Now, wasn't the tiny one just adorable. Kids were such bad liars most of the time it was truly endearing – and probably one of the less sad reasons he got along better with them than with most adult humanoids. It was an embarrassing weakness, sure and he'd rather keep it well hidden and away from the public eye – especially the eyes of the family. Here was to hoping the little one wouldn't go running to their siblings and talk about him but then again for the first time since getting them the ears actually seemed to have a perk to them.
Any story told would surely include the feline-looking set of appendages that would hopefully would be gone soon enough. So the other option the other offered was definitely off the table.
“Hah.”, he tried his best fake laugh but the thought was genuinely amusing. “I'm certain your family would not appreciate your current affiliation with me.”, Aventurine wouldn't be surprised if someone was willing to come for his head for daring to use the young one for his own shady goals – even though it was nothing like that. “Ah, yes. Cats.”, came from him, a hand running along his forearm in thought. Well, maybe he could bribe the dream doctor to summon a memory of a cat cafe. With all gathered information it seemed to be the best option. “Come along then.”, he offered before setting into motion.
fat lil princess tiabeanie just botched a jump onto the bed, looked at me with the most traumatized little kitty eyes, ran away when i couldn't stifle my laughter, stopped at her father's feet, let out the most drawn-out, disconsolate meow i've ever heard in my life, and then smashed the 'food' button 💀
I spent March/May this year writing and illustrating a short comic book all about cats called ‘Catventures’. It features a lot of the cats I’ve known in my life, mostly family pets, but also some friends’ cat friends, too!
My shop is closed until 30th July (this Saturday) at 5pm GMT, but it’ll be available for purchase once my shop is back open!
In the meantime, I’ll be sharing a few of the comics from the book here~

I am crestfallen to report a measly 50% success rate for today’s Catventure.
Specimens A and B were both receptive to petting. Specimen A ran up to me and asked for said petting; specimen B remained recumbent while I approached, but accepted the pets. Success (twice).
Specimen C was not receptive to petting. After smelling my hand, they tried to bite me and swat me away. Failure.
Specimen D was not actually a cat, only a depiction of specimen C on a power box. Failure.
1 whole minute of me meowing back n forth w a friendly cat I'd found!! a VERY chatty fellow ^w^ I found them near the entrance thts near the playground hehe.

He should really say no. What if someone caught him? Maybe putting on his usual outfit again had been a mistake – should've stayed with the hoodie. Ah, well, what was the worst that could happen?
So, he leaned down a little to enable the request. “Alright.”, Aeon's have mercy the little one decided to pull on them however.

the stray Ceb spontaneously adopted seemed to be acting stranger and stranger with every passing day. one of it´s habits, for example, was it´s..talkativeness. it would always meow to announce it´s presence when it entered a room that Ceb was currently in and it would even meow when it left. it was almost as if it was verbally saying ´hello´ and ´goodbye´. but it would only do that with Ceb. Maxwell and Blue were left silently acknowledged. at least, until Blue makes the cat acknowledge him.
it still didn´t get along with Maxwell, but oddly enough, Blue didn´t seem to scare the cat one bit. the large pup would bark loudly and storm up to the cat for cuddles and the stray wouldn´t move a muscle. not even flinch. sometimes it would hiss and boop Blue´s nose with it´s paw, but it never attacked him or seemed threatened.
well, judging by the way the cat still looked, with it´s fur missing in patches and scars all over, it was safe to say the poor thing endured worse than a huge, barking dog tackling it for cuddles and slobbering kisses.
