♡ Welcome to Agere Archive! ♡
The goal here is to Archive all Age/Pet Regression and Dreaming flags, as well as related terms, genders, and IDs! Little Alters / Syskids are also included and welcome here!
All flags & terms are reblogged from their original source, unless otherwise stated.
Most flag reblogs will include a high-res 5000px by 3000px version of the flag, along with an image description! We do our best to tag for eyestrain, but if we happen to overlook one, please let us know! Tagging system is below the cut
As an archive, this blog doesn't have an expansive DNI; however, do know that creators each have their own DNI criteria please respect all of them and their boundaries ♡

It's so wild to me that as a community we're still so hostile to multigender and genderfluid people existing in gay and lesbian spaces.
You...are aware that people who are both men and women are allowed to be gay, right? And lesbian? Their other genders doesn't cancel their connection to womanhood, or manhood, or whatever else they id with. They are allowed to be gay despite their fem-alignment, and they are allowed to be lesbian despite their masc-alignment.
It comes from these weird online spaces that the standard to be gay or lesbian is to be a "non-woman" or a "non-man," which is inherently transmultiphobic and...extremely ahistorical. And completely misunderstands nonbinary identity. So if you're both then you just don't belong anywhere I suppose.

Pet peeve related to a post of mine that people have been tagging weirdly: I don’t get why you would call a dude who’s caring towards kids a mother. like "oooh he’s such a mom for this." No he’s not? You’re not breaking any gender norms, just drawing attention to the fact you believe so deeply that childcare is a woman’s job that you can’t conceive of a man filling that role.
Or if what you’re saying is actually: "he’s caring in the way mothers are caring," you’re still not making a revolutionary statement. You’re saying tenderness and gentleness are inherently feminine and unmanly. It’s like saying that a man doing the dishes or baking is "wife-coded" which I’ve seen some of you say btw. Which is insane to me
If you’d say of a nurturing guy that he’s a mother then I have to assume you’d call a tough gal who teaches kids to play rough a "father". (I know you wouldn’t and yet it’s the exact same thing.) And mulling that over for a minute should make it plain to you why that’s just a sexist view of parenthood.

I kind of find it funny that Movie! Goldenheart are visibly different heights and are less... For lack of a better term straightifiable (by which I mean, it's harder for like, fujoshis to project heterosexual gender norms onto them wherein shorter=feminine=bottom etc) while Comic! Goldenheart, which is VERY often straightified with Comic Ambrosius often being treated/written as if he was a woman, are shown on numerous occasions to be exactly the same height. Like go ahead and try to make him UwU petite, he's not any shorter than Blackheart. As for Boldheart who IS shorter than Ambrosius, he's an absolute brick shithouse so try to feminize him I dare you??
Idk I just think it's a fun slap in the face to people who reduce gay male characters to stereotypical heterosexual gender norms. N.D. Stevenson said no ladies here these bitches GAY gay with those character designs.

being in fandom and aro is like i enjoy these characters' dynamic 'right? they're the perfect couple!' hmm well they're not together in canon, so that's not really the dynamic i'm talking about 'oh, so you don't ship them? i guess it's because you're aro, but that's okay! they can still be platonic!' free your mind.. please. do you understand that these categories of attachment are made up? are you capable of enjoying a relationship dynamic without first defining it?

thinking about what vastra said about the 11 to 12 regeneration being 'stripping away the veil'... i really do think 12 is very fundimentally The Doctor Unfiltered like he's a grumpy old man who is very tired and has a bit of a superiority complex and does morally questionable things but has a lot of love (possibly too much) for the right people. which is kind of how 10 is under his 'i'm just a quirky little dude' persona and how 11 is under his childish silly persona and how 13 is under her endearing erratic rambly persona (9 i think is kind of different bc imo his cover up is being purposely abrasive and difficult but my point still stands bc i don't think 12 is doing that either)?? and i think his arc mirroring 1's is kinda linked too with the whole softening over time thing he has going on? like he's stripping away the veil by becoming like the first version of himself

Tumblr fandom logic these days: if two characters with different sets of genitals hook up, then they’re straight and cis and the ship is hetero and it’s all Bad and Boring and Problematic

why does everything have to be so complicated. why cant we just say okay this is a space/institution/scholarship/whatever for women only, this one is for transwomen only, and this one is for both of us? why does it have to be such a fight. i think its reasonable to create opportunities and spaces for trans people especially when they are medically transitioned but why does it have to mean female only spaces, opportunities and so on have to always be inclusive of males

Curious about what everyone's priorities and goals are. I've tried to be as general as possible and avoid intracommunity issues. Obviously we all want all/most of these things but try to choose something you feel especially passionate about, or a cause you would (or do) donate your time towards.
Please add anything I've missed (there's lots!!) in the comments.

#stream of consciousness thoughts#seeing reactionaries on twitter starting to highlight *both* ''pronouns in bio'' *and* any mention of disabilities in bio#eugenics always interconnects layers of marginalization#the ideology defines each category through the lens of others#transness as 'gender failure' *becomes* disability through the lens of eugenics-- calling it a ''mental illness''#disability *becomes* 'gender failure' through the lens of eugenics-- degendering visibly disabled people#gender is racialized & race is gendered and cast through the lens of disability (e.g. IQ bullshit etc.)#they degrade oppressed people through drawing comparison with other oppressed people#with the intention that in defending ourselves we will degrade each other#solidarity is (on an extremely practical level) the best weapon#e.g. if you say women are less intelligent and less able I am not degraded by being compared to cognitively or physically disabled people#if you say that my being nonbinary makes me 'mentally ill' I am not degraded by being compared to mentally/psychologically disabled people#in the latter example of course I am both! but the point is that we can defend ourselves with solidarity#instead of with endlessly attempting to prove our worth by separating ourselves from others (because that implies they are not also worthy#and it particularly damns people at the intersections of these categories and leaves them without solidarity from anyone.)#trying to *justify* our worth as people is a trap because all people are worthy of basic care and respect#I'm not saying not to fact check/debunk/challenge bullshit claims-- but I am saying that we need to ensure that in doing so#we are *never* implying that the most disabled/gendered/racialized/etc. person is lesser
