Byler × Korrasami parallels and lettergate!!!

I was thinking about the Byler × Korrasami parallels because of this tweet

If the Duffers like the ship, they could get inspiration from them again, since they did it before (I'm showing in this post), using another parallels.

And if the lettergate is real, which I believe to be, this could be a great one

First we have Korra saying "I've never had anyone in my life who got me the way you do."

I think this is already a good parallel, since we know that Mike and Will understand each other like no one else, because we have the "don't tell the others, they won't understand", the "Crazy together", the "I didn't say it" and "You didn't have to".

And we believe Mike has a letter that he hasn't shown Will yet and he could give him the letter and maybe confess his feelings? Just like Asami did.

I can see clearly Mike saying something like what Asami said "You'd already been away for so long... I guess I was scared if you didn't feel the same way, then maybe you'd never come back"

And i think this one is INSANE

We've seen this before

HERE

"There are always going to be problems to deal with" = "I don't know what's gonna happen next".

"As long as we stick together" = "I think we should work together"

"We'll be able to overcome anything" is not exactly "I think it'll be easier" but I guess the meaning could be something similar, like they're basically saying that if they are together, they'll try their best to go through anything

I believe in lettergate but idk how they could handle it. I just thought that this could be an interesting parallel, since it happened more than once

If (when) Byler happens it will have Korrasami ramifications. It will really mean something to the people who have been watching for it, and for YEARS we'll be pointing back to Byler as the "they walked so x could run" when we get more queer rep (especially non-sexualized mlm rep) in spooky/fantasy/scifi live action spaces. Just watch. Korrasami 2.0 I'm calling it now

I know a queer ship is real when my homophobic mom walks into the room, see one of their moments on screen and says “eww why are you watching this gay movie?”

This woman’s gaydar is something else. I wish she wasn’t homophobic so we could freak out over the cute moments together instead of me trying to explain “no mom, they’re not together where did you even get that idea from? they’re just great friends”
