedric to hold out his arm, which he did.
(Y/N) pushed up his sleeve a bit and put on the bracelet, tying it was concentration to make sure it didn't come off. Cedric, meanwhile, wouldn't take his eyes off of (Y/N)'s face. The way his tongue slightly stuck out, his eyebrows creased. Cedric could look at it forever; (Y/N)'s face.
"I believe it to be good luck, though I'm not sure it is. But... 'Fake it until you make it', is what my American cousin says." (Y/N) shrugged and gave an awkward smile, stepping back and letting his arms fall a bit stiffly to his sides.
"You have an American cousin?" Cedric asked, looking at the bracelet on his wrist.
(Y/N) nodded and looked out at the stadium that was built for the task. He shook his head and mumbled to himself, "Dragons?"
With a smile Cedric stepped closer to (Y/N), catching his attention.
"Can I hug you?"
(Y/N) blinked in surprised but nodded slowly. "Yeah, sure..."
Cedric wrapped his arms around (Y/N), making him slowly return it with stiff arms, patting his back a little.
"Thank you for the good luck," Cedric whispered as he rested his cheek against (Y/N)'s hair.
"Don't die," came his response.
The most surprising part for (Y/N) wasn't the hug, it was the comforting, safe feeling it brought him. (Y/N) didn't get hugged a lot, his parent's not being very physical people and with his lack social life. He quite enjoyed it, at least Cedric's hugs.
...
Cedric was carried into the healer's tent, laid down on the table and tended to by Madame Pomfrey, who was muttering about unnecessary dangers. Just then the flap of the tent opened a bit, (Y/N) appearing there. He was rubbing his hand, looking around with wide, darting eyes until they landed on Cedric.
Walking; well, more like shuffling, (Y/N) made his way over to Cedric and watched Pomfrey apply burn cream to his exposed chest. The fact that his chest was exposed was something (Y/N) was trying to ignore, but clearly failing seeing the heat creeping up his neck. Cedric noticed this and tried to hide his growing smirk.
Once Madame Pomfrey had finished she nodded to (Y/N), who nodded back in thanks, and walked away. (Y/N) got closer to Cedric's bed and looked at him blankly.
"(L/N)-"
"What is wrong you?" (Y/N) interrupted, playing with his low-hanging green and silver scarf tassel's. Cedric looked away, a bit ashamed. "Well, no, less you. More what is wrong with the adults running this." He sighed aggressively and rolled his eyes, sitting down in a nearby chair. "How... are you feeling?"
"Alright. I'd feel better if you were over here." Cedric patted the bed beside him, sticking out his bottom lip teasingly.
(Y/N)'s face turned red again, making (Y/N) shove his face in his hands.
"Stop!" he whined, muffled by his hands.
Cedric laughed and threw his head back a bit. "I'm sorry, Love. It's just so easy and your reactions are priceless," he admitted.
The pet name didn't help (Y/N)'s current state and after threatening to leave and then debating about who would see, (Y/N) climbed in next to Cedric and awkwardly laid there; though Cedric didn't seem to mind.
...
(Y/N) had visited Cedric in the hospital wing a few times until he was well, bringing him some breakfast before classes, but tried to avoid interaction other than that. He didn't want any trouble for interacting with the popular Hufflepuff.
Sighing, (Y/N) sat down in his usual chair, happy for at least a taste of normalcy as he sat in the library. The one thing in his schedule that hadn't changed; afternoons in the library in the hidden corner.
Seeing a glimpse of a yellow and black robe (Y/N) opened his book, expecting Susan to sit in front of him. But it wasn't Susan.
"(L/N)?" Cedric whispered.
Jumping in surprise (Y/N) looked up at Cedric.
"Cedric? I-I mean, Diggory. What're you doing here?"
"Susan said I could take her place today."
"Is she alright? When did you get discharged?"
"She's fine. And I told you you're kind." (Y/N) rolled his eyes in response. "I got discharged just an hour ago."
(Y/N) sighed and assessed the situation, his nerves getting the better of him and making him shuffle around in his chair.
"Well, since you're here you can grab a book and read with me. Only if you want! Of- of course," (Y/N) rushed to say, jumping all around the place verbally.
Smiling with amusement, Cedric pulled a book out of his bag and opened it to the first page.
"(Y/N), you grew up knowing about muggle things, right?" Cedric asked quietly, looking at (Y/N)'s from over his book.
"Uhm... yes. Why?" (Y/N) responded, looking at him in concern.
"This is a muggle book that Susan insisted I read today, but I don't think I understand it very well," he admitted, chuckling nervously.
(Y/N) looked at the cover and lit up, recognizing his favorite book.
"I love that book! I could help... if you'd like?" he hesitantly offered, smiling a bit.
Cedric nodded and moved to the chair closest to (Y/N), scooting even closer and opening the book in front of them both. Cedric pointed to what he didn't understand and (Y/N) started to explain it for him, not really noticing the way Cedric slid his arm around (Y/N)'s chair behind him.
They spent the rest of the afternoon like that; close together and going over the basics of the muggle book.
As they packed up for dinner, Cedric took a deep breath. There was no time like the present.
"(Y/N)?"
"Hmm?" (Y/N) hummed, standing up and looking at Cedric expectantly. It just clicked for (Y/N) that he didn't feel uncomfortable at all, which was an odd experience. Welcome, but odd.
"Would you..." Cedric's breath was shaky as he breath in, messing with his bag strap and shoving a hand in his pocket. Was this his way of being nervous? "Would you like to go to the Yule Ball with me?"
Speechless, (Y/N) stared at Cedric with a dropped jaw. Cedric was sweating bullets, glancing around looking back at (Y/N).
After quite a while of silence (Y/N) spoke up, "Like... like as your date?" His voice was croaky and faint.
"...Yes." He nodded once.
(Y/N) a deep breath, a smile growing on his face. "Yes. Yeah, I-I think I'd like that."
The tension visibly leaked out of Cedric's shoulders, letting out the breath he had been holding.
"Brilliant! That's just- thank you. I'm so excited," Cedric gushed, hugging (Y/N) quickly before saying goodbye and running off.
(Y/N) stood there, smiling after him. Not only did he get a date for the Yule Ball, but it was The Cedric Diggory. How had he tricked Cedric into asking him?
...
Cedric stood outside of the Great Hall with many other students, waiting for their dates. He took another deep breath and messed with the cuffs of the sleeve's of his dress robes. Looking around again he stopped when he saw (Y/N) walk in alone, looking around at all the students.
Raising his hand to catch his attention, Cedric smiled as (Y/N) started walking towards him.
"(Y/N), you look great," he greeted, taking one of (Y/N)'s hands and kissing his knuckles.
"You look wonderful too, Cedric." He looked around at everyone staring at them and realizing two things: 1) he wasn't a fan of PDA and 2) he signed up to dance with the most wanted boy in Hogwarts, in front of Hogwarts.
Nerves shot up (Y/N)'s arms and his heart sped up.
"Are you alright?" Cedric questioned, noticing the quick change in his date.
"Oh, just... just peachy," (Y/N) said, taking yet another page out of his cousin's book.
"What's going on?" Cedric asked again, taking gentle hold of (Y/N)'s arm.
"There's just a lot of people... a lot of people that stare at you. And if they're staring at you, tonight they'll also be staring at me," (Y/N) explained breathily, eyes darting around as he tried to catch his breath.
"Hey, hey, hey," Cedric whispered as he guided (Y/N) out of the crowd and against the wall as Professor McGonagall went around to check on the champions. "Take a minute. Deep breaths, in and out. Just look at me."
Those brown eyes work magic. Or maybe it was the breathing, but (Y/N) soon calmed.
"It's just me and you," he whispered to (Y/N), holding his hands. "When we go out there to dance it's just me and you, okay?"
(Y/N) nodded back, gulping and taking a deep breath.
"Mr. Diggory, Mr. (L/N), are you ready to go in for the first dances?" McGonagall asked as she walked past the two.
"Yes, Professor," Cedric confirmed as (Y/N) nodded, the two walking to the line of champions.
"Hello, Harry, Cho," Cedric greeted, waving to Cho Chang, who went with Harry after not being asked by Cedric.
"Cedric." Harry nodded back, looking you up and down suspiciously. "Who's this?"
"(Y/N) (L/N), my date." Cedric smiled and pulled (Y/N) in a little closer by their linked arms.
"It's great to meet you," (Y/N) said with a quiet voice, smiling softly.
Harry, apparently concluding that this wasn't one of the bad Slytherin's, nodded and smiled back, turning to look forward again.
"We've got this," Cedric mumbled to (Y/N), squeezing his hand before they entered.
(Y/N) knew how to dance, very well, actually. But in private. Cedric was fully taking the lead as (Y/N) was just trying his hardest to not let the shaking in his arms show.
"Remember, just you and me," Cedric mumbled under his breath, staring (Y/N) in the eyes.
It was most definitely the eyes that calmed (Y/N). Looking into them (Y/N) imagined they were dancing alone, music playing in the background- or in the rain, dancing the waltz without a care.
Once the world faded away around them they swept across the dance floor with the other couples, lost in each other's smiles.
People started joining the dance and several other songs followed after, tiring (Y/N) out and making Cedric guide him to the drink table.
"So, how are you feeling?" Cedric asked as he got him a cup, portioning out some of the drink they had and getting himself his own.
"Wonderful, actually." (Y/N) sounded surprised with his own response. Cedric handed him the cup with a smile. "What even is this?"
"...Punch?"
The two laughed and (Y/N) took a sip, shrugging to show it wasn't that bad as the two took a seat.
"You have wonderful eyes, you know," (Y/N) commented, taking a sip of his drink.
"So do you. But I particularly like your facial expressions."
"My facial expressions?"
"Yes, just like that one." He motioned to (Y/N)'s face, making (Y/N) force his face to be blank. "It's not a bad thing," Cedric laughed. "I love watching you express yourself in a way that you don't in public."
"Cedric, can I ask you something?" (Y/N) asked, looking at his cup.
"Anything."
"Why'd you ask me? You could have your choice of any classmate, really, yet you choose me? The one who can barely function?"
Cedric shook his head as if (Y/N) just wasn't understanding.
"Because you're you. O-other classmates aren't like you," he stuttered, trying to find the words. "I can't get the conversations we have- or the feeling I get when I look into your eyes. And sometimes your lack of ability to function is just downright adorable." Cedric looked at (Y/N) while saying this, trying to get through to him.
"Even if I don't do public well?" (Y/N) asked quietly.
"Even if you don't do public well," Cedric confirmed, reaching across the table and taking (Y/N)'s hand.
The snap of a camera light surprised both of the boys, looking over to the source of the distraction.
"Oh, young love!" Rita Skeeter loudly cooed (more like howled). "Cedric Diggory, what can you tell me about this young man who's your date tonight?" Her floating quill stopped right before the paper, waiting for Cedric to say something.
"Nothing. Please leave us be," Cedric spoke strongly, catching Harry and Hermione's attention.
"Ms. Skeeter, have you seen that couple across the room, there?" Hermione called, pointing vaguely across the ballroom. Rita trilled and ran off, trying to find juicier gossip then Cedric and (Y/N).
Hermione and Harry walked up to the two boys.
"Thank you so much," (Y/N) breathed out, putting his face in his hands for a moment.
"Of course, that woman is awful. Are you alright?"
"Yes, thank you. I just don't... public, well." Cedric and (Y/N) shared a look.
"I'm Hermione Granger, I'm not sure we've met before. I'm in Gryffindor." Hermione held out her hand and (Y/N) shook it.
"(Y/N) (L/N), Slytherin," he responded.
"Really? I would've never expected!"
"You'd be surprised," Cedric responded, smirking at (Y/N). "Where are your dates?" he turned to Harry and Hermione.
"Viktor is getting us some drinks," Hermione responded.
"Viktor Krum?" (Y/N) asked with raised eyebrows. After Hermione responded with a smile and nod (Y/N) held out his hand and received a high five.
"Cho's off dancing with some other guy," Harry admitted with a sour look on his face, hands in his pockets.
"The dancing was fun but can get so tiring," Hermione changed the subject, waving at Viktor.
"Would you like to go get a breath of fresh air, (Y/N)?" Cedric asked, standing up and holding his hand out, giving (Y/N) an escape from the crowded room.
"Please," he responded, taking Cedric's hand and standing up with him. "Pleasure to meet you, Granger."
"And you!"
Once they had gotten into the grassy fields outside of the castle (Y/N) sighed and sat down, not worrying about if his dress robes got grass stains.
Cedric laughed quietly and sat down next to him, the two laying down and looking up at the starry sky.
"Thank you," (Y/N) whispered.
"For what?" Cedric asked incredulously.
"For giving me a better Yule Ball then I ever expected to have."
"Well, you know one way you can repay me?" Cedric asked, sitting up, making (Y/N) follow.
"What is that?"
"A kiss, of course." Cedric tilted his head.
Blushing harder than Cedric had seen him do in weeks (Y/N) leaned forward but stopped halfway.
"Come on, I can't do all the work," he whispered urgently, not having the courage to go further.
Cedric quickly swooped in and sealed the kiss, the stars above them twinkling.
...
"Mr. (Y/N) (L/N)," Madame Pince asked, approaching Susan and him at their table.
"Madame Pince?" (Y/N) asked, standing up with his book in his hand.
"Professor Dumbledore is requesting you in his office," came her monotone reply, turning and walking back to her desk.
"What's going on?" Susan asked, shutting her book as well.
"I have no clue," (Y/N) admitted, gathering his things and bidding farewell to Susan.
On his way down the hallway he saw Hermione walking the same way as him.
"Granger?" he called hesitantly.
"(L/N)! Where are you off to?" Hermione looked over and started walking towards him.
"Dumbledore's office, strangely enough," he responded, falling into step with her.
"...So am I," she admitted, a look of confusion settling on her face.
The two shared a concerned glance but walked together the rest of the way anyways.
Ron and Gabriella Delacour stood outside the gargoyle on the wall.
"Ron, Fleur's little sister?" Hermione called out as they approached.
Suddenly the gargoyle shifted along with the wall it was attached to, and a staircase appeared. Ron went up first and everyone else followed behind. It felt like (Y/N)'s stomach was tying knots around itself as he walked in behind the group, standing a bit to the side.
"Professor Dumbledore?" Hermione asked as they entered, wanting more information to what was going on.
"Be calm," is all he said before (Y/N) saw black.
...
It was as if the sun rose all at once when (Y/N)'s head came out of the water, making him gasp for air and cling to the only thing he could comprehend at the moment, which was Cedric.
"Shhh, it's alright. I've got you," Cedric reassured him, one arm around his waist and the other pushing it's way through the water. He quickly reached the doc and some students helped pull you out, Cedric next.
"Cedric Diggory seems to be the first out of the water with Mr. (Y/N) (L/N)!" the announcer roared, the crowd cheering. Cedric didn't even look in their direction as he wrapped a towel around (Y/N), holding his face as he shivered.
"Are you okay?" he asked as he took a towel from someone else, both him and (Y/N) still on their knees in the grass.
Nodding, but never fully, (Y/N) shook in the grass. Cedric sat back against a nearby tree and took (Y/N) in his arms, rubbing up and down his back and arms to warm him.
"Are you?" (Y/N) asked, looking up at Cedric through his lashes.
"I'm... fine. I never want to see you like that again, though," Cedric admitted, brushing back a few pieces of (Y/N)'s wet hair.
"I don't plan on blacking out unwillingly anytime soon," (Y/N) responded, making Cedric laugh. (Y/N) put his head down in the crook of Cedric's neck, falling asleep. Who knew being tied up at the bottom of the lake would be so tiring?
...
"I'm going to win," Cedric said with determination, looking up at his father who nodded with a smile. "But before I go in there, I need to introduce you to someone."
"Oh?"
(Y/N) approached the two after Cedric motioned him over.
"Mr. Diggory? I'm (Y/N) (L/N)." (Y/N) held out a hand for him to shake, which he did.
"Nice, strong grip," Amos complimented, smiling at his son.
"He's my boyfriend," Cedric elaborated, making Amos throw out his arms.
"Well, why didn't you say so?" He wrapped his arms around (Y/N) and suddenly (Y/N) realized where Cedric had gotten his hugging abilities.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir."
"None of that 'sir' business, call me Amos. Now I best get on, but I'll see you later. Good luck, son."
"Thanks, dad!"
He walked away, leaving the two alone together. Cedric saw the look on (Y/N)'s face and pulled him into a hug.
"I don't have a good feeling about this, Cedric," he insisted, Cedric's robes clutched in his fingers.
"Don't worry. I'll win!"
"Not about you winning- look, Cedric. I know winning is important to you, but it's okay to lose sometimes. I need you to promise me, you'll stop thinking about winning as the only good outcome of this." (Y/N) looked deeply into Cedric's eyes with a serious stare.
"I- fine. Okay, I promise. Whether I win, or lose, we'll still end up dancing barefoot in your room this summer," Cedric teased, brushing his nose against (Y/N)'s cheek, drawing a giggle out of him.
"You've got the bracelet?" (Y/N) asked, checking his wrist.
"I do, and it's helped all the other times so no doubt it'll work for this task too."
"Don't die. Don't be the hero," (Y/N) whispered, pulling Cedric into a kiss.
"I'll be back," Cedric assured, going back in for a second kiss.
"Champions, line up!"
Cedric pecked (Y/N) one last time and ran off to the other champion's, leaving (Y/N) to walk to the stands. Once he climbed up Hermione waved him over, patting an empty seat beside her.
"Hello, (Y/N)," Hermione greeted with a smile.
"Hermione." (Y/N) nodded briefly before his leg started bouncing, gulping and looking around.
"It's alright to be nervous," Hermione comforted, patting (Y/N)'s shoulder.
...
"They should be out by now, shouldn't they?" Ron asked, looking down as (Y/N) was pacing in front of the maze where they had been told to wait.
(Y/N) shook his head and kept walking, trying to focus on breathing and not Cedric's absence or the crowded stands looking down at them.
Just then Harry and Cedric appeared, both standing up with wide, blank stares. They were panting and covered in dirt, wands shaking in their hands.
The Professors and Dumbledore rushed over, hiding the two from view as people in the stands erupted in cheers, the ones on the ground panicking.
"(Y/N)?!" Cedric shouted as he was dragged away by Professors, leaving a sad looking (Y/N) behind him.
...
A knock came from (Y/N)'s empty dorm. Why was it empty? He didn't really know. He assumed his dormmates, who barely knew his name, had gone off to bunk with the other boys for the night. Everyone needed a bit of comfort after the events of today and the rumors going around.
(Y/N) stood up from his bed, not being able to get any shut eye anyways. His thoughts were preoccupied with a certain champion. Where he'd gone, why the teachers had forced him to go to his dorms instead of wait for Diggory. Opening the door, expecting to see one of the dormmates, shock spread through him when he saw the very boy who occupied his thoughts.
"...Cedric?" (Y/N) whispered with a very concerned look.
Cedric said nothing, just walking forward and taking (Y/N) into his arms and holding him there tightly, like he was Cedric's life source. (Y/N) wrapped his arms around Cedric's shoulders, his hand combing through Cedric's curly locks as he whispered sweet nothings in to his ear.
"Shh, it's okay Cedric," he cooed as Cedric started to cry, shaking in (Y/N)'s arms.
"I listened to you," Cedric squeaked, voice thick with tears. "I heard your voice in my head when that awful portkey landed us in that graveyard. 'Don't be the hero'. I dove to the side before the spell could hit me but I was an inch from death."
(Y/N) led him to the edge of his bed and wiped his tears away with the pads of his thumbs.
"Thank you," (Y/N) whispered, smiling gently at him, trying not to think about the fact that he could have lost the first person who ever meant something to him. "Do you want to stay here tonight?" (Y/N) willed him to say yes, stroking the side of Cedric's head as he looked into his eyes.
Cedric nodded and pulled (Y/N) close again, breathing him in and holding his head to his chest. He was just so glad he was here, with the person he cared for most.
End

I can't say for sure whether this is actually good or not, but... I think it is?
I really hoped this somewhat lived up to your standards, Anon 😅

what jealous Cedric would be like…
slu7formen’s masterlist | cedric diggory masterlist
Okay but, Cedric was not actually jealous.
Of course, he doesn’t like it when guys are too close to you but, he was fine with you having as many friends as you want so… there was no need to be jealous about anyone.
But oh, if we talk about that Ravenclaw guy.
He was in the same year as you, and as far as he knew, you and him were partners in potions. Cedric saw him many times around you, walking next to you or exchanging notes you wrote during class, but didn’t actually know the guy’s name.
Your boyfriend didn’t pay much attention to it until one week you started to spend too much time with him —not actually that much time but it felt like a century to Ced, since he wanted you around all the time— because of a project. Now the problem wasn’t that, the problem was, that guy wouldn’t leave you alone.
He would walk behind you with the excuse of discussing something about the project but it was so obvious that he just wanted to talk to you and spend time with you but of course: that didn’t happen when Cedric was around.
It almost was as if your boyfriend was a shield to his failed attention seeker mission.
Cedric knew how guys worked, even though he never wanted to steal someone’s girl, he obviously noticed when someone tried to steal his girl. And he didn’t like it.
So, he waited for you to get out of class, as he often did, but not only with the purpose of seeing you, but seeing him.
That shiny black haired bastard with his bright perfect smile and sharp jawline was laughing about something funny you said as you stepped out of the classroom. None of you noticed Cedric’s presence just three meters away from you.
His jaw slightly clenched when he immediately noticed the desperate desire of that guy for you to stay with him and talk, when you tried to leave. He had grabbed your wrist, forcing you to turn around to him again. Was he dumb? Was he dumb enough to really think that he could have a chance with you when you had a boyfriend?
And even if you didn’t have a boyfriend, why was he so insistent!?
Cedric couldn’t deny that maybe if you were single, his now handsome enemy would be the perfect match for you; he was truly good looking… but come on, who could beat Cedric? No one, to your eyes. He almost felt insecure about himself as he walked towards you and saw the Ravenclaw’s face closer and closer, if you hadn’t told him a million times how perfect he was while kissing his lips the night before, and as many nights as you could.
He took big yet small steps towards the two of you. Your back was turned to him, so you slightly jumped when a big and heavy arm smoothed over your shoulders. “Ced” you smiled when you saw him, an instant relief drawing your face “You scared me” you said while placing a hand over your chest.
“M’ sorry, love” he replied, trying to make the last word extra clear, his signature smirk on his rosy lips as he looked down at you, but a sharp looking stare at your friend when he looked forward, right into his eyes. “And you are…?”
His tone was nice… but still a little, poisonous, as if his words had a slight glimpse of venom or acid, falling right into his victim’s cheeks, which blushed with embarrassment. His posture immediately changed as he introduced himself to your boyfriend, and you looked at the both of them, confused.
Cedric was big next to him. His large figure and height out stood your potions partner’s with ease as his arm was still around you, and your friend walked away shyly, muttering something about seeing you around, and then cursing to himself as he disappeared into the crowd of students.
You pushed Cedric’s arm back, as you looked at him with frowned brows, your neck slightly going up to look at his whole face.
“What was that about?”
“What was what?” he played dumb. You rolled your eyes.
“Ced…”
“I don’t like him” his voice interrupted you as he crossed his arms over his chest, taking another dominant position, this time to you. “He’s looking for your attention, and he tries too hard”
You noticed the jaw clench as his mouth closed, and you shook your head slightly, squinting your eyes and letting a small smile show from behind your lips.
“Are you jealous?” you asked.
He scoffed, turning his head to the left, as if something interesting was happening towards that direction. You laughed this time.
“Oh my God! You totally are” you took his hands as he rolled his eyes. His body followed yours as your feet took a step back, dragging your boyfriend to you as your back hit the cold wall behind you. Cedric would never admit he was actually jealous, but it felt good to you to know that he was, so he kept it that way just so you could keep smiling. “Why?”
“I told you, I don’t like him. Whenever you are alone, he comes right after you. Like you are his prey or something” his hands played with your fingers before he felt your lips press into his red cheek, you knew how much he loved those kisses.
“Then don’t leave me” you pleaded and whispered to his ear. He blushed at your voice tone as you pulled him by the arm, already taking a new direction to somewhere he didn’t know yet. “I need some help with a few books at the library, will you help me? Maybe I could snatch the jealousy out of your system”
Cedric smiled, he knew exactly what library meetings were.
“Yes, ma’am”

Living at home sucked.
There was no privacy, even with both of my parents gone they still had muggle devices in and around our house to record at all times, meaning whenever I was home alone, I wasn’t really alone.
“No boys, we’ll be watching the cameras.”
I was literally an adult. So when me and Cedric did see each other, it was at his place. Though, his dad rarely left the house so it was hard enough to kiss, never mind fuck. His father even banned us from sitting on the bed at the same time, I missed him. I missed his body pressed up to mine, I missed the way his dick pushed around my guts, I missed everything about Cedric.
So, when I got the small car for my birthday, of course I saw way more potential than just driving to my muggle job.
I picked him up from the corner from which he apparated onto. Finally parking in a empty lot with a service road at least 400 feet away from the car. I smiled at him and said “You want to…?”, I gestured to the back of the car. Before I had left home I had told my Mum that I’d be putting down the seats and removing the headrests in the back to do so, you know, so I could see better out of my rear window.
We moved my bag into the front seat and settled in the back of the car, laying flat to avoid any passerby’s who may glance towards the window. But to be honest, I knew nobody would approach a car so far from the entrance to the store. I wouldn’t.
I turned to him and said “Do you want me on top or missionary?”. He pondered for a minute, then finally said,
“It’ll be better in missionary.” And I nodded. Quickly we both pulled down our pants, and I pulled him in for a kiss. Our tongues danced together as if it were the yule ball we met at. I pulled away, panting, and guided his hand towards my aching cunt.
“Is this okay?” I asked him, to which he smiled and leaned down to kiss me again. I felt his fingers circle around my clit, and then dip into me to gather the wetness that had been pooling only centimeters away from where his fingers just were. He smoothly thrusted his fingers in and out of me, making a soft squelching noise. “Cedric-“ My hand gravitated down, circling my bud as his fingers went deeper and deeper with each thrust. My hips bucked, my vision turned white, and I was in heaven.
I panted as he got between my legs. His chest touched mine and I wrapped my legs around his waist. “You ready?” He asked, caressing my face with his hand.
“Fuck me.” was all the encouragement he needed. He stretched me open, my hands clinging to his sides as he bottomed out. He didn’t wait to move, he just started pounding into me with the sweetest speed I’d ever felt. His face fell into my neck, and I could hear his moans being muffled by my skin. With every thrust I moaned his name out. “Cedric, fuck, Cedric I love you!” I don’t think he heard me, because he just kissed me and tucked his head back down. Usually when I say I love you during sex he says it back.
His hips started to go faster and suddenly I was no longer full but feeling a hot liquid drop on my stomach. I reached for the towel I had put next to me and wiped it away best I could. He was panting and I pulled him back down into an embrace. He eventually pulled himself back to a kneeling position over me.
He said, “What if I just go back in.” And he chuckled.
“Do it.” I said, and once again was full of him.
His thrusts were still strong and I felt his lips on my neck. I felt myself come undone around him as he rubbed my clit between us. I felt his thrusts speed up and then slow to a stop.
The rest of the night I felt his seed in my panties, dripping into the fabric from my cunt.

November Prompt Day 1: Theater
Words: 681 | Pairing : Cedric Diggory x reader, sixth year
Tumblr media
You hadn’t given it much thought at first when the sandy haired Hufflepuff, Cedric Diggory asked you to join him for a movie over break just before boarding the train home. It seemed like any other friendly gesture and students often hung out during breaks. Even Hermione had asked you to join her in taking up visiting an art museum over the break, in which you happily agreed.
“Yeah, of course,” was all you had managed over the pages of your crisp book pages and he waltzed away with a smile before settling into the compartment diagonal from yours.
Solora Hazelridge, a blue-eyed, black haired Ravenclaw, who whispers say, should have been sorted into Slytherin with her cunning cleverness, but managed Ravenclaw because of her wits and wish to the Sorting Hat in her first year, slips into your half-loaded compartment.
“Did I just witness Cedric Diggory ask you out on a date?” she chimes.
“A date? Of course not.”
“Cedric never asks girls out unless he’s interested, or so I’ve heard.”
“Solora, I really just want to finish this book,” you sigh, not wanting to give much thought into what’s happened until you’re alone.
“Just think about what I said. Hufflepuff or not, Cedric doesn’t seem to be one that chooses lightly.”
And in the turn of a page, she’s gone.
That was a week ago and now you stand in the slight unfamiliarity of your own room back home in London, staring at yourself in the mirror with Solora’s words echoing in your mind.
A saffron colored dress clings to your curves and a dangly, beaded purse hangs from your shoulder. Your usually pinned curls have been let down and cut bluntly against your mid-back. You hardly recognize yourself in this setting, but you don’t have time to dwell on your looks or the neat makeup plastered across your lids, nor the glimmer smeared against the plumpness of your lips. You’re supposed to meet Cedric in less than ten minutes and transfiguring into a crowd of people isn’t ideal.
You’d settled on a nearby alley to spare yourself the trouble of being caught by any muggles. You don’t want to be caught in a scene where the police deem the witness insane because magic isn’t real to those who don’t believe.
When you reach the theater, slightly out of breath from your detour, Cedric stands just outside, preoccupied by the list of movies on the dingy white placard above the ticket window.
“You’d think the best movies would be played when students come back home for breaks, but they always save the bad ones for us.”
“I’d say they do it on purpose, but Merlin, that’d just be bad for business,” Cedric chortles and finally allows his gaze to roll towards you.
His curly hair is pushed back off his forehead and he’s sporting his usually charming smile; the same one you found yourself becoming all too familiar with even in the crowded hallways at school and even in the Great Hall. It was the very reason you were so reluctant in your response. After all, a smile could lead to anything.
You and Cedric decide on something they labeled as horror and settle in the back row with a large bin of popcorn and two drinks.
“Do you think it’ll be gory?” He chuckles while settling into the leather seat.
“Maybe,” you taunt. “Do you have a weak stomach, Cedric?”
The previews glisten in his irises when he turns to you, smiling mockingly because he’s too manly to admit it directly.
“Do you?”
“Of course not,” you whisper, trying not to focus too much on his steady gaze, but end up failing miserably.
He gently strokes your chin, allowing his fingertips to crawl across your jawline before leaning in closer.
“May I?”
You nod, too stunned to talk and too surprised that a heartthrob like Cedric would pick you for something like this.
And as his soft lips press into yours in the dark back row of the empty theater, you find yourself wondering: why me?

Parties at Hogwarts were common. Everyone enjoyed them, and mostly everyone went to them. Tonight, the Hufflepuff were hosting the party. The common room was lit up with bright yellow lights and the smell of alcohol reeked through the atmosphere. You were on the dance floor with all your friends when you felt a hand on your shoulder.
“Y/n, heyyyyyy!” Cedric Diggory, one of you best friends, had stumbled his way over to you.
“Cedric, having a hard time walking?” You laughed, and you could feel like alcohol radiating off his breath as he stood next to you.
“Nah, i’m fine.” He was slurring his words, and you could tell he was far from sober.
“Ced,” you started, “Do you need me to walk you to your dorm?”
“Love that,” He looked like he was going to finish his sentence, but you think he lost his train of thought halfway through.
You said goodbye to your friends and started guiding Cedric to his room.

As you opened the door to Cedric’s room, you were quite suprised. It was very clean, and smelled pretty good for a boy’s dorm. It was probably his doing. Even though you were best friends, you had never been in his dorm.
“Sooooo, whatya think?” he murmured, letting out a boyish giggle afterwards.
“It looks nice. I’m suprised.” You chuckled, taking a step closer to him. “You should probably take off your shoes. You know, get ready for bed.”
“What if i don’t wanna go to bed?”
The two of you were now sitting on his bed, as you untied his shoes after he proved he was not able to.
“You should stay with me tonight.” Cedric said.
“Don’t let the alcohol talk for you, love.” The pet name just slipped out. It wasn’t a weird thing for you to say, because you and Cedric would jokingly flirt a lot of the time. You had been friends for years, it wasn’t a weird thing.
“I like when you call me that,” he paused, “Love.”
Something inside you lit up. You knew he was drunk, and maybe he didn’t mean it. But maybe, just maybe, he really did. You’d never really had a true “crush” on Cedric, but you’d always thought he was cute. And nice. Well, maybe a little crush.
“You know what I also like?” You froze. Was Cedric gonna say what you thought he was gonna say? There’s no way. You had to remind yourself that he wasn’t in the right headspace. He was hammered, and frankly, he was more hammered then you had ever seen him before. But you know, drunk words are sober thoughts. So you couldn’t drop all hope.
“What’s that, Cedric?” You finally responded, tentatively.
“You.” He said it so simply, so quickly, and you swore you could see something in his eye. Something was telling you he really meant it. That he’d had this pent up in his body for a while, and the alcohol was what let it out.
Next thing you know, Cedric was leaning in toward you. You could see every little detail of his being. His amber eyes, and the soft freckles that dotted his nose. The lopsided, flirty grin that dawned his face. He moved his head to the side slowly.
“Can I kiss you, Y/n?” He whispered. It was so quiet, and so differant from how you saw him regularly. He was usually outgoing and loud. But now, he was vulnerable and sweet. A new side to him, the boy you’d known for seven years.
“Yes, i’d like that.”
The kiss was soft, sweet and everything you’d expect it to be. Hopefully he’d remember this in the morning. Hopefully, this wouldn’t be the last kiss.
