very quick idea while im up for school & answering asks that have been collecting dust since the summer / early this month (MY BAD), BUT
brahms padding up to his cg every like 5 minutes to "demand" hugs from them (the demanding is rlly just him tugging their shirt until they respond). he wants his hugs & he wants his kissies!! that's not too much to ask for!! it comes off as annoying sometimes when said cg is trying to COOK or DO LAUNDRY while brahms is looming over them, clutching their shirt like “[cg nickname]? hug please. hug hug hug. huuuug!” as his tugging gets increasingly more needy 💀💀

Someone mentioned in a comment that Michael got ‘downgraded’ to boyfriend, so my tinfoil (again, could be wrong/insane) is that AL & GT referring to each other as wifey is to downplay the previous MS ‘wife’ jokes, since people keep commenting about a poly thing going on, moreso than the past. Also since MS is in London rn, he’s with DT more, so I think there’s a bit of insecurity going on. a lot of (doomed) poly couples have an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ rule, or think the swinging being gay 'doesn't count/isn't a threat,' which could be why the posts feel forced. (parasocial, creepy, bad person, etc., whatever, I calls it as I sees it and have seen it before 🤷‍♀️ )

@cloud-based-and-rainpilled I had a similar thought about the insecurity. I think Georgia and AL trying so hard to give the appearance of everything being "fine" and everyone getting along only makes it feel more like things in reality are not exactly what's being presented on social media. I personally did not see "boyfriend" as a downgrade (because from my perspective, "other wife" reads as more jokey/unserious, but boyfriend is...softer, somehow), but I can see why some folks could interpret it as a downgrade when it's actually a readjusting of whatever the dynamic is between all of them.
Going back to the insecurity, I had also wondered how things would play out while Michael was in London for such a long time during the run of Nye, and it makes all the sense in the world that things would change with Michael and David being able to see each other in person frequently. And you make a salient point about the gay swinging being seen as less threatening (which I think is why it's been easy for Georgia and AL to start up with that, and why we have never seen even one reference to David/Anna or Michael/Georgia and swinging). It could be that shipping Michael and David was also seen as less threatening and easier to play along with a few years ago, when it was all still new and Michael and David hadn't gotten as close as they have now. So yes, I do think something has changed, and though we may never be privy to what specifically, we can still see its aftereffects and reverberations in a variety of ways.
(I also wish the antis/people making vitriolic posts in the tags would understand your final point, which is that some of us have seen these things before and are speaking from a place of experience--unlike their assertions (and I have actually seen someone say this) that we have never had any close friendships or relationships like these, and therefore know nothing.)
To your comment, @lepqueen, I also found myself raising an eyebrow at the song choice. You are correct that Sting has described the song as being creepy, and I found one quote from him in particular attesting to this:

With the announcement that the next (and possibly final) instalment of The Mandalorian will be a movie, I feel so many conflicting emotions. I love having an entire season of the show to look forward to. Those couple of months when a new season airs... the hype, the speculation from week to week. It's just so much fun. I feel like I should have treasured that process more while we still had it.
No matter where you were in the world, you could watch an episode at the same time as everyone else. A movie will feel quite different in that sense, you'll walk into the screen and walk out on the same day with a complete story.
But equally... there is much to be excited about. Imagine when the first teaser trailer drops, the actual trailer, seeing it play before other films, seeing posters around everywhere, the premieres... everything will be so much BIGGER!
Then the actual release day itself, the cosplays, the midnight screenings, experiencing Din and Grogu on the big screen. It's always something I've wished for, to see their story unfold like that... it's going to be an EVENT.
I guess it'll be different types of anticipation and hype. I just need to wrap my head around it. I was definitely not expecting news like this on a random Tuesday afternoon in January. I can't lie and say I'm not a little bit upset, but equally I am beginning to focus on all the good Mandalorian content that is to come.
Whatever happens, if this is indeed the end... Din and Grogu will be in my heart forever and, for me, their story will never truly end 🤍

He's staring at you. Ah, no. He's frowning, is he angry? He's also bandaged up, did something happen? "You.." Chung Myung starts, and you swear that you see a pout on his lips. Are you laying on the spare bed in the nearby infirmary? Why is he next to you, though? His fingers gently caress your palm, the harshness of his calloused hand making you shiver, his eyebrows furrowing as he observes your hand. "You shouldn't have done that, really. I would have been fine, you know? And now that you went ahead and blocked that attack… You're laying here instead of me, you're so stupidly dumb." He sighs, his eyes still staring at your hand. You didn't do much though, your injuries are nothing compared to his deep ones. Speaking of which, why isn't he in bed right now? Shouldn't he be resting? "Why would I let it hit you?" "..??? What sort of question is that?" "A genuine one." ... He squints at you, his expression doing that thing where it's as if you just told him you're going to throw yourself off a cliff because you couldn't find your favorite cup. [ You did that once. ] "Because I could've easily blocked it?" "In that position? Chung Myung, you were already injured enough. If that hit you then you could've basically said that death knocked on your door once; if you survived, that is." That, kept him quiet for the next few minutes. "You're the idiot," You chuckle, shaking your head. "Just as much as you hate it if I got hurt-" "I loathe it." He interrupts, still a bit frustrated. You simply look at him with a blank look before sighing. "Okay," You nod, "You loathe me getting hurt. We established that multiple times, right? So, you expect me to not be the same way? We both know how stubborn the other is when it comes to such topics, dumbass. Of course I'll feel the same way."

cw suicide mention & imagery
original play idea where people seem to live their normal lives but the audience gets the feeling that something’s wrong, there’s a tension and there are things that obviously go unsaid that hang in the air between the characters uncomfortably long enough until the last member of the audience has filled in the blanks in their own way.
there is a figure off to the side, a very young man in a suit, watching them, unmoving and silent, and as the scenes and progress, as characters leave and appear, as the setting changes, the young man is always there. no one interacts with him, but there are moments when they almost do. when the characters stop what they’re doing when they stand close to him, and appear to listen. but there’s nothing.
the sound of TV news reports, all playing over each other, create an uncanny and uncomfortable buzzing that never, never stops, and there are too many to really make out the words. they get more silent the closer they get to the young man in the suit, quieting down to nothing when they stand by him to listen — but the characters seem unaware of the change. so does the young man, statuesque though he is.
then there’s a little girl, covered in dirt, her hair askew, her cheeks rosy — the image of having spent the day outside, playing in the dirt, a smile on her face, her eyes big, as she skips towards the young man and asks, “can we go now? can we play?”
the young man cards his hands through her hair and says, “you go ahead, i’ll be right there.”
but still he stays there, seated.
everything continues as before, but the characters slowly undergo a complete change in character, in routine, in appearance. the old man who wore suits is not dressed in sweats and old, worn out, dirty shirts. the sweet, kindhearted young adult is now quiet and apathetic. the woman who, in the beginning, was talking her friend’s ear off and could barely stand still is unmoving now, staring out into nothingness.
the buzzing and bustling background noise is slowly, gradually getting louder as the characters become increasingly nonverbal and unmoving. the lights dim down.
then all at once, after a crescendo, the noise stops suddenly, the lights turn off completely, before, with warm, yellow light, a woman we’ve seen before — as she stares into nothingness — appears on the stage, slowly approaching the young man as if unsure of her body but undeniable in her grace.
they smile at each other for a moment.
m, whispering: you’re not supposed to be here, not yet
w, cradling his cheeks: i was always supposed to be here long, long before you
m: i know. i’m sorry, i—
w: i know. i forgive you. i’ve always forgiven you
m, after a while: but not yourself
the woman shakes her head.
w: a mother will never forgive herself for burying her child, and a father will forgive himself even less. (a beat) you have such a handsome face.
m: it’s not your fault
w: so beautiful, those eyes, i’ve missed you so much
m: listen to me, it’s not your fault!
w: and your hair! papa would be so glad to know that—
m: mother. mama. listen to me. it’s not your fault
w, tearful and whispering: you were supposed to be fine. you were always supposed to be fine. it was never supposed to be this bad, we were supposed to help, but—
m: i know. i tried, i really did. both times
in that moment, the little girl comes skipping on stage again, approaching them with her wagging ponytail.
g: what are you doing here, mama? will you play with me now? it’s been so long!
the woman gasps, her tears getting the better of her as she falls to her knees and pulls the girl to her chest, who readily returns the hug
w, sobbing, kissing her cheek: hi, baby. yes, i’ll play with you, of course i will. let’s go.
the young man helps his mother up, allowing her to pull him into a hug, and she whispers: “as much as i love her with all my heart, i’m so proud of the young man you’ve grown into. and now i have you both, just as i always did.”
the young man brushes a kiss to her cheek, then lets her go, watching as his mother disappears with the little girl.
m: i have to stay a while. i’ll follow you soon.
(woman and girl, hand in hand, exeunt)
the lights dim, and the buzzing returns, accompanied by the sound of dragging footsteps the audience cannot see, until everything’s back in total darkness. the noise stays. growing louder in increments, leaving the audience uncomfortable and unsure if this was it.
as they quiet down, we hear a man, sobbing uncontrollably, before eerie silence takes his place, too.
the curtain falls.

Growing way too fond of Peter “Parker” Yang, a man who is dead for the entirety of the show and has no speaking lines or flashback scenes to actually give him a personality. But who cares. He’s a nosy bitch who cares too much about strangers and if I think about him for too long I want to cry.
