I don’t know, maybe it’s because I’m Irish and used to seeing all sorts of haha jokes about how weird our names are etc but yet I’m always surprised how surprised people are when I say that I find Welsh a pretty easy language to get the gist of. It makes sense! Welsh is something I know very little of but yet I find it easy enough to parse out the pronunciation of. I don’t always know what things mean but I’m not usually that far off in how they should be said.

those who have atleast one (the more, the better usually-not always) trans person who is close to them/they know very well tend to understand my transness in a completely different way than other cis people. like ofc they’ll never understand me in the same way other trans ppl will (with some exceptions ofc)-but they seem to get it in a way that other cis people do.

whereas those who don’t really know any other trans ppl will sometimes act/say things that are unintentionally just… not… ideal…. like theyre (usually) trying but…. it’s just noticeable they’re very used to only being around cis people.

this is in my experience extra noticeable with men, but that doesn’t mean that’s how it’s for everyone ofc:)

YES OH MY GOD I THINK ABOUT THIS SO MUCH… and the end part about how firey doesn’t do stuff like that for his other friends… have you ever thought about who his actual friends are? just think about it… everyone he associated with in bfdi were almost just acquaintances… he was super focused on challenges and usually worked more independently when he had the chance He didn’t really make time for friends and stuff.. he had minor friendships with certain people but he mainly stuck to his objective of winning dream island whereas leafy liked to work with people during challenges that didn’t require teamwork (like ice cube and sometimes bubble) or random people she would help during challenges) if you think about it hard enough… leafy was fireys only true friend (at least in bfdi)!!! she was the only one to establish a friendship with firey and it seemed like firey needed that push to see someone as a real friend instead of a fellow competitor (or enemy LOL). she was the only one he ever really stood up for he really really saw her as a friend he has never done any of that for anyone else before either (at least up until then) and he also changed his challenge strategy of independence with her at least a couple times… he stuck with her through the challenge in bfdi 20 (for as long as he could…) and occasionally stuck with her through bfdi 23. firey also really passionately defended her and demanded for her to be back when she died and announcer told him that he sold the recovery centers. and yeah of course the ferris wheel GAH but you already mentioned that! and of course firey saving leafy from her punishment of what they thought would be permanent death even tho they were punishing her for something she did mainly to firey … but to wrap up my point! firey has never expressed compassion the same way he has for leafy with anyone else. she was his only true friend in bfdi she was like the only one he ever really had to consider a friend for that whole season of competition … of course there’s much more to discuss for later seasons but i’ve been typing for like over 30 minutes now so i’m gonna quit HAHAHA SORRYYY there are so many words i am really enthusiatic about them

someone arrived in the mail a week early! it’s core refresh draculaura (who’s the one i drew for my pfp, so i may be biased in loving her already) but anyways, doll review time!

here she is unboxed, i took the hat tabs off. the hat will stay on if she’s stationary, but definitely will fall off if you play with her. it’s the same rubbery material as her scaradise sun hat. very happy to see her finally get the hat though!

i haven’t made it back to my dorm to brush out her gelly bangs and give her hair a quick wash, but i noticed mine doesn’t have a perfect split dye. i kinda like it though, especially in the back. it’s cute! (and as someone who has two color bangs right now, yeah i can’t keep those shits separate so. relatable)

here’s the new cat count fabulous! (cat fabulous?) this mold is actually adorable, i hope they keep cat fabulous he’s very cute. her backpack is very large and can fit pretty much all of the accessories she comes with in it!

as for those accessories, she comes with sunscreen, drink cup (with bat cup holder, super cute), lip gloss (same mold as fearidescent), a witchcraft book, sunglasses, and count fabulous bag! and, some of those accessories actually open as well!

the book opens up, and drac’s signed it. the count fabulous bag actually opens up (which i discovered on accident pulling it out of the box and thinking i broke it.) and it’s a lunchbox! super cute!

So the interview went okay. I definitely get the impression everyone makes it through that phase cause it was information heavy. Got to chat some with the recruiter and ask some questions, and I’m getting a rig test that I’ll have seven days to put together. (Fully prepared to blow off most of my class work in favor of that).

If that goes well I’ll get a second interview with two current riggers who then decide whether they want me on board.

so light magic is obviously the opposite of dark magic and if I remember correctly, it’s a somewhat calming presence. It’s not meant for violence.

does that mean it could counter what dark magic does to its users?

there’s the obvious issue of when it gets used to much or just to a point where this voice tells them negative things about themselves in an almost trance like way. I think one of the reasons it never got solved was because every time it gets mentioned, it revolves around Dark. Dark, it’s I am to be correct, never got the chance/never told Blade about the voice and in doing so, never was able to find a way to reverse it.

Dark magic has been around for ages and I don’t remember where light magic comes from but it’s not as old as dark magic is which means that this could just be a reoccurring think with dark magic users and since light magic hasn’t been around as long (and I’m gonna guess dark and light have been at each others throats for who knows how long) there hasn’t been a viable solution.

Dark and Blade met right as his voice appeared which means they never really had all THAT much time to get close where as V and Cheeky have known each before the voice showed up.

I think there is a way to reverse this and I think it’s a mental thing(?). Hypothetically, if Cheeky, seeing as they’re able to get inside peoples heads, could somehow get into V’s head and do something (idk what) that might basically tell the thing to fuck off, then V might not go insane (or whatever happens to them).

this voice stems from the negativity stemmed around dark magic (I think). Dark had the issue where he was always out down and Blade was trying to tell him like “hey. You’re not a fuck up, my dad is just an ass.” One key difference, unless proven otherwise, is that Blade didn’t have the ability to get into peoples heads so if she was able to get into his head, there’s a possibility that the outcome between the two of them might have been different.

my knowledge of the lore needs a refresher like big time and in doing so, I have to figure out if my theory’s can be disproven (don’t get me started on how I think Blade isn’t actually related to the light guy who calls the shots)
