#but also the general vibe of chaotic fuckery and 'i support womens wrongs' of it all is growth
Note
I'm still not putting much stock in any of the rumors, but it's interesting that People Magazine profiled Matt Healy; while it does mention connections he and Taylor have had, it says nothing one way or another about them currently (as in, it doesn't say "yes they are", nor does it say "no they are not"). I'm trying to figure out why People did the profile, other than maybe he's someone that's in the news right now.
Also, now you have Calvin Harris saying that he regrets the way he acted after he and Taylor split. Interesting.
I wanted to get that out, and ask you for your take on it (especially the first one), but I really want to let all the things about her Taylor's personal life go, and focus on things like her professional accomplishments, as well as things like her her friendship/partnership with people like Aaron, Jack, Ed, etc. Like many others, I do find it frustrating that suddenly it seems like Taylor's lovelife is once again a "national pastime" (to use one of her quotes)(and the sexist/chauvinist idea that a woman is first and foremost defined by who she's in a relationship with - especially if it's a man). I'm at times as guilty as the next person about letting thoughts about Taylor's personal life into my headspace, but I want to put that firmly into the back, and focus on other things.
I mean my read on it is the obvious. People is aware Google searches of 'Matty Healy' are going up as a result of British tabloids connecting him in a more concrete way to one of the most famous women/people on the planet. They don't have reporting that confirms the stories and are mildly more reputable for celebrity news than The Sun so their approach to get traffic and clicks is positioning an article as a source for people who do not know him to figure out who t f he is without covering unsubstantiated rumours about Taylor.
I have never paid attention to Circus Hummingbird so I don't have thoughts about that.
The thing is (and it's a delicate line to balance) is that Taylor's personal life is a large part of her professional life. And we as fans care about her not just as a singer but also as a human. We're invested in her life and not just her art and her work. So how do we discuss and talk about her life and art and work and love endeavours in a way that is respectful and not gossip-y and gross (but also who doesn't love goss?). It's very hard! My goal and intent is always to ride that very fine line in a way that's thoughtful and kind.
