measuring our worth on numbers, productivity and physical appearance is a wonderful game that some of us are playing, isn't it? 😛
your desires, hopes and dreams are already alive within you. action flows from your state/energy/being. i'm writing this bc i'm fed up with trying, seeking, and forcing. let's practice together and see what will happen 🌊

Life Balance and the Feeling of Failure
For recovering perfectionists and "good kids", there is a struggle as we grow to be productive. To strive. To achieve. Even if it means sacrificing our own well-being to do it. Never works out that way, does it?
For recovering perfectionists and “good kids”, there is a struggle as we grow to be productive. To strive. To achieve. Even if it means sacrificing our own well-being to do it. We treat our lives and ourselves like machines to produce results, a means to an end and not like the living and growing beings we actually are. The temptation to stake our identity on success at these goals on a…

Sometimes I feel overwhelmed with the feeling that I should do more. More exercising, more reading, more childcare, more work... I have to remind myself that what I do is already enough. And that I deserve some free time with a video game. I deserve to sleep late during weekends, take a long hot shower, or just do nothing at all and just stare out of the window.
Anybody struggling with the same?

Had an idea for a monster omori AU. I've seen alot of people making them, why not try my hand.
It may also keep me from burning out from Pokémon in: Omori.
Maybe it's a bad idea, since I still can't draw and will have to rely on art requests, but hey, I'll still write fics for it!
Let me know if you wanna see the Mythical Creatures Omori AU (MCOAU)

This is your kind reminder to get some rest
and some time off to recalculate your routes !
Sometimes we're so deep in over our heads we forget we CAN stop for a breather and reassess our plans. There's absolutely nothing wrong with taking some time to think things through, EVEN and SPECIALLY if you're in the midst of a turmoil.
Life gets messy, our plans spiral out of our control and it seems like we cannot rest for a freaking second without being demanded more over more over more.
But if you don't stop for even a single minute, chances are it'll only get worse. We need those moments of staring at a white ceiling and intentionally thinking of what we're doing.
It's okay if you need a break.
It's okay if you feel like you need to stop.
And it's okay if you do stop. Sometimes is needed. Now it's a good time to give yourself a moment to breathe and think.
It's better if you do it now and find ways to deal with the turmoil than to be swallowed whole by it.
and if it does swallow you whole, breathe down very deeply and go into emergency mode - but only if it does.
- L

Respite care plays a pivotal role in supporting the mental health and well-being of primary caregivers. As a provider of this essential medical service in Pennsylvania, we have enumerated mental health benefits associated with incorporating respite care into a caregiver’s routine.

In the life of a student, the issue of mental health often goes unnoticed until it results in burnout, leading to fatigue, cynicism, and a significant drop in academic performance. This silent epidemic affects many students, making recognizing signs such as persistent fatigue, lack of motivation, and a feeling of inefficacy is crucial. Addressing mental health involves not only acknowledging these signs but also actively seeking solutions to mitigate their impact.

January is a month where I have to slow down what I do in my life because of the demands of my day job. I provide technical support for financial software for businesses, which translates into mandatory overtime and dealing with stressed out people. By the end of my working day I’m usually emotionally and mentally tapped. What I have learned to do is slow down during January and accept that what I usually do in terms of writing and other content creation simply isn’t going to happen to the same degree as it happens the rest of the year.
It’s important to recognize when you could be headed toward burnout. When you recognize that you are starting to burnout you can take preventative measures but the most important you can take is to actually yourself to have the space to reset and recharge. So often we are told to be productive, to always be doing some activity, but sometimes what we really need to do is slow down and pace ourselves.

Taking Up Space is Not Optional
What do you do when you are a creative who was conditioned never to take up space? How do you stop making yourself as small as possible? How do you learn to have needs? One small. Painful. Step at a time.
I grew up in an environment that required me to be small. To have few wants and fewer needs. To not grow beyond the comfort of those around me. To be unnoticed and useful. The nail that sticks out gets hammered down; and as a middle child, and the eldest daughter, in an extremely toxic family system, those were really my only options. Demand attention, the cost to me and my youngest sibling be…
