I could just give my brother in law a check for Christmas
Or I could be fun

Season 1, Episode 14: The Tower of Terry
Favorite quote/moment: When the party obviates all of the pressure plates with books. That's some clever stuff.
General thoughts: This has one of my favorite parody intros. Gets stuck in my head all the time.
Lots of puzzles in this one. Very DND. Almost doesn't feel like the same podcast. It's weird how much the nitty gritty game play of puzzles changes the vibe. But, they still obviate some of them, which is fun.
The moment with Terry Jr at the end is beautiful. And gives us a real solid understanding that Willy was an asshole. All of the kids disappearing is sad, but this one hits different. Maybe because it's after this moment of breakthrough? I can't quite put my finger on it.
One of my favorite characters is coming next episode...

Just got my blue checkmarks because my writing persona is an attention whore and also because the concept of them being sold in pairs is even more funny than them being sold to absolutely everyone.
I don’t feel accomplished at all but I’m laughing since ten minutes and i will so every time I see them next to my blogs name

Now listen, I can’t give you a 100% strategy to win Monopoly
What I can give you is about a 90% chance that people will never ask you to play again
How do you do this?
Well
It’s actually super simple
1) Count the ones ($1)
2) The second you have enough capital, convert all your currency to take ALL the ones ($1)s in the bank
3) The SECOND any one else pays a dollar bill ($1) into the bank, snatch that too
Why do you do this?
Because when you have all the ones, you decide who gets exact change and who has to round up on every transaction for the rest of the game
No one thinks this is a big deal at first
But then you want to buy something
And I have all the ones
None of this is against the rules but what it IS is 9000% more entertaining than however the rules think you win
The IMMEDIATE culture of bribery and backstabbing is exactly what capitalism has always been about

I need non autistic people to realise meltdowns are a real debilitating thing that has a serious effect on your mental and physical health NOWWWWW!!! The way its been trivialized and lessened pisses me the fuck off. It's not a tantrum and it doesn't come from "being too weak-willed" it's painful and it's embarrassing AND MOST OF ALL IT'S INVOLUNTARY!! Don't claim to be an ally to autistic or disabled people and then make fun of people who have meltdowns. Literally get the hell out of my sight

People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.
For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.
The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.
So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.
