I don't know if it's temporal or geographic or I just never noticed as a kid, but obituaries out here often include people's best friends in a non euphemistic sense and I just think it's really nice
#one today even had the 'best buddy ' in the list of predeceased by which I've never seen#a surviving friend that's even more understandable it's a tip of the hat to their feelings#but predeceased that's just genuinely correct attitudes toward important relationships period
