I didn't know that, but I am YOINKING and also merging this with Generally How I Think The End Of Golden Wind Might Go so-

just. It's the last day. The body swap happens and Giorno starts panicking. Not because of any worries about secrets or anything, but because mentally he's still in his beast form. His Fox Bug Brain is loosing its shit because not only is it somehow back in a human form when it didn't change, but he seemingly can't change back. His senses are all out of whack because of the differing biology and the sudden change in size and number of limbs, which is made even WORSE by the fact that this isn't even his regular human body

He's able to manage some sounds, maybe a short word or two, but most higher understandings are completely beyond his comprehension. As for walking....... it's a mixed bag. He can't go very fast and is incredibly unsteady, so he spends almost the whole time glued to "Trish's" (Mista's) side out of general fear and unease. It's honesty a 50/50 on whether Giorno's even able to comprehend what's going on with the body swapping, and even if he can it's definitely going to take a moment

on the plus side, Narancia doesn't have to die because Diavolo isn't sure whether to target the weird Fox Bug Thing :D

but yeah, things continue, Polnareff explains the situation to everyone (who's all still alive because Giorno went with Trish and Bucciarati up the tower and stuck around with Abbacchio on the beach) (Polnareff also has some suspicions about Giorno and starts slowly thinking his situation could be similar to the Joestar's), and they head out to get the Arrow and beat Diavolo's ass

eventually they catch up, and things mostly happen as normal for a bit, the souls all swap back and Giorno's back in his body

and then the Arrow gets thrown, sailing through the air in his direction

it's been days since he'd been found by the Bucci Gang. And despite all the chaos and danger and fighting and blood...... being with them has been the safest Giorno's felt in his entire life. They cared about him, he was allowed to exist as a beast around them and stay safe and unharmed. He wanted to keep that

He wanted to keep them

and for the first time in days, Giorno's mind snaps back to pure clarity as a single thought rushes through his entire being

Protect them

his leaps into the air, higher than he had ever dared before, letting his wings unfurl to carry him even further. He catches the Arrow easily, and just as he lands on the ground its metal meets the mystic flesh of Gold Experience. His body warps and changes alongside Gold, exoskeleton and faux-metal breaking away, both growing and changing and becoming something else. One reverting back to a state he'd lost touch with, the other becoming something completely new

Diavolo didn't stand a chance and the Bucci Gang can only stare in silent shock

unfortunately in the One(1) second Giorno takes to relax after Diavolo is defeated, the shock and stress of everything finally catch up with him. He was in his beast form for nearly a week without any changing back which wasn't the best for his human health (different dietary needs and all (he's not starving since the beast form is where most of the metabolism is going but he's not in peak condition and is probably going to be VERY hungry when he wakes up)) and the sudden shock to his system really isn't great. It also didn't help that Giorno doesn't change forms much so the shock is even worse and also a bit painful

so yeah, he passes the fuck out leaving the Bucci Gang to panic about What The FUCK Just Happened. Currently their best working theory is GER turned Giorno into a human, and GER isn't saying anything because It Really Doesn't Care Much and Polnareff is hesitant to say anything otherwise because he's know this kind of thing is usually kept secret and he isn't sure if Giorno's comfortable with sharing

so they head over to a safe house, the day passes as they treat their injures, Giorno's still unconscious, nobody has any idea what's happening, and things just get MORE confusing when the sun sets and Giorno suddenly starts changing back. GER is mostly unhelpful in explaining things, but Giorno wakes up and is acting mostly normal. He's a bit off, but it's nothing too crazy. He's...... temperamental isn't the right word, but he seems to be more emotional in a sense. He's way more affectionate but also a bit jumpier and seems to have less understanding of them and their words. My thoughts is that the Full Moon Turnings kinda..... wrap their brains in more layers of cotton. Their control and general mental state is much more detached and not as strong. Best case scenario they'll have some faint memories, but most of the time they won't remember anything at all

and of course come morning, the change back

it's....... more than a little disorienting, but his head is clearer then it's been all week so he considers it a plus. Heck, he's never felt this good after waking up from a Forced Transformation in his life! Nothing hurts and he doesn't feel anxious!!!

the explanation is a tad awkward at first. For a bit of crack, during the first half both sides were on COMPLETELY different pages. The Bucci Gang were still under the impression Giorno is a freshly "born" human, and Giorno thinks they know about their werecreature thing. Of course, when that's cleared up there's the question of why he only changed back during that last moment of the fight and why he was freaking out when he was in Narancia's body, at which comes the explanation of...... well, he couldn't

it's a bit uncomfortable to explain the emotional aspect and impact when it comes to his beast form. He has to explain how his mind clouds over, how high stress and strong emotions can influence it, and...... well, how he's never been safe in his beast form before. How this week with them had been the most accepted and safest he'd ever been in his entire life and well....... it's not difficult to connect the dots when they'd all seen the countless scars littering the beast's body

it's incredibly personal, but he wants them to understand. Maybe it's his beast part influencing him, making him more open to trust these people who by all accounts he's only known for a week, but despite the uneasiness in his gut he can't bring himself to regret it

it's at this point Polnareff ends up stepping in and mentions how he knows people like Giorno. That he isn't as alone as he thinks, that there are others out there, an entire family, who could offer him a lot more explanations so he wouldn't have to figure out things as he went

so....... yeah now I have a mental image of a Giant Joestar Creature Cuddle Pile <3

I miss...giorno giovanna.

im thinking a lot about his complex role as a healer. his stand isn't meant to heal, he essentially brute forces it, which fits for the kind of person he is vs Josuke. furthermore, giorno is very self sacrificing in a very literal sense. he loses multiple body parts over the course of part 5 and just has to remake them. there's a ship of Theseus paradox here though I dont think THAT much of him was remade.

after the white album fight, mista tells him that their victory will be all of them surviving together as giorno once again tries to sacrifice himself. he takes this to heart, but soon afterwards its proven that this cannot always happen. His healing isn't enough. he can only give Bruno a little more time. and his reaction when bruno tells him this says everything.

Keeping everyone alive is his role, and he spends the early days of the part being given shit for being a newcomer, so having a solidified sense of usefulness only to have it swiped away so quickly when his stand cannot save his comrades is rough.

golden experience requiem is interesting in this context because its main purpose is protecting him from any and all harm. giorno has again, spent the entire part going through jojo typical levels of body horror, gore, etc, with the added benefit that he can remake limbs and chunks of flesh so they can do a lot worse to the part 5 cast and have them live. so in one sense, GER is a reward of sorts. he endured all that and his reward is never getting hurt again.

But at the same time, it's cruel irony that even with one of the most powerful stands in the world, its capabilities are on protecting him and no other. im sure that his enhanced capabilities make it easier of course, but the idea that he could still be too late will forever remain. whug.

some interesting things to consider with chapter 13

Spoilers below and I might add more to the list soon.

Dragona's mispronounced name is a play-on Dragona's name and the word for trash. In Kanji, the first part of Dragona's name can be reinterpreted as JoJo (do-ra) and the term used for trash (gomi) is often used as an insult to call someone useless, shit, worthless, etc. So, Dragona is basically called "JoJo trash/useless JoJo" under the guise of mispronunciation. If we were to translate this into English, Dragona would be miscalled "Crap-ona" since Ds can be misread as Cs and Gs as Ps.

A popular drama known as "The Glory" became popular overseas around 2022 due to its story about a girl severely bullied by rich students ultimately gaining revenge. It was praised for the rawness of the bullying portrayed and it was based on a real life situation in 2006 where the victim of bullying experienced what was portrayed in the drama. What was not portrayed (I think) was the experience of the real life victim having their chest mutilated to the point of scarring.

Dragona mentioning about not wanting to live due to the circumstances reference Bruno echoing similar sentiments to Giorno before passing away. Both felt like they have nothing left to live until the Joestar gave them hope due to their actions.

Jodio's thoughts on why things happen reference Pucci having similar sentiments after Perla's death-- which leads him to reunite with DIO. While Pucci wonders why the knowledge he was forced to take in hurt him, Jodio wonders why the knowledge he was denied to have hurt him instead. We see how his quality of being methodical also has a flaw that explains him mentioning in chapter 2 how the "unfairness" of the world drives him mad.

To be blamed for the insurance payout and Barbara Ann being mostly a stay-at-home-mom means Jodio and Dagona's father must have been very high ranked to end up in such a situation while serving as a breadwinner of the family before his abandonment. Jodio and Dragona's father leaving is similar to Jotaro abandoning Jolyne for their safety. Both had to leave their children behind because otherwise their children will be harmed.

Meryl Mei's detail about school tuition is interesting due to McKinley High being a public school and initially thought to be an error. Remembering how Barbara Ann mentioned Jodio's academic performance earlier, she could have put him in a private school intended to bring his performance up, and that's why Barbara Ann mentioned school tuition. It makes me wonder if Jodio had just started going to public school; did he actually improve, was tuition ultimately too much, or did Meryl Mei manipulated things to put him in her high school so she could keep better watch on him?

Howler references King Crimson song "The Howler", which comes from an album trilogy (Discipline, Beat, Three of a Perfect Pair) that came out after the band's hiatus and known for introducing a brand new sound. Discipline features the song "Matte Kudasai", Beat has "The Howler", and Three of a Perfect Pair is yet to be referenced. There's a song in Beat called "Requiem", which caused the group to break up due to creative differences but later reconcile.

Three of a Perfect Pair has exactly 9 tracks with one side representing the New Wave style that Beat introduced and the other side representing the Industrial style that Discipline introduced. I got a whole post made about the albums here.

As a infrastructure group worth 50 billion dollars, they may have great influence over the community similar to that of Meryl Mei and branches that hire people for contract and whatnot. Is it possible that Usagi's father used to work for them? Is it possible that Jodio's father has some sort of connection to the insurance payout that Usagi's family currently live off?

Howler could be a play-on the Hawaiian world Haole, which is used to describe something not native to Hawaii, particularly foreigners. There are a few irl construction/infrastructure companies called Howler that are notably not from Hawaii. Given rich corporations' histories with exploiting resources such as land, Howler could be a company with malicious intentions towards Hawaii's lands.

The Japanese term used for "absurdity" can also be translated to "illogical", "nonsensical", and interestingly "unjust". When we see the characters mentioning absurdity, they could just not only be saying things don't make sense but things aren't fair or equal. It makes a callback to Chapter 2 more interesting.

ABSUЯD is a song written by Guns N Roses from their album Chinese Democracy, which was known to take a long time to come out and a rather very unpopular album due to how different it sounded from Guns N Roses' previous music.

Hello! Can I request the Bucci Gang (jjba) with an s/o who’s never smiled before due to past trauma? However during the fight with the Boss (Diavolo), their s/o gets fatally injured but right before they die, they finally smile for the first time in years at said Bucci Gang character and say something along the lines of; “Thank you, for everything you’ve done for me…” before passing away due to blood loss(?)

Can the characters be separated too plz? Ty!

Hey! Omg, noo this is so sad ;-; I love angst but I love these characters sm it's gonna hurt writing this haha. This started to get super long so I might need to separate this into two posts. Here’s the first three characters tho!

Giorno, Bruno, Mista x s/o who smiles for the first/last time

Giorno

He knew you would survive, at least that's what he kept thinking to himself. You were witty, able to defend yourself against all of the assassins that were sent to kill the group, and you utilized your stand ability to make sure you would succeed. You had saved him once before too during the fight on the plane to Sardinia. However, he didn't calculate exactly how devastating King Crimson would be until it was too late

You joined the group at the same time as he did. Both of you were slightly reserved, not as chaotic as some of the other mafia members but also not too aloof. You two also got along because of similar interests. However, one thing he noted was that you didn't smile, he saw you laugh once when you saw the dance Mista, Narancia, and Fugo had been practicing before, but that was it. He would be lying if he said he didn't feel slightly dizzy when you stood close to him.

Giorno never asked you about your past, but it was brought up when you two were in the car with Bruno and Mista when battling the mad doctor Cioccolata and his partner Secco. You had mentioned you had something happen to you, perhaps you were left alone most of the time as a child like Giorno was, or you witnessed a horrible fight between two rivaling gangs. Whatever it was, you tried to brush it off by downplaying your childhood and saying "it's fine though, I'm feeling better with you all." Giorno was probably the one to tell you that you shouldn't be ashamed of what you had to go through, it was something that shouldn't have happened of course but you couldn't have the past haunt you forever. He was about to confess at that moment that he would want to go on a coffee outing with you, perhaps when the whole fight against Diavolo was over, but that was cut short with a corpse flying into the window of the car

Either way, here you two were now, at the Colosseum. It was fitting for a final duel, between the Devil himself one might argue. What made things worse was how Silver Chariot Requiem had switched all of your bodies around, and now you weren't sure who you supposed to trust and who was, well, the boss himself. You had taken the body of a random civilian that had made the poor decision to sneak into the Colosseum when the fight started. Just when it seemed like you could breathe and calm down from the chaos, you felt something grab you and throw you up against the stone wall. It was so fast, like time had skipped to the result of the assault that you could only feel a piercing pain coursing through your entire body. Then, you felt blood trickling down your face. It would be a few minutes too late before the rest of the gang found you.

The rest of the team had been split up from you without knowing where you were. Giorno, who was usually calm and collected, was starting to panic a little bit. Time skipped, he knew it because the blood droplets from his finger suddenly went from two to five out of nowhere. This worried the rest of the team, you would have to be close by. That was when Trish (who's soul had taken Mista's body) pointed at you and shouted someone had gotten hurt.

"Y/n!" The group rushed towards you, realizing it was you when you tried to pull out your stand but it immediately dissipated. "No, no, you have to stay awake. Hold on," Giorno was the one to rush to you first, he knew his stand would be able to patch you up, but at the same time, the blood loss from your wound could be even worse inside your body. Coughing, you tell him not to worry about you, that it wasn't likely you were going to make it out alive. Swearing in Italian, Giorno tells you not to give up, but you take his hand, telling him that it was alright.

"I like seeing you smile more," you coughed, clearly the impact was in your chest, you couldn't really see him because of you losing consciousness. That was when he saw you trying to smile, slowly pulling the corners of your lips upward in a sad farewell, you smiled at him. "Th-thank you...I'm sorry I wasn't able to do much, but I want you to know...I truly enjoyed spending time with you and everyone else. T...take care...take down Diavolo..."

That was the last thing he heard from you before you stopped breathing. He thought he could help heal the wounds but it was too late. Knowing that the fight wasn't over, he tried to hold back tears, placing a caste kiss on your forehead before standing back up and looking back at the team. "We know he's around, he shouldn't be too far," Giorno tried to sound level, but Trish noticed his eyes were slightly teary. If anything, Giorno wanted to make sure Diavolo received the worst punishment possible after what he did to you and the family he found.

Bruno

He was a dead man walking when it was time to fight Diavolo, he knew his time was basically up. However, he didn't want to see anyone die, he wanted to be the last one to say farewell. After Abbacchio's passing, he swore he would never let anyone else in the team suffer a painful death.

He recruited you around the same time as Fugo, but you two had known each other before that. Both of you lived in the town near the sea, with your parents being local bakers and Bruno's father being a fisher. At first, he didn't want you to be part of the mafia world at all, you were too kind. But after an incident with a rivaling gang that you happened to be in the collision of, you insisted you would make a good team partner. While he wanted you to recover by staying out of the Italian underworld, eventually he agreed under the condition you two would help take down the drug dealing businesses.

He remembers you smiling from his childhood, but he was saddened that you never smiled after the run-in with the other gang. He still had a lot of conversations and a lot of good memories with you after that, but the only thing missing was that warm, peaceful smile. He hoped he would see it again, but until then remained focused on his work in Passione. Bruno's feelings likely first started before you two were part of Passione, but he didn't think about it too hardly. He would likely start wondering if he should really tell you how he feels after Giorno joins the team and after you two have worked for some time together.

Bruno never told you what happened in Venice when he suddenly declared he was going to betray the Boss. You followed him, but when you asked him what had happened and if he was alright, he gave you a soft smile and said not to worry about him. He would keep it a secret from you, and when you were in the Coco Jumbo with Trish during the fight against Cioccolata, he hoped you hadn't heard him talking to Giorno about how he was now a walking corpse. During the time after he was basically killed by King Crimson, he did wonder what it would have been like if you two were normal civilians, perhaps he would have asked you out on a date and you two might have had a stroll by the beach.

In the fight at the Colosseum, you split up with Bruno and you were with Giorno. When Chariot Requiem's ability came into effect, the first thing he did was make sure you were alright. He didn't know whose body you had taken, but he tried to call out your name. While he was looking for you on his own, time suddenly skipped. Diavolo was still close by. Bruno's known for being level-headed, but in this moment he started to feel panicked. Were you alright? Was Diavolo fighting with you and the rest of the gang? He got the answers to his question when he turned one of the corners of the many gates at the ancient structure. You looked like you almost had a whole to your chest only it was your shoulder that was agape. You were bleeding from your head and you looked like you were about to pass out. "Y/N!"

At first, you look afraid, trying to move away from Bruno because of his appearance as the boss. Even when he called out your name and tried to take you into his arms, you mumbled a "n-no" before coughing violently. After multiple times of telling you it was really Bucciarati, you allow him to embrace you. He told you to hang on, not to lose your focus and for you to keep close to him. Bruno looked around to see if there was anyone close by, but he couldn't find a single person. Surely Giorno, or Polnareff even, was close by, right? Carrying you bridal style, he now tries to find the rest of his teammates.

That was when suddenly he felt a cold hand tap at his shoulder. You looked so weak, you were losing so much blood. But it was here that you looked up at him with teary eyes and gave him what he had wanted to see for so long — your smile. "Sorry it had to be this way, I should have been...more careful," your voice was hoarse, like you were choked up from the tears. "I wish I could have gone back to the shore with you, but you'll have to go for me alone." "Don't say that, you're going to make it out alive!" Bruno knew it was a slim chance, but a chance nonetheless. He didn't want to give up, he couldn't see you leave him, not before he could tell you

"T-this isn't a goodbye...just a see you later...T-thank you for letting me by your side all these years, I really think...I fell in love with you." With that, you were gone. Before he could say anything, before he could give you a kiss you left with such a peaceful expression. Bruno's vision went blurry, tears rolled down. When Giorno and the team found him again, they also found you. Explanations aside, the team moved swiftly to once again track down the Boss. But while the rest of the team were busy looking for the arrow and the Devil himself, Bruno couldn't help but wonder, how soon was it really that he was going to see you again. You asked him to live long and healthy, but it seemed like he would be seeing you on the last train home too.

Mista

You had joined before Mista and the first thing he had done when he saw you was, well, flirt. He really thought he was going to get you blushing, but you just rolled your eyes and told him to leave you alone. While on most occasions he would have done just that and went about his day, you two were a. stuck together in the same gang, and b. he kind of liked your attitude.

Surprisingly, you two would start to get along. His jokes couldn't really get you smiling, but you did give a few laughs here and there, so he thought he was at least winning some of your attention. While he was planning to tell you how he felt with a more serious (and expensive) date, you were the one to confess you liked him, but you said "I like you as well" as if you knew what he was going to say. When asked about it, you said during a mission Number 1 told you in secret while he was too busy focusing on the rest of his stand.

The entire gang thought it was kinda cute. Would Narancia and Fugo tease Mista about it? Yes. Would Abbacchio as well? Yes. Either way, you two enjoyed each others' company a lot, but Mista wondered if you ever smiled. He didn't really ask you to, nor did he want you to force yourself to smile when you didn't want to, but he did ask. You tried to make it brief, that it was something from your family relations that snapped the ability to smile away from you. He promised he was going to make you smile again though, saying he would make sure those past nightmares don't keep haunting you. Either way, he wanted to be the most supportive boyfriend he could be. However, nothing could prepare him for what was going to happen.

With the introduction of Giorno and Trish, the direction of the gang started to shift. Soon enough, you and your friends were fighting the Boss himself and assassins seemed to follow your every move. You mostly helped Mista during the fights and giving his bullets encouragement (especially no.5). He definitely talked to you about a life after the overthrowing of Diavolo but before that he also tried to make you smile. He didn’t ask what it was that caused you to not feel comfortable smiling, but he promised he would make you smile one day. Mista just didn’t know that would be the last smile he would see from you as well.

During the fight, you were separated from the rest of the team. Diavolo had managed to find you and target you as one of the traitors he would make an example of. When you were least expecting it, a hand suddenly grabbed your hair and threw you upwards. The next thing you knew was your arm was torn off. It was like time was going in skips and you had a horrible feeling it had to do with the Boss. You tried to fight him but it was to no avail. Mista would find you as he ran looking for you with the rest of the team. “Y/N!” Everyone ran towards your almost lifeless body, Mista taking you into his arms and telling you to not lose consciousness yet. “You can’t die, Giorno can patch you up and—“

“It’s okay, the boss is near you guys have to finish the job,” you stopped him, your breath ragged and your voice weak. He looked at you with tearful eyes, shaking his head and saying he couldn’t let go of you yet. “I’ve had the happiest moments with you,” reaching up to his face, you cupped his cheek. “I love you so much, thank you for everything.” With that, you were gone, you smiled at him with tears sliding down your cheeks before you collapsed in his arms. He didn’t know what to say, what to do. Was he supposed to scream? He just sat there, holding you and looking with disbelief.

After the fight he would continue to work with Giorno. However everyone who talked to him would hear his voice in a slightly tired tone. He spoke of a special someone, talking about them with a sense of longing. He missed you everyday, talking about you to whoever would listen to him. He truly made you smile, but oh what he would do to see you smile once more.

It was quiet, too quiet.

Giorno frowned as he looked around the office. Something was amiss in the air and dread slowly crawled down his spine. He stood up, eyes warily training on every nook and cranny of the office. Giorno decided to get a glass of water, to calm his nerves before he worked again. His Stand, Gold Experience Requiem, hummed under his skin frantically.

'Something's wrong,' Giorno thought. 'I can feel it. Something is really wrong here and I don't know what it is.'

He slowly descended down the stairs to the living room where he was hit with a strong sense of fear. The living room was cloaked in an inky, thick darkness where he could barely make out the various shapes of the furniture. He frowned as he grabbed the stairs' railing tightly, very careful to tread lightly on the steps. However, he slipped and fell right into some liquid.

"Huh," Giorno blinked, flabbergasted, and looked at his hands. "What, what the hell?"

His eyes widened when he saw what liquid stained his hands. It was a deep dark red with a strong iron scent. His stomach churned with the familiar discomfort of nausea as he tried to get away from this river. It wasn't until he was back in the office somehow. He looked all around.

"Giorno."

That was Bruno's voice. Giorno turned around to see Bruno standing there, looking at him lifelessly. Around his neck, arms, and legs were thin threads. The strings jerked Bruno's body erratically as it tumbled over to Giorno. Giorno bit back a scream, horrified.

"B-Bucciarati," Giorno stuttered. "How did this happen...?"

"What are your orders, Giorno," Bruno's voice mumbled mechanically. "We will follow you to the end, Giorno. We will die for you, Giorno." His voice sounded rough, scratchy, robotic. As if he was another mafioso.

"Bruno," Giorno whispered. "Bruno, what are you talking about?"

"You are the Don of Passione now, Giorno," Bruno continued on. "You control every single one of our movements." His arm waved and soon, all of Giorno's friends appeared in the same state that Bruno was. "It's all up to you, Don Giorno. You command us. You're our puppeteer."

"W-What?"

Giorno looked down at his hands in horror. His lithe fingers had been tightly intertwined with thin cords of string, like that of a puppeteer. He tried to get the strings off his hands but found that he could not move an inch. Giorno found that his own arms and legs were tied up in string.

"Yes," A low voice sneered in the air. "You are the puppeteer, Giorno Giovanna. But you'll always be a puppet in my hands."

Giorno dared to look up and saw a demonic Diavolo grinning down at him with his claws puppeteering Giorno's arms and legs. Giorno tried to struggle against the string, but it was useless, useless, useless...

"GioGio," A soft voice gently whispered. "GioGio, time to wake up. It's time for you to take your medicine."

Giorno's eyes fluttered open to see an angelic face looking at him and a soft hand petting his hair. For a few minutes, he was confused as to what happened while he was moved into a sitting position on the bed by the angel, who was none other than [Y/N]. A faint bell mixed with a light weight jumping on the bed and cuddling next to him revealed to be Midnight, the Passione cat.

"What happened?" Giorno whispered, confused.

"You have a fever," [Y/N] answered gently, gently handing him the cup of medicine. "No doubt from overworking and the weather change."

"Fever, huh," Giorno huffed a mirthless laugh as he drank the cup of medicine. "That explains it."

"You mean the nightmare you had," [Y/N]'s brows furrowed. "Yeah, I can't imagine it was all that pleasant."

"It was," Giorno sighed, gently petting Midnight. "Well, it was horrible. I was like a marionette on strings and everyone else was, too. And, as I was trying to get the strings off, I saw..." A shudder. "I saw... him."

"Oh," [Y/N] whispered in understanding before smiling and holding Giorno's face in their hands. "It'll be okay. It's just a weird dream."

"I know," Giorno nodded gently. "It's just that it was frightening and seemed too real."

"It feels like that, sometimes," [Y/N] nodded in understanding. "Want me to stay here until you fall asleep?"

"...Yes," Giorno answered after a moment's hesitation. "I would really like that."

[Y/N] gently laid Giorno down while Midnight adjusted so that she could cuddle up to Giorno. Giorno smiled and let his eyes slip close while [Y/N] stroked his hair lovingly.

"Sleep, darling," He heard them whisper. "I'll protect you from the nightmares."
