oh what they did is honestly so sick…no wonder they waited till july 1st to release volume 2 like they knew that releasing that dumpster fire of sidelining queer characters, only putting them in the story to further or help the straight characters and relationships, and not allowing them to get any happy ending leaving them with sad, painful, unrequited feelings that will never become real was not gonna be ok to release during pride month lmao. little do they know that gay people actually exist during other months and are pissed off that their only 2 queer characters got this mistreatment and got sidelined and got unnecessary pain that could have completely been avoided. this is literally terrible and i will never forgive the stranger things writers for this no matter what happens in season 5, the trauma porn that they are forcing queer people to experience in and out of the show is not ok.

The way you could easily see this scene and think nothing of it unless you take a moment to look. The subtly is insane.

The clearest thing is how Mike moves away when Will leans in, and I know you could call this a reach BUT I disagree given the quick glance he shoots Will's way. This glance is done as soon as he feels Will's presence shift more towards himself, pulling away from it, and if I were to use fic type poetry, I would describe his expression as:

"he inhaled sharply, leaving him a little breathless"

And the best part is compared to Mike's reaction, Will's is so much harder to see, Noah really came out with the pining subtlety.

It took a while to realize Will also glances at Mike when he's leaning forward, his eyes barely move and it's easy to miss, but it's there. His expression doesn't even change, solidifying to me that Mike is so much more obvious in how their interactions make him feel. I also noticed Will moves his arm to hug around himself as soon as Mike starts to shift away, what could that mean? I don't know

I found it really hilarious how mlvns on Twitter were against Noah winning and decided to pretend like they care about the rest of the cast getting recognition. "I have nothing against Noah but he's overshadowing everyone else" like you don't care unless it's Noah winning because they obviously didn't mind it before when Will was always cut out of the party dynamic and they thought of him as a plot device for everyone else's character arcs. Be serious for a second.
