sat down to write my [REDACTED] [🚬] foundation fic and ended up spending half an hour hammering out whatever the calendar equivalent of a conlang is. progress is progress right

#I don't even like conlangs. my brain hates hypotheticals and hypothetical language constructions are of 0 use or interest to me #but I didn't want to slap the earth's gregorian calendar onto trantor and follow it up with a feeble 'era imperial 12055'#I don't even know if I'll use this. it's just set dressing for the main focus of the story but I kind of enjoy the texture it adds #simple things should feel a little otherworldly and strange because the setting *is* otherworldly and strange #txt #my writing
