Thinking about how Shoko, after she got over the shock, must be really happy that her morgue was a source of joy and miracle for once when Yuuji returned to life.

Shoko's entire life is surrounded by death. Her power, her job, her workplace - all of them are just brutal, depressing, and hopeless. This is further compounded by the fact that most likely, the sorcerers that end up dead on her are table are probably young: the weak and vulnerable. She must be tired to the soul.

So, Yuuji to just sit up with a confused face as if death was nothing. It's a shock but a wonderful kind of shock that must have purified Shoko's spirit and renewed some brightness in her life.

"Miracles do happen after all." Shoko probably thought that night while chugging down a celebratory drink from her stash in the lab.

I believe that had Satoru didn't suggest about keeping Yuuji's survival a secret at first, Shoko would have strongly implied the idea herself. I feel that would just be so her.

#ieri shoko #i know gege's writing of women still left a lot to be desired #there are a lot of elements about them that are left open to interpretation #but tbh i think i'd rather have that than instead of the guy trying and failing hard on writing women #it could be better but omfg it could have been so so much worse #yes i am aware of HER and it is because of HER that most of the female cast being left alone for crumb interpretations is better for me #can't believe HER and maki exist in the same story it's wild
