One Year of BiggSodorCityStories!
Tumblr media
So, one year ago today, I created this blog.
A year ago, I didn't really think very much would come of it. I'd been very upset with Deviantart's tone-deaf decision to try and force its entire userbase to "embrace" AI imagery and make their entire galleries ripe for the stealing, and created this blog to act as an image repository in case DA's stupid decision caused them to implode.
Honestly, I thought that I would lose interest and leave this blog to gather dust in a few months at most.
However, one year later, and this little blog has amassed over 100 followers (would have possibly been 200 or more if it wasn't for the pr0nbots, but they don't count) and my interest is still very high.
I have met some lovely people in the last year and gotten the chance to engage with them and other talented artists and storytellers, none of which would have happened if I hadn't bitten the bullet and joined this site.
I would like to take this chance to thank you all for your kind support over the last year, be that through likes, reblogs, asks or private messages (no matter how cheerfully I may or may not have received them at the time). Every single interaction has meant a great deal and been very welcome. I hope to see you all again over the next year of this little cracky blog.

For ppl who are trying their best to block bot accounts that follow them, just fyi that if the blank account says "İsimsiz" in the bio, that is Turkish for anon. Not something to do with Sims. Those are blank accounts.
Also, some of the pr0nbots have the word "sim" in their handle, usually accompanied by other words that make no sense. It has nothing to do with Sims, they are bot accounts.
When this all started we were informed that these accounts follow you/like your posts or whatever, but they sit there waiting for you to deactivate, or for your account to be unrightfully terminated, then they snatch up your url in order to hijack your organically created traffic. Sometimes it's really hard to tell a personal account from a bot so I just wanted to pass this along.

Has anyone else noticed that the more pr0nbots you report and block, the more incoherent their successor’s names and bios get?
I swear, I feel like I’m training them in a way, with each dispassionate click of the report and block buttons. These days it’s almost like they’re trying to tailor themselves to fit my tastes.
Every morning when I wake up and check the app, it’s always the same. 5 likes, a mutual has reblogged my most recent post, 3 new followers.
But I swear back when it started, it used to be different.
See it used to be more like…
Tika-tap, click. Click.
mary334. Stolen instagram profile picture. Reported, blocked.
anna743. Stolen instagram profile picture. Reported, blocked.
christina693. Stolen lingerie picture. Reported, blocked.
Sigh.
I get up and make breakfast sometime last week, I do the dishes, I return to see I have 4 new dms from a friend, one ask, and two more follows.
kayleigh-2427. Similarly stolen profile images, but now with a custom colour theme. Reported, blocked.
jennibelle-864. Stolen profile pictures, but this one has learned to copypaste the name of a generic sport, a random country’s flag, an age between 18 and 24, and some cutesy emoji into the bio.
If only I knew back then how much more comforting it would have been to just keep those ones around. To not encourage the creativity of a ceaseless brain of computer chips and electricity.
You have 5 new followers.
amamia-7789. Brazil. 22. i rate 🍆 pics. Hockey.
Blocked. Reported.
keylinan-235. England. 21. Weight-lifting. I’ll suck you dry.
Blocked. Reported.
rubicon-674. USA. 28. Don’t be sccared. Geigercounter-Aerobics. 💞
Blocked. Reported.
hushmaaling-226. Antarctica. 54. I like bad boys. Soccer with Her.
Blocked. Reported.
chrysali-469. Bermuda. 432. I’ll eat you raw. Night-Swimming. 💔
Blocked. Reported.
Really, I’m starting to tire of it. I think they’re running out of options on their little RNG table now, because I’m seeing them start to break pattern. More obscure sporting references. Emoji I’ve never even seen before.
You have one message in your inbox.
You wanted me to send JUICY pics, didn’t you sweetie? Click this link to see more-
Deleted.
Deleted.
Blocked. Reported.
Clicka click.
Eventually. They stop for a while. I think I’ve beaten it. They’ve run out of all the combinations they could possibly use. Surely? With all of us working together blocking and mass reporting them?
spiderman-yoyo69420 has started to follow you.
Oh thank god somebody normal.
spiderman-yoyo69420 sent you an ask.
You wanted me to send JUICY pics, didn’t you sweetie? Click this link to see more-
Why did I train them to get better?

Y'know I'm actually genuinely happy whenever an actual human being follows me and interacts with my art and not some bot that just wants to use me for some dubious website metrics, which I then have to report for spam. Someone who actually genuinely likes my art and interacts with it in an organic way. Someone who respects it. Bc the pr0nbot waves as well as AI generated images have made the world rather bleak for artists, so it really means a lot to me (and other artists) when actual human beings interact with our art genuinely and meaningfully, even if it's just a single reblog. The fact you reblogged my art tells me you like it enough to display on your blog. Reblogs take more effort than simply hitting a like, even though reblogging is often as easy as simply dragging the reblog button to a blog pfp. And no, I don't mind if you go through my blog and reblog everything, I put stuff out for a reason.
Thank you so much for the support, and please keep showing your love not just to me but other artists as well.

Pr0nBot Hoes - Gotta Block 'Em All!
Joke Art - Serious Vent underneath. Please read.
Tumblr media
🎵(Pr0nBot Hoes, gotta block em aaaaall)
We're sick of yooou!
We know that you're all fake tooo!
Follow me, I'll just block you:
Pr0nBot Hoes!🎵
Silliness aside, this infestation (and I can't think of a better term) of bot accounts headed by a photo of an artificially enhanced woman and a reference to OnlyFans is starting to take the mickey.
I joined Tumblr in November to create an alternative/backup home for my art after Deviantart's pandering to unregulated AI "art" gave me concerns as to its future. I have honestly enjoyed my time here so far. I have connected with current friends, made a surprising number of new ones, and I have come across some phenomenal TTTE and TUGS fans.
But, when December came, I started getting one or two new follower notifications every day. Like I have seen others say, new followers should be - and usually are - a cause of excitement and prompt you to go to your account to look at what kind of follower you've netted. To find an obvious bot account, and a pr0nbot at that, is extremely disheartening. To get private messages from other bot accounts trying to invite me to join clearly adult dating sites (for the record, I'm in my 30s and by no means innocent, but the account will not have bothered to find this out before inviting me to connect with BBWs) is annoying. To get multiple incidents of both types of bot account EVERY. SINGLE. DAY?! To be frank, that's cause for concern as to the future of this site.
Tumblr: With so many people becoming disheartened by Deviantart and Twitter, you have a potentially unique opportunity to put your best foot forward. You could present yourself as the ideal alternative to these juggernaut websites that are letting their users down, as a true community to share their content, a new, forever home...
But how is that going to happen when you're riddled with parasitic pr0nbot accounts that harrass your userbase daily, while you seem to sit back and do nothing about them?

You know the feeling when you see you've gained new followers and you think "neat!" and then you see that they're all pr0nbots with names like Isabelle-cucumber374728 or makynlee-shotgun928273 and have a pfp with their tits out.
