Very specific specialty bulk goods#Like apple butter syrup and pickled watermelon rind and rice/grain/bean bags and candies#They also carry my favorite cheese so the trip it worth it even if it's a little far#So when I go (rarely) I load up like I'm stockpiling for the winter months

fun fact i learned today: i love cooking but i Hate baking. i HATE IT!!!
#omtai post#making some stupid fucking cookies and they’re gonna fail i just know it#everytime i make cookies they suck#it’s bc there’s no room for improv in baking#i didn’t have butter so i used margarine which was a mistake bc the mix was too runny#so i had to dump a shitload of flour in it to give it consistency#they’re baking rn but i feel like they’re gonna be shit on a stick and i’ll have just wasted a shit load of ingredients#i love cooking bc you can just throw whatever in. fuck measurements just eyeball it. and it always turns out good#but if you use 1mg too much flour or you use brown sugar instead of white#your cookies will turn out SHIT!

hey. hey. hey. hey. hey so in ff16 they give you a flash step that goes forward but when you're a big monster (happens for setpiece boss fights only) they give you a roller skating move that goes sideways instead. but then there's a fight where they give your monster form a forwards flash step too.
and IN THAT SAME BOSS FIGHT, you need to do it Twice in a row to close the distance between "outside the big AOE attack" and "guy you need to punch after he does the AOE" & this sums up basically everything you need to know about how AGGRESSIVELY MEDIOCRE the combat really is in this game.
anybody who tells you it's good is either lying or is remembering 1 of like 2 and a half really nicely-tuned fights, one of which was optional. and the health bars were still too fucking stubborn in all of them.
#this is not a Dark Soul Get Good situation it's a 'okay. okay. okay I get it. okay. OKAY' type of thing#clive can't decide whether to have fun Big Steppy mobility or to be a grounded sword fighterman who has to aim carefully.#every Important Fight lasts 20 goddamn minutes and has MAYBE 10 minutes of material in it.#you can only equip 2x3 elemental attacks at once (WHY!!!) and if you want to mix and match more than 3 elements#you have to spend an INORDINATE NUMBER of skill points to do that.#rando 'ten soldiers' type enemies melt like butter under your fire AOE to the point that they implemented waves#to stop you from trivializing EVERY fight out in the field. yet somehow EVERY BOSS can take like 30 of those and still not DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!#and if YOU die because you got SO BORED that you STOPPED CARING ENOUGH to NOT DIE#there's no way to restart WITHOUT BONUS HEALS except to quit out to the main menu and load your save.#DESIGN BY COMMITTEE. saw a video of a guy making butter chicken and so many people are just like, "oh i wouldn't be able to handle all that spice but it looks great!" dude, butter chicken is on the bland side of the scale, the cashews and cream make it almost sweet. it is what we make people with zero spice tolerance eat. you'll be fine. just eat more naan and less gravy.
