Warnings: No warnings!:)
Synopsis: The Madrigals throw a party and Mirabel finds out that her Tío might like a certain someone there
Music playing, people chatting, dancing and enjoying the food. Another wonderful party by the Madrigals. It was always a great time to catch up with friends and have a break from work.
Mirabel loved these parties. She could see how close everyone in Encanto was with each other. Well, apart from her Tío Bruno. He always came to the parties, his sister Pepa practically drags him out of his tower, but he’s was always reluctant to talk. Usually sticking to his family and staying away from the spotlight.
She couldn’t blame him. He still wasn’t used to being around so many people and although the townspeople were friendly to him, some were still wary.
Mirabel watched her Uncle sit with her parents in the corner, making conversation. She smiled. At least he looked happy.
‘Hey prima. What’s the hot gossip today?’ Mirabel asked, turning to Dolores who was in front of her at the food tables. The older cousin didn’t look up. Instead she smiled and continued to fill her plate. Mirabel grinned. She knew it was something good.
‘Oh not much. Just…’ She looked over at Mirabel. ‘Have you noticed what’s up with our Tío Bruno?’ Mirabel frowned.
‘No, why?’
‘Hmm. Guess he’s hiding it better than I thought.’
‘What? What is it?’ Dolores looked around then leaned closer to Mirabel.
‘Bruno keeps staring at señorita Y/N.’ Mirabel looked back over to her uncle. He was listening to her Dad talk but every couple seconds, his eyes would dart over to the other side of the room. She hadn’t noticed that before.
Y/N was dancing with Isabela and Luisa. She spun herself as Isabela made flowers fall around her. Bruno smiled a little more at that. Mirabel’s eyes widened and whipped her head back around.
‘Oh my gosh.’
‘Uh huh.’ Dolores nodded. ‘I’ve been hearing his longing sighs since she arrived here. He’s almost gotten up to talk to her a couple times. Saying okay okay you can do this you can do this under his breath. But no luck so far.’ She shrugged.
‘We gotta help him!’
‘You come up with a plan, I’ll follow.’ Dolores smiled.
‘Okay I need you to get Y/N away from the dance floor. I’ll get Bruno.’
‘Hey can you two hurry up?’ Camilo said. ‘Some of us wanna eat.’
‘Camilo! I need your help. Come with me.’ Mirabel dragged him away from the table.
‘What? But I’m hungryyyyy.’ He whined.
‘You can eat later! This is about Bruno’s crush on señorita Y/N!’
‘His what now?’
‘Where’s Antonio? I have a plan.’
‘These arepas are amazing hermana.’ Bruno complimented. Julieta smiled.
‘Thank you Bruno. I can teach you how to make them if you want. They won’t heal you but they’ll taste just the same.’
‘I’d like that very much.’ Bruno went to take another arepa when a toucan flew down and stole it from him. ‘H-Huh? Hey! Where do you think you’re going?’
Bruno got up and followed the bird away from the party. It flew up the stairs to his tower, right into his room. Bruno followed it in to find Mirabel, Camilo and Antonio standing there waiting for him. The toucan landed on Antonio’s arm.
‘Thanks primo. You can go back to the party now.’ Mirabel said. The youngest cousin ran off back downstairs. Bruno was confused.
‘What are you guys doing here?’
‘I’ve seen you staring at Señorita Y/N.’ Bruno’s eyes widened. He saw the grins on his niece and nephew’s faces began to step back.
‘W-What? Mirabel I don’t know what you think you’ve seen but-‘
‘She’s single by the way.’
‘She is??’
‘Ah HA!’ Bruno sighed in defeat. ‘I knew it! I knew it!’
‘Yeah okay whatever I don’t know what you’re so excited about anyway. It’s not like anything’s going to happen.’ Mirabel smiled. Bruno stopped. ‘No. No you’re not going to say anything to her! A-As your uncle I am forbidding you from-‘
‘Oh I’m not going to say anything to her, but you will.’
‘B-But-‘
‘You will, or…’ Mirabel looked to Camilo. The shapeshifter transformed into Bruno. ‘you will.’
‘Why are you doing this?’
‘Because you like her! And I want to see my uncle happy! Now go!’ Mirabel shooed him out. Bruno sighed. There wasn’t any way of getting around this.
He returned to the party to find Y/N no longer on the dance floor. She was standing on the side talking to his other nieces. Dolores spotted him and smiled. Oh right. She definitely knows.
Bruno breathed in then out and walked towards them.
‘Oh Tío Bruno! Enjoying the party?’ Isabela asked with a smile. From her tone Bruno could tell she knew too. Dolores had probably told them both. This was so embarrassing.
‘Ah y-yeah it’s great Isa. How are you all?’
‘We’re good.’ Luisa answered. ‘We were just catching up with señorita Y/N.’
‘Good evening Bruno.’ Y/N greeted with a warm smile. He could’ve melted then and there.
‘H-Hi Y/N. Are you enjoying yourself?’ The nieces walked away, leaving the two alone to talk.
‘Oh yes! Your family always throws the best parties. How are you?’
‘Oh y’know the usual.’ Y/N chuckled. There was a brief moment of silence between the two. Bruno’s nerves were building. He looked over to see his nieces and nephews watching from the food table. Mirabel threw him a thumbs up.
‘Bruno, do you want to dance?’ Y/N held out her hand to him.
‘H-huh? Dance? With you? I-I don’t know Y/N I’m not that coordinated…’
‘Oh come on it’ll be fun! Let’s just hope we don’t fall!’
‘Knock knock knock knock knock. Knock on wood.’
‘Knock knock knock knock knock. Knock on wood.’
‘Ha jinx!’ Y/N laughed. Bruno couldn’t speak. He could barely stand up. He just let Y/N lead him to the middle of the dance floor.
‘Y/N. I don’t know how to dance.’ Bruno looked down at his feet, fidgeting. Everyone moving around him was so loud and vibrant. And there he was, standing in the middle like an idiot. Y/N grabbed his hands. He looked back up to see her beaming at him.
‘Neither do I!’
‘B-But I saw you dancing with Isa and Luisa-‘
‘Oh so you were watching me were you?’ Y/N teased, pulling him closer.
‘Oh uh no well I-‘ She laughed.
‘I’m just messing with you. You don’t need to know how to dance. Just have fun!’ She said, letting go of his hands and spinning around.
‘What are they saying to each other?’ Mirabel asked Dolores.
‘Well our Bruno is being his normal awkward self, but luckily señorita Y/N finds it endearing.’ Mirabel squealed.
‘Yes! I knew they would work well together!’ Mirabel and Bruno made eye contact for a second. Mirabel gave him another encouraging smile.
Bruno held out his hand. Y/N took it. She grabbed his other hand and placed it on her waist before placing hers on his shoulder.
Bruno looked down at their feet and copied Y/N’s steps. Soon enough the two were in rhythm with the music. Y/N giggled and lifted Bruno’s chin. He smiled.
Turns out he could dance after all.
As the party drew to a close and the town began to make their ways back to their own houses, the Madrigals cleaned up. Mirabel collected all of the empty plates and put them in one stack.
‘Psssst Mirabel.’ Luisa whispered. Mirabel looked to her left. ‘Look at Y/N and Bruno.’
It had been hours but the pair were still in the centre of the courtyard swaying back and forth. There was no music, no ambient lights. Just gentle movements and the sound of casual conversation. ‘I don’t have the heart to break them up, but we gotta go to bed at some point.’
‘I’ll do it.’ Mirabel said softly. ‘Hey sorry to break you two up but Antonio’s struggling to stay awake and we all gotta be up early tomorrow.’
‘Oh gosh I’m so sorry! I didn’t realise the time.’ Y/N said. ‘I was having too much fun.’ She smiled at Bruno.
‘Yeah. Me too.’
‘Well I better get home then. Thank you for hosting. I’ve had a wonderful time as always.’
‘But a bit better than usual right señorita Y/N?’ Camilo commented as he passed. Mirabel hit his arm and gave him a glare.
Y/N waved everyone goodbye and stopped at Bruno.
‘Thank you for dancing with me.’ Mirabel gave her Tío a nudge.
‘Ah! The pleasure was all mine.’
‘I’ll see you all soon.’ Y/N turned and began to walk away. Mirabel nudged him again.
‘What?’
‘Go! Say something else!’
‘U-Uh Y/N can I walk you home?’
‘Oh that’s alright. My house is only down the hill.’
‘Ah okay see you soon.’ Mirabel nudged him for a third time. ‘Okay okay I’m going!’
Bruno walked forward and grabbed Y/N’s hand. She turned around, slightly confused.
‘Bruno?’
‘I ah ummm…’ He looked to Mirabel who nodded. ‘Y/N. I had a very nice evening dancing with you. A-And if you are interested in spending time with me again then maybe we could… uh ah meet up and do something…’
Bruno’s words got quieter and quieter as he continued. He stared at the floor trying to find the words. He was shaking, his hands were sweaty. Then Y/N giggled. That’s when his heart really sank. He let go of Y/N’s hand. Why did he think for a second that someone as lovely as her would be interested in him?
‘Uh. Nevermind. It’s okay. I’ll just-‘
‘Oh Bruno.’ Y/N lifted his head up to look at her. ‘You really are charming.’
‘I-I’m what?’
‘There’s the market tomorrow. We could go there together?’
‘The market? Yes. Yes! Yes I-I would like that very much.’ Bruno finally stood up straight again. Y/N put a hand on his shoulder and pressed her lips on his cheek.
‘Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow then. Goodnight Bruno.’ And with that, she left. Leaving Bruno to watch her walk away. Mouth slightly open, unable to speak.
‘Great job Tío.’
‘Thanks Mirabel.’
‘Damn Bruno’s got game.’
‘Camilo shut up! You’re ruining the moment!’

Married In A Hurricane

Camilo Madrigal x Reader
All characters written in this story is 18+.

Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. Part 5(finale). Bonus.

Reader’s (POV)
The skies were absolutely horrid that evening. I sat on my desk glaring at the pouring rain, hand up to my cheek my elbow supporting my head. Tia Pepa was clearly in a horrible mood seeing as the clouds were roaring with thunder. Looks almost like the day she got married. Or so what she explained at least.
‘Married in a hurricane huh’ I thought right after a very deep sigh.
Off the distance I could (unfortunately) see the magical casita protecting the inhabitants living in it. The Madrigals. Now don’t get me wrong, I loved that family as if they were my own. Mirabel, being my closest friend, Dolores being my gossip buddy, and even Isabela and I had some pretty good times. I was even loved by Alma Madrigal, Abuela. The whole family held a place in my heart, but one just up right and stole it.
That boy was Camilo Madrigal.
~~~(The morning)~~~
Today was the day.
Today was the day that I was going to confess to Camilo. I was off to the casita having 3 things in my mind. To bring Tia Julieta cornmeal for her aprenas, talk to Mirabel and Dolores about how to confess to Camilo and then actually confess to the boy. Things appeared to be going well with him, he would call me names like “Mi Vida” or “My Princesa” and was recently overly affectionate with me. There was even a moment where we were slow dancing in the drizzling rain after Tia Pepas meltdown because Antonio was ‘growing up to soon’, it was the day after his 10th birthday. With a determined look, I shook off any nerves that crept up and added a pep to my step as I entered the beautiful and very much alive house.
“Good morning Tia Julieta!”I barged in the Madrigals kitchen holding a basket filled with little sacks of cornmeal. The sweet lady gave me a smile and wiped her floured up hands on her apron before giving me a quick side hug.
“Good morning (Y/n), you can just place that on the table. Thank you for bringing that over.”I smiled and nodded before placing the basket on the brown table.
“Of course!Is Mirabel awake ye-“
“Welcome to the family Madrigal! Adios!”
“Oh, I guess she’s awake now”I laughed. I bid Julieta goodbye and walked out of the kitchen to see Mirabel humming her usual song when she wanted to sing about her family.
“Good morning Mirabel!”Said girl gave me a quick hug followed by a good morning.
“Are you joining us for breakfast today?”I nodded in agreement. Whenever I had the time I would always join the Madrigals for meals. It was my favourite time of the day, when we were all together and everyone was sorta relaxed. We set out to go out into the backyard but was cut off when I heard a loud boisterous voice coming from the second floor.
“Mi vida!Goodmorning!”I immediately felt my face turn red as a tomato. Mirabel lifted an eyebrow with a slight smile. I turned around and slightly tilted my head up to see Camilo. Dressed in his usual rolled up long sleeve with his yellow ruana.
“Camilo, I told you not to call me that”I tried my best to stop my obvious blush but it still went through seeing that Camilo laughed and shifted as me but sporting the same blush that I had right now. My face was bright red and it was clear that I was flustered by what he said.
I opened my mouth to scold the curly haired boy but was once again cut off by Abuela calling everyone to breakfast. Camilo shifted back to himself his smile reaching ear to ear. I rolled my eyes at him trying to appear annoyed, when in reality it was to keep my blush from getting worse.
“Thats perfect Luisa”Luisa set the table down while casita brought out the chairs from the dining room. Everyone said their good-mornings and sat down in their usual spots. I had my own spot at the table in between Camilo and Mirabel.
Tia Pepa took her seat last and it looked like she was sporting a grey cloud right above her. It was creeping over Tio Felix who tried calming his wife down by rubbing her back. I glanced at Dolores trying to see if she had any answer but she avoided looking at me at all costs. Weird but okay. I glanced at Camilo who looked concerned about his mama but stayed in his seat.
“What’s happening to Tia Pepa, what’s got her in such a bad mood this morning”I tugged at Camilo’s sleeve, he turned to me and gave me a heart warming smile and told me not to worry about it too much. I swear my heart skipped a beat. This boy was a huge jokester, but genuinely has a heart of gold. Makes it even harder not to keep falling for him.
“Before we start eating, I wanted to say something importantAbuela states. We all stopped our side conversations and looked at the head of the table where she sat. Pepa’s clouds darkened.
“The Santos and Madrigals will be joining together, it will be good for the Encanto”That means someone is going to get married off like what was going to happen to Isabela. I wonder who it will be this time. Will it be Luisa?Isabela again?Or Mir-
“Camilo you are to propose to Maria tomorrow at dinner”
Oh.
If you're still taking request, can I ask about a Madrigal family yandere when another family tries to kidnap Y/N? alternative part where Y / N if she was kidnapped and the madrigal find her when she is already a teenager 13/15
Kidnapped Reader, Alternative Yandere Madrigals:
Hope this is what ya wanted, sorry if it isn't that good-
Finished it after work and I'm tired- but Enjoy
Tw: Murder
You didn't expect to be taken away the day you were finally allowed to go outside by yourself.  You didn't know the people who took you but they kept telling you that they were helping you. Help from what? You didn't know.
You were about to cry out to Dolores, but they quickly silenced you as they took you from Encanto.
Dolores was too late to realize she couldn't hear you anymore.
So, you spent 5 years with the strangers who kidnapped you. You had learned what they meant when they were helping you, as you tried to get to what should be a healthy family dynamic. You had to say, you liked it much more then with the Madrigals. Sure, younger you loved them dearly, but they were manipulative and too overwhelming.
The family who kidnapped you was made out of a tall man named Shade with his wife Alice and their daughter L.
And with the 5 years you spent with them, you loved them like your actual family.
But that all came to an end once the Madrigals had found you again.
You were running around town, chasing down a kid named Dan. He stole your stick you found, and it was an amazing stick, so you really needed to get it back. You wanted to give it to Shade as a little gift.
Or that was until you ran into someone which was weird. Normally people didn't come near the woods unless for woods, maybe it was Artemis. She hated people and mostly lived around the woods.
"I'm sorry-"
"[Y/n]?"
That voice caused you to freeze in your place. It couldn't be. Alma would never let them leave Encanto. Would she?
You slowly look up as they say your name again. You visibly pale as you're face to face with Mirabel Madrigal. She looked beyond happy as she stared you down, you wore if she had a tail, it would be wagging.
"..Mirabel…" You muttered, taking a step back as she took one forward, obviously wanting to take you back to the Madrigals.
It wasn't even a few seconds later until all of the Madrigals showed up, causing you to start shaking in your place. They all had looks of worry and happiness on their faces besides Dolores, who just looked betrayed by you. Did she know you chose to stay here? If so, how long was she spying on you?
Alma stepped forward, a supposed to be comforting and warm smile that used to work on you but knowing the true meaning just sent shivers down your spine. "[Y/n], you're safe." She started, only coming closer but pausing seeing you back away. "How did you escape? Why are you still here?"
"I-I, um..." You didn't know how to word it, but Dolores did as she suddenly spoke up.
"Because they choose them over us." She spat out, sending you a quick glare. "They brainwashed them."
You sent one back, "They did not!" You shouted at her causing her to flinch in surprise. You faltered, "I-I'm just...happier here..." You whispered.
Julieta looked at you with disappointment in her eyes. "So, they did brainwash you."
"I-"
Camilo Interrupted you, an unusual frown on his face. "So, you wanna leave us after all we've done for you?" He asked, and kept going, not waiting for your answer. "Don't you remember we're the only ones who care about you?" Alma sent a harsh glare at him after that.
"Camilo."
"What? It's true."
You clenched your fists as you started to build up a bit of courage. "Shut up...!" You blurted out, causing them to look at you in surprise. This was the first time you've ever told anyone of them to shut up. Their gazes make you shrink back in fear and before you knew it you were shouting for Shade or Alice or anyone to come and help you.
Not even a second after that, a vine wrapped around your mouth, silencing you.
Isabela crossed her arms and took a few short steps over to you as you wiggled in the vines. She gave you a scowl, her eyes staring down into your soul. "Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way." She stated, "I think you'll like the easy way more."
Before you could make any sort of agreement, or disagreement, your savior had finally shown up. But you wished he didn’t.
Shade quickly cut down the vine and pushed you behind him. “What do you think you’re doing with my child?” He asked, tightening his grip on his sword as he sent a glare at them. But that didn’t faze them, what did was him calling you, his child.
Thunder clouds formed over Pepa’s head as it slowly started to drizzle. “Your child? Yours?” She repeated as the clouds grew larger, and that was never a good sign. Felix didn’t even tempte to calm down his wife, he was just as upset as her. But surprisingly Alma did, once she sent a quick strange look towards Isabela.
“Pepa, you have a cloud.” She stated calmly. Pepa let out a frustrated groan as she started to stroke her hair, mumbling “Clear skies, Clear skies.” After that, Felix rubbed circles on her back.
“Isabela, let [Y/n] go please.”
Isabela nodded as the vines around you dropped you to the ground gently. You looked over at them confused but Shade didn’t falter. He kept his gaze steady on Alma as she sent another look towards her before a vine went straight through Shade’s heart. Blood started to leak out of his mouth as he dropped his sword to the ground.
You were fucking speechless as Shade’s body dropped to the floor. You couldn’t look away even as a warm hand landed on your shoulder. It was Julieta’s as she kneeled down to your height, holding something she probably made. She didn’t say anything as she forcefully fed it to you, and it didn’t even take long for the effects to kick in.
The last thing you saw was Shade’s dead body before the world turned dark.
Kinda Anti-climaxed but I can’t write fight scenes and I didn’t know how to add the others kinda gory scenes
im back with my daily creativity/story ideas for anyone >:)
anyway imagine..
your and camilos relationship is like how abuela and Pedros fell in love, like at a festival on the poles waving at each other, sitting at the fountain and falling in love with each other. Abuela worried for her grandson having his heart-broken like she had when she was younger, she forbids him from seeing her. Both are heartbroken, both dearly miss their love. Now this can go two different ways.
one - They see eachother in secret for years until Camilo brings them home for dinner one night, And tells his family that he’s secretly been dating y/n for years after their “breakup”. Abuela is obviously upset because camilo didn’t listen to her but also is reminded of her Pedro, she is reminded of the love she saw in pedros eyes everyday when he was alive. Now she sees that same look whenever her grandson looks at his partner. She eventually accepts and welcomes you will open arms.
two (the angst route) - You and camilo have officially “broken up”. Both of you are heartbroken, both missing each other. The family tries to cheer him up whenever they could but he just wasn’t the same. He would play pranks, but not as much as he did before. He wouldn’t try to steal seconds from the kitchen anymore. All the things he did before reminded him of you, you both played pranks of people and stole food from the kitchen always together. Eventually years past and both of you are still single and missing eachother. Most of the times you would catch him looking at you with a sad look on his face, even after all these years the lovers still yearn and grasp for their old love.
also imagine during this whole scene “Dos Oruguitas” is playing in the background
-🦢
Is it bad that I like the second part more, 'cause I'm craving some angst 😭
HE'S SAD, NOW I'M SAD BUT I'M FEELING A HUMAN EMOTION WHICH MAKES ME FEEL NORMAL AND I LOVE IT
Abuela's audacity to forbid him from seeing reader so she can't hurt his feeling. When she's the one who pressured the whole family-
I LOVE THIS VERY MUCH
Married In A Hurricane (Part 3)
Tumblr media
Camilo Madrigal x Reader
All characters written in this story is 18+.
Camilo’s part in WDTAB, pure fucking gold.
Oh disclaimer, my stories have swears in them. Should have mentioned that earlier on, my bad.
Also, this fanfic may be longer than I anticipated, oh wells lets just see where it goes.
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. Part 5(finale). Bonus.
xxxx
(Reader’s POV)
I shifted uncomfortably on my chair. I could feel Maria’s eyes staring right into my soul. Why? Maybe cause she had seen me and her soon to be fiancé in a romantic like embrace. Of course we tried explaining it to her but I guess her pea sized brain couldn’t understand the concept of an accident and began making a huge fuss about it before dinner.
It took Abuela and her mami, Tia Liana combined to stop her tantrum from wrecking the whole occasion. I profusely apologized to Abuela who told me it was okay followed by a kiss on the cheek, she has definitely calmed down compared to how she was a few years ago.
“(Y/n). The cream.”Maria practically spat out almost spitting on her food. I grimaced at the thought but proceeded to pass her the cream. Everyone knew what had happened, and they all sympathized with me. Maria may be beautiful, but she also had a very short temper, and was quite snarky. However with her being the only daughter and the Santos being a prominent family here in the Encanto, it makes sense why she would be wed to Camilo. Didn’t mean it didn’t suck any less though.
“The Santos and the Madrigals will be so good for the Encanto”Abuela smiles at both Maria and Tia Liana. Tia Liana smiles in response.
“Camilo would be so good for my Maria”Camilo perks up at the sound of his name, meanwhile I slump down picking at the half eaten empanada on my plate.
“Oh uh yea”He quickly says before gulping down a glass full of water. I didn’t notice him sneaking a glance at me. I gave out a very quiet sigh Dolores being the only one who could hear it. I needed a breather, a second. I excused myself from the table and made my way to the side of the house.
~~(Outside)~~
I leaned on casita arms crossed over looking into the mountains. The fields looked endless, the possibilities out there would be endless. No Madrigals, no Camilo, no nothing.
“I could just leave”
“Please don’t”I flinched at the sudden voice that appeared out of no where. There stood the boy who stole my heart. His usual goofy and teasing demeanour no where to be found.
“Milo you scared me”He gave me a sheepish smile while rubbing the back of his neck.
“Sorry about earlier by the way. Casita just pushed me into the door”Thinking about it, casita must have known that Camilo was on the other side. That damn house did that on purpose.
“No problem mi vida, I’m just glad that you didn’t end up slamming your face on the floor”He softly laughed. I smiled back, these were the moments that made me fall for the chameleon boy.
“Why did you say you could just leave?”He gave me a side eyed glance. I looked over to where the mountain was at its highest peak. I wonder how the Encanto would look from that angle, probably breath taking.
“Something new, now that your going to be engaged to Maria, who am I supposed to argue with now?”I laughed but didn’t get the same response back. Instead he just looked at me. I gulped. At that moment it seemed like everything had froze. That time was giving me a brief second to decide. Should I tell him, or not?
I have to.
I could feel my heart beating faster.
“Camilo. I have to tell you something”He still bored his eyes at me, but nodded after detecting the seriousness of my voice.
Beat.
“Yes mi vida?”Am I making the right decision? Yes. Keep going.
Beat.
“I like you. No…I love you Camilo”I said it. I had finally said the words that I kept to myself, to Dolores, to Mirabel, and I finally said it to him. The boy who stole my heart.
Beat.
“I-I don’t know what to say”Thats not a good sign.
Beat.
“Oh u-uh, you don’t have to say anything! I just thought you should know”I saw him reach for my hand, a gesture that he would do almost everyday together.
Beat.
“but…I’m sorry (Y/n), but I can’t return your feelings”
Then it stops. He had called me by my first name.
