Schlatt x Fem Reader; Jambo

‘You can’t just steal my cat y/n.’ Schlatt commented, having barely seen Jambo all week. Every time he did, Jambo was snuggled up in y/n’s arms. While happy that his cat was getting along with his favorite human, he still couldn’t help being jealous. It was supposed to be him and Jambo against the world so to speak.

‘Hey buddy’ y/n greeted Jambo as he jumped up on the couch. The cat letting her scratch behind his ears. She smiled as Jambo purred, nuzzling into her hand with his head. ‘Why does he like you all of a sudden?’ The question would’ve sounded rude if it was from anyone else. ‘Because Grumps, I’ve been feeding him when you stream. Been forgetting lately.’ She responded, her words void of any malice. Her words made Schlatt attempt to recall when he last fed Jambo.

Jambo wasn’t hiding from him via cuddling y/n. His little man was giving him the cold shoulder. The revelation cutting him deeply. ‘Come here buddy, your pops has finally gotten it through his thick skull.’ Y/n held Jambo to her face, like Simba off the ledge in the first Lion King film. Cooing when Jambo let out a small yowl. ‘I know, I know. I’m sorry I forgot about you buddy.’

Looking up to y/n, he mouthed the words ‘thank you.’
