unfriendly reminder that lusting over fictional murderers is one thing — but lusting over real life murderers is abhorrent and shameful and simply wrong.
they have real victims. they inflicted real pain. there is nothing, absolutely nothing, romantic or sexy or alluring or quirky about them, no matter what netflix or any other production company puts out.
it’s one thing to joke around and say you love characters like the corinthian, or hannibal lecter, etc — they’re not real, and we know that.
but the second you bring in someone like jeffrey dahmer or ted bundy or some other real-life killer, i lose all respect for you.
there’s a line between fiction and reality. sometimes it blurs, but sometimes, you really need to make sure it does not.
people who got triggered by the Dahmer show and shaming other people for watching a show about a serial KILLER actually do be sending DEATH THREATS to the people who liked it calling them insensitive and saying shit like "kill yourselves" and "i hope you all die"
