20dollarlolita’s February $20 challenge:
Metamorphose OTK’s, $16 // BTSSB socks (these were $42 for all three so technically $14 each and that qualifies IMO)
Angelic Pretty letter set, $17 // GLB no. 1, $20
I wasn’t really trying to find/make anything for this challenge so it’s not a lot but I figured I’d share ^^
I have bought a skirt and blouse before for $20 (my cheapest dress was $35), and tons of legwear/hair accessories for $20 and under so I don’t think it’s an impossible challenge for bigger pieces but an unlikely/difficult one. Still fun to see though! I think this should become a bigger thing

Because I am the biggest nerd in the world, proof that Paul definitely did keep the Sweet Revenge jacket. I was about 98% sure before but now it’s clear. With the green trim and buttons it has a look of the Eighth Doctor about it so maybe that’s why he wore it to the Zagreus signing?

trying to figure out the pattern for this coat i want to make. im thinking very simple loose unstructured rectangular shapes + whatever i can salvage for the sleeves so i can avoid bias and curved seams as much as possible. but also i have no idea how the fuck to make a collar
#since it's a tarot card (the devil) im thinking the two lovers in the front (possibly buttons) and the devil on the back#and of course there's the actual text ''the devil.'' on the card and im thinking of using it as a hem trim on the bottom#i don't know if i want to do binding (TEDIOUS task without a sewing machine) but i will have to see what the fabric's like#OOH i could do french seams. that would be swell i love french seams.#anyone have any patterns for collar making? im trying to study my favourite jacket's construction but to no avail

I think the secret to making your OC look like a genshin character is adding unnecessary metal (gold, most often) on their clothes. I can only think of a few characters who don't have anything metal on their person

The spirit of god possessed me and now I have pieces for an entire Overhaul-era Tomura cosplay (save for his shirt, pants, and Father/hands) headed my way
#i found a fucking perfect dupe for his black coat on ASOS I just need to add silver buttons and buckles and maybe half the width of the belt#And it's a proper coat not that cheap polyester crap so TBH if I'm careful with my needle I could wear it for real this winter#I randomly found the shoes on ebay and I think they're close enough to my size but I can always stuff the toes bc they were $25#the wig is from epic cosplay and i just have to trim a couple of inches off and fix the bangs#the eyes are from pinky paradise#the makeup will of course be by my own skilled hand#ideally I want all 14 hands but that's so fucking expensive so I might just get Father and call it a day#and the shirt and pants are so generic I could buy them wherever#shigaraki cosplay
