Why do you think Dick gets so much more sexualized than other characters?
DC forgets that over-sexualizing men is just as bad as over-sexualizing women.

Everyone love autism until the person needs someone to remind them or help do things like bathe, change clothes, and use the bathroom.
Everyone love autism until they need to be told what to do in social interactions and still can’t do it correctly.
Everyone love autism until they can’t communicate in the way you deem appropriate. Until they need other ways to communicate because they can’t verbally do it. They love autism until they can’t communicate even if they have aac. until they have NO (no) ways to communicate because they don’t understand they can.
Everyone loves autism until they can’t sit down and stop moving. Until they grunt or moan or make random sounds. Love until moves around and not even realize that their moving.
Everyone loves the idea of autism until it’s not level one low support needs. And not fair that high support needs, medium support needs, level 3, level 2 autistics get so much hate for things can’t help. They should still be loved!

Part SEVEN of "Clone Danny"
Red Robin, Danny recognizes, steps away from him as he sits up. "My name is Phantom," he signs, blinking the exhaustion out of his eyes. (From Red Robin's perspective, it looks like he has no eyes. There lacks his signature green glow.) "I'm not a gang member, just an out-of-town vigilante."
Red Robin frowns at him, an uncertain grip on the bō in his other hand. "Phantom?" He repeats, no lacking amount of suspicion in his voice. "How can I believe that?"
Right. Yeah, okay, that's fair. Danny shrugs at him, and slumps against the wall. "Google search?" He gestures, he's been out in the daytime before and he's seen the news articles about him.
Red's eyes narrow at him and Danny simply draws his knees up and faceplants into them, half-listening to Red's murmurs into his comm while also trying to get some extra-shut eye.
("Oracle, can you pull up anything on a vigilante named Phantom? The guy here is claiming to be one." Tim says.
"On it."
"Is this Phantom wearing a white mask?" Bruce asks, his voice gruff like an aftershock. "There's a vigilante who shares the same name, but he resides in Illinois."
"Is this guy from that Amity city you visited ages ago?" Says Tim, before shaking his head. "Don't answer that. Yes, he's wearing some freaky mask. I said it reminded me of Hood's helmet for a reason."
"I've got something," Oracle interrupts, "Bats' right. as usual. The Phantom of Amity Park, not much stuff of this guy but he's only been out for over a year. Apparently, his rogues' gallery consists of ghosts."
"Oh great.")
"Look tell the Batman that I'm sorry for trespassing on his turf," He signs irritably when Red Robin eventually starts talking to (re: interrogating) him again. "It's not like I want to be here."
"How did you get in Gotham anyways?" Red Robin questions, batman was on his way to help deal with the situation but Tim doubted he wouldn't get caught up on the way with dealing with petty crime. "Your turf is nearly a thousand miles away from here."
"Two words." Danny deadpans, "Teleport ghost." (Red Robin winces sympathetically.) "I'm keeping this bastard in the thermos for a month for this alone."
(Danny was ignoring the slow-choking anxiety growing in his lungs over how he was gonna get home. He never takes his phone when he goes out, the risk of breaking it was too high. He had no way of contacting anyone to get him home.)
(He swallows the growing lump in his throat, and buries the feeling in the back of his mind.)
"Thermos?"
Danny unclips his Fenton Phantom Thermos off from his belt loop and shows it to Red Robin. "My ghost-catching device," He says with one hand, tilting it carefully for Red to inspect. "I wish I could say I made it, but its a FentonWorks invention."
(He wasn't sure if it was a smart idea to say who it belonged to, but saying it wasn't his probably loosened up any tracks on him, right?)
"Do you work with these Fentons, then?" Red asks, and something dark and shadowy flickers from the corner of Danny's eye. He glances over, and sees nothing, and his hackles raise.
(Either that was Batman, or a ghost, or Danny's mind playing tricks on him. He couldn't feel his ghost sense building in his throat, so he decided it was either the latter of the former.)
Danny snorts, quiet and gruff. "No." He clips his thermos to his belt again, stifling a smile on his face. "The Fentons hate me actually, I prevent them from catching ghosts themselves. Their son gives me their tech."
He had a cover story, so he might as well stick with it, right?
Batman shows up at that moment, appearing atop the little roof where the door is, and giving Danny a heart attack when he speaks in his low, rumbly voice like thunder rolling in, "Why would they hate you for that?"
Danny shoots up to his feet with a startled yell in his throat, clutching his chest as he whirls around and looks up. He nearly runs into Red Robin, and signs a few choice swears at the Bat.
"wow you're scarier in person, asshole."
"you didn't answer my question."
"Of course I didn't, you scared me." and Danny takes a trembling step back when the Batman jumps down and lands on the roof in front of him. He's faced ghosts before, but somehow the living is always scarier.
"But, um, the reason is a bit.. complicated, I guess." He says, fingers beginning to shake as his adrenaline wears off. God is he tired. He wants to go home. "The Fentons are the local ghost hunters and local crazies. I don't know if I can call them mad scientists because they're harmless to the living."
"But they're extremely anti-ghost. I've heard from their son multiple times the very unethical things they would do to ghosts if they got their hands on one."
Danny 'talks' a little more before calling it quits, even telling Batman that he can't tell him more without putting his identity at risk.
Plus, its getting harder and harder to hide his bone-deep exhaustion and his growing fear of being stranded in the most dangerous city in America with no way home.
"I would love to tell you more, believe me I'm dying to." Danny signs, shaky sarcasm dripping from his fingers. His hands are visibly trembling and he's withholding a slowly growing panic attack. "But I would like nothing more than to figure out a way to get home."
"Do you have no one to contact?"
"Sort of. But only one of them could probably come get me and get me back to Amity by sunrise. And I have no phone."
That one person being Ellie.

So tired of lateral ableism coming from autistics and ADHDers who have symptoms that aren’t severely debilitating. Like just because you don’t need meds or accommodations to function or you can conform well/adapt to NT society to a certain point doesn’t mean other autistics or ADHDers will also be able to?
This post brought to you by a group of people getting frustrated at us for being unable to keep up with a game, us saying “sorry I didn’t take my meds today” and them ALL glaring at me and scoffing about how well they haven’t been on ADHD meds for years. Every single person in the room (there were more than 2 other people). Like ok, good for you, I NEED them to function?? (and even then, I still can’t “pass” as NT.)
We feel so out of place even around other people who are also autistic and/or ADHD. Because so often the other(s) will show just enough traits to seem a bit quirky/odd to NTs, but not get read as visibly ND (except maybe under unusual circumstances, but generally speaking, they can mask effectively enough that NTs wouldn’t perceive them as “having something wrong with them”) but we’re noticeably “slow/r-worded” in a way we’re frequently, under normal, non-extreme circumstances, unable to hide. We’ve heard so many things about how other autistics and ADHDers found other neurodivergent folks and finally felt safe and comfortable after a lifetime of being judged in NT-dominated social circles, and we wish we could relate to that, but honestly we don’t feel any safer with someone just because they’re also autistic/ADHD, because in our experience they’re just as likely to be ableist to us as NTs. Sometimes even worse, because at least NTs can’t say “well *I* can handle (insert task) and I’m autistic/ADHD too so what’s YOUR excuse?”
But yeah. Some of y’all hate to acknowledge that autistics and ADHDers with higher support needs than you exist and you’re quick to throw the rest of us under the bus just because you’re so desperate to make autism and/or ADHD seem more palatable to NTs. Moderate-higher support needs neurodivergents shouldn’t have to beg lower support needs neurodivergents to have solidarity with us.

A major factor in our trauma is that, growing up with multiple level 3 autistic siblings, my parents thought i was allistic. they would ignore things i needed support in because obviously "your sister needs more help than you so you clearly can do it, you're just being lazy/difficult".
we HAD to form into a system to be able to even live since our support needs have never been met.
as a teenager i wouldn't shower for like 3 weeks and once my mom was like "oh you smell" i would go shower but i didn't use soap because i didn't realize i needed it.
i would have frequent meltdowns but since they looked different than my siblings, i was being "disrespectful and rude".
i would tell my mom i could absolutely not eat something and she would force me to eat it and get upset when i would immediately drop it out of my mouth due to the texture.
i misunderstood things in arguments or got distracted because of ADHD and i was "trying to derail the conversation".
i would look for something and be unable to find it almost every time and it was so bad my mom coined a term that she used for other people as well, using my name to describe "bad at finding things"
my parents treated all of my autistic traits as character flaws because my siblings are "more autistic" in their eyes.
i. am. disabled. my disabilities are not noncompliance or disrespect.

The way many LSN/level 1 autistic people talk about autism is really gross and weird actually
I think many of you forget that autism is an actual disorder and not a personality trait

Autistic Stigma Axis Chart
This isn’t meant to be taken really seriously, just comparing how different people experience different forms of ableism I guess. Honestly I think most autistic people have dealt with all of these things at some point.
Tumblr media
[Image: Axis chart with the horizontal being a scale from high masking to low masking, and the vertical being a scale from high support needs to low support needs. High support needs and high masking reads “told they don’t need accommodations because they look normal.” High support needs and low masking reads “infantilized by neurotypicals 24/7.” Low support needs and high masking reads “anxiety from being expected to be a savant genius.” Low support needs and low masking reads “perceived as allistics who are rude, weird, lazy, etcetera.”]

One reason don’t joke about autism is because don’t want be seen as joke.
Not funny not able regulate emotions. Not funny having difficulties with social interaction. Not funny need people already know around help socialize and make new friends. Not funny that at current age still need supervision going places.
Not funny that put life in danger because low environment awareness and sense of danger. Not funny know possibility never able live alone. Or go college. Or even walk to park that barely 5 minutes away from house.
It’s not funny that small things have me breaking down, crying, yelling, hitting myself and others. It’s not funny that a small change of plans will ruin my whole mood. Not funny that make random faces, don’t notice am making them, and get yelled at for face.
Not saying don’t have good autism traits. But if joke about good ones, others won’t take my bad one’s seriously.

Immediately thought of the cowboy!au. Honestly giving Soap vibes with this (almost) air of bravado and cockiness. Like this is a "look at me" moment, the male bird dancing for the female bird's approval.
Your fae and cowboy au live in my head and charge me rent.
This is what I was referencing in my Goose post!!! Literally this exact video had me thinking. Yes! Her and Soap break horses the same way. She taught him and he's never had a reason to do it any different, they're frequently called to other ranches to break problem horses.
Here's Soap doing cowboy shit. Ghost is a little jealous...
"You're gonna get yourself killed Johnny," Ghost tells him, hardly putting up a fight when Soap plucks the cig from his mouth to climb on the yet to be broken stallion. "I'm serious," Ghost pulls another stick free of the pack and lights it, "wait for Goose to get back."
"Dinnae need Goose, don't get your knickers twisted." He wraps the reigns around his hand just as the horse bucks. Ghost takes a long drag of his cigarette watching his ass leave the saddle.
Soap pulls the reigns tighter, gripping the back of the saddle with his free hand as soon as he's sitting safely. Ghost leans against the fence, watching the horse rear back and buck putting all its power into trying to shake Soap off its back. He's gotta admit, it's impressive the way Soap sticks to the saddle through pure strength. It's almost exactly like watching Goose.
He forgets sometimes how similar those two are. It's like working with the fucking wonder twins. Except instead of super powers it's the same jokes passed back and forth all day.
Soap's hips jolt forward as the horse gives a half hearted hop, trying to build power again. The horse backs up, hops, backs up, and bucks. Soap's arms tighten, musculature on full display in the Texas sun. He smiles around the cigarette, hardly bothered by the aggressive attempts on his life from the animal under him. Ghost taps some of his ash off the end of his cigarette and pulls his phone free of his pocket in case they need emergency services.
Eh, he'll take a video for Goose while he's got it. She'll wanna see Soap fall on his ass.
The horse takes the opportunity to race around the paddock. Ghost leans away from the fence, not eager to get Soap scraped off onto him. The horse has to be fumin' by now, and it shows, stomping its hooves and shaking its head when it stops.
"Got no one to impress here Johnny," Ghost calls out as the horse walks by him.
"Got you don't I?" He yells back, words mumbled around the cigarette in his mouth. The horse takes the opportunity of distraction to start bucking again. Giving its last wild and low attempts at dislodging its rider.
It's head shakes, its short hops stomp it's hooves against the dirt. It gallop-bucks, hopping and doing its best to be a bumpy ride. Soap sticks to it like glue. Barely moving save for the way his hips follow the motion of the saddle. It's the last burst of energy before the horse decides to mosey its way around, following the line of the fence.
Ghost sends the video Goose's way, gives Soap a second to ash his cigarette and take a decent drag. The horse huffs at both of them but keeps its composure well enough. It's past the bucking for the moment at least.
"Attaboy," Soap coos at the horse, it shakes its head, taking a few tentative steps back.
"Got another buck in you?" Ghost asks the horse, it seems to think about it before shaking its head again. Soap nudges the horse with his heels and takes it for a little trot around the circle, letting the horse lead where it wants.
"Naw he's brand new, got all his steamin' out." Soap trots around the circle, the horse getting used to his weight and the tap of his heels. "Who needs Goose?" He grins at Ghost, who shakes his head.
"She puts on a prettier show," Ghost snuffs his cigarette on the metal fence, careful not to flick the butt where a critter might eat it.
"I don't put on a good show?"
"Don't need me to tell you you're pretty Johnny," Ghost settles in flicking his cigarette at Soap, watching him tug the reigns to keep the horse out if the way. Soap rolls his eyes.
"Anno, plenty of bunnies to do it for you."
