hii! I’m in university in my 3rd year and all is going well but i’m starting to have a super packed schedule. i’m getting everything done on time but some lab and club responsibilities have taken the brunt of my new schedule. do you have any recommendations for staying on top of your work (and not neglecting yourself in the meantime)?
Currently going through this, so I completely understand where you're coming from. Here are some of my tips:
Prioritize sleep and make getting at 6-7 hours of rest a non-negotiable in your life
Walk as much as you can to get some movement in and fresh air
Focus on eating healthy meals at least 80% of the time. Take your vitamins every day if you need any
Give yourself at least 30 minutes in the morning before you need to get ready/get started with your day
Have a work cutoff time for yourself every night. Book some relaxation time into your schedule daily (especially before bed)
Find one or two simple routines that you really enjoy and can easily incorporate into your day (mine are a cup of coffee in the morning and a walk home/a shower with tea in the evening)
Reframe the idea/habit of rest and not neglecting your needs as a burnout prevention strategy not "being lazy"
Hope this helps xx

How to have a productive study session.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When your finals are in 2 days, and you've definitely NOT studied enough, it's normal to panic. You sit down to study and get a solid 30 minutes of calculus done, then jump down the rabbit hole called YouTube. Soon enough the dread creeps up because you're still not done.
As a girl who doesn't attend school regularly due to coaching classes I go to (I'll expand on this later), it's pretty easy to forget to study for exams and projects.
But there's nothing better than getting 98% on that exam. So I'm writing this as someone who's been scoring straight As all my life. Here's how to have a productive study session:
Note: This isn't a guide for romanticising studies. This is meant for a serious, productive session. I will, however, be making a guide to help romanticise studies because I've found it helps a lot.
Before you study
Identify what your distractions are: Let's be real, almost everyone has their phone on hand during study sessions. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb and keep it in a corner of the room. Add a few selected contacts that can reach you while your phone is on DND. If you can turn off notifications entirely, do that.
Taking measures: After I keep my phone away, my brain turns to the next thing it could be distracted by. My laptop and tablet. Put those devices in focus mode, so you won't be tempted to use any other apps and use a Chrome extension like StayFocused or WasteNoTime to not get sidetracked.
Resources: Make sure you have all your material on hand. Video lectures, notes, guides, your formula sheet, and flash cards. Keep everything on hand so you won't have to rifle through papers to find that reference sheet.
Your space: Clean your desk. Keep only the things you need. Your pens and pencils, chargers, annotation material and water bottle. If you want, light a candle. Do not clutter it unnecessarily. Your desk is a sacred space. Treat it that way.
When you sit down
The checklist: Do you have all the material required? Electronics, chargers, a snack and a drink? Water bottle? Extra pen? If you have everything beforehand, you'll be less likely to lose focus because you forgot to charge your headphones.
Make a plan: I cannot stress this enough. You'll sit down and just start studying, and next thing you know, it's 7pm and all you've done is watch videos on celebrity drama. Make a goddamn plan. Write down a realistic number of chapters you can complete and then STICK TO IT.
Begin: Reread and review your notes. I usually like to rewrite my notes in neater handwriting, because my handwriting in class is appalling. To really solidify information, I recommend the 'Blurting' method. Read a paragraph, then close the book and say what you understood out loud. Reread to see what you missed and take note. I did this for my history exam and got a 100%. This shit works for a reason. Use the Pomodoro technique to maximise productivity. Set an alarm for 25 minutes, and do intensive study. Once that's done, take a 5-minute break. Return and repeat.
IMPORTANT
Take a break: Ah yes, if you don't get up every 40 minutes or so for a break, eventually whatever you're studying will start looking like garbage and you'll be back to square one. GET UP. Walk around. STRETCH. You've been looking like a croissant🥐. Eat something. Rehydrate.
Forgive yourself: If you couldn't hit your target, don't be harsh on yourself. Find out the cause: Were you distracted? Did something unavoidable come up? Then try to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Study buddy: This is a double-edged sword. Studying with a friend can either increase your productivity by a massive amount, or it can help you get absolutely zero work done. When revising with a friend, make sure you study with someone who has the same goals as you and won't get distracted by things.
It's 2023, procrastination is cancelled. Go drink some water, eat a granola bar and finish that assignment you've been delaying. Be the person who finishes all their work, on time and perfectly. You can do it.

Hey there! I'm newer (about a year or so) to celebrating the sabbats and was wondering what you like to do for each? I've looked at different online spaces and have found some pretty cool traditions. Blessings for you!
I usually tend to forgot about most of them due to regular life and not being used to celebrating them yet. But I usually do some circle casting and little prayers with intentions of what the sabbat is known for.
What I like to do for all of the sabbats is colour code my outfits of jewelry, and carry a round the crystals that correspond with the sabbat that’s my way of celebrating them mostly when I am busy
Samhain: I just do my normal Halloween celebration with my family and put skulks/bones on my altar
Yule: I made a Yule log but also celebrated Christmas, I also gather some slow water and put cinnamon sticks out on my alter
Imbolc: I usually like to light more candles the usual and listen to music more, and also celebrate Valentine’s Day, and take a moment to look at my dreams and goals and manifest them
Ostara: I like to do a spring renewal chant with a element and earth invocation and celebrate Easter a little bit, taking the time to honor the balance of things (day and night, light and dark) putting little rabbits on my altar
Beltaine: I have celebrated maypole a few times in the past, I also like to celebrate this sabbat a lot more with colour coronation than anything else, I also like to get mini maypoles and out ribbon around them, I also tied ribbon to trees(collecting them after beltaine is over of course, unless nothing can be harmed by them) I also like to have some ribbon cuttings on my altar
Litha: I put flowers on my altar, I like to meditate on my energy to push forward my dreams and goals for my yoga practice I like to dance through it at this time to celebrate Litha
Lughnasadh: I like to make a symbol that reminds me of my goals and carry it around with me, I also like to make some bread as an offering to the earth, I would also eat some and then leave some for the earth on line a rock, for animals and such, I also like to do spells for nourishment, patience, and strength for my goals
Mabon: I like to carry around acorns and put them on my altar, put some flowers as well on my altar, I also like to do a reflecting spell that gets rid of what doesn’t serve my growth or happiness anymore, a time for transformation
I hope this helps a little bit! - thank you so much for the ask! :D blessings to you as well!!✨🤍

OOC - IMPORTANT!!
hello,
i know i wasn’t active like i used to be last year. i did get burnt out from my previous job and i’m currently transitioning into the new job.
along with my old job, i have been going through some personal things since last month and it has taken a toll on me… big time. it had left me feeling burnt out and possibly depressed, so i did do the best i could to work more hours along with trying not to exert myself. it was the most burnt out i have felt in a while.. and i am still trying to relax although i only had a few days to.
from this point on, my phone usage will be very limited— i could only use my phone 2 times a week, but honestly who knows? it is currently hard to adapt to a new routine since i usually have difficulties facing it but i eventually ease in.
i still sincerely apologize for not putting some time aside to interact and roleplay with you guys.. i really miss those days and i want to come back. i also haven’t been on other social media as much lately as well..
please remember, i am NOT going to delete this account!
i will still keep it, it will be a longer wait. after 9-12 weeks of training, i should be able to bounce back. i’m not sure who will be around by then— it is understandable if people unfollow me. it will not hurt my feelings at all. but then i have to worry about the amount of porn bots that will follow me…
once again, i would like to apologize for my lack of activity.

Plant Lover with Limited Space? Meet Your Match with Magnetic Planters
Finding space for greenery can be a challenge in the hustle and bustle of modern life. However, with the innovative solution of magnetic planters, bringing nature into your home or workspace has never been easier. These planters boast a unique feature that allows them to adhere to any magnetic surface, instantly transforming even the most compact areas into lush, leafy havens. Magnetic planters offer a versatile and innovative solution, whether you reside in a cosy apartment, work in a cramped office, or simply want to add a touch of green to your surroundings.
One of the most compelling features of magnetic planters is their space-saving design. Traditional planters often occupy valuable floor or counter space, making them impractical for small or cluttered environments. In contrast, magnetic planters utilize vertical space, allowing you to create a stunning display of greenery on walls, refrigerators, filing cabinets, or any other magnetic surface. This vertical orientation not only maximizes space utilization but also adds visual interest to otherwise mundane areas. Whether you're a seasoned urban gardener or a novice plant enthusiast, magnetic planters offer endless possibilities for creative expression in your living or working space.
Moreover, the versatility of magnetic planters makes them an ideal choice for individuals seeking adaptable and customizable solutions. These planters come in various sizes, shapes, and materials, allowing you to tailor your green oasis to suit your preferences and needs. Whether you prefer sleek, modern designs or rustic, earthy aesthetics, there's a magnetic planter to complement any decor style. Additionally, their magnetic properties enable easy rearrangement and repositioning, allowing you to experiment with different layouts and configurations until you find the perfect arrangement. With magnetic planters, you're not just limited to traditional potted plants; you can also use them to display herbs, succulents, or even artificial flowers for low-maintenance greenery year-round.
In conclusion, magnetic planters offer a practical, stylish, and space-saving solution for incorporating nature into any environment. Their innovative design allows you to maximize space utilization, unleash your creativity, and enjoy the beauty of greenery in even the smallest spaces. Whether you're looking to create a serene indoor garden, add a pop of colour to your office, or simply breathe life into your surroundings, magnetic planters are sure to impress with their versatility and ingenuity. Say goodbye to cramped quarters and hello to a vibrant, leafy haven with magnetic planters.

So I’ve seen the big picture.
All of this is mostly public knowledge so it shouldn’t be a big surprise. I did some investigating over the weekend on projects and potential projects, etc.
My biggest (technically only) client has the following projects gearing up to start in the 2nd half of 2023:
New 386 key hotel tower, and ballroom space in Las Vegas
New 200 key hotel in Columbus
New casino relocation in Joliet
New casino relocation, hotel tower, and convention space in Aurora
Existing, 510 key hotel room renovation in Black Hawk
Existing, 395 key hotel room renovation in Boisser City
Existing, 1000 key hotel room renovation in Lake Charles
Plus not to mention any of the little small restaurant & bar renovations, Sportsbook renovations, conversions of old food buffets into “food halls” or new Sportsbook.
Also, if gaming is legalized in Texas…I’m sure there will be a new casino/ hotel/ convention/ food hall/ horse track in the works.
Just the bullet points above equal approximately $960M in construction costs.
So where does my little slice of the pie fit in?
So I guess I’m going to be busy for the next couple of years.
Sigh.

Hi,
I need to have other people perspective on this matter.
I broke up recently withy girlfriend and one of the main points she blamed for when we sat and talked was that i dont call as much and i dont message as much
To give a little bit of context i work +48 hours rotating schedule and am trying to launch my writing career and hustle for extra jobs.
My mother also needs care specially during the last months so my only day off I switched to taking care of her and helping around the house.
So I did not have time to see her in the past months, and I do admit I am not a texter and I try as much to keep my self away from social media and the phone.
This off course with the schedule i had and an upcoming deadline for a writing workshop plus chores at home even our communication online and phone decreased.
I understand how this must feel for another person but I dont wish to live like this
Every time I would blame her for not supporting me for exemple not remembering that workshop or my decision to go back to school she'd say that s because we dont talk as much
Sorry for how long this is
I just to know is it a really of communication of mine that i need to improve ?
How much does couple communicate on daily basis
Is not talking to ur partner every single day not normal ?
Everyone is truly different in how much interaction they need. Two very independent people with busy lives might be happier together because they understand the reality of having almost every minute taken up by work or other commitments.
Others are fine going through circumstances which result in less communication for a short time. Many need daily and longer interaction more regularly to feel loved and stable or to build an intimate and trusting relationship.
Most of us, as time allows, enjoy at least some contact daily, even if just a few quick texts to touch base, especially if we don't live with our girlfriend. The longer and more stable a relationship, the less texting or calls are needed because a routine is established. Long distance or not cohabitating can mean more effort on digital interacting for the sake of building a connection.
It sounds like you are at a point in your life, both by choice and partially not by your choice, that your focus is not able to be on building a relationship. You are zeroed in on your career and school and toss family obligations on top of that and you just don't realistically have the time and energy to work on bonding with a woman in a romantic capacity.
If you were living together and had "quiet time" at night or at some meals daily or even weekly, texting is unnecessary. Living apart and still very much in the stages of growth and gaining trust and deeper emotions for each other is a hard time to slow contact.
It truly just sounds like the added expectations of a relationship were stressing you out as opposed to bringing you comfort and happiness. It is okay that right now you need to be about you and the things you can and can't control about your schedule.
If you find the right woman who can thrive under low contact periods then you will be less stressed when you have to take more time off of the phone or in person visits. It is also healthy and okay to not want to be in a relationship right now so you can do your things whole heartedly and not worry about the needs of girlfriend. Your lack of time won't last forever and then you can try to find someone who meets your needs and who thrives under what communication schedule you can comfortably maintain.
Getting better at communication and recognizing what your partner needs is important, but so is understanding your limits and constraints.

Self-Care Tips For Busy People
Life happens and sometimes, it can get in the way of self-care. There are ways in which you can incorporate self-care into your daily routine, even on busy days.
De-stress with aromatherapy – You can do this using scented candles or adding a relaxing scent to your bath.
Play music or a motivational podcast while getting ready – Set your intentions for the day using uplifting motivational words.
Sleep earlier – When you have hectic days, it is a good idea to set the best sleep/wake time to maximize sleep quality.
Prep your meals – Take some time out of your day to prep your meals ahead of time. It helps you stick to nutritious foods, especially when there is no time on your schedule.
Take the stairs instead of the elevator – When you don’t have time for the gym on your schedule, make small changes in your daily routine that can compensate for it.
Carry a refillable water bottle – Hydration is an essential part of self-care. Carrying a water bottle, not only acts as a reminder but also facilitates water intake throughout the day.

Quran (42:20)
Kim ahiret ekinini/sevabını isterse, onun ekinini/sevabını artırırız. Kim dünya ekinini isterse ona da ondan veririz. Onun ahirette bir nasibi/payı yoktur.

“Sorry I haven’t called, I’ve been really busy imagining fake scenarios and fantasizing about people I’ve never met.” I say to the fictional character I’ve created in my head that’s infatuated with me but who’s feelings I don’t reciprocate because I’m in love with someone else that I don’t even know yet.
