i just got sucker punched by my own idea at nearly midnight thinking about all the angst.

like...spider is going to be kidnapped, that's a given. but this time, people are going to care. and it's gonna be so heart wrenching to write jake's decision to leave the clan because he's leaving his son behind. it'll be so bittersweet writing about the siblings learning the metkayina ways without him. it'll be painful to go through the realisation of spider's parentage, especially neytiri's struggle both as a warrior and a mother.

like, i just saw a gif of lo'ak and neteyam having fun in the water and just suddenly thought 'you guys are probably feeling so guilty you're having fun meanwhile your big brother is in the hands of a despicable human being and you can't even go rescue him--'

thought i'd let you guys share my pain.
